OBJECTIVE:This paper collects relevant literature on blood flow restriction training combined with resistance training, and analyzes the different effects of blood flow restriction training combined with resistance training on athletes'muscle-related indexes and specialized abilities in accordance with the paradigm of systematic evaluation and Meta-analysis,aiming to provide data support for athletes to utilize blood flow restriction training in their training practices. METHODS:Chinese and foreign databases(CNKI,WanFang,PubMed,Web of Science,SPORTDiscus)were searched to collect randomized controlled trials on the effects of blood flow restriction training combined with resistance training on limb circumference, muscle mass, muscle strength, and specialized ability of college athletes from January 1st,2000 to October 12th,2023.At least two researchers evaluated the quality of the included literature using the Cochrane Collaboration risk of bias assessment tools and criteria.Heterogeneity tests, data merging, subgroup analyses, forest plotting, and sensitivity analyses were performed using RevMan 5.4,and funnel plots with publication bias evaluation and sensitivity analyses were performed. The evaluation indexes were limb circumference, muscle thickness, muscle strength and specialized ability, and subgroup analyses were performed for different specialized athletic abilities. RESULTS:(1)A total of 18 randomized controlled trials with 403 subjects were included, and according to the Cochrane Collaboration's risk of bias assessment tool, the quality of literature in the included literature was grade A in 16 articles and grade B in 2 articles.(2)Comparing the effects of blood flow restriction training combined with resistance training and resistance training, there was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of limb circumference[standardized mean difference(SMD)=0.03,95%confidence interval:-0.16-0.21,P=0.78],and a significant difference between the two groups in terms of muscle thickness(SMD=0.14,95%CI:0.01-0.27,P=0.03)and muscle strength(SMD=0.37,95%CI:0.14-0.60,P=0.001).(3)Subgroup analyses of the indicators of specialized capacity indicated that there was high heterogeneity in the analyzed results of distance metrics(I2=73%)and time metrics(I2=55%),which was analyzed as a possible reason due to the differences in testing methods and assessment of metrics'significance in the studies;there was no heterogeneity(I2=0%)in the analyzed results of power metrics;blood flow restriction training combined with resistance training had a significant effect on distance metrics(P<0.01).(4)The results of the combined effect showed the effect of blood flow restriction training combined with resistance training vs.resistance training for specialized ability(P=0.41),suggesting that there is no significant effect of different training methods on specialized ability. CONCLUSION:Both blood flow restriction training combined with resistance training and resistance training can promote muscle thickness, muscle strength and specialized ability in college athletes.Meanwhile, blood flow restriction training combined with resistance training has a more significant effect on muscle thickness, muscle strength and some specialized abilities compared with resistance training. Therefore, blood flow restriction training can be scientifically and rationally integrated into specialized training,so as to achieve a better training effect by integrating the differentiated physiological stimuli to the muscles. However, due to the small number of included studies and other possible limitations, more high-quality,multi-sport type and sex randomized trials need to be included in the future to confirm this.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the differentially expressed microRNAs(miRNAs) in human embryonic lung fibroblast MRC-5 cells stimulated by transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1) using microarray chip, and screen for key genes and signaling pathways of fibroblast trans-differentiation. METHODS: The miRNA expression gene chip dataset GSE43992 on TGF-β1 stimulated MRC-5 cells were downloaded from high-throughput Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO) database of National Center for Biotechnology Information of the United States. The R language Limma package was used to screen the differentially expressed miRNAs. Corresponding target genes were predicted by miRWalk database performed by Gene Ontology(GO) functional enrichment analysis and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) signaling pathway enrichment analysis. The protein-protein interaction(PPI) network was constructed by the search tool for the Retrieval of Interacting Genes database. RESULTS: A total of five differentially expressed miRNAs were identified, including four up-regulated miRNAs and one down-regulated miRNA; and 42 corresponding differentially expressed target genes were predicted. GO analysis indicated that the target genes were significantly enriched in collagen catabolic process, extracellular matrix organization, membrane organization, collagen fibril organization, and cellular response to amino acid stimulus. The results of KEGG pathway analysis showed that the signaling pathways corresponding to miRNAs and target genes were mainly concentrated in 18 signaling pathways, that were mainly related to the age-ethnic signaling pathways and protein digestion and absorption miRNAs in tumors and diabetic complications. The core genes transfected into the myofibroblasts by the three fibroblasts screened by the PPI network were threonine kinase 1, estrogen receptor 1 and β-catenin. CONCLUSION: Five differentially expressed miRNAs, 42 target genes, 18 signaling pathways, and 3 core genes related to TGF-β1-induced MRC-5 cell trans-differentiation were screened. It can provide new reference for the treatment and research of many diseases including pneumoconiosis and pulmonary fibrosis.

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the differentially expressed genes(DEGs), and screen the key genes and signaling pathways in human lung epithelial A549 cells exposed to silica dust using bioinformatics and gene chip. METHODS: The GSE30215 gene expression profiles of A549 cells exposed to silica dust were downloaded from Public Gene Expression Omnibus database developed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information. The DEGs were screened by using GEO2 R analysis tools. Then, the DEGs were imported into the biological information annotation database for Gene Ontology(GO) functional enrichment analysis and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) pathway enrichment analysis. The protein-protein interaction(PPI) network was constructed with the Search Tool for the Retrieval of Interacting Genes database and visualized using the software Cytoscape. Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(PCR) was used to verify the expression of key DEGs in A549 cells. RESULTS: Of the 52 DEGs screened, 45 were up-regulated and 7 were down-regulated. The results of GO analysis showed that the DEGs were mainly distributed in extracellular region, associated with regulating biological functions such as chemotaxis, transcription factor activity and so on. KEGG pathway enrichment analysis showed that these DEGs were mainly involved in the tumor necrosis factor(TNF) signaling pathway and nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain like receptor signaling pathway. The top 10 key DEGs screened by PPI network were C-C motif chemokine ligand(CCL)2, prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase 2, interleukin 6, C-X-C motif chemokine ligand(CXCL) 8, CXCL2, jun proto-oncogene, colony stimulating factor 2(CSF2), CCL20, TNF-α induced protein 3(TNFAIP3), and CXCL5. Real-time quantitative PCR results revealed that the changes of key genes were in consistent with the screening results, except the CCL2. CONCLUSION: We found 10 key DEGs that are related to the toxicity caused by exposure to silica dust in A549 cells by bioinformatics. Among them, CSF2, CCL20 and TNFAIP3 may provide new research direction for the mechanisms of the development of multiple pulmonary fibrotic diseases including pneumoconiosis.

