Chinese Journal of School Health 2025;46(3):353-357
Objective:
To understand the impact of left behind experience on the mental health of secondary vocational school students, so as to provide theoretical basis for the psychological health education of secondary vocational school students.
Methods:
From September to December in 2019, a total of 3 401 students from Duyun, Guiding and Pingtang County were selected by multi stage cluster random sampling method. Self designed questionnaire and Symptom Check List-90(SCL-90) were used to investigate mental health status. A total of 1 415 left behind students and 1 415 non left behind students were matched by using propensity score matching (PSM). Wilcoxon test and Logistic regression analysis were conducted.
Results:
Before the matching of propensity score, there were statistically significant differences in the distribution of family structure, mother s educational level, family residence, family harmony and children s past health among the students with or without left behind experience ( χ 2=28.17, 52.40, 96.31, 29.75 , 19.10, P <0.05). After the matching, there were no statistically significant differences in the distribution of the above variables among the students with or without left behind experience ( χ 2=0.02-4.32, P >0.05). Before the matching of propensity scores, there were significant differences in the scores of 10 dimensions of SCL-90, including somatization (1.67,1.58), interpersonal sensitivity (2.00,1.89), anxiety (1.90,1.70), obsessive compulsive symptoms (2.20, 2.10), depression (2.00, 1.85), hostility (1.83, 1.67), terror (1.85, 1.71), paranoia (1.83, 1.67), psychotic (1.70, 1.60) and other (1.85, 1.71) dimensions among secondary vocational school students with or without left behind experience ( Z=-5.15 to -2.84, P <0.05). After propensity score matching, there were significant differences in scores remained only in three factors for interpersonal sensitivity [(2.00(1.56,2.67),2.00(1.44,2.56)], paranoia [1.83(1.33,2.50),1.83(1.33,2.33)] and psychoticism [1.70(1.30,2.30),1.70(1.20,2.20)] in SCL- 90 among secondary vocational students with or without left behind experience ( Z=-2.45, -2.12, -2.23, P <0.05).
Conclusion
The impact of left behind experience on the mental health of vocational school students is mainly reflected in interpersonal sensitivity, paranoia, and psychoticism, which should be identified as key areas of psychological education for secondary vocational school students.

Journal of Modern Urology 2025;30(6):497-503
Objective: To explore the clinical features, treatment and prognosis of emphysematous pyelonephritis (EPN), so as to enhance the clinical awareness of this disease. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of one EPN patient at The Second Affiliated Hospital, Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, and a literature review was performed on articles published in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure and PubMed databases from Jan.1, 2015 to Dec.31, 2024. Results: The patient, a 62-year-old male with a 5 years' history of type 2 diabetes, was admitted due to left flank pain for 4 days, with a temperature of 39.4 ℃.Laboratory tests indicated significantly elevated inflammatory markers, decreased platelet count, and abnormal coagulation function.Preoperative blood and urine cultures showed positivity for Escherichia coli.Computed tomography (CT) revealed complete erosion of the left kidney, with gas in the left ureter and surrounding effusion, as well as multiple free gas in the abdominal cavity, bilateral ureteral stones, right renal lower calyx stones. After a multidisciplinary consultation, he underwent emergency phase Ⅰ left pyeloplasty and perirenal drainage with ureteral stenting. After discharge, the patient received maintenance hemodialysis once every two days in the outpatient clinic. One week after-discharge, the patient was readmitted due to polypnea.Following symptomatic management, vital signs stabilized.Approximately 2 months after the first-stage surgery, ureteroscopic stone extraction was successfully performed. One month after the stone extraction procedure, a follow-up CT showed normalization of the left kidney, renal pelvis and calyces, leading to phase Ⅱ laparoscopic left nephrectomy via the abdominal approach, with postoperative pathology indicating renal necrosis.Among 89 EPN patients reported in 35 articles, the median age was 58(24-92) years old;there were 59(66.3%) females and 30(33.7%) males;fever was the most common clinical symptom (60.7%);73(82.0%) had diabetes, 12 (13.5%) had urinary tract obstruction;55 (61.8%) were infected with Escherichia coli, and 7 (7.9%) were infected with Klebsiella pneumoniae; 13 died due to ineffective treatmen. Conclusion: EPN presents acutely and progresses rapidly, often leading to misdiagnosis due to the lack of specific early symptoms.Abdominal CT is the preferred imaging modality for rapid diagnosis, and proactive interdisciplinary intervention can improve survival rates, reduce the need for nephrectomy, and enhance prognosis.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2024;28(3):464-471
BACKGROUND:Tissue flossing is a new injury prevention tool and auxiliary exercise training strategy.Tissue flossing can increase joint range of motion, improve athletic performance, and relieve pain, and is increasingly widely used in the field of sports and rehabilitation. OBJECTIVE:To review the mechanism of tissue flossing and its application in sports and rehabilitation to provide a reference for follow-up research. METHODS:"Tissue flossing;compression tissue flossing;floss band;voodoo flossband;blood flow restriction;shearing of fascia;musculoskeletal rehabilitation;sport injury"were used as Chinese and English search terms to search on the databases of CNKI,WanFang,VIP,PubMed and EBSCO databases.Relevant articles from January 2000 to October 2022 were retrieved, and 86 articles were finally included according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Tissue flossing intervention can improve lower limb joint motion, improve sprint and jump performance, promote joint injury rehabilitation, and relieve pain subjectively. However, tissue flossing intervention did not improve the range of motion of the upper limb. There is still controversy on the acute enhancement of lower limb muscle strength. It has a good tendency to improve lower limb balance and stability and improve mental state, but more studies are needed to confirm. The possible mechanisms of tissue flossing intervention are mainly fascia shear, pain gating, blood flow restriction and reperfusion, and compression.Tissue flossing is a useful treatment option that can provide important contributions in the future in the areas of sports training, sports injury prevention and rehabilitation, but more long-term in-depth studies are needed.

