Objective To observe the effects of modified Shenmaiyin on arrhythmia in CHD. Methods A total of 180 patients were randomly recruited into a control group (80 cases) and a treatment group (100 cases). Both groups were treated with conventional western medicines. On this basis, the treatment group was treated with modified Shenmaiyin. The conditions of myocardial ischemia and arrhythmia were observed for both groups. Results The total effective rate of ischemia and arrhythmia were 50.00% and 80.00% in the treatment group, constrating to 32.50% and 60.00% in the control group, showing statistical difference (P<0.05). Conclusion Modified Shenmaiyin had sound effects in improving ischemia and arrhythmia.

Dawen LI ; Yingjun WANG

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine.2010;32(5):411-412. doi:10.3760/cma.j.issn.1673-4246.2010.05.011

Objective To observe the curative effect of the combined action of Compound Xuanju Capsule and Prednisone on oligospermatism and antisperm antibody due to yang deficiency of kidney. Methods 136 patients were randomly divided into two groups: a treated group, which was taken Compound Xuanju Capsule and Prednisone, and a control group, which was taken Prednisone and Tamoxifen Citrate Tablet. Both groups received a 3-month therapy. The conditions of semen and antisperm antibody between the two groups were observed before and after the treatment. Results The total effective rate of the treated group was 90.94% (61 in 67 cases), and in which 11 cases were pregnant (16.41%). While the total effective rate of the control group was 63.07% (41 in 65 cases), and in which 2 cases were pregnant (3.08%).The clinical efficacy of the treated group was better than that of the control group. (P<0.05) After the treatment, sperm density and motility of two groups were both evidently increased, (P<0.05, P<0.01) and the treated group increased much more obviously (P<0.05). Conclusion The combined action of Compound Xuanju Capsule and Prednisone can improve the curative effect on the treatment for male infertility from oligospermatism and antisperm antibody due to yang deficiency of kidney.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine.2010;32(5):400-401. doi:10.3760/cma.j.issn.1673-4246.2010.05.006

Objective To investigate the influence of Zhuanggu granule on the concentration of IL-1β and TN-F-α in knee cavity of patients with knee degenerated osteoarthritis. Methods A total of eighty patients with knee degenerated osteoarthritis were recruited into a Zhuanggu granule group (30 cases), a Sulphuric acid Glucosamine group (15 cases) and a Sodium Hyaluronate group (15 cases) according to Doll grouping method. After all groups were treated for 4 weeks, the changes of concentration of IL-1β and TNF-α was detected before and after the therapy Results After the treatment, the concentration of IL-1β and TNF-α in Zhuangu granule group was significantly lower than the other two groups (Sodium Hyaluronate and sulphuric Glucosamine group). Conclusion Zhuangu Granule could influence the concentration of IL-1β and TNF-α in patients of knee degenerated osteoarthritis.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine.2010;32(5):396-397. doi:10.3760/cma.j.issn.1673-4246.2010.05.004

Objective To explore the mechanism of preventive effect of Chinese medicine with Replenishing kidney and invigorating Qi on osteoarthritis. Methods 72 male Long-eared white rabbits aged 4 months were randomly divided into six groups, A group (blank control group), B group (model group), C group (traditional Chinese medicine high-dose prevention group), D group (Chinese herbal medicine with medium-dose prevention group), E group (Chinese herbal medicine with low-dose prevention group), F group (glucose-amino acid hydrochloride capsules prevention group). All the animals apart from A group were established osteoarthritis model by immobilizing knee joint with plaster cast for 6 weeks. In the same time of immobilization, traditional Chinese medicine and glucose-amino acid hydrochloride capsules were given to C, D, E and F group for 4 weeks. Physiological saline was given to B group. After 6 weeks of modeling, synovial fluid was extracted and the changes of TNF-α in it were analyzed by ELISA. Results Articular cartilage degeneration of B group was most obviously compared with C, D, E and F group. There was a significant difference of TNF-α level in comparison of A and B group (P<0.05), B and C, D, E and F group (P<0.05), and among C, D and E group. Conclusion Chinese medicine with replenishing kidney and invigorating Qi can prevent osteoarthritis by reducing TNF-α level in synovial fluid, enhancing cartilage cell metabolism, and slowing down cartilage degradation.

Study on stability of compatibility of Qingkailing and Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate Injection

Weizhen KANG ; Manbo CHEN

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine.2010;32(4):357-358. doi:10.3760/cma.j.issn.1673-4246.2010.04.044

Objective To study the stability of Qingkailing injection, Qingkailing and dexamethasone sodium phosphate injection in compatibility of 0.9% sodium chloride injection, 5% glucose injection, 10% glucose injection, glucose and sodium chloride injection. Methods Such changes as appearance, pH, and insoluble particulate were observed at the room temperature after mixing together of the Qing Kai Ling Injection, Qingkailing and dexamethasone sodium phosphate injection with 0.9% sodium chloride injection, 5% glucose injection, 10% glucose injection, glucose and sodium chloride injection. Results Dexamethasone sodium phosphate did not affect the stability of the Qingkailing. The PH value of Qingkailing stayed at 6.4~7.0 after being mixed with four kinds of solutions. The compatibility solutions had no significant change in appearance, met to the requirements of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia insoluble particle detection specification Conclusion Qing Kai Ling Injection, Qing Kai Ling and dexamethasone sodium phosphate injection can be used together with solvent compatibility of 0.9% sodium chloride injection, 5% glucose injection, 10% glucose injection, glucose and sodium chloride injection within 8 h.
