OBJECTIVETo compare the effects between acupuncture with regulating mind and spleen and wes-tern medication for diarrhea irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D).
METHODSEighty-one patients were randomly at the ratio of 2 to 1 assigned into an acupuncture group (54 cases) and a western medication group (27 cases). Acupuncture with regulating mind and spleen was applied in the acupuncture group for 6 weeks at Baihui (GV 20), Yintang (GV 29), Tianshu (ST 25), Zusanli (ST 36), Shangjuxu (ST 37), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), and Taichong (LR 3), once every other day, 3 times a week. Pinaverium bromide tablet was used orally in the western medication group for 6 weeks, 50 mg a time, 3 times a day. IBS symptom severity score (IBS-SSS) were observed before and after 1-week, 6-week treatment. Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) was applied before and after 6-week treatment. Also, clinical efficacy was evaluated in the two groups.
RESULTSThree patients dropped out in the acupuncture group, and 1 in the western medication group. Except abdominal distension score after 1-week treatment in the western medication group, single scores and total scores of IBS-SSS apparently reduced in the two groups after 1-week and 6-week treatment (<0.01,<0.05). After 1-week treatment, the abdominal pain score of the acupuncture group was obviously lower than that of the western medication group (<0.05). After 6-week treatment, with abdominal pain relief advantage, other results including the number of pain days, defecation satisfaction, life disturbance degree and total score of the acupuncture group were obviously lower than those of the wes-tern medication group (<0.01,<0.05). After 6-week treatment, the PSQI score and its change before and after treatment in the acupuncture group were superior to those in the western medication group (both<0.05). The relief rate and relief plus obvious effective rate in the acupuncture group were higher than those in the western medication group[51.0% (26/51) vs 19.2% (5/26),<0.01; 64.7% (33/51) vs 34.6% (9/26),<0.05].
CONCLUSIONSAcupuncture with regulating mind and spleen for diarrhea irritable bowel syndrome can more effectively relieve abdominal pain than pinaverium bromide tablet at the early stage. Its total effect and single effects are better at the later stage on abdominal pain, seizure frequency, defecation satisfaction, life disturbance, and sleep quality.

Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate the glioma using the variety of functional magnetic resonance imaging( fMRI) ,and to perform a more accurate preoperative diagnosis of gliomas. Methods Thirty - five patients with gliomas confirmed by pathology were examined by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)and functional MRI. Rapid diffusion coefficient(D?),Slow diffusion coefficient(D),perfusion fraction ( f) and distribution diffusion coefficient ( DDC ) in the intravoxel incoherent motion diffusion weighted imaging (IVIM-DWI) were analyzed statistically. Results The mean values of D?,D,f and DDC in the IVIM se-quence of the patients with high-grade of gliomas were statistically significant when compared to the IVIM values of the contralateral normal brain tissues(P<0. 05). Conclusion A variety of magnetic resonance functional im-aging sequences are used to analyze gliomas, which can avoid tumor heterogeneity and improve the recognition a-bility and accuracy of magnetic resonance imaging in high grade gliomas.

Objective To analyze the current status and the issues of alexithymia's nursing in China to provide references for further research in this area. Methods CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, CBM, PubMed and CINAHL databases were screened for published papers on alexithymia's nursing in China from their inauguration to 30th September 2016. Bibliometric data were extracted and analyzed using metrological analysis. Results A total of 84 papers were included. The first paper was published in 2001. The amount of the literature increased annually after 2009. Papers were mainly from the central and eastern regions and lack of foundation. The major papers were descriptive studies and accounted for 59.52%. The main topic was investigation of correlations between alexithymia and psychosomatic symptoms and symptoms of disease, which accounted for 48.84%. Subjects in the study were mainly patients with chronic diseases with a rate of 23.81%. In 23 included clinical trials, alexithymia's nursing was mainly performed in forms of group psychological counseling with a rate of 26.09%. The less common form was realization social support which accounted for 17.39%. The evaluation parameters contained 78.26% of functional indexes of patients and 21.74% of clinical outcome indicators. Conclusions The published papers are in small amount and with low quality. It is necessary to expand the studies on the specialized diseases and establish multi-dimension nursing model based on the combination of nursing theory and clinical practice.

To quantify the transcriptional activity of NF-κB and to screen drugs related to the regulation of NF-κB activation, we constructed a recombinant plasmid through deleting the original CMV promoter of retrovirus vector pQCXIP and inserting the NF-κB enhancer and NanoLuc luciferase sequence into the vector. Then, using the recombinant plasmid we constructed a cell line in which the expression of NanoLuc luciferase (NLuc) was regulated by NF-κB. The inserted sequences were verified by restriction endonuclease digestion and sequencing. Tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), an NF-κB activator, acted on the constructed NLuc cell line and leaded to the specific luciferase reaction. The luciferase reaction showed a fine time and dose dependence to the TNF-α stimulation, indicating the successful construction of the NF-κB regulated NLuc-expressing cell line. Besides, the NF-κB inhibitor, triptolide, reduced the expression of NLuc in a dose-dependent way. The constructed reporter system in this study could be applied in the quantification of the NF-κB transcriptional activity and in the NF-κB regulation-related drug screening.