Objective:To explore the impact of sleep duration, physical exercise, and their interactions on the risk of dyslipidemia in older adults aged ≥80 (the oldest old) in China. Methods:The study subjects were the oldest old from four rounds of Healthy Aging and Biomarkers Cohort Study (2008-2009, 2011-2012, 2014 and 2017-2018). The information about their demographic characteristics, lifestyles, physical examination results and others were collected, and fasting venous blood samples were collected from them for blood lipid testing. Competing risk model was used to analyze the causal associations of sleep duration and physical exercise with the risk for dyslipidemia. Restricted cubic spline (RCS) function was used to explore the dose-response relationship between sleep duration and the risk for dyslipidemia. Additive and multiplicative interaction model were used to explore the interaction of sleep duration and physical exercise on the risk for dyslipidemia. Results:The average age of 1 809 subjects was (93.1±7.7) years, 65.1% of them were women. The average sleep duration of the subjects was (8.0±2.5) hours/day, 28.1% of them had sleep duration for less than 7 hours/day, and 27.2% had sleep for duration more than 9 hours/day at baseline survey. During the 9-year cumulative follow-up of 6 150.6 person years (follow-up of average 3.4 years for one person), there were 304 new cases of dyslipidemia, with an incidence density of 4 942.6/100 000 person years. The results of competitive risk model analysis showed that compared with those who slept for 7-9 hours/day, the risk for dyslipidemia in oldest old with sleep duration >9 hours/day increased by 22% ( HR=1.22, 95% CI: 1.07-1.39). Compared with the oldest old having no physical exercise, the risk for dyslipidemia in the oldest old having physical exercise decreased by 33% ( HR=0.67, 95% CI: 0.57-0.78). The RCS function showed a linear positive dose-response relationship between sleep duration and the risk for hyperlipidemia. The interaction analysis showed that physical exercise and sleep duration had an antagonistic effect on the risk for hyperlipidemia. Conclusion:Physical exercise could reduce the adverse effects of prolonged sleep on blood lipids in the oldest old.

Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2023;45(3):193-198
Objective:To observe any effect of electroacupuncture on the expression of L1 cell adhesion molecule (L1CAM) in mice modeling Alzheimer′s disease (AD) and also any effect on learning and memory. Methods:Thirty male APP/PS1 mice were randomly divided into a model group, an electroacupuncture (EA) group, and a no acupuncture (NA) group, each of 10. All the animals were modeled as AD. Ten C57BL/6 mice served as a control group. The mice in the EA and NA groups were given continuous 50Hz EA at a current intensity of 1mA at and near the Baihui (GV20) and Shenshu (BL23) acupoints, respectively, once a day for 14 days, while the other two groups were not given any EA. The mice in the model and control groups continued to be routinely fed without any special treatment such as electroacupuncture. After the intervention, any behavioral changes were evaluated by using a Morris Water Maze, and the expression of L1CAM, PTEN and p53 protein in the hippocampus of each group was detected using western blotting. Results:Compared with the control group, the escape latency in positioning navigation experiments was significantly longer in the model group on the first 5 days of Morris Water Maze testing. Compared with the model group, the escape latency was significantly shorter in the EA group on days 2 to 5 of the Morris Water Maze testing, and the expression of L1CAM had increased significantly in the electroacupuncture group compared with the model group while PTEN and p53 expression had decreased significantly. The average escape latency of the NA group was significantly longer than that of the model group on days 2 to 5 of the Morris Water Maze testing. The average L1CAM expression in the NA group had decreased significantly, and the expression of PTEN and p53 protein had increased significantly more than in the EA group. The escape latency was negatively correlated with L1CAM expression but positively correlated with p53 protein and PTEN expression.Conclusion:L1CAM is involved in learning and memory processes, at least in mice. Electroacupuncture can improve the learning and memory of mice modeling Alzheimer′s, which may be due to its promoting the expression of L1CAM and inhibiting the expression of PTEN and p53.

