Objective: To investigate the changing trends for associations of anxiety and depressive symptoms with smartphone addiction among middle school students, so as to provide a scientific basis for preventing smartphone addiction in middle school students. Methods: From 2022 to 2023, a method of combining convenient sampling with cluster sampling was used to select 8 923 middle school students from 27 junior high schools and 3 senior high schools in a district of Shenzhen City between September 2022 (baseline, T1) and September 2023 (follow up, T2). The Smartphone Addiction Scale-Short Version (SAS-SV), Patients Health Questionnaire-9 Item (PHQ-9), and Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item Scale (GAD-7) were administered to assess smartphone addiction, anxiety and depressive symptoms. Mixed effects models were used to analyze the association of anxiety and depressive symptoms with smartphone addiction among middle school students. Results: From September 2022 to September 2023, the reported prevalence of smartphone addiction increased from 24.22% to 25.25% ( χ 2=45.71); and smartphone addiction scores [ 24.00 (16.00, 32.00),25.00(16.00, 33.00)], anxiety symptom scores [2.00(0.00, 7.00),3.00(0.00, 7.00)] and depressive symptom scores[3.00(0.00, 8.00),5.00(0.00, 9.00)] all significantly increased ( Z =-17.43, -42.38, -41.57) (all P <0.05). There were statistically significant difference in the distribution of anxiety and depression symptom levels among middle school students in 2022 and 2023 ( χ 2=85.15, 106.85, both P <0.05). After adjusting for covariates such as age, gender and family background, mixed effects models revealed dose response associations of anxiety and depressive symptoms with smartphone addiction among middle school students:mild anxiety symptom( OR =3.22), moderate to severe anxiety symptom ( OR =5.36), mild depressive symptom ( OR =3.32) and moderate to severe depressive symptom ( OR =6.13) were significantly associated with higher risks of smartphone addiction (all P <0.05). Interaction effect analysis found that co existing anxiety and depressive symptoms synergistically increased addiction risk by 5.60 times ( OR =5.60) compared to the asymptomatic group, with 32% of the combined risk attributable to their interaction ( S=1.64, AP =0.32)(both P < 0.05 ). Conclusions Anxiety and depressive symptoms are significantly associated with smartphone addiction, exhibiting a synergistic effect. Attention should be paid to emotional issues and smartphone addiction among middle school students.

Objective: To explore the relationship between school sports environment and physical activity levels of middle school students, so as to provide theoretical and empirical support for optimizing school sports environment and enhance adolescent physical activity. Methods: Using multi-stage random cluster sampling, from September to December 2023, 1 329 junior and senior high school students from Xuancheng City of Anhui Province, Lianyungang City of Jiangsu Province, Wuhan City of Hubei Province, Qiqihar City and Suihua City of Heilongjiang Province, and Shenzhen City of Guangdong Province were selected. The International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short Form (IPAQ-SF) assessed students physical activity levels, and the questionnaire on the characteristics of school sports environment was developed to evaluate the factors of school sports environment. Multivariate ordered Logistic regression was performed to analyze the correlation between school sports environment factors and physical activity levels, and the analytic hierarchy process determined the weight of key influencing factors. Results: The results showed that weekly vigorous physical activity time was [60 (25, 90)] minutes, moderate physical activity time was [60 (30, 90)] minutes, light physical activity time was [105 (40, 200)] minutes, and sedentary behavior time was [ 3 300 (2 100, 4 500)] minutes, only 10.53% of the students met World Health Organization physical activity recommendations, and 89.69% of the students averaged >8 h daily sedentary time. Multivariate ordered Logistic regression showed that adequate sports equipment significantly promoted physical activity across all intensities and reduced sedentary time ( OR = 4.97, 11.54, 4.03, 0.11); diverse sports activities improved vigorous and moderate physical activity while reducing sedentary time ( OR =4.20, 14.06, 0.17); and peer encouragement was associated with increased low-intensity physical activities and decreased sedentary time ( OR =10.40, 0.15)( P <0.05). The analytic hierarchy process weighting analysis identified the top three influential factors related to physical activity among middle school students: sufficient sports equipment, varied physical education activities, frequent peer encouragement, the influence weight accounts for 23.55% , 14.18% and 11.77% of the total, respectively. Conclusion Key school sports environmental factors for adolescent physical activity level include ensuring adequate sports equipment and class availability, diversifying activity content, fostering peer support, and cultivating an active sports culture and a comprehensive approach encourage students participation in extracurricular physical activities.

