OBJECTIVE:High-intensity interval training(HIIT)and moderate-intensity continuous training(MICT)can improve the quality of life of patients with clinical chronic diseases, but their application effects and regulatory factors in adults with insufficient physical activity are still unclear. This study aimed to explore the application effects and regulatory factors of HIIT and MICT on the quality of life of adults with insufficient physical activity. METHODS:A systematic literature search was conducted in databases including Web of Science Core Collection,Medline(EBSCO Host),PubMed,and Cochrane Library. The search time limit was from the establishment of each database to September 2023.The types of included literature were randomized controlled trials, and the research subjects were physically inactive adults.RevMan 5.4 software and the GRADE evidence evaluation framework were used to assess the quality of the included literature.Main effects pooling of random effects models was performed using R Studio(version 4.2.0).Subgroup analyses, regression analyses, and sensitivity analyzes were used to explore the sources of study heterogeneity and moderators. RESULTS:(1)Thirty-two randomized controlled trials of moderate to high quality were included, involving 2 083 physically inactive adults(HIIT group n=474;MICT group n=708;control group n=901).(2)Compared with the non-training control group,HIIT[Hedges'g=0.61;95%confidence interval(CI):0.40-0.83;I2=45%]and MICT(Hedges'g=0.66;95%CI:0.25-1.08;I2=89%)significantly improved the quality of life.Direct comparison studies of HIIT and MICT found no significant differences in the quality of life(Hedges'g=-0.01;95%CI:-0.23-0.21;I2=0%).(3)Subgroup analysis showed that HIIT and MICT were more effective in improving the physical components of the quality of life(HIIT:Hedges'g=0.82 vs.0.75;MICT:Hedges'g=0.74 vs.0.55),while cycling had a better trend in improving overall quality of life(HIIT:Hedges'g=0.74 vs.0.36;MICT:Hedges'g=1.08 vs.0.52).(4)Additionally,regression analysis did not identify any significant moderators(P>0.05 for all factors).(5)None of the above meta-analyses found publication bias(Egger test P>0.05). CONCLUSION:(1)Moderate to high level evidence shows that both HIIT and MICT can improve the quality of life of adults with insufficient physical activity, and the intervention effects between the two are similar. Therefore, when choosing between these two options,it is necessary to comprehensively consider factors such as time economy, scheduling flexibility, and application feasibility to formulate a personalized exercise plan.(2)This study recommends that when applying HIIT,a low-volume protocol(for example,5 groups each time,1 minute each),3 times/week,and ride at 80%-95%of the maximum heart rate is used to achieve the theoretical best improvement effect.(3)Although MICT improves the quality of life, there is insufficient evidence that increasing exercise duration brings additional benefits. Therefore, this study recommends that when MICT is conducted,it should be carried out more than three times a week, with each training duration controlled between 25 and 60 minutes, and cycling at 50%-75%of the maximum heart rate,in order to achieve the theoretically expected best improvement effect.

Objective To organize a nationwide interlaboratory comparison for measurement of gross α and gross β radioactivity in water, and improve the laboratory analysis of gross α and gross β radioactivity in water. Methods A unified comparison protocol was developed by the organizers. The groundwater with high natural radioactivity was used as water sample and distributed randomly to the participating laboratories. The participating laboratories used routine analytical methods to measure the samples and provided information such as analytical results, original records, and test reports. The results were evaluated using z-score. Results A total of 76 laboratories participated in the comparison, all employing the evaporation concentration-α/β counting method. Among them, 69 laboratories achieved |z| ≤ 2 for both gross α and gross β radioactivity measurements, and 32 laboratories achieved |z| ≤ 0.50 for both gross α and gross β radioactivity measurements. There were 69 laboratories with qualified results and 30 laboratories with excellent results, yielding a qualified rate of 90.8% and an excellent rate of 39.5%. Seven laboratories showed unqualified results and the unqualified rate was 9.2%. Conclusion Most laboratories have the ability to analyze gross α and gross β radioactivity in water. The main reasons for the deviation in comparison results are calibration efficiency, errors in the total residue mass caused by improper water sample processing operations. By analyzing the main technical problems existed in unqualified laboratories, their ability for measurement of gross α and gross β radioactivity in water has been improved.

		                        			Methods:
A convenience sampling method was employed to conduct an electronic questionnaire survey among 459 children aged 3-6 years and their parents from five kindergartens in Urumqi in November 2023. The survey included a general information questionnaire, the Children s Eating Behavior Questionnaire (CEBQ), the Parenting Sense of Competence Scale (PSOC), and the Parenting Stress Index-Short Form (PSI-SF). The Mann-Whitney U-test was used for twogroup comparisons, and the Kruskal-Wallis H-test was applied for multi-group comparisons. Spearman correlation analysis was conducted to examine the relationships between children s picky eating levels and parenting selfefficacy as well as parenting stress.

		                        			Results:
The picky eating score of preschool children was 10.00 (4.00), and the parenting self-efficacy score was 58.00 (12.00), both indicating a moderate level. The parenting stress score was 75.00 (16.00), reflecting a moderately low level. Spearman correlation analysis showed that children s picky eating levels were negatively correlated with the total score of parenting self-efficacy ( r =-0.28) and positively correlated with the total score of parenting stress( r =0.25)( P <0.01).