Objective:To analyze the syndrome differentiation medication law of TCM in treating overactive bladder (OAB) based on data mining techniques. Methods:The articles about the treatment of OAB with TCM were collected from China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang database, Chongqing VIP database and SinoMed. A prescription database for OAB was established. Methods such as frequency statistics, association rule analysis, clustering analysis, and factor analysis were used to analyze the medication law of the prescriptions. Results:The results showed that a total of 91 prescriptions were included, involving 134 kinds of Chinese materia medica. Five drugs were with a usage frequency of >30%. The top 4 categories with medication frequency were herbs for tonifying deficiency, herbs for inducing diuresis and draining dampness, herbs for relieving exterior syndrome and herbs for regulating qi. The properties of the included herbs were characterized by mild and warm, and the tastes were mainly sweet, pungent and bitter. The majority of meridian tropism was kidney meridian, supplemented by spleen, liver and lung meridians. The association rule analysis showed eight high-relevance medicine pairs, and four new candidate prescriptions were summarized after the clustering analysis, and six common factors were extracted by factor analysis. Conclusions:The location of the lesion of overactive bladder is mainly about the kidney, related to the spleen, liver and lung. And the pathogenesis is based on the kidney deficiency, which also due to the adverse qi transformation in triple energizer. Clinical medication is mainly about the herbs for tonifying deficiency and the herbs for inducing diuresis and draining dampness; at the same time those herbs for regulating qi and relieving exterior syndrome should be paid attention to, which are able to smooth and regulate the qi of the whole body.

Objective:To explore the effect of job insecurity on work engagement, and examine the mediating role of job satisfaction and the moderating role of occupational proactive behavior. Methods:Using the convenient sampling method, nurses from Southern University of Science and Technology Hospital and Jiangyou Second People's Hospital were selected as the research objects in July 2022. General information questionnaire, Occupational Insecurity Scale, Occupational Satisfaction Scale, Work Engagement Scale and Occupational Proactive Behavior were used for questionnaire investigation. A total of 598 valid questionnaires were collected. Model 4 and Model 7 in the SPSS 22.0 Process were used to test the mediating effect and the moderated mediating effect respectively. Results:Occupational insecurity was negatively correlated with occupational satisfaction and work engagement ( r=-0.202, -0.165, P<0.01) , while occupational satisfaction was positively correlated with work engagement ( r=0.549, P<0.01) . Work satisfaction played a completely mediating role in the effect of job insecurity on work engagement (mediating effect value: -0.090 9, 95% confidence interval: -0.14 - -0.04) , accounting for 65.30% of the total effect. Occupational active behavior positively moderated the relationship between job insecurity and job satisfaction (β=0.07, P<0.01) . Conclusions:Nurses' work engagement is at a high level, but occupational insecurity will reduce nurses' job satisfaction and thus reduce their work engagement. Nurses with high occupational proactive behavior can alleviate the weakening of job insecurity on job satisfaction.

Objective:To explore the effect of pectin on improving intestinal barrier injury in elderly stroke patients. Methods:A total of 60 elderly stroke patients who received enteral nutrition in Department of Critical Care Medicine of Taizhou People's Hospital from November 2020 to October 2021 were included. The control group included 30 cases, using conventional enteral nutrition solution. The other 30 cases were in the study group, and pectin was added on the basis of routine enteral nutrition solution. The levels of serum diamine oxidase (DAO) and D-lactic acid (D-LA) were measured on the first and 7th days of enteral nutrition to evaluate the intestinal barrier function of elderly stroke patients. The levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6), procalcitonin (PCT) and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (CRP) were measured to evaluate the inflammatory response level of elderly stroke patients. The clinical prognosis of the two groups was compared. Results:Compared with the control group, the values of DAO [(4.05±1.56)ng/mL] and D-LA [(6.11±2.20) μmol/L] in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group on the 7th day (all P < 0.05). Also the levels of IL-6 [(15.43±12.53) ng/mL], PCT [(0.82±0.98) ng/mL] and CRP [(6.94±6.60) mg/L] in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (all P < 0.05). Compared with the control group, the length of ICU stay and total length of hospital stay in the study group were shorter than those in the control group ( P<0.05), but there was no significant difference in the incidence of stroke-related pneumonia (16.7% vs. 30.0%) and 30-day mortality (16.7% vs. 20.0%) between the two groups ( P>0.05). Conclusions:The enteral nutrition with pectin supplementation can improve intestinal barrier function and reduce inflammatory response in elderly stroke patients.