OBJECTIVETo explore the expression of KIF18A gene protein in gastric cancer tissues and its association with the prognosis of patients.
METHODSTwenty fresh paired gastric cancer specimens and adjacent normal mucosa(at least 5 cm from the edge of tumor) from 20 gastric cancer patients undergoing operation in Department of General Surgery at the First Affiliated Hosptial of Anhui Medical University between March 2015 and July 2015 were collected. Real-time PCR was used to examine KIF18A mRNA expression in above specimens. Meanwhile, paraffin embedded cancer tissue samples from 129 gastric cancer patients undergoing operation and 23 samples of randomly selected normal gastric tissue(adjacent non-cancer tissue) were collected to establish the microarray. Immunohistochemistry method was applied to detect the KIF18A protein expression in the microarray after confirmation by pathologists. Association of KIF18A expression with clinicopathological features in gastric cancer patients was evaluated. Cox proportional hazard model was used to identify prognostic risk factors.
RESULTSAmong 20 fresh paired gastric cancer specimens, mRNA expression of KIF18A in 16 specimens was obviously lower than that in adjacent normal tissues. The positive rate of KIF18A protein expression in gastric cancer tissues was significantly lower than that in normal gastric tissues in microarray[45.0%(58/129) vs. 69.6%(16/23), P=0.041]. KIF18A protein expression was significantly associated with invasion depth (P=0.008) and TNM staging (P=0.032). The median overall survival of all the 129 patients was 44.0(95% CI: 39.78-49.24) months. The three-year survival rates of patients with high and low KIF18A expression were 67.2% and 36.6% respectively(P=0.020). Cox regression analysis showed that KIF18A expression was an independent protective factor of the prognosis of gastric cancer patients (HR=0.570, 95% CI:0.335 to 0.970).
CONCLUSIONSKIF18A expression is down-regulated in gastric cancer tissue, which may play a critical role in gastric cancer carcinogenesis. Lower expression of KIF18A is associated with poor prognosis of gastric cancer patients. KIF18A may be a potential prognostic marker of gastric cancer.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2010;35(1):22-26
OBJECTIVETo study the absorption characteristics of nitrogen (N) , phosphorus (P) , and potassium (K) of Pinellia ternate from Sichuan under the cultivated condition.
METHODThe samples of P. ternate S-29 and S-33 from Sichuan were regularly collected randomly, the contents of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium of each part (aerial and underground parts) were determined, and their distribution and accumulation characters of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium were also studied.
RESULTThe absorption rate of aerial and underground parts of P. ternate were different in nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium at different growing stages. Among them, the potassium uptake was the highest, while the phosphorus uptake was the lowest. Totally, the uptakes of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium of P. ternate from Sichuan during "sprout tumble" stage were comparatively higher than that not at "sprout tumble" stage. A significant correlation was observed between the phosphorus and potassium uptake of the aerial and underground parts, respectively (P < 0.05). And there was also significant positive correlation between the nitrogen and phosphorus uptake at underground parts (P < 0.05). During the growth stage of P. ternate, for producing 100 kg air-dried P. ternate, 5.02-5.64 kg N, 2.44-2.56 kg P205, 11.62-13.49 kg K20 were needed to be absorbed.
CONCLUSIONP. ternate from Sichuan should be given enough base fertilizer in field cultivation, and then be supplied with phosphorus and potassium by combining foliar spray with field application during the middle ten days of June and last ten days of August. The ratios of potassium should be properly improved. There was promoting effect in the phosphorus and nitrogen assimilations of the underground parts of P. ternate from Sichuan.

OBJECTIVETo study the optimum conditions of simulated drought stress, and screen the indexes of drought resistance and comprehensively assess the drought resistance of the Angelica dahurica resources during seedling stage.
METHODInvestigations were carried out on the changes of height, root length, root-shoot ration, contents of soluble sugar, proline and malondialdehyde under polyethylene glycol (PEG-6000)-simulated drought stress. A comprehensive evaluation on the drought resistance of different (varietal) species of A. dahurica during seedling stage was applied by using the method of subordinate function. And the drought resistance indexes were selected out by applying the method of grey correlative degree analysis.
RESULTDrought stress of 9 days with 20% PEG was the optimum condition for the simulation of drought stress. The results showed that the drought resistant capability decreased in the order as follows, A. dahurica from Sichuan province, A. dahurica from Henan province, A. dahurica from Hebei province and A. dahurica from Zhejiang province. And the order of correlative degree of drought resistance and indexes was: soluble sugar > root length > proline > root-shoot ration > total content of chlorophyll > chlorophyll b > chlorophyll a > height > malondialdehyde.
CONCLUSIONOsmotic adjustment substance and the indexes related to the root have more influence on the drought resistance of A. dahurica during seedling stage. A. dahurica from Sichuan province shows the highest drought resistance during seedling stage.
