Sichuan Mental Health 2025;38(4):327-332
BackgroundNon-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) behaviors are common among adolescents with depressive disorders, and school bullying is recognized as a major risk factor. Previous research has shown that self-esteem and alexithymia are closely associated with both school bullying and NSSI. However, the mediating roles of self-esteem and alexithymia in the link between school bullying and NSSI are unclear. ObjectiveTo explore the mediating roles of alexithymia and self-esteem in the relationship between school bullying and NSSI behaviors in adolescents with depressive disorders, in order to inform intervention strategies targeting NSSI in this population. MethodsA total of 335 adolescents diagnosed with depressive disorders and treated at the First Psychiatric Hospital of Harbin from July 2023 to October 2024 were enrolled. Assessments included a self-developed demographic questionnaire, Adolescent Non-suicidal Self-injury Assessment Questionnaire-Behavior (ANSAQ-B), Delaware Bullying Victimization Scale-Student (DBVS-S), Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), and 26-item Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-26). Pearson correlation analysis was used to examine the relationship among variables. Controlling for gender and age at onset of depressive symptoms, mediation analysis was performed using the “mediation” package in R 4.4.2. ResultsScores on DBVS-S and TAS-26 were positively correlated with ANSAQ-B score (r=0.408, 0.417, P<0.01), while RSES scores were negatively correlated(r=-0.300, P<0.01). Regression analysis showed that school bullying and alexithymia significantly positively predicted NSSI behaviors (B=0.212, 0.333, P<0.01), while self-esteem negatively predicted NSSI behaviors (B=-0.368, P<0.01). Alexithymia was found to mediate the relationship between school bullying and NSSI behaviors, with an indirect effect of 0.040 (95% CI: 0.018~0.069) ,account for 17.17% of the total effect. The indirect effect through self-esteem was not statistically significant (95% CI: -0.004~0.069). ConclusionExposure to school bullying and high levels of alexithymia are important predictors of NSSI behavior in adolescents with depressive disorders, and school bullying may indirectly influence NSSI behavior through alexithymia. Objective:To analyze the hepatic tissue inflammatory activity and influencing factors in HBeAg-positive patients during normal alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and indeterminate phases so as to provide a basis for evaluating the disease condition. Methods:Patients with HBeAg-positive with normal ALT and HBV DNA levels below 2 × 10 7 IU/ml from January 2017 to December 2021 were selected as the study subjects. A histopathologic liver test was performed on these patients. Age, gender, time of HBV infection, liver function, HBsAg level, HBV DNA load, genotype, portal vein inner diameter, splenic vein inner diameter, splenic thickness, and others of the patients were collected. Significant influencing factors of inflammation were analyzed in patients using logistic regression analysis, and its effectiveness was evaluated using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. Results:Of the 178 cases, there were 0 cases of inflammation in G0, 52 cases in G1, 101 cases in G2, 24 cases in G3, and one case in G4. 126 cases (70.8%) had inflammatory activity ≥ G2. Infection time ( Z=-7.138, P<0.001), γ-glutamyltransferase ( t ?=-2.940, P=0.004), aspartate aminotransferase ( t ?=-2.749, P=0.007), ALT ( t ?=-2.153, P=0.033), HBV DNA level ( t ?=-4.771, P=0.010) and portal vein inner diameter ( t ?=-4.771, P<0.001) between the ≥G2 group and < G2 group were statistically significantly different. A logistic regression analysis showed that significant inflammation in liver tissue was independently correlated with infection time [odds ratio (OR)=1.437, 95% confidence interval ( CI): 1.267-1.630; P<0.001)] and portal vein inner diameter ( OR=2.738, 95% CI: 1.641, 4.570; P<0.001). The area under the curve (AUROC), specificity, and sensitivity for infection time and portal vein inner diameter were 0.84, 0.71, 0.87, 0.72, 0.40, and 0.95, respectively. Conclusion:A considerable proportion of HBeAg-positive patients have inflammation grade ≥G2 during normal ALT and indeterminate phases, pointing to the need for antiviral therapy. Additionally, inflammatory activity has a close association with the time of infection and portal vein inner diameter.

Objective:To investigate the intervention effect and its mechanism of apocynin, an inhibitor of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) oxidase (NOX) on silicosis induced by silica (SiO 2) in rats. Methods:In October 2021, 24 SPF SD male rats were divided into control group, silicosis model group and apocynin intervention group according to random number table method, with 8 rats in each group. SiO 2 was exposed by one-time intratracheal instillation. The rats in the apocynin intervention group were intraperitoneally injected with apocynin 50 mg/kg, 3 times a week, on the second day after treatment. The rats were sacrificed 28 days later, and lung coefficients were calculated after lung tissues were weighed. Hematoxylin-eosin staining and Masson staining were used to observe the lung histopathological changes in each group, respectively. The levels of NOX, reactive oxygen species (ROS), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and malondialdehyde (MDA) in lung tissue were detected. The expressions of interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) were determined by Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The level of hydroxyproline (HYP) was detected by alkaline hydrolysate. The expressions of transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-β1), E-cadherin (E-cad) and α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) in lung tissue were detected by Western blotting. Results:Compared with the control group, the body weight of silicosis model group was decreased, the lung tissue showed obvious inflammatory infiltration and fibrosis, and the levels of lung coefficient, IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α and TGF-β1 were significantly increased ( P<0.05). Compared with the silicosis model group, the lung tissue injury in the apocynin intervention group was significantly improved, the lung coefficient, NOX, ROS, MDA, IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α and TGF-β1 levels were decreased, and the activity of GSH-Px was increased ( P<0.05). Compared with the silicosis model group, the expressions of HYP and α-SMA were decreased and the level of E-cad was increased in the apocynin intervention group ( P<0.05) . Conclusion:Apocynin may alleviate SiO 2-induced fibrosis in silicosis rats by reducing oxidative stress, the release of inflammatory factors and inhibiting the process of epithelial-mesenchymal transition.
