Hyperkalemia is one of the common ion metabolism disorders in clinical practice. Hyperkalemia is defined as serum potassium higher than 5.0 mmol/L according to the guidelines at home and abroad. Acute severe hyperkalemia can cause serious consequences, such as flaccid paralysis, fatal arrhythmia, and even cardiac arrest. The use of renin-angiotensin- aldosterone system inhibitors, β-blockers and diuretics, low-sodium and high-potassium diets, and the presence of related comorbidities increase the occurrence of hyperkalemia. Hyperkalemia risk exist in all clinical departments, but there is a lack of a standardization in the management of multi- department cooperation in hospital. Therefore, a number of domestic nephrology and cardiology department experts have discussed a management model for multi-department cooperation in hyperkalemia, formulating the management standard on hospital evaluation, early warning, diagnosis and treatment, and process. This can promote each department to more effectively participate in nosocomial hyperkalemia diagnosis and treatment, as well as the long-term management of chronic hyperkalemia, improving the quality of hyperkalemia management in hospital.

Objective Based on a novel type of cell death induced by disulfide stress, known as disulfidptosis, this study explores the role of long non-coding RNA(LncRNA)in gastric cancer and establishes a prognosis model re-lated to disulfidptosis, providing a new method for assessing the prognosis of gastric cancer treatment. Methods Transcriptomic data from gastric cancer and normal tissue samples were obtained from the public database TCGA,and disulfidptosis-related LncRNAs were selected through Pearson analysis and LASSO-Cox regression analysis.A relevant prognostic model for gastric cancer was constructed based on the above LncRNAs and validated by function-al enrichment analysis, tumour microenvironment and immune cell infiltration analysis, drug sensitivity analysis and quantitative reverse transcription PCR(RT-qPCR).Results In this study,400 disulfide death-associated LncR-NAs were identified and five of them were screened to construct a prognostic model for assessing the prognosis of gastric cancer patients. The models showed in validation that the survival of the high-risk score group was shorter than that of the low-risk score group(P<0.05).In addition, the predictive ability of the prognostic model(AUC=0.725)was better than that based only on basic characteristics such as age and gender. The expression levels of disulfide death-associated LncRNAs differed between normal and gastric cancer tissues(P<0.001).Conclusion The disulfidptosis-related LncRNA prognosis model developed in this study can effectively assess the prognosis of gastric cancer patients and the tumor microenvironment, providing potential targets and a theoretical basis for new immunotherapeutic strategies for gastric cancer.

The pursuit of cosmetic effects in post-surgical wounds has led to the development of ultra-minimally invasive techniques in surgery. Minimal invasive surgery has replaced open surgery and has become the new gold-standard for treating diseases. One such technique is the single incision triangulated umbilicus surgery (SITUS), which offers several advantages over traditional laparoscopic and other scarless surgeries, including reduced trauma, faster recovery, and better cosmetic outcomes. SITUS also has a short learning curve, aligns with conventional instrumentation operating habits, and can be used for whole abdominal surgeries. Chinese scholars have made further improvements to the SITUS technology, including expanding its applicability in intra-abdominal surgery and refining its incision closure methods to achieve superior cosmetic results. Currently, SITUS technology is experiencing rapid development in urology applications and has demonstrated satisfactory results in both domestic and international reports. This review aims to discuss the effectiveness and development of the SITUS technique in urology.

During the process of dairy farming, various factors such as physical injury and bacterial infection act upon body tissues or organs, leading to the disruption of skin or mucous tissue integ-rity and subsequent tissue injury and trauma. The healing of these injuries is a complex process that necessitates the coordinated efforts of different cells and involvement of diverse cytokines.A-mong them, the interaction between macrophages and myofibroblasts is indispensable for efficient tissue repair.Nod-like receptor protein 3(NLRP3),a pattern recognition receptor in the innate im-mune system, may play a regulatory role in modulating this intricate process. In this study, cow myofibroblasts and M1 type bone marrow-derived macrophages were cultured in vitro, followed by collection of cell culture supernatant for co-culture analysis. Both cytokine secretion levels in M1 type bone marrow-derived macrophages as well as expression patterns levels of myofibroblast growth factor protein and mRNA were detected. The regulatory mechanism underlying NLRP3 in-volvement in mediating interactions between these two cell types was investigated using NLRP3 inhibitor MCC950.The results showed that an effective method for culturing cow muscle fibroblasts in vitro was successfully established and myofibroblast conditioned medium(MFbCM)could regulate M1 macrophage secretion profiles.Moreover,M1 macrophage conditioned medium(M1?CM)was found to influence myofibroblast growth factor expression levels. Our findings sug-gest that NLRP3 plays a significant regulatory role during crosstalk between myofibroblasts and M1-type pro-inflammatory macrophages.

