1.Development of a nature posture treatment suspension therapy based on ICF-CY

ObjectiveTo develop a rehabilitation program of nature posture treatment (NPT) suspension therapy based on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health-Children and Youth version (ICF-CY) framework, and apply it to neurodevelopmental disorders. MethodsThe ICF-CY theoretical group (group A) and NPT suspension therapy group (group B) were established. Group A searched literature from common databases, to extract high-frequency words related to suspension therapy and match with categories of ICF-CY, to develop ICF-CY theoretical framework of the NPT suspension therapy. Group B developed specific rehabilitation procedures and training items based on the framework to compose the training pool. A total of 110 children aged less than six years with neurodevelopmental disorders and associated motor impairments were selected from outpatient or inpatient of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical University, between October, 2019 and October, 2022. They were randomly divided into control group (n = 55) and clinical group (n = 55), who received routine neurodevelopmental therapy and NPT suspension therapy program based on ICF-CY, respectively, for a week. The incidence of satisfaction, acceptance and adverse events were observed. ResultsTwo cases in the control group and four cases in the clinical group dropped down. For the clinical group, the incidence of satisfaction was 98% (50/51), with acceptance of 96% (49/51), and one adverse event occurred. For the control group, the incidence of both the satisfaction and acceptance was 100%, and no adverse event occurred. There was no significant difference in the incidence of satisfaction, acceptance and the adverse event (P > 0.05). ConclusionThe NPT suspension therapy program based on the ICF-CY framework is safe and acceptable for children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
2.The nephrogenic adenoma of the bladder: 8 cases and literature review

Objective:To analyze the clinical characteristics of nephrogenic adenoma of the bladder.Methods:The clinical and pathological data of 8 patients with bladder nephrogenic adenoma, during the period from July 2016 to June 2019, were retrospectively analyzed. Patients’ age were 33 to 71 years old and the average age was 55, including 5 males and 3 females. The clinical manifestations were hematuria in 7 cases, urinary tract irritation in 6 cases, and no obvious symptoms in 1 case. There were 7 cases with cystitis, 3 cases with urolithiasis, 2 cases with bladder cancer, 1 case with invasive colonic mesentery fibroma, and 1 case without other complications. 5 cases had the history of urological operation. The predilection site was the lateral wall with 5cases; 5 cases were solitary; the average maximum diameter of the tumor was 0.9 cm (range 0.1-1.8 cm). Under cystoscope, papillary mass can be seen, the surface is bright red, the pedicle is not obvious, the papilla is thick and short, easy to bleed when touching; some of them are scattered and lichen like changes. All patients received transurethral resection of bladder mucosa.Results:Pathological examination shows that the bladder mucosa showed chronic inflammation, interstitial edema, granulation tissue hyperplasia, eosinophil infiltration and metaplasia of mesonephroid epithelium. All of the 8 patients were followed up by telephone for 2 to 38 months, with an average of 17.1 months. So far, neither recurrence has been detected.Conclusions:The diagnosis of nephrogenic adenoma of the bladder depends on pathological examination. It must be totally removed during operation. The recurrence and malignancy should be treated in time after operation.
3.Iodine nutrition and thyroid function in different populations after 20 years of universal salt iodization in iodine deficiency area of Shanxi Province