Objective: To investigate the prevalence and influencing factors of menopausal syndrome among postmenopausal women in Pan'an County, Zhejiang Province, so as to provide the basis for guiding the health management of postmenopausal women. Methods: From May 2023 to April 2024, the postmenopausal women aged 40 to 69 years in Pan'an County were selected using the random cluster sampling method. Demographic information, lifestyle and prevalence of gynecological diseases were collected through questionnaire surveys. The prevalence of menopausal syndrome was assessed by modified Kupperman Score Scale. Factors affecting menopausal syndrome were analyzed by a multivariable logistic regression model. Results: A total of 816 postmenopausal women were surveyed, with an mean age of (57.63±2.92) years and a mean natural menopause age of (49.85±2.13) years. There were 574 cases with menopausal syndrome, with a prevalence of 70.34%. Flashes and sweating, insomnia and irritability were common symptoms, accounting for 62.87%, 47.43% and 41.18%, respectively. Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that monthly personal income of ≤5 000 yuan (<3 000 yuan, OR=3.124, 95%CI: 1.829-5.335; 3 000-5 000 yuan, OR=2.399, 95%CI: 1.370-4.201) and having gynecological diseases (OR=1.970, 95%CI: 1.292-3.004) were associated with a higher risk of menopausal syndrome, while average (OR=0.141, 95%CI: 0.072-0.276) or sufficient sleep quality (OR=0.095, 95%CI: 0.049-0.185) were associated with a lower risk of menopausal syndrome. Conclusion The prevalence of menopausal syndrome among postmenopausal women in Pan'an County is relatively high, and is mainly influenced by personal economic status, sleep quality and the presence of gynecological diseases.

It can regulate bone metabolism by mediating signaling pathways such as Wnt/β-catenin，Toll-like receptor 4/nuclear factor-κB and osteoprotegerin/nuclear factor-κB receptor activating factor ligand， and play a role in bone protection. It can inhibit pulmonary fibrosis by inhibiting the expression of transforming growth factor β1/ Smad2/3 signaling pathway，tumor necrosis factor-α，interleukin-1，interleukin-6，matrix metalloproteinase-9 and other inflammatory cytokines in lung tissue，and inhibiting the expression of collagen and fibronectin. Its efficacy and safety have been confirmed in the clinical application of rheumatoid arthritis and primary Sjogren syndrome and included in the diagnosis and treatment of the disease. It has also shown good efficacy in the clinical application of other connective tissue diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus and ankylosing spondylitis，and no obvious safety risks have been found.

Objective To investigate the correlation between Yes-associated protein(YAP)nuclear expression and tumor size with prognosis of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer(EOC)and to study the role of YAP in EOC.Methods 120 patients with EOC were selected as the experimental group,including 38 patients with early stage(Ⅰ+Ⅱ)EOC and 8 2 patients with advanced stage(Ⅲ+Ⅳ)EOC.3 0 normal ovarian tissues obtained from patients with uterine leiomyoma were enrolled as the control group.Immunohistochemical(IHC)assay was em-ployed to determine YAP expression and sub-location.The relationship between YAP expression and the pathologi-cal parameters of the 120 patients with EOC was analyzed,so as to the prognosis of these patients.EOC cells(C13K and OV2008)were cultured with varying initial cell volumes.Ki67 expression and cell proliferation were tested by immunofluorescence and cloning assay respectively.YAP expression at mRNA and protein levels were de-tected by q-PCR and Western blot respectively when the cell conference of EOC cells reached to low(60％)and high(90％)cell density.Results The YAP nuclear expression was significantly higher in the EOC group com-pared to the control group(P＜0.05).The average diameter of stage Ⅰ+Ⅱ EOC was larger than that of stage Ⅲ+Ⅳ EOC(P＜0.01).The high nuclear expression of YAP was positively associated with pathological grade,clinical stage and the level of Ca125＞1 000 IU/ml,while negatively correlated with tumor size(all P＜0.05).Survival analyses showed that smaller tumor size(＜10 cm)and higher YAP nuclear expression were negatively as-sociated with the 3-year overall survival rate of EOC patients(P＜0.01).C13K and OV2008 cells cultured in the low density group exhibited a high number of clone formation,high Ki67 and YAP expression(P＜0.01).The down-regulation of YAP expression could decrease the cell viability of EOC cells in the low-and high-density groups(P＜0.05).Conclusion Higher level of YAP nuclear expression and smaller tumour size are inversely associated with the clinical prognosis of patients with EOC.Inhibiting YAP nuclear expression leads to a decrease in the prolif-eration capacity of EOC cells.

