Determination of the Contents of Magnolol and Honokiol in Weikang Capsule by HPLC

Objective To establish a HPLC method for determining the contents of Magnolol and Honokiol in Weikang Capsule.Methods Stationary phase was Hypersil ODS C_(18)(4.6mm?100mm,5?m),mobile phase was methanol-water(70:30),with detection wavelength 294 nm,flow rate 1.0mL/min and column temperature 30℃.Results There was good linearity in range of 0.0534～1.068?g(r=0.9998,n=6)for Magnolol.The average recoveries of Magnolol was 99.08%,RSD was 0.57%.There was good linearity in range of 0.09～1.80?g(r=0.9998,n=6)for Honokiol.The average recoveries of Honokiol was 98.95%,RSD was 0.69%.Conclusion This method is simple,fast and accurate for the quality control of the preparation.

Comparsion of Total Flavonids in Herba Scutellariae Barbatae from Different Places

Objective To compare the content of total flavonoids in Herba Scutellarlae Barbatae derived from different places.Method UV metric method was used to determine the contents of total flavonoids of Herba Scutellarlae Barbatae from different regions.Result The contents of total flavonoids in Herba Scutellariae Barbatae derived from Nantong Jiangsu,Juaoling Guangdong,Lixin Anhui,Huaning Hunan, Mojiang Yunnan,Yongding Fujian,Nanchang Jiangxi,Longsheng Guangxi,Honghu Hubei and Qingyuan Zhejiang were 4.16%,3.55%,2.89%,2.78%,2.41%,2.22%,2.16%,1.98%,1.61% and 1.51%,respectively. Conclusion The content of total flavonoids in Herba Scutellariae Barbatae from different places is quite different,and the highest is the one from Nantong Jiangsu.

Determination of Baicalin in Chaigejieji Decoction by HPLC

Objective To establish a HPLC method for determining Baicalin in Chaigejieji decoction. Method Baicalin was separated on ODS Kromasil C18 column with a mobile phase of methanol-water- phosphoric acid (47∶53∶0.2) and detected at 280 nm with a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. Results The calibration curve was linear at the range of 0.3373～1.6865 ?g (r =0.9997). The average recovery of Baicalin was 97.87% and RSD was 1.66%. Conclusion It is a simple and accurate method for the determination of Baicalin in Chaigejieji decoction.

Study on Preparing Curcumin Liposomes by Different Methods

Objective To study on preparation and encapsulation of Curcumin liposomes. Method Liposome was prepared by five kinds of methods, determining the encapsulation efficiency by Visible Spectrophotomery on 424 nm. Result The envelopment ratio of Curcumin liposome made by the method of ethanol injection was 73.5%. Conclusion The preparation process of ethanol injection is simple and apt to control. The new form of prepared drug can improve bioavailability of Curcumin.

RP-HPLC Determination of Geniposide in Xiaoyan Tuire Patch

Objective To establish a RP-HPLC method to determine the content of geniposide in Xiaoyan Tuire Patch. Method The column of Agilent ZORBAX SB-C18 (4.6 mm?250 mm 5 ?m) was used. The mobile phase was composed of water-acetonitrile-phosphoric acid (86∶14∶0.01). The flow rate was 1 mL/min, with UV detection at 238 nm, and the temperature was 30 ℃. Results The linear range was 0.07～0.70 ?g (r =0.99997). The average recovery was 98.60% and the RSD was 1.96%. Conclusion The method is simple, sensitive and accurate, and can be used for the determination of Xiaoyan Tuire Patch.

Determination of Icariin in Yishengling Granules (Sucrose-free) by HPLC

Objective To establish a method for determination of Icariin in Yishengling granules (Sucrose-free) by HPLC. Methods Using a column packed with C18 and mixture of acetonitrile-water (30∶70) as the mobile phase. The flow rate was 1.0 mL/min and the temperature was 30 ℃. The detection wavelength was at 270 nm. Result The linear range of Icariin was 4.1～20.5 ?g (r=1). The mean recovery was 102.90% and RSD was 1.72%. Conclusion The method is simple, reliable and rapid, and can be applied to the quality control of Yishenling granules (Sucrose-free).

Objective To study organ chlorine pesticide residuals of Bulpleurum chinense DC. cultivated of Dingxi. Method The contents of organ chlorine pesticide residuals was determined by chromatography. Result and Conclusion The contents of organ chlorine pesticide residuals are up to “Green Trade Standards of Importing & Exporting Medicinal plants & Preprations” (MOFTEC, 2001), but the contents are different among Bulpleurum chinense DC. cultivated in different distract of Dingxi.

Effect of Fengbei Huayu Capsule on FasL Gene Expression and T Cell Apoptosis of Type 2 Diabetic Rats

Effects of Yugong Qili Duoming Capsule on Expression of Bc1-2 in Brain Tissue of Cerebral Bleeding Model Rats

Objective To explore the curative mechanism of Yugong Qili Duoming Capsule for cerebral hemorrhage. Methods The model rats were established by being injected its blood to its own basal segmental, which induced cerebral bleeding. Bc1-2 was determined with immunohistochemical method and was used to evaluate the effect of Yugong Qili Duoming Capsule on the treatment group and other comparative group. Results The Bc1-2 cells in brain issue of model groups began to increase at the 1st day, reached its highest level at the 2nd day and decreased greatly at the 7th day. However, the Bcl-2 cells of the treatment group were much more than those of the model groups in the 2nd, 4th and 7th day. Conclusion Yugong Qili Duoming Capsule can increase expression of Bc1-2 in brain tissue of cerebral bleeding model rats.