Objective To understand the iodine nutritional status and thyroid function of different populations after 20 years of universal salt iodization in iodine deficiency area of Shanxi Province, and to provide data support for scientific iodine supplementation according to local conditions. Methods In 2014, six townships (Chengguan, Dadeng, Dengzhuang, Gucheng, Xiangling and Fencheng townships) in Xiangfen County, Linfen City, Shanxi Province, were selected as the place of investigation. Four hundred school-age children aged 6 - 12 years (school-age children), 400 child-bearing women aged 18 - 44 (child-bearing women), 400 pregnant women, 400 lactating women and their 0 - 6 months breast-feeding infants (breast-feeding infants), and 400 children aged 7 -24 months were selected by two-stage sampling method. Water samples of school-age children's domestic drinking water and salt samples for domestic consumption were collected, and the water iodine and salt iodine were detected by arsenic and cerium catalytic spectrophotometry ( recommended by the National Iodine Deficiency Disorders Reference Laboratory) and "General Test Method in Salt Industry-Determination of Iodine" (GB/T 13025.7-2012). Random urine samples of all subjects were collected, urine iodine was detected by "Method for Determination of Iodine in Urine by As3+-Ce4+ Catalytic Spectrophotometry" ( WS/T 107-2006 ) . Samples of filter paper dried blood spots (DBS) of school-age children, child-bearing women, pregnant women, lactating women and breast-feeding infants were collected, and serum total thyroxine (TT4) and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) levels were detected by time-resolved fluorescence immunoassay. Results A total of 290 water samples were collected, and the median of water iodine was 9.37μg/L. A total of 406 salt samples were collected, the median of salt iodine was 25.0 mg/kg, the coverage rate of iodized salt was 98.52% (400/406), and the consumption rate of qualified iodized salt was 92.61% (376/406). Urine samples of 389 school-age children, 379 child-bearing women, 363 pregnant women, 365 lactating women, 366 breast-feeding infants, and 366 children aged 7 - 24 months were collected, and the medians of urine iodine were 200.7, 175.0, 186.0, 113.2, 285.8 and 204.8 μg/L, respectively. Among them, school-age children, breast-feeding infants, and children aged 7-24 months were over the appropriate level, while the rest populations were at the iodine appropriate levels. Blood samples of 402 school-age children, 397 child-bearing women, 398 pregnant women, 390 lactating women, and 386 breast-feeding infants were collected, and the medians of TT4 were 127.2, 110.2, 141.7, 95.8 and 139.0 nmol/L, respectively; the medians of TSH were 1.2, 0.9, 0.8, 0.9 and 0.9 mU/L, respectively, and they were all within the reference ranges. The abnormal rates of TT4 (8.46%, 33/390) and TSH (7.95%, 31/390) in lactating women were higher than those in school-age children, child-bearing women, pregnant women and breast-feeding infants [TT4 abnormal rates were 0.25%(1/402), 1.26% (5/397), 0.50% (2/398), 1.04% (4/386), respectively; TSH abnormal rates were 1.24% (5/402), 1.51% (6/397), 1.51% (6/398) and 0.78% (3/386), respectively, P < 0.05]. The rate of thyroid dysfunction in lactating women (7.95%, 31/390) was higher than those in the rest populations [1.24% (5/402), 1.51% (6/397), 1.51% (6/398), 0.78% (3/386), P < 0.05]. Conclusions The iodine intake of different populations in the survey area is generally sufficient, and the current salt iodine content standard can meet the iodine nutrition needs of different populations. Lactating women have a high rate of thyroid dysfunction. It is suggested to stick to the strategy of universal salt iodization to prevent iodine deficiency hazards in iodine deficiency areas, and further strengthen the monitoring of iodine nutrition and thyroid function of pregnant women and lactating women.
4.Effects of proton pump inhibitors on intestinal barrier function in the elderly

Objective To explore the effects of regular doses of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) on intestinal barrier function in the elderly.Methods The elderly hospitalized patients with acidrelated disorders were retrospectively analyzed from April to December 2016 in Department of Geriatrics,the General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Command.Based on the criteria of inclusion and exclusion,all patients received the stomachoscopy examination,and received PPI orally for more than 1 month.The treatment continued for 1-6 months.The blood status was routinely examined at pre-and post-treatment,including the level of liver function,C reactive protein (CPR),procalcitonin (PCT),diamine oxidase (DAO),D-lactate acid and serum endotoxin.Results A total of 88 elderly patients aged 80-96 years were involved.Most patients took PPI for 1 month.The levels of alanine aminotransferase,aspartate amino transferase,CPR and PCT were mostly normal after 1 month of treatment.Meanwhile,there were the comparabilities between the post-and pre-treatment groups in levels of DAO[(6.53±3.00) vs.(6.23±2.42) U/L;t=-0.91,P=0.37],of D-lactate acid[(7.31 ±3.67) vs.(7.62±3.35) mg/L;t=0.73,P=0.47]andof serum endotoxin[(11.69±5.98) vs.(10.97±5.76) U/L;t=-1.66,P=0.10]without statistical significance.Additionally,after 23 patients took PPI for 6 months,there were no statistical significances between the pre-and post-treatment groups in the levels of DAO[(5.35±2.49) vs.(6.59±2.69)U/L,t=1.89,P=0.07],of D-lactate acid[(8.12±3.84) vs.(7.71±3.65) mg/L,t=-0.73,P=0.47]and of serum endotoxin[(10.23 ± 5.51) vs.(10.41±6.45) U/L,t=0.18,P=0.86].Conclusions There is no significant effect on intestinal permeability and intestinal mucosa barrier function in the elderly taking PPI for 6 months.New studies are needed to understand the role of PPI in the intestinal microflora in the elderly.
5.Research on traditional Chinese medicine syndromes and symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome based on modern literature

