Acute burns and chronic wounds frequently fail to heal owing to various reasons. Most drugs currently used for wound therapy in clinical practice have notable drawbacks, making their application a substantial concern. For instance, anti-inflammatory drugs can exert multisystem toxicity, and cellular therapies are costly and difficult to retain. In recent years, natural functional proteins derived from animals and plants have gained increasing attention owing to their unique biological activities, low cost, and broad application prospects in wound therapy. Herein, we isolated a new protein (JH015Y) from amphibians and demonstrated its excellent wound repair and regeneration properties compared with those of epidermal growth factor, both in vitro and in vivo. JH015 protein increased the proliferative ability of human keratinocytes and skin fibroblasts by 47.73 and 41.40%, respectively. In vivo, the medium-dose (0.5 mg/dose) groups of JH015Y protein demonstrated accelerated wound healing from day 4, with wound healing rates 1.26, 1.27, and 1.14 times that of the blank group in acute wounds, burn wounds, and diabetic ulcer, respectively. Histological analysis of Masson-stained sections indicated that the JH015Y protein contributed to collagen deposition on the wound surface, markedly reduced inflammatory cell infiltration, and exhibited low biological toxicity. Accordingly, the JH015Y protein is a promising biotherapeutic agent for accelerated wound repair and regeneration.

This article discussed the evolution of the traditional preparation process of Pinelliae Rhizoma Fermentata. The production methods for Pinelliae Rhizoma Fermentata in Song Dynasty include cake-making of Pinelliae Rhizoma together with ginger juice and fermentation after cake-making,and the former method of cake-making was the mainstream. The process technology in Jin and Yuan Dynasties inherited from that in Song Dynasty, and the application of Pinelliae Rhizoma Fermentata had certain limitations. The medical practitioners of Ming Dynasty elucidated the mechanism of processing of Pinelliae Rhizoma Fermentata, and proposed the view of"sliced Pinelliae Rhizoma being potent while fermented Pinelliae Rhizoma being mild".In the Ming Dynasty,LI Shi-Zhen defined the cake-making process and fermentation process for Pinelliae Rhizoma, and HAN Mao's Han Shi Yi Tong(Han's Clear View of Medicine)contained five prescriptions for the processing of Pinelliae Rhizoma Fermentata, which had the epoch-making signficance in the expansion of prescriptions for the processing of Pinelliae Rhizoma Fermentata. In the Qing Dynasty,HAN Fei-Xia's ten methods for making Pinelliae Rhizoma Fermentata were summarized on the basis of the methods recorded in Han Shi Yi Tong, and at that time, the processing of Pinelliae Rhizoma Fermentata and the preparation of Massa Medicata Fermentata interacted with each other. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the local experience in the preparation of Pinelliae Rhizoma Fermentata was deeply influenced by the methods in the Qing Dynasty, and the local preparation technical standards gradually became the same. Moreover, this article also explored the issues of the importance of"Pinelliae Rhizoma"and"ingredients for fermentation",the pre-treatment of Pinelliae Rhizoma, the distinction between cake-making process and fermentation process for Pinelliae Rhizoma, the amount of flour added as well as the timing of adding, the addition of Massa Medicata Fermentata powder, the role of Alum in Pinelliae Rhizoma Fermentata and so on.

Objective:To compare the effects of high-power and conventional power atrial fibrillation ablation on intraoperative acute pulmonary vein isolation, postoperative troponin levels, and atrial fibrillation recurrence. Methods:A retrospective selection was conducted on 105 patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation admitted to the Baoding NO.1 Central Hospital from January 2017 to December 2020. According to different treatment methods, they were divided into a high-power ablation group of 52 cases and a conventional power ablation group of 53 cases. The intraoperative rate of single circle acute pulmonary vein isolation, the recovery of electrical conduction after acute pulmonary vein isolation, and the location and number of points that need to be added were compared between the two groups; At the same time, two groups were compared in terms of surgical time, ablation time, surgical radiation exposure time and radiation dose, intraoperative complications postoperative cardiac troponin levels at 12 hours, and recurrence of atrial fibrillation within 1 year after ablation. Results:The intraoperative single loop pulmonary vein isolation rate and postoperative troponin levels in the high-power atrial fibrillation ablation group were higher than those in the conventional atrial fibrillation ablation group (all P<0.05). The surgical time, ablation time, and the number of sites and points that need to be added during surgery were less than those in the conventional atrial fibrillation ablation group (all P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of intraoperative complications and postoperative atrial fibrillation recurrence between the two groups (all P>0.05). Conclusions:High power atrial fibrillation ablation has a higher single loop acute pulmonary vein isolation rate, fewer patch sites and points, shorter surgical time, and greater ablation damage compared to conventional ablation, and the clinical efficacy of the two groups is similar after surgery.

A family carrying a homozygous variant of DNAJB2 gene C.91C>T (p.His31Tyr) with distal hereditary motor neuropathy (dHMN) associated with early-onset Parkinson′s disease was reported. The patient presented with distal limb weakness and atrophy at the early stage of the disease, and developed Parkinson′s symptoms more than 10 years later. Neuroelectrophysiological examination suggested motor and sensory axonal involvement. This mutation site had not been reported and was considered to be a neogenic mutagenicity of dHMN, excluding other mutations that can cause early-onset Parkinson′s disease.

Objective To apply a COMSOL-based finite element analysis method to investigating the electric field effects produced by the human lower limb musculoskeletal system under the synergistic effects of stress field and electromagnetic field. Methods Firstly,a 3D human body model was constructed by Maxon Cinema 4D R21 software, and then imported into COMSOL 6.1 software in STL format.Secondly,an electromagnetic field intervention and stress loading model for the left lower limb of the human body was designed and constructed,in which 15 Hz quasi-pulse group current signals were used for electromagnetic field excitation and the stress field was realized by applying a vibration load with an average compressive force of about 90 N/cm2 to the left foot of the human body. Finally, the electromagnetic properties of human tissue were simulated by numerical simulation, and then the effects of stress field or elecromagnetic field or combined stress field and electromagnetic field on human bioelectric field were compared. Results Simulation results showed that the electric field intensity peaked at the leg joints under both electromagnetic and stress fields acting alone or synergistically, the bioelectric field intensity generated by the human body was related to the distance from the exogenous excitation loading location, and the electric field generated under synergistic action was equivalent to the linear superposition of the bioelectric field in the tissue induced by the electromagnetic field and the stress field acting alone. Conclusion Data supplement is provided for predicting bioelectric field changes within the musculoskeletal tissue, and theoretical foundation is laid for the development and application of multi-physics field synergistic intervention therapy for treating the disorders of the lower limb musculos-keletal system.[Chinese Medical Equipment Journal,2024,45(9):21-26]
