BackgroundDepression has become a public health concern that affects the physical and mental health of college students. acute stress response is a risk factor of depression. Exploring the relationship and mechanism between acute stress response and depression is of great significance for preventing and intervening depression in college students. ObjectiveTo examine the relationship between acute stress response and depression among college students, and to analyze the mediating role of rumination and the moderated effect of perceived social support, so as to provide references for the prevention and intervention of depression in college student . MethodsFrom March to April 2020, a cluster sampling method was employed to select 1 355 college students from three universities in Hubei, Jiangxi and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Participants were assessed with Acute Stress Disorder Scale (ASDS), Ruminative Responses Scale (RRS), Brief form of Perceived Social Support Questionnaire (F-SozU) and Patients' Health Questionnaire Depression Scale-9 item (PHQ-9). Pearson correlation analysis was adopted to examine the correlation between the scores of each scale. The mediating role of rumination between acute stress response and depression and the moderated role of perceived social support were examined respectively by using Model 4 and Model 14 in Macro Program Process 3.3. ResultsA total of 1 303 valid questionnaires were collected, yielding a valid response rate of 96.16%. The results of Pearson correlation analysis showed that ASDS score was positively correlated with RRS score and PHQ-9 score (r=0.649, 0.528, P<0.01) among college students. The mediation analysis results demonstrated that rumination played a partial mediating role between acute stress response and depression, with the mediating effect value of 0.273 (95% CI:0.222~0.328), accounting for 68.59% of the total effect. Perceived social support played a moderated role in the latter path of the mediation model (rumination → depression) (β=-0.004, 95% CI: -0.017~-0.004, P<0.01). ConclusionRumination played a partial mediating role between acute stress response and depression in college students, and perceptive social support played a moderated role between rumination and depression. OBJECTIVE:
To report the clinical characteristics and treatment analysis of 3 cases of congenital ulnar collateral flexor contracture of the forearm and take a reference for clinic.
METHODS:
A total of 3 patients with congenital ulnar collateral flexor contracture of the forearm were admitted between February 2019 and August 2021. Two patients were male and 1 was female, and their ages were 16, 20, and 16 years, respectively. The disease durations were 8, 20, and 15 years, respectively. They all presented with flexion deformity of the proximal and distal interphalangeal joints of the middle, ring, and little fingers in the neutral or extended wrist position, and the deformity worsened in the extended wrist position. The total action motion (TAM) scores of 3 patients were 1 and the gradings were poor. The Carroll's hand function evaluation scores were 48, 55, and 57, and the grip strength indexes were 72.8, 78.4, and 30.5. Preoperative CT of case 2 showed a bony protrusion of the flexor digitorum profundus tendon at the proximal end of the ulna; and MRI of case 3 showed that the ulnar flexor digitorum profundus presented as a uniform cord. After diagnosis, all patients were treated with operation to release the denatured tendon, and functional exercise was started early after operation.
RESULTS:
The incisions of 3 patients healed by first intention. Three patients were followed up for 12, 35, and 12 months, respectively. The hand function and the movement range of the joints significantly improved, but the grip strength did not significantly improve. At last follow-up, TAM scores were 3, 4, and 4, respectively, among which 2 cases were excellent and 1 case was good. Carroll's hand function evaluation scores were 95, 90, and 94, and the grip strength indexes were 73.5, 81.3, and 34.2, respectively.
CONCLUSION
Congenital ulnar collateral flexor contracture is a rare clinical disease that should be distinguished from ischemic muscle contracture. The location of the contracture should be identified and appropriate surgical timing should be selected for surgical release. Active postoperative rehabilitation and functional exercise can achieve good hand function.

Background::To perform anatomical anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR), tunnels should be placed relatively higher in the femoral anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) footprint based on the findings of direct and indirect femoral insertion. But the clinical results of higher femoral tunnels (HFT) in double-bundle ACLR (DB-ACLR) remain unclear. The purpose was to investigate the clinical results of HFT and lower femoral tunnels (LFT) in DB-ACLR.Methods::From September 2014 to February 2016, 83 patients who underwent DB-ACLR and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were divided into HFT-ACLR (group 1, n = 37) and LFT-ACLR (group 2, n = 46) according to the position of femoral tunnels. Preoperatively and at the final follow-up, clinical scores were evaluated with International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC), Tegner activity, and Lysholm score. The stability of the knee was evaluated with KT-2000, Lachman test, and pivot-shift test. Cartilage degeneration grades of the International Cartilage Repair Society (ICRS) were evaluated on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Graft tension, continuity, and synovialization were evaluated by second-look arthroscopy. Return-to-sports was assessed at the final follow-up. Results::Significantly better improvement were found for KT-2000, Lachman test, and pivot-shift test postoperatively in group 1 ( P >0.05). Posterolateral bundles (PL) showed significantly better results in second-look arthroscopy regarding graft tension, continuity, and synovialization ( P <0.05), but not in anteromedial bundles in group 1. At the final follow-up, cartilage worsening was observed in groups 1 and 2, but it did not reach a stastistically significant difference ( P >0.05). No statistically significant differences were found in IKDC subjective score, Tegner activity, and Lysholm score between the two groups. Higher return-to-sports rate was found in group 1 with 86.8% (32/37) vs. 65.2% (30/46) in group 2 ( P = 0.027). Conclusion::The HFT-ACLR group showed better stability results, better PL, and higher return-to-sports rate compared to the LFT-ACLR group.

