Xuesong JIANG ; Zhitao ZHU ; Wenhua LIU

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice.2007;13(5):434-437,封3.

Objective To investigate whether uninduced autologous bone-marrow mononuclear cell (ABM-MNC) could survive and differentiate into myocardial cells and endothelial cells in the infarcted heart. Methods 40 male big-ear Japanese rabbits were divided into two groups randomly: the transplanted group (n=20) and the control group (n=20). The model of acute myocardial infarction was made by left anterior descending artery ligation, which was confirmed by ECG. The cardiac function was evaluated by the echocardiography. 7 days later, BrdU labeled ABM-MNCs were injected into infarcted and marginal area myocardium in the transplanted group, while the control rabbits were injected with saline. 6 weeks later, the hearts were harvested for histology and immunohistochemistry evaluation. Results In the transplanted group, viable cells labeled with BrdU could be identified in the infarcted area, and myocytes and endothelial cells labeled with BrdU can also be found in the border area, these cells demonstrate myogenic differentiation with the expression of α-Actin by immunostaining. Moreover, the vessel density of the transplanted group in the borders of the infarction was higher than the control group (P<0. 05), but there was no difference in the infarcted areas between two groups (P>0.05). At the 6 weeks after experiment, the cardiac function was improved in both groups, but the transplanted group improved more than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Autologous bone-marrow mononuclear cells injected into the infarcted myocardium could survive in both the infarcted and the border areas, differentiated into endothelial cells and other cells which have obtained the characters of myocytes, and increase the vessel density in border area, improved the cardiac function.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice.2016;22(10):1214-1217. doi:10.3969/j.issn.1006-9771.2016.10.022

Objective To analyze the relative factors of functional recovery after upper limbs replantation. Methods From September, 2009 to March, 2014, 24 consecutive patients after upper limb replantation for amputation were retrospectively analyzed. The Disability of Arm Shoulder and Hand (DASH) was used to assess the functional recovery of the upper limbs at the last follow-up. The non-conditional Logistic regression was used to analyze the correlation of gender, age, time from injury to surgery, amputated level, amputated method, isch-emia hours, dominant hand or not, rehabilitation treatment, rehabilitation duration, and the DASH scores. Results The DASH score was>28.50 in 15 patients, while ≤28.50 in 9 patients. The Logistic regression analysis demonstrated that amputated method and rehabilitation treatment correlated with the functional recovery of upper limbs (χ2>7.360, P<0.05), and no correlation was found in the other factors (χ2<3.789, t=1.515, P>0.05). Conclusion The amputated method and rehabilitation treatment after operation are the factors related to the func-tional recovery after upper limb replantation.

Yazhen WU ; Ruixia XU

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice.2016;22(10):1196-1199. doi:10.3969/j.issn.1006-9771.2016.10.018

Objective To investigate the effect of cerebroprotein hydrolysate on the serum high sensitivity C reactive protein (hsCRP), insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) and interleukin-18 (IL-18) in patients with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) in plateau region. Methods From January, 2013 to May, 2015, 104 cases with neonatal HIE in our department were randomly divided into conventional treat-ment group (n=52) and cerebroprotein hydrolysate group (n=52). Besides, 35 cases of healthy newborn were chosen as the control group. The total effective rate and the serum hsCRP, IGF-1, IL-18 levels were compared. Results The IGF-1 level was lower, and the levels of hsCRP and IL-18 were higher in moderate HIE group and severe HIE group than in the control group and the mild HIE group, respectively (P<0.05). The efficiency rate was significantly higher in the cerebroprotein hydrolysate group than in the conventional treatment group (χ2=8.922, P=0.012). Compared with the conventional treatment group, the IGF-1 level increased, and the levels of hsCRP and IL-18 decreased in the cerebroprotein hydrolysate group (P<0.05). Conclusion Cerebroprotein hydrolysate is effective on patients with HIE in plateau re-gion. The changes of serum hsCRP, IGF-1, and IL-18 levels can be used as auxiliary indexes for early diagnosis of HIE.

Pei MIAO ; Tong ZHANG ; Haixia MI

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice.2016;22(10):1190-1195. doi:10.3969/j.issn.1006-9771.2016.10.017

There are many ways to prepare middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) rat model. The focal cerebral ischemia model es-tablished by the suture-occluded method is widely accepted as an ideal focal cerebral ischemia model, which can be used in the basic and clinical study of cerebral vascular diseases. However, it still has the defects of high technical requirement, large model difference and high animal mortality. A variety of focal cerebral ischemia models were established by changing the retention time of the thread, the road the thread plugging into, the type of thread bolt and the depth of the thread plugging. This article compared different suture-occluded method, as well as the suture-occluded method to other modeling methods, different cerebral ischemia models may be different in the pathophysiology of cerebral infarction, and the effects may also be different.
