With the frequent use of electronic devices and the development of an aging population, the prevalence of dry eye has always been high. Dry eye disease can cause eye discomfort, visual disturbances, anxiety and depression and seriously affect their quality of life. This article elaborates on the content, characteristics, application and limitations of the health related quality of life (HRQOL) assessment tools for patients with dry eye disease at home and abroad and compares the characteristics and application of the 14 questionnaires included, in order to provide reliable basis for nursing workers in China to accurately assess HRQOL of dry eye patients and provide research ideas for Chinese researchers to formulate or introduce relevant assessment tools.
