Chinese Medical Ethics 2025;38(7):861-866
Practice-oriented education is an important link in cultivating qualified builders and reliable successors of socialism, and it is particularly important for cultivating high-quality talents in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Practice-oriented education is a vital part in improving college students’ ideological and political literacy, an important measure for TCM colleges and universities to promote the inheritance and innovation of TCM culture, and a significant pathway to cultivate high-quality TCM talents. The prominent issues of practice-oriented education in TCM colleges and universities are that the small ideological and political classroom is not closely integrated with the large classroom of society, the characteristics of TCM culture are not highlighted, and the current situation of practice-based construction does not match the needs of talent cultivation. Based on systematic thinking, the construction of a collaborative education of TCM culture and red culture should start from the following four aspects: cultural integration-cultivating ideological and political education and ideological and political theory courses of TCM culture; medical and educational collaboration-leveraging the synergistic educational effect of clinical practice; practice reinforcement-integrating the small classroom of ideological and political education into the big classroom of society; and “double innovation” promotion-creating an educational environment for innovation and entrepreneurship of TCM.

By analyzing information such as the number of publications, authors, institutions and keywords in the literature on the integration of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)culture into ideological and political education in the past 10 years,it was found that the overall number of publications showed an increasing trend. As the main research fronts,TCM colleges and universities had not yet formed teams in cooperation with other universities. The research hotspots were relatively concentrated, but the research horizons were not broad enough. It is suggested that in the future, policy should be taken as the guide to build a cross-regional interdisciplinary cooperation system, horizontally and vertically extend research subjects, innovate and construct diversified teaching models, continue to deeply explore and organically integrate ideological and political education elements, continuously improve the evaluation system of educational functions, and further enhance the timeliness of integrating traditional Chinese medicine culture into ideological and political education. So as to make greater contributions to cultivating talents in the new era and promoting the inheritance and innovation of TCM culture.

Objective To investigate the current situation and health effects of indoor microbial pollution in Xi'an, to analyze the purification effect of air purifiers on indoor microbial pollution, and to provide reference for improving the indoor environment. Methods Through stratified random sampling, 20 families from rural areas and 20 families from upwind and downwind urban areas respectively were selected from Xi'an. Data was collected by questionnaire surveys and on-site environmental sampling. Non-parametric analysis and correlation analysis were used for statistical analysis. Results Overall, the standard-exceeding rate of total count of bacteria was 5.00%. The medians of the total count of bacteria and fungi were 312.50 cfu/m3 and 260.00 cfu/m3, respectively. In terms of health effects, the correlation between rhinitis and cold with total bacterial count was statistically significant (P<0.05), with the correlation coefficients of 0.182 and 0.223, respectively. Purification effect of air purifiers on microbial pollution was statistically significant (P<0.05). After opening for 2 hours, the total numbers of bacteria and fungi decreased significantly. Conclusion The occurrence risk of colds and rhinitis is increased by indoor microbial pollution. Air purifiers have a certain effect on decreasing the total number of bacteria and fungi. It is recommended to use air purifiers with high CADR of particulate matter, double-layer filter and sterilization and dehumidification function, and replace the filters regularly to reduce indoor microbiological contamination.

Objective To investigate the targeting of transforming growth factor β1(TGF-β1)expression by Ran-binding protein 9(RANBP9)and its effect on colorectal cancer Colo320 cell apoptosis. Methods Gene expression levels of RANBP9 were analyzed in 625 colon cancer tissues and 20 normal colon tissues in The Cancer Genome Atlas database. The relationship between RANBP9 expression and survival time of patients with colon cancer was analyzed using KMPLOT.The expression of TGF-β1 in normal colon tissues and colon cancer tissues was analyzed using the human protein immunohistochemistry database and the relationship between TGF-β1 expression and the survival of patients with colon cancer was analyzed using the UALCAN database. The relationship between RANBP9 and TGF-β1 was analyzed by dual luciferase experiments.Colo320 cells were transfected with pcDNA3.1-GFP-RANBP9 and control pcDNA3.1-GFP-RANBP9-NC plasmids, respectively, and normal control cells were established without transfection. The cells were cultured and the growth viability of each group of cells was detected by the iazolyl blue tetrazolium bromide method, apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry, the mitochondrial membrane potential was detected by JC-1 staining, and RANBP9 and TGF-β1 protein expression were detected by Western blot. Results RANBP9 expression was significantly reduced in colon cancer tissues.Compared with patients with low RANBP9 expression, patients with high RANBP9 expression had a higher survival curve and significantly higher expression of TGF-β1 in colon cancer tissue.Compared with patients with high TGF-β1 expression, patients with low TGF-β1 expression had a significantly higher survival curve(P<0.05).RANBP9 targeted the expression of TGF-β1 in colon cancer.Compared with the normal group, cell growth, mitochondrial membrane potential, and TGF-β1 expression were all significantly down-regulated and the apoptosis rate and RANBP9 expression were significantly increased in the experiment group(P<0.05).Conclusions RANBP9 can target the expression of TGF-β1,promote the growth of Colo320 colon cancer cells, decrease the mitochondrial membrane potential, and induce apoptosis.

Conclusion:DHA can reduce neuronal apoptosis, inhibit the activation of p-JNK and improve neurological function of SAH model rats.

Chinese Medical Ethics 2023;36(2):227-232
The foundation of the university lies in the cultivation of virtue and people. The construction of the ideological and political work system in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) colleges and universities embodies the Marxist on the theory of all-sided development of human beings, the concept and practical requirements of "three-wide education", and the special laws of the ideological and political work in TCM colleges and universities. It is the realistic need to carry out the strategy of cultivating good quality, to innovate and develop the system of ideological and political work, and to improve the quality of TCM personnel training. TCM Colleges and universities should dig deeply into the ideological and political elements of TCM resources, integrate "virtue establishment and people cultivation" into the whole process of talent training, actively explore new ideas, new ways and new methods of constructing the ideological and political work system of TCM colleges and universities, and strive to cultivate high-quality TCM talents who shoulder the task of national rejuvenation.

Chinese Medical Ethics 2023;36(6):665-669
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) colleges and universities are important positions for inheriting and innovating the TCM culture. Exploring the innovation of teaching modes of ideological and political courses in TCM colleges and universities is a hot topic in current researches on education and teaching reform. There are some problems in the characteristic construction of ideological and political courses in TCM colleges and universities, such as insufficient effective integration of TCM culture, incomplete integrated design, and lack of supervision and evaluation system. In practical exploration, the "11432" teaching mode of ideological and political course based on the cultural characteristics of TCM has been formed. It is guided by "two major goals" and "three requirements", and organically integrates the TCM culture into the teaching of ideological and political course according to the principle of gradual progress. It takes the "Four Adherences" as its practice practical focus, and strives to create a "student-centered" classroom teaching mode. What’s more, it focuses on promoting the organic integration of TCM culture and ideological and political courses from the "five dimensions" in accordance with the fundamental task of "fostering virtue through education" and the requirements for talent training in TCM colleges and universities.
