Objective To investigate the effect of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids(ω-3 PUFA)on chronic atrophic gastritis of rats.Methods A rat model of chronic atrophic gastritis was established by synthetic method.The rats successfully modeled were randomly divided into model group,experimental-L group,experimental-M group,experimental-H group,positive control group.Normal rats were selected as the normal group.There were 9 rats in each group.Experimental-L,-M,-H groups were given 3,6 and 12 mL·kg-1ω-3 PUFA daily,respectively.The positive control group was given 0.24 g·kg-1 vitacoenzyme suspension daily.Normal group and model group were given the same amount of 0.9％NaCl.Each group was given the drug for 12 weeks.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was used to detect serum interleukin-1 β(IL-1β)level.In situ end labeling staining(TUNEL)was used to detecte the apoptosis of gastric mucosa.Relevant kits were used to detect the level of superoxide dismutase(SOD)and malonaldehyde(MDA).Results IL-1 β levels in normal group,model group,experimental-L,-M,-H groups and positive control group were(58.96±8.23),(140.02±19.65),(109.81±14.35),(98.72±12.64),(85.31±11.42)and(77.64±10.23)pg·mL-1,respectively;apoptotic indices were(7.89±1.36)％,(77.12±10.05)％,(42.33±6.87)％,(31.05±5.29)％,(22.76±4.16)％and(16.89±3.05)％,respectively;SOD levels were(398.71±58.24),(170.25±29.81),(249.81±34.26),(268.04±34.11),(322.15±46.36)and(276.42±29.81)U·mg-1,respectively;MDA levels were(3.55±0.87),(11.02±2.15),(8.02±1.50),(6.92±1.23),(5.98±1.27)and(6.67±1.32)U·mg-1,respectively.Compared with normal group,the above indexes were significantly different in model group(all P＜0.01);compared with model group,the above indexes were significantly different in experimental-L,experimental-M,experimental-H groups and positive control group(all P＜0.01).Conclusionω-3 PUFA can ameliorate chronic atrophic gastritis of rats,and the mechanism may be related to the anti-inflammatory,anti-apoptosis and anti-oxidative stress effects of to-3 PUFA.

Objective:To investigate the effect of rhein on aquaporin 4 （AQP4） and brain edema after cerebral ischemia and the role of microglia-mediated inflammation in this process. Method:The modified thread embolization method was selected to establish the cerebral ischemia model of the right middle cerebral artery embolism （MCAO） in rats. The rats were divided into sham operation group， model group， minocycline group， and high， medium and low-dose rhein groups （3.46，1.73，0.865 mg·kg^-1）. The neurobehavioral function was measured by a modified neurobehavioral score. Wet and dry weight methods were used to measure the changes of water content in brain tissue of rats with cerebral ischemic injury. Western blot was used to detect the expressions of interferon-γ （IFN-γ） and interleukin-2 （IL-2） in the peripheral ischemic area of rats in each group. Immunofluorescence double labeling method was used to detect the expressions and localization of microglia fine markers Iba-1 and AQP4. Result:Compared with the sham operation group， neurological function score and water content on the side of brain tissue injury of the model group were significantly increased （P<0.05）. Compared with the model group， the neurological function score and the water content of the brain tissue of each drug group were reduced （P<0.05， P<0.01）. Compared with sham operation group， the protein expressions of IFN-γ and IL-2 in the model group increased significantly （P<0.05）. Compared with the model group， the protein expressions of IFN-γ and IL-2 in the peripheral area of cerebral ischemia of each drug group were significantly improved （P<0.05， P<0.01）. Immunofluorescence double staining results showed that compared with the sham operation group， the model group showed significant increase in the fluorescence expression of AQP4 protein on activated microglia， while each drug group could reduce the fluorescence expression of AQP4 protein on activated microglia， different levels of activated microglia markers Iba-1 and AQP4 were co-localized in the peripheral area of cerebral ischemia in each group. Conclusion:Rhein could reduce the degree of brain edema caused by cerebral ischemic injury， and its mechanism may be related to the inhibition of microglia-mediated neuroinflammation and the down-regulation of AQP4 expression.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of Qiangjing Tablets (QJT) on sperm quality and the MAPK signaling pathway in the SD rat model of asthenospermia (AS).

METHODSA total of 100 male SD rats were randomly divided into five groups of equal number, blank control, AS model control, high-dose QJT, medium-dose QJT, and low-dose QJT. All the rats were intragastrically administered ORN at 200 mg/kg/d for establishment of the AS model except those in the blank control group, which were given 1% CMC sodium solution at 1 ml/100 g by gavage. Meanwhile the animals of the high-, medium-, and low-dose QJT groups were gavaged with QJT at 6700, 3300 and 1700 mg/kg/d, respectively, qd 6 days a week for 20 days. Then the testis issue and the apoptosis of the testicular cells were observed under the electron microscope, the expression of vimentin in the testis was determined with the immunohistochemical SP method, that of ERK1/2 detected by Western blot, and the concentration of TGF-β1 in the semen measured by ELISA.