Objective To probe into the distribution characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes of polycystic ovary syndrome and lay the foundation of the establishment of polycystic ovary syndrome's TCM diagnostic criteria. Methods Relevant modern literature was researched from CNKI and Wanfang and PubMed during 1949-2016, and a total of 257 literature were retrieved and included into the database. The title, author, name of syndromes and symptoms were listed in Excel and Access, and the original syndromes and symptoms were standardized and combined, and the frequency more than 2% items were analyzed. Results The high-frequency TCM syndromes of polycystic ovary syndrome were: phlegm-dampness, kidney asthenia, kidney yang deficiency, kidney asthenia and blood stasis, phlegm-blood stasis, liver depression and kidney asthenia, depression of the liver generated pathogenic fire, blood stasis, kidney yin deficiency,qi stagnation and blood stasis, spleen and kidney's yang deficiency, spleen asthenia and phlegm-dampness, liver depression, liver depression and qi stagnation. The symptoms were summarized. The current situation of the researches on traditional Chinese medicine syndromes of polycystic ovary syndrome was discussed. Conclusions The nature of the disease were mainly excessive and deficiency syndrome. The main disease locations were kidney, liver and spleen. The pathogenic factors mainly were phlegm-dampness and static blood. There were deficiencies in the researches on traditional Chinese medicine syndromes of polycystic ovary syndrome which required improvements and further studies.
6.Effects of direct current electric field on directional migration and arrangement of dermal fibroblasts in neonatal BALB/c mice and the mechanisms.