Objective To explore the application value of the nomogram based on dual-energy CT in preoperative evaluation of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER-2)status in patient with breast cancer.Methods A total of 269 patients with pathologically confirmed breast cancer were retrospectively collected and randomly divided into a training cohort(n=189)and a validation cohort(n=80)at a ratio of 7︰3.The dual-energy CT parameters and clinical features of all patients were measured and collected.Varia-bles with significant difference in univariate analysis were included in the multivariate logistic analysis to obtain independent risk fac-tors related to HER-2 status,with establishing a nomogram model.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves were plotted to evaluate the predictive performance of the nomogram.Results There was a significant difference in axillary lymph node enlargement between the two groups(P<0.05).The venous phase iodine concentration(IC)and normalized iodine concentration(NIC)in the HER-2 positive group were significantly higher than those in the HER-2 negative group(P<0.05).Axillary lymph node enlargement,venous phase IC,and venous phase NIC were the independent risk factors for predicting HER-2 status in breast cancer.The nomogram con-structed from the above features exhibited good predictive performance,with area under the curve(AUC)of 0.856 and 0.834 in the training and validation cohorts,respectively.Conclusion The nomogram based on dual-energy CT has a high predictive value for HER-2 status in breast cancer patients.

Tuberous sclerosis complex(TSC)is a rare genetic disease that can lead to benign dysplasia in multiple organs such as the skin, brain, eyes, oral cavity, heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, and bones. Its main symptoms include epilepsy, intellectual disabilities, skin depigmentation, and facial angiofibromas, whilst incidence is approximately 1 in 10 000 to 1 in 6000 newborns. This case presents a middle-aged woman who initially manifested with epilepsy and nodular depigmentation. Later, she developed a lower abdominal mass, elevated creatinine, and severe anemia. Based on clinical features and whole exome sequencing, the primary diagnosis was confirmed as TSC. Laboratory and imaging examinations revealed that the lower abdominal mass originated from the uterus. CT-guided biopsy pathology and surgical pathology suggested a combination of leiomyoma and abscess. With the involvement of multiple organs and various complications beyond the main diagnosis, the diagnostic and therapeutic process for this patient highlights the importance of rigorous clinical thinking and multidisciplinary collaboration in the diagnosis and treatment of rare and challenging diseases.

Objective To explore the effect of miRNA-222-3p in endothelial progenitor cell-derived exosomes(EPCs-Exo)on skin wound healing in diabetic mice.Methods Endothelial progenitor cell(EPCs)derived from C57BL/6 mouse bone marrow were identified by fluorescence staining.Subsequently,EPCs-Exo isolated from the media of EPCs were identified,and high-throughput sequencing of EPCs-Exo miRNA was completed.The skin injury model of diabetic mice was established.According to different groups,the wounds were treated with externally ap-plied phosphate buffer solution(PBS)and EPCs-Exo;Subcutaneous injection of PBS,agomiR-222-3p,and an-tagomiR-222-3p at the edge of the wound was performed continuously for 14 days,and the wound healing rate was observed.Meanwhile,immunofluorescence methods were used to investigate the changes in the expression levels of ROS,CD31,and VEGF in the wound margin tissue before and after treatment.Results EPCs-Exo significantly ac-celerated skin wound healing in diabetic mice,reduced the level of ROS,and increased the expression level of VEGF and CD31 in the wound margin tissue(P＜0.05).High-throughput sequencing showed that miRNA-222-3p was highly expressed in EPCs-Exo.Local subcutaneous injection of miRNA-222-3p into wound margin tissue signifi-cantly promoted the skin wound healing of diabetic mice,reduced the level of ROS,and increased the expression level of VEGF and CD31 in the wound margin tissue(P＜0.05).Conclusion MiRNA-222-3p promotes wound healing in diabetic mice and plays an important role in EPCs-Exo promoting wound healing.