		                        			Conclusions
Picky eating levels of preschool children are closely associated with parenting self-efficacy and parenting stress. Picky eating behaviors in children can be reduced by implementing various effective measures to enhance parenting self-efficacy and alleviate parenting stress.

Traditional four examinations of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) are based on the symptoms and signs of patients, which are the advantages of TCM but also have shortcomings. Chronic kidney disease has the characteristics of insidiousness, long-term, deficiency and variability during its onset, which are difficult to be intervened in time based on only symptoms, therefore it is necessary to extend the application of the four examinations in the diagnosis and treatment process of chronic kidney disease. Based on the background of the continuous development of TCM syndrome differentiation techniques, this article proposed the extension and application strategies of the traditional four examinations in chronic kidney disease, including the incorporation of microscopic syndrome differentiation to identify the causes of kidney disease and prevent symptom deterioration; the utilization of accurate examination information enhanced by artificial intelligence for controlling development of existing disease; the integration of disease differentiation and syndrome differentiation to summarize clinical rules towards using constant to measure variation; and the establishment of a kidney disease database for the storage of four examinations information to prevent recurrence after recovery. The four above extension and application strategies can be used to achieve the long-term management and treatment effects of timely and early diagnosis, dynamic observation of the condition, accurate application of intervention, and strengthened prognosis assessment in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic kidney disease, and expand the advantages of TCM in the prevention and treatment of chronic kidney disease.

Objective To analyze the clinical features of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients with heart failure (HF) in Nanjing and explore the influencing factors. Methods A total of 773 COPD inpatients were selected from January 2021 to January 2024 in Nanjing Combined Hospital of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Nanjing Qixia District Hospital, Nanjing Lishui District People's Hospital, Nanjing Pukou District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Nanjing First Hospital., and were divided into 2 groups according to the presence or absence of combined HF. The general data and medical records of the two groups were compared, the clinical characteristics of COPD patients with HF were summarized, and the influencing factors of COPD patients with HF were analyzed by multivariate logistic regression. Results Among the 242 patients (31.31%) with COPD had HF, chronic paroxysmal dyspnea was the most common first symptom, 169 patients (69.83%) had left heart failure, 63 patients (30.17%) were diagnosed as right heart failure or global heart failure , 17 patients (7.02%) had myocardial infarction. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the risk of HF was 1.678 times and 1.691times higher in COPD groups ≥ 50 years old and male COPD groups than in < 50 years old and female groups, respectively; the risk of HF was 1.491 times higher in COPD groups engaged in physical work than in physical work groups; the risk of HF was 1.447 times and 1.580 times higher in COPD groups with hypertension and coronary heart disease than in COPD groups without hypertension and coronary heart disease, respectively; the risk of HF was 1.859 times higher in COPD groups smoking>400 vial/year than in COPD groups≤400 vial/ year; the risk of HF was 1.757 times higher in COPD groups with acute exacerbation frequency≥2 times/year than in COPD groups<2 times/year; the above differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Attention should be paid to elderly, male and heavy physical work group of COPD patients. Active treatment of hypertension and coronary heart disease, effective tobacco control and reduction of the frequency of acute exacerbation are effective ways to reduce the risk of HF in COPD patients in Nanjing.

Diabetes has long been considered a risk factor in implant therapy and impaired wound healing in soft and hard oral tissues. Magnesium has been proved to promote bone healing under normal conditions. Here, we elucidate the mechanism by which Mg2+ promotes angiogenesis and osseointegration in diabetic status. We generated a diabetic mice model and demonstrated the alveolar bone healing was compromised, with significantly decreased angiogenesis. We then developed Mg-coating implants with hydrothermal synthesis. These implants successfully improved the vascularization and osseointegration in diabetic status. Mechanically, Mg2+ promoted the degradation of Kelch-like ECH-associated protein 1 (Keap1) and the nucleation of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) by up-regulating the expression of sestrin 2 (SESN2) in endothelial cells, thus reducing the elevated levels of oxidative stress in mitochondria and relieving endothelial cell dysfunction under hyperglycemia. Altogether, our data suggested that Mg2+ promoted angiogenesis and osseointegration in diabetic mice by regulating endothelial mitochondrial metabolism.

Platelets have long been recognized as key players in hemostasis and thrombosis; however, there is growing evidence that they are also involved in cancer. Preclinical and clinical studies have shown that platelets can promote tumorigenesis and metastasis through various crosstalks between platelets and cancer cells. Platelets play an active role in all stages of tumorigenesis, including tumor growth, tumor cell extravasation, and metastasis. In addition, thrombocytosis in cancer patients is associated with poor patient survival. Platelets are also well-placed to coordinate local and distant tumor-host interactions due to the a- bundance of microparticles and exosomes. Therefore, antitumor drugs targeting platelets have great development and application prospects. The following will review the research progress of anti-tumor drugs targeting platelets.