Purpose:
Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT) is a rare mesenchymal malignancy that occurs primarily in children and adolescents. The clinical and pathological features of IMT in adult patients are not well understood.
Materials and Methods:
We retrospectively searched for records of adult patients with IMT at Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center from 2006 to 2021. Clinicopathological data, treatments, and outcomes were collected and analyzed.
Results:
Thirty adult patients with IMT, mostly women (60.0%), were included. The median age of the patients was 38 (21-77). The most common primary site was abdominopelvic region (53.3%), followed by lungs (20.0%). Seven patients had an abdominal epithelioid inflammatory myofibroblast sarcoma (EIMS). The positivity rate of anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) was 81.5% (22/27). Sixteen patients with advanced ALK-positive disease received crizotinib, with an objective response rate (ORR) of 81.3% and a disease control rate of 87.5%. The median progression-free survival was 20.8 months. EIMS was associated with more aggressive behavior; however, the prognosis was similar to that of non-EIMS patients after treatment with an ALK inhibitor. At a median follow-up time of 30 months (95% confidence interval [CI], 13.6 to 46.4), the 5-year overall survival was 77% (95% CI, 66 to 88) in all patients.
Conclusion
Adult IMTs appeared more aggressive, with a higher incidence of recurrence and metastases, and patients with EIMS had more aggressive cases. Treatment with ALK inhibitors resulted in a high ORR and a durable response, which suggested that ALK inhibitors could be used as a first-line treatment option in adult patients with ALK-positive advanced IMT.

To evaluate the implementation of Survey of oncomelanid snails (WS/T 563—2017) in schistosomiasis-endemic foci, two schistosomiasis-endemic counties were selected from two provinces of Sichuan and Anhui. Professional staff working in province-, city-, county- and township-level disease control and prevention institutions, parasitic disease control institutions or medical institutions were recruited, and the understanding, use and implementation of Survey of oncomelanid snails (WS/T 563—2017) were investigated using questionnaires and interviews. The awareness, use, proportion of propagation and implementation and correct rate of answering questions pertaining to Survey of oncomelanid snails (WS/T 563—2017) were analyzed. A total of 270 questionnaires were allocated, and 269 were recovered, including 254 valid questionnaires. The overall awareness of Survey of oncomelanid snails (WS/T 563—2017) was 84.64% (215/254), and propagation and implementation of Survey of oncomelanid snails (WS/T 563—2017) was not performed in 23.28% (17/73) of the survey institutions following implementation of Survey of oncomelanid snails (WS/T 563—2017), with meeting training and allocation of propagation materials as the main type of propagation and implementation. Among 254 respondents, 77.16% (196/254) were familiar with the standard, 66.14% (168/254) understood the conditions for use of the standard during snail surveys, and 96.85% (246/254) had the approach for identifying snails. In addition, there were 41.73% (106/254), 50.78% (129/254) and 7.48% (19/254) of respondents that considered the operability of Survey of oncomelanid snails (WS/T 563—2017) was very good, good and general, respectively. The findings demonstrate that the issue and implementation of Survey of oncomelanid snails (WS/T 563—2017) has filled the gap for the standardization of snail control techniques, and which plays an importang guiding role in the national schistosomiasis control program.