OBJECTIVETo explore the effects of direct current electric fields on directional migration and arrangement of dermal fibroblasts in neonatal BALB/c mice and the related mechanisms.
METHODSTwelve neonatal BALB/c mice were divided into 4 batches. The skin on the back of 3 neonatal mice in each batch was obtained to culture fibroblasts. Fibroblasts of the second passage were inoculated in 27 square cover slips with the concentration of 5 × 10(4) cells per mL. (1) Experiment 1. Six square cover slips inoculated with fibroblasts of the second passage were divided into electric field group (EF) and sham electric field group (SEF), with 3 cover slips in each group. The cover slips were put in live cell imaging workstation. The cells in group EF was treated with electric power with EF intensity of 200 mV/mm, while simulating process without actual power was given to SEF group (the same below) for 6 h. Cell proliferation rate was subsequently counted. (2) Experiment 2. Six cover slips were divided and underwent the same processes as in experiment 1. Cell movement locus within EF hour (EFH) 6, direction change of cell migration at EFH 0 (immediately), 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 which was denoted as cos(α), cell migration velocity within EFH 6, direction change of long axis of cell within EFH 6, and direction change of cell arrangement at EFH 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 which was denoted as polarity value cos[2(θ-90)] were observed under live cell imaging workstation. After EFH 6, the morphological changes in microtubules and microfilaments were observed with immunofluorescent staining. (3) Experiment 3. Six cover slips were divided into cytochalasin D group (treated with 1 μmol/L cytochalasin D for 10 min) and colchicine group (treated with 5 μmol/L colchicine for 10 min), with 3 cover slips in each group. The morphological changes in microfilaments and microtubules were observed with the same method as in experiment 2. (4) Experiment 4. Nine cover slips were divided into control group (no reagent was added), cytochalasin D group and colchicine group (added with the same reagents as in experiment 3), with 3 cover slips in each group. Cells in the 3 groups were exposed to an EF of 200 mV/mm for 6 h. Cell movement locus within EFH 6, cell migration velocity within EFH 6, cell polarity values at EFH 0, 3, and 6, and morphological changes of cells at EFH 0 and 6 were observed. Data were processed with independent samples t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and LSD test.
RESULTS(1) There was no statistically significant difference in cell proliferation rate in group EF and group SEF (t=-0.24, P﹥0.05). (2) Within EFH 6, cells in group EF migrated towards the anode of EF, while cells in group SEF moved randomly. At EFH 0, the values of cos(α) of cells in the 2 groups were both 0. The absolute value of cos(α) of cells in group EF (-0.57 ± 0.06) was significantly higher than that in group SEF (0.13 ± 0.09, t=6.68, P<0.01) at EFH 1, and it was still higher than that in group SEF from EFH 2 to 6 (with t values from 5.33 to 6.83, P values below 0.01). Within EFH 6, migration velocity of cells in group EF was (0.308 ± 0.019) μm/min, which was significantly higher than that in group SEF [(0.228 ± 0.021) μm/min, t=-2.76, P<0.01]. Within EFH 6, long axis of cells in group EF was perpendicular to the direction of EF, while arrangement of cells in group SEF was irregular. Cell polarity values in group EF were significantly higher than that in group SEF from EFH 2 to 6 (with t values from -7.52 to -0.90, P values below 0.01). At EFH 6, the morphology of microfilaments and microtubules of cells in EF group was similar to that in SEF group. (3) The fluorescent intensity of microfilaments of cells in cytochalasin D group became weakened, and the filamentary structure became fuzzy. The microtubules of cells in colchicine group became fuzzy with low fluorescent intensity. (4) Within EFH 6, cells in control group migrated towards the anode of EF, while cells in cytochalasin D group and colchicine group moved randomly. Within EFH 6, there was statistically significant difference in migration velocity of cells in the 3 groups (F=6.36, P<0.01). Migration velocity of cells in cytochalasin D group and colchicine group was significantly slower than that in control group (P<0.05 or P<0.01). At EFH 0, 3, and 6, cell polarity values in the 3 groups were close (with F values from 0.99 to 1.51, P values above 0.05). At EFH 0, cells in control group were spindle; cells in cytochalasin D group were polygonal or in irregular shapes; cells in colchicine group were serrated circle or oval. At EFH 6, no morphological change was observed in cells in control group; cells in cytochalasin D group were spindle with split ends on both ends; cells in colchicine group were serrated oval.
CONCLUSIONSThe physiologic strength of exogenous direct current EF can induce directional migration and alignment of dermal fibroblasts in neonatal BALB/c mice. Microfilaments and microtubules are necessary skeleton structure for cell directional migration induced by EF, while they are not necessary for cell directional arrangement induced by EF.

7.Activation of Rip1 promotes necroptosis in LNCaP-AI cells via inhibiting SHARPIN

[ ABSTRACT] AIM:To explore the role of SHARPIN in regulation of Rip1 in castration-resistant prostate cancer LNCaP-AI cells.METHODS:The LNCaP-AI cells were treated with TNF-α+Z-VAD ( an inhibitor of pan-caspase) to activate necroptosis, which were compared to the cells treated with TNF-α+Z-VAD+Nec-1 ( an inhibitor of Rip1 ) .A blank group and a TNF-α-treated group were set up as controls.The cell viability in each group was measured by MTS as-say.In addition, SHARPIN was knocked down by siRNA, and the inhibitory efficiency was evaluated by RT-qPCR.The expression of Rip1 at mRNA and protein levels after knocking down SHARPIN was determined by RT-qPCR and Western blot to explore the underlying mechanism of regulatory network of necroptosis in prostate cancer.RESULTS: Compared with blank control group and TNF-α-treated group, the viability of LNCaP-AI cells treated with TNF-α+Z-VAD decreased by 28%(P<0.05).After treated with TNF-α+Z-VAD+Nec-1, the LNCaP-AI cells showed no significant difference in the viability compared with blank control and TNF-α-treated groups.Taken together, necroptosis may be an important way of cell death in LNCaP-AI cells.Besides, the expression of Rip1 at protein level was up-regulated following the inhibition of SHARPIN using siRNA, indicating that down-regulation of SHARPIN enhanced necroptosis via activating Rip1 in
LNCaP-AI cells.CONCLUSION:Necroptosis is an important way of cell death .Inhibition of oncogenic factor SHARPIN enhances necroptosis via activating Rip1 in LNCaP-AI cells.
8.An analysis of monitoring data of iodine deficiency disorders in Shanxi Province in 2014

