Evaluation on the effects of Muop Dang (la-kwa) liquid glue in patients with mellitus Diabetes Type II after the treatment for stability by Western medicines

30 inpatients of two genders, suffering from type II diabete, aged above 40 have received a treatment with Muop Dang fluid extract producted in Ha Noi traditional medicine Hospital in the year 2001. Results showed that an effect of antihypertension, patients blood pressure had maintained in good level 66,7%, in mean 26,7% and bad 6,6%. With a dose of 100 ml/day in 3 months successively no adverse effects manifested

The effects of Luu Hoang (sulphur)

Luu Hoang with its yellow colour, spongy consistency, sour taste, toxicity, can infultrate inward through the medians of kidney and large bowel. Oral use of Luu Hoang can tossify the “fire”, assiste the “yang”. Topic use can detoxicate, kill the parasite, treat the pimples, Luu Hoang abates the itch in cases of scale, fungi on skin, eczema. Luu Hoang is used in the conditions of boil, the cold in kidney, coldish impaired “yang”, coldish secretion, difficulty in faces exerete and urinate. Oral use of 1-3 g in powder and pill, topic use with powder spreaded in the wound… are the most common methods. Counter indications are in the cases of impaired “iin”, exceeded “fire”, pregnancy, and incompatible with Phac Tieu

Blood stagnation syndrome and rheumatoid arthritis

In studying the relation of blood stagnation syndrome and rheumatoid arthritis, the incidence and the severity were evaluated on 78 subjects of rhumatoidal poly arthritis (4 males, 74 females) aged 38-83 in Toyama Hospital, in April 2001. The incidence of blood stagnation in 53.8% following Terasawa is related significantly with the progress of rhumatoid poly arthritis, using the indication of Lansbury activity (p=0.083). This indicator increases dramatically in 5 patients of blood stagnation after 6 months (p=0.043). The results showed the relation between the level of stagnation and the activity of arthritis

Evaluation on the effects of moxa – electroacupuncture combined with massage in the treatment of sciatica caused by cold and spondylosis

35 patients (15 male, 20 female) irrespective of gender, profession and age, were diagnosed as sciatica due to cold and spodilosis. Moxa - electroacupuncture combined with massage gave good results. (73.2% of patients got the symptoms resolved and relieved). Procedure N01 is appropriate for sciatica along the meridian of bladder, and the procedure N02 along the meridian of gall

Evaluation on the effects of LP4 in the treatment of blood lipid disorders in 52 patients in Hospital of traditional medicine, Tuyen Quang province

From January 2000 to July 2002, in Tuyen Quang Hospital of Traditional Medicine, 52 patients (32 male, 20 female) aged 30-37, with the syndrome of hyperlipidemia, having clinical signs of pain and weary limbs, dim sight, deteriorated memory, high blood presure and headache… A 30 days course of LP4 formula in combining with proper diet (a decoction daily). Good results reported on 27 patients, satisfied on 21, medium 2 and bad on 2. No side effect is notified

The role of 3 acupuncture points (Dan trung, Trung quan, and Khi hai) in “Khi” – regulating

These 3 points are the regulatory of "Khi", for treating specifically all diseases of "Khi". Khi Hai is the reservoir of "Khi" ("Air") which originates the "Khi" of all body, the dynamic "Khi" below the navel and the departure of original "Khi". Dan Trung is located in the middle of two lungs. Just the lungs manage the body in whole, they consume the out air and regulate the "Khi" extracted from the digestion of food supplied by the gastrointestinal artery. Trung Quan is the coincide points of all organs, making the pure "Khi" circulated upwards and the opaque "Khi" downwards. From there central "Khi" regulate the whole for creating the complete store of "Khi"

Traditional Medicine in prevention and treatment of refractory diseases

It’s well known that bad health leads to serious illness. The fight against diseases demands the reinforcement of the body. This is particularly true in the case of treating refractory diseases, such as AIDS. The traditional medicine reinforces the body by invigorating “qi” and reriching the blood, and regulating the functions of five “zang”-organs. The treatment includes: 1. Invigorating “qi” and tonifying the blood. Recipe (R): Eight precious ingredients decoction; 2. Promoting flow of “qi” and blood circulation. R: Modified decoction of four ingredients; 3. Nourishing “yin” and clearing away the heat. Remedies (Re): Badix Trichosanthis, etc; 4. Removing heat from the blood to stop bleeding. R: Decoction of Rhinoceros Horn and Rehmania, ect; 5. Nourishing and tonifying “yin”. R: Decoction for relieving dryness of the lung, etc; 6. Clearing away heat and toxic materials. R: universal relief decoction for disinfection, etc; 7. Warming the hi and the kidney. R: Bolus for tonifying the kidney “qi”, etc