ObjectiveAlveolar macrophages (AMs) are critical for maintaining the homeostasis of pulmonary microenvironment. They process surfactants to ensure alveoli patency, and also serve as the first line of immune defense against pathogen invasion. Available studies have shown that monocyte-derived AMs continuously release pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines, recruiting other immune cells to the damaged area during pulmonary fibrosis. These monocyte-derived AMs maintains and amplifies inflammation, playing a negative role in pulmonary fibrosis progression. Current researches have predominantly focused on the gene expression levels of AMs in pulmonary fibrosis microenvironment, with less emphasis on the function and regulation of proteins. This study aims to investigate the differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) of AMs under normal physiological conditions and after pulmonary fibrosis, in order to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the role of AMs in the progression of pulmonary fibrosis. MethodsFirstly, the construction of bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis mouse models was evaluated through using measurements such as body mass, lung coefficient, lungwet-to-dry mass ratio, H&E staining and Masson staining. Subsequently, AMs from both the saline controls and the pulmonary fibrosis models (2.5×10⁵ cells per sample) were collected using FACS sorting, and protein expression profiles of these cells were obtained through label-free proteomics approach. The quality of the proteomic data was assessed by comparing our saline control proteomic data with public proteomic data of physiological AMs. Thirdly, DEPs analysis between the saline controls and the bleomycin groups was carried out using R package Prostar. Functional enrichment analyses of significantly upregulated DEPs were performed using R package Clusterprofiler for GO and KEGG pathways. Finally, the STRING database was used to explore the protein-protein interaction networks related to phagocytosis regulation, inflammatory response regulation, andI-κB/NF-κB signaling pathway. The expression levels of Tlr2 and Pycard were detected respectively by FACS and western blotting. ResultsCompared to the saline controls, mice in the bleomycin groups exhibited a lower average body mass, extensive infiltration of inflammatory cells, and deposition of collagen in the lungs. This indicates that bleomycin successfully induced pulmonary fibrosis in mouse models. The proteomic data of AMs obtained from these models was of high quality and fulfilled the research requirements. A comprehensive analysis showed that 778 proteins were upregulated in pulmonary fibrosis groups compared with control groups. Moreover, the signal pathways enriched in up-regulated DEPs were related to the I‑κB/NF‑κB pathway, inflammatory response regulation, phagocytosis regulation, TGF-β signaling, and HIF-1 pathway, indicating that AMs in pulmonary fibrosis microenvironment exerted pro-inflammatory and pro-fibrotic functions. Protein-protein interaction network analysis of the DEPs suggested that the interactions between Tlr2 and Pycard were control nodes for the pro-inflammatory phenotype of AMs, thereby contributing to pulmonary fibrosis progression. Further validation by FACS and Western blotting respectively confirmed that the expression levels of Tlr2 and Pycard in AMs were significantly increased after pulmonary fibrosis. ConclusionThis study investigates the changes in the protein expression profile of AMs in the pulmonary fibrosis microenvironment. The results show that AMs notably enhanced the activity of various pathways associated with inflammation and fibrosis, suggesting that the interaction between Tlr2 and Pycard serves as a key control node for the highly pro-inflammatory behavior of AMs.

Objective:To study the current status of longitudinal extrauterine growth restriction (EUGR) in extremely preterm infants (EPIs) and to develop a prediction model based on clinical data from multiple NICUs.Methods:From January 2017 to December 2018, EPIs admitted to 32 NICUs in North China were retrospectively studied. Their general conditions, nutritional support, complications during hospitalization and weight changes were reviewed. Weight loss between birth and discharge > 1SD was defined as longitudinal EUGR. The EPIs were assigned into longitudinal EUGR group and non-EUGR group and their nutritional support and weight changes were compared. The EPIs were randomly assigned into the training dataset and the validation dataset with a ratio of 7∶3. Univariate Cox regression analysis and multiple regression analysis were used in the training dataset to select the independent predictive factors. The best-fitting Nomogram model predicting longitudinal EUGR was established based on Akaike Information Criterion. The model was evaluated for discrimination efficacy, calibration and clinical decision curve analysis.Results:A total of 436 EPIs were included in this study, with a mean gestational age of (26.9±0.9) weeks and a birth weight of (989±171) g. The incidence of longitudinal EUGR was 82.3%(359/436). Seven variables (birth weight Z-score, weight loss, weight growth velocity, the proportion of breast milk ≥75% within 3 d before discharge, invasive mechanical ventilation ≥7 d, maternal antenatal corticosteroids use and bronchopulmonary dysplasia) were selected to establish the prediction model. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of the training dataset and the validation dataset were 0.870 (95% CI 0.820-0.920) and 0.879 (95% CI 0.815-0.942), suggesting good discrimination efficacy. The calibration curve indicated a good fit of the model ( P>0.05). The decision curve analysis showed positive net benefits at all thresholds. Conclusions:Currently, EPIs have a high incidence of longitudinal EUGR. The prediction model is helpful for early identification and intervention for EPIs with higher risks of longitudinal EUGR. It is necessary to expand the sample size and conduct prospective studies to optimize and validate the prediction model in the future.