OBJECTIVE:
To explore the coagulation deficit and genetic basis for a Chinese pedigree affected with Congenital dysfibrinogenemia (CD).
METHODS:
Peripheral venous blood samples of the proband and her family members (including 4 individuals from three generations) were subjected to routine blood test and assays of liver and kidney functions and viral hepatitis to exclude related diseases. Clauss method and DFg-PT method were used to determine the fibrinogen activity (Fg:C), and an immunoturbidimetric assay was used to determine the level of fibrinogen antigen (Fg:Ag). All of the exons (22 in total) and their flanking sequences of the FGA, FGB and FGG genes were amplified by PCR and directly sequenced. Variants in the coding regions of the three genes and transcriptional splicing sites were screened by using Mutation SurveyorTM software.
RESULTS:
The Clauss method showed that Fg:C was significantly reduced in the proband and her father, whilst her mother and son were normal. With the DFg-PT method, the proband, her parents and son were all within the normal range. The Fg:C/Fg:Ag ratio of the proband and her father was lower than 0.7, whilst her mother and son were above 0.7. No significant change in the prothrombin time, activated partial thromboplastin clotting time and thrombin time was noted. Two genetic variants were detected, which included a homozygous missense variant in the FGA gene [c.991A>G (p.Thr331Ala)], which was predicted to be benign, and a heterozygous missense variant of the γ chain of the FGG gene [c.1211C>G (p.Ser404Phe)], which is located in a conserved region and unreported in the CLINVAR/HGMD/EXAC/1000G databases and literature.
CONCLUSION
This pedigree has conformed to the autosomal dominant inheritance of CD. The c.1211C>T (p.Ser404Phe) missense variant of the γ chain of the FGG gene probably underlay the pathogenesis of CD in this pedigree. The variant was unreported previously and named as "Fibrinogen Harbin II Ser404Phe".

Objective:To investigate the influencing factors of anastomotic leakage after laparoscopic intersphincter resection (ISR) for extremely low rectal cancer and construction of nomogram prediction model. Methods:The retrospective case-control study was conducted. The clinicopathological data of 812 patients who underwent laparoscopic ISR for extremely low rectal cancer in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Naval Medical University (Shanghai Changzheng Hospital) from February 2012 to February 2022 were collected. There were 459 males and 353 females, aged (51±11)years. Observation indicators: (1) surgical situations; (2) follow-up; (3) influencing factors of postoperative anastomotic leakage; (4) construction and evaluation of nomogram prediction model for postoperative anastomotic leakage. Measurement data with normal distribution were represented as Mean± SD, and measurement data with skewed distribution were represented as M(range). Count data were described as absolute numbers. The COX proportional hazard model was used for univariate and multivariate analyses. The R software(3.5.1 version) was used to construct nomogram prediction model. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was drawn and the area under curve (AUC) was used to evaluate the efficacy of the nomogram prediction model. The Bootstrap method was used for internal verification and to calculate the average consistency index (C-index). Results:(1) Surgical situations. All 812 patients underwent laparoscopic ISR for extremely low rectal cancer, including 388 cases undergoing partial ISR, 218 cases undergoing subtotal ISR and 206 cases undergoing complete ISR. All 812 patients underwent ileal protective ostomy, and there were 306 cases with double anastomosis and 203 cases with left colic artery preserved, respectively. The operation time and volume of intraoperative blood loss of 812 patients was (179±33)minutes and (33±13)mL, respectively. (2) Follow-up. All 812 patients were followed up for (13.5±0.9)months. Of the 812 patients, there were 62 cases with postoperative anastomotic leakage and the healing time of these cases was (33±6)days. (3) Influencing factors of postoperative anastomotic leakage. Results of multivariate analysis showed that male, neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy, failure of reser-ving left colic artery were independent risk factors of anastomotic leakage after laparoscopic ISR for extremely low rectal cancer ( hazard ratio=5.98, 4.00, 16.26, 95% confidence interval as 1.66-24.12, 1.30-12.42, 3.00-90.89, P<0.05). (4) Construction and evaluation of nomogram prediction model for postoperative anastomotic leakage. According to the results of multivariate analysis, male, neoadju-vant chemoradiotherapy and failure of reserving left colic artery were used to construct the nomogram prediction model for anastomotic leakage after laparoscopic ISR for extremely low rectal cancer, and the score of these indexes in the nomogram prediction model was 50, 49, 93, respectively. The total score of these index corresponded to the incidence rate of anastomotic leakage. Results of ROC curve showed that the AUC of nomogram prediction model of anastomotic leakage after laparoscopic ISR for extremely low rectal cancer was 0.87 (95% confidence interval as 0.80-0.93, P<0.05), with sensi-tivity and specificity 0.96 and 0.60, respectively. Results of internal verification showed that the C-index of nomogram prediction model was 0.87. Conclusion:Male, neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy, failure of reserving left colic artery are independent risk factors of anastomotic leakage after laparo-scopic ISR for extremely low rectal cancer, and the nomogram prediction model based on these indexes can predict the incidence rate of postoperative anastomotic leakage.