Objective To master the iodine nutritional status of residents and to evaluate the effect of iodine nutrition improvement on residents health after the adjustment of salt iodine concentration. Methods According to the method of population proportion sampling, 30 county-level monitoring sites were selected in 2014, a primary school was selected from each county (city, district) by the method of simple random sampling and 50 students aged 8 - 10 (half males and half females) were selected in each school, B ultrasound was used to detect thyroid volume, arsenic cerium catalytic spectrophotometry (WS/T 107-2006) was used to detect urinary iodine, direct titration was used to detect salt iodine; At the same time, 20 pregnant women were selected from each town and urinary iodine was determined. All results were compared with the results of 2011 to evaluate the effect of iodine nutrition improvement on resident's health after the adjustment of salt iodine concentration. Results A total of 1 437 edible salt samples were tested, the median of salt iodine concentration was 24.1 mg/kg. Based on the new standard (18 - 33 mg/kg), the coverage rate of iodized salt was 95.4%(1 371/1 437), the qualified rate of iodized salt was 80.3%(1 101/1 371), the consumption rate of qualified iodized salt was 76.6% (1 101/1 437). A total of 1 496 urine samples of children and 630 urine samples of pregnant women were tested, the median of urinary iodine of children and pregnant women was 224.6 and 177.1 μg/L, respectively, which were significantly lower than those of 2011 (274.6, 279.6μg/L), the differences were statistically significant (H=70.10, 153.50, all P<0.05). The proportion of counties which iodine nutrition of children and pregnant women in suitable range was 36.7% (11/30) and 56.7% (17/30), which were higher than those of 2011 [6.5%(2/31), 25.8%(8/31)], the differences were statistically significant (χ2 = 7.88, 5.00, all P < 0.05). Totally 1 552 children were examined thyroid in Shanxi Province, the rate of goiter was 4.4% (69/1 552). Conclusion The new standard of iodine concentration makes it possible to maintain a sustainable elimination of iodine deficiency disorders, and it can improve the iodine nutrition of children aged 8-10 years and pregnant women to more reasonable level.
9.Application effects of quality control circle ( QCC) in neurosurgery nursing scientific research

Objective To explore the application effects of QCC to the neurosurgery nursing scientific research. Methods We established the QCC activity team in 2013, identified the theme of "improving the ability of neurosurgery nursing scientific research" and analyzed the reasons of problems regarding the neurosurgery nursing research before the establishment of QCC; then we set targets, and formulated and implemented the corresponding measures. We compared the implementation of neurosurgery nursing research before (2012) and after the establishment of QCC. Results The total number of published article was 24 after the QCC, and it was 10 before the QCC (χ2 =11. 53, P <0. 05 ); all the team members had gained an improvement in understanding QCC and in the ability of operating QCC; the power of execution had been improved as well. Additionally, the ability of teamwork, group cohesiveness, and nursing professional diathesis, confidence, and initiative had also been improved and increased. Conclusions The implementation of QCC can improve research awareness of nursing staff members, nursing research ability and writing level of thesis, so as to improve the quality of care in our department.
10.Knockdown of SALL4 expression regulates cell proliferation and apoptosis in prostate cancer LNCaP cells

[ ABSTRACT] AIM: To investigate the SALL4 expression, proliferation and apoptosis in the LNCaP cells after transfection of SALL4 siRNA.METHODS: The expression of SALL4 at mRNA and protein levels was detected by real-time PCR and Western blotting.MTS assay, colony formation assay and flow cytometry were used to determine the prolifer-ation, colony formation ability and apoptosis of the LNCaP cells.The effect of SALL4 on the expression of Bax and Bcl-2 was analyzed by Western blotting.RESULTS:Compared with negative control group, the expression of SALL4 at mRNA and protein levels in LNCaP cells was down-regulated by transfection of SALL4 siRNA ( P<0.05 ) .The proliferation rate and colony formation ability were decreased, while apoptosis rate increased in si-SALL4 group (P<0.05).Higher expres-sion of Bax and lower expression of Bcl-2 in si-SALL4 group were observed ( P<0.05 ) .CONCLUSION:Down-regula-tion of SALL4 by siRNA not only suppresses LNCaP cell proliferation and colony formation, but also inhibits Bcl-2 expres-sion and activates Bax expression to induce apoptosis.