RESULTSThe AS model controls showed round nuclei of spermatocytes, homogeneously distributed chromatins, broken or lost mitochondria, and expanded rough endoplasmic reticulum in the testis tissue. In comparison, the rats of the high-, medium-, and low-dose QJT groups exhibited round nuclei of spermatocytes, homogeneously distributed chromatins, and well-structured mitochondria, rough endoplasmic reticulum and ribosome, which were all similar those of the blank controls. Compared with the blank controls, the AS model rats manifested significantly increased expressions of ERK1/2 (1.00 ± 0.00 vs 1.26 ± 0.10, P<0.01) and vimentin (0.16 ± 0.01 vs 0.17 ± 0.01, P<0.01) and apoptosis rate of cells in the testis tissue (［9.20 ± 3.07］ vs ［42.20 ± 9.17］ %, P<0.01), but decreased level of TGF-β1 in the semen (［627.67 ± 26.07］ vs ［566.73 ± 68.44］ ng/ml, P<0.05). In comparison with the model controls, the rats of the high- and medium- -dose QJT groups presented remarkably down-regulated expressions of ERK1/2 (1.26 ± 0.10 vs 1.14 ± 0.08, P<0.01; 1.26 ± 0.10 vs 1.18 ± 0.05, P<0.05) and vimentin (0.17 ± 0.01 vs 0.16 ± 0.01, P<0.01; 0.17 ± 0.01 vs 0.17 ± 0.09, P<0.05) and decreased rate of cell apoptosis (［42.20 ± 9.17］ vs ［21.60 ± 5.94］ %, P<0.01; ［42.20 ± 9.17］ vs ［33.95 ± 6.39］ %, P<0.05). The concentration of TGF-β1 in the semen was markedly lower in the high-dose QJT than in the AS model control group (［621.78 ± 30.80］ vs ［566.73 ± 68.44］ ng/ml, P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONSQiangjing Tablets could improve semen quality in asthenospermia rats by acting against oxidative stress.

Iron-doped titanium dioxide nanosheets was prepared by hydrothermal method using tetrabutyl titanate (C16H36O4Ti) and iron trifluoride (FeF3) and modified on ITO electrode.ITO/Fe : TiO2/CdS photoelectrochemical sensor was fabricated by successive ionic layer absorption and reaction(SILAR) method for determination of copper ion.The band gap of electode material was narrowed by iron doped TiO2 nanosheets,which made its absorption red-shifted and its response range of light was magnified.Based on the sensitization effect of CdS,the absorption and utilization of visible light of sensor was significantly enhanced and the photoelectric signal was amplified via reducing the recombination of electrons and holes.The sensor displayed excellent analytical performance for detection of copper ion with linear range of 0.2-4.0 μmol/L and 4.0-80.0 μmol/L and with the detection limit of 85 nmol/L.The sensor was used to detect copper ion in tap water,drinking water and Yongjiang river water with recoveries ranging from 94% to 111%.

BACKGROUNDPatients on hemodialysis have a high-mortality risk. This study analyzed factors associated with death in patients on maintenance hemodialysis (MHD). While some studies used baseline data of MHD patients, this study used the most recent data obtained from patients just prior to either a primary endpoint or the end of the study period to find the characteristics of patients preceding death.

METHODSParticipants were selected from 16 blood purification centers in China from January 2012 to December 2014. Patients' data were collected retrospectively. Based on survival status, the participants were divided into two groups: survival group and the death group. Logistic regression analysis was performed to determine factors associated with all-cause mortality.

RESULTSIn total, 4104 patients (57.58% male, median age 59 years) were included. Compared with the survival group, the death group had more men and more patients with diabetic nephropathy (DN) and hypertensive nephropathy. The patients preceding death also had lower levels of diastolic blood pressure, hemoglobin, serum albumin, serum calcium, serum phosphate, Kt/V, and higher age. Multivariate analysis revealed that male sex (odd ratio [OR]: 1.437, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.094-1.886), age (OR: 1.046, 95% CI: 1.036-1.057), and presence of DN (OR: 1.837, 95% CI: 1.322-2.552) were the risk factors associated with mortality. High serum calcium (OR: 0.585, 95% CI: 0.346-0.989), hemoglobin (OR: 0.974, 95% CI: 0.967-0.981), albumin (OR: 0.939, 95% CI: 0.915-0.963) levels, and dialysis with noncuffed catheter (OR: 0.165, 95% CI: 0.070-0.386) were protective factors based on a multivariate analysis.