Immunotherapy has become a mainstream treatment for cancer. However, the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment hinders the antigen extraction and presentation by immune cells, resulting in insufficient infiltration and activation of cytotoxic T cells. Moreover, patient variability and the systemic distribution of immunotherapeutic agents can cause toxic side effects, such as excessive activ-ation or immunosuppression. The extratumoral toxicity and challenges in penetrating the tumor microenvironment hinder the effectiveness of immunotherapy on solid tumors.Recently, researchers have developed immunotherapy platforms using polymers, nucleic acids, and cells capable of logical processing based on signal inputs. These platforms can target tumors and perform logical processing based on various in-puts from the tumor microenvironment or external signals. This review briefly introduces logic-gated platforms designed using synthetic nanocarriers, nucleic acids, and chimeric antigen receptor T-cells(CAR-T)and discusses research progress in immunotherapy, aiming to provide foresight by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of each platform.

Traumatic supraorbital fissure syndrome (TSOFS) is a symptom complex caused by nerve entrapment in the supraorbital fissure after skull base trauma. If the compressed cranial nerve in the supraorbital fissure is not decompressed surgically, ptosis, diplopia and eye movement disorder may exist for a long time and seriously affect the patients′ quality of life. Since its overall incidence is not high, it is not familiarized with the majority of neurosurgeons and some TSOFS may be complicated with skull base vascular injury. If the supraorbital fissure surgery is performed without treatment of vascular injury, it may cause massive hemorrhage, and disability and even life-threatening in severe cases. At present, there is no consensus or guideline on the diagnosis and treatment of TSOFS that can be referred to both domestically and internationally. To improve the understanding of TSOFS among clinical physicians and establish standardized diagnosis and treatment plans, the Skull Base Trauma Group of the Neurorepair Professional Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Neurotrauma Group of the Neurosurgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Neurotrauma Group of the Traumatology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and Editorial Committee of Chinese Journal of Trauma organized relevant experts to formulate Chinese expert consensus on the diagnosis and treatment of traumatic supraorbital fissure syndrome ( version 2024) based on evidence of evidence-based medicine and clinical experience of diagnosis and treatment. This consensus puts forward 12 recommendations on the diagnosis, classification, treatment, efficacy evaluation and follow-up of TSOFS, aiming to provide references for neurosurgeons from hospitals of all levels to standardize the diagnosis and treatment of TSOFS.

Objective:To investigate the protective effect of racanisodamine (654-2) on lung epithelial cell injury induced by X-ray in mice and unravel the underlying mechanism. Methods:Mouse alveolar epithelial cells MLE-12 were used to establish radiation-induced lung injury (RILI) model in vitro and divided into 4 groups as follows: control (no irradiation), radiation (16 Gy radiation), treatment 1 (16 Gy radiation + 2 μmol/L 654-2), treatment 2 (16 Gy radiation + 10 μmol/L 654-2), and inhibitor (16 Gy radiation + 10 μmol/L 654-2 + 2 μmol/L ML385), respectively. Cells were sampled at different time points after radiation. Cell senescence was detected with senescence-associated β-galactosidase (SA-β-Gal) staining. Cell colony-forming ability was detected to observe the recovery capability of cells after treatment. The expression levels of p21, p16, phosphorylated histone H2AX(γH2AX), nuclear factor erythroid-2 related factor 2 (Nrf2), Nrf2 Ser40 site phosphorylation (p-Nrf2), p62, heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) and NAD(P)H quinone oxidoreductase 1 (NQO1) proteins were measured by Western blot. Cell apoptosis and the production of intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) were determined by flow cytometry. The expression levels of glutathione (GSH) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) were detected according to the manufectuer instructions. The expression levels of glutamate-cysteine ligase catalytic subunit (GCLC) and glutamate-cysteine ligase modifier subunit (GCLM) mRNA were determined by real time reverse transcription PCR. Measurement data were expressed as Mean ±SD. Comparison between two groups was conducted by independent sample t-test, and comparison among multiple groups was performed by one-way ANOVA. Results:Compared with the radiation group, the proportion of cells with positive staining of SA-β-Gal was significantly lower and cell senescence were alleviated in the treatment 1 and 2 groups (all P<0.001). Compared with the radiation group, the expression level of γH2AX protein was significantly down-regulated ( P=0.037), cell apoptosis rate was significantly decreased ( P=0.026), the proliferation capacity of MLE-12 was enhanced ( P=0.004), GSH ( P=0.002) and SOD ( P<0.001) activity was enhanced and ROS production was declined ( P=0.001) in the treatment 2 group. The expression levels of Nrf2 and p-Nrf2 in total protein were up-regulated over the time of 654-2 intervention. Meanwhile, the expression levels of antioxidant proteins of NQO1 and HO-1 were up-regulated and that of GCLC and GCLM mRNA was also up-regulated. There were no significant differences in the number of cells with positive staining of SA-β-Gal ( P=0.145) and ROS production ( P=0.317) between the inhibitor and radiation groups after supplement of ML385, small-molecule inhibitor of Nrf2. Conclusion:654-2 can activate the Nrf2 pathway, enhance cell antioxidant capacity and inhibit cell senescence, thereby playing a protective role on radiation- induced lung injury.