CONCLUSIONSHemodialysis patients preceding death had lower hemoglobin, albumin, and serum calcium levels. Multivariate analysis showed that male sex, age, DN, low hemoglobin, low albumin, and low serum calcium were associated with death in hemodialysis patients.

Adverse reactions like weight gain and lipid metabolism disorders are often observed in the treatment of atypical antipsychotic drugs,which have shown great individual differences,but the mechanism is still uncertain.Research on pharmacogenomics indicate that gene polymorphism may play an important role.The drugs could increase food intake by acting on some related central receptors,or effect lipid metabolism in the adipose cell and hepatocyte.In this review,genes and polymorphisms related to lipid metabolic adverse drug reactions of atypical antipsychotic drugs were analyzed in these two aspects,so as to provide references for individualized medication and research.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate and analyze the mechanism of Pizhen for the treatment of patients with scapular muscle fasciitis.

METHODSOne hundred and sixteen patients were divided into two groups according to random number table method, 58 cases in the treatment group and 58 cases in the control group. After treatment, 109 patients were followed up, and 7 patients lost follow-up (2 cases in the treatment group and 5 patients in the control group). In the treatment group, there were 15 males and 41 females, with a mean age of (28.02 +/- 4.85) years; the course of disease ranged from 0.25 to 3 years; and the patients were treated by Pizhen once a week,and 2 weeks were one treatment course. In the control group, there were 19 males and 34 females, with a mean age of (27.23 +/- 4.54) years old; the course of disease ranged from 0.25 to 1 year; and the patients were treated by acupuncture massage instrument, 20 minutes at a time,once a day for 2 weeks. Soft tissue displacement and banana area were tested by a soft tissue tension tester, pressure value was measured by pressure measuring instrument, and VAS was recorded by pain visual analog scale record.

RESULTSThere were significant differences in tissue displacement, banana area, pressure value and VAS between two groups before and after treatment. The tissue displacement and pressure value in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group,while banana area and VAS were lower than those in the control group. In the treatment group, 30 patients healed, 13 patients got marked improvement, 12 good and 1 poor;while 16 patients healed, 19 patients got marked improvement,11 good and 7 poor in the control group. The therapeutic effects in the treatment group was better than that in the control group.

CONCLUSIONPizhen is an effective method to treat pain in patients with scapular muscle fasciitis by relaxing tendon of soft tissue around pain point of scapular and relaxing compress and stimulation of nerves.

Objective To investigate the correlations of hepatitis B virus markers and hepatitis B virus-DNA vectors in blood between women in perinatal period and cord blood,and to assess the risk of HBV infections status in pregnant women to intrauterine fetal infective.Methods We selected 612 pregnant women who decided to delivery in hospital,in compliance with the principles of informed consent.According the difference of hepatitis virus serological markers existing in pregnant women,samples were divided into six groups.We used enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay to detect hepatitis virus serological markers,existing in serum of mother and cord blood.Real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR was supplied to test HBV-DNA load levels in these two kinds of biological specimen.Results In group A,hepatitis B virus " big 3 positives " or 1,3 positive 149 lying-in woman examples,two positive rates of HBV-DNA about pregnant women and cord blood are 99.33％ and 32.21％ ; in group B,positive rates of HBV-DNA in two kinds of specimen are 20.00％ and 3.08％ ; in group C and D,two positive rates are and the average contents of HBV-DNA,the results as mentioned in each group respectively are 65.52％,12.07％ and 13.56％,1.69％ respectively.Control group is group E,86 lying-in woman examples and the detecting results orderly are 1.16％,0.There was a significant difference in positive rate of HBV-DNA in cord blood between group A and group B subgroups (x2 =54.09,P ＜ 0.01).There is significant positive correlation between HBV-DNA vectors existing in mother's serum and the positive rate of HBV-DNA in cord blood.Hepatitis B virus the mother blood " big 3 positives " is the umbilicus blood HBV-DNA 6345 times that carries quantity in average.Conclusion ① During the perinatal period,along with the HBV-DNA load levels arising of pregnant women,the risk of HBV infections status in pregnant women to intrauterine fetal infective increased.②Suggeste to develop the compound pattern human hepatitis B immunoglobulin:Increase the composition of efficient price HBeAb-can be combinated HBeAg,HBsAb can be combinated HBsAg,strengthen the hinderance and break hepatitis B virus disseminate.③Our government should strengthen the propaganda of hepatitis B virus education.Establish and perfect to surround and produce the system of health protection.
