		                        			Objective: To explore the heterogeneity and correlation of clinical phenotypes and genotypes in children with disorders of sex development (DSD). Methods: A retrospective study of 1 235 patients with clinically proposed DSD in 36 pediatric medical institutions across the country from January 2017 to May 2021. After capturing 277 DSD-related candidate genes, second-generation sequencing was performed to analyzed the heterogeneity and correlation combined with clinical phenotypes. Results: Among 1 235 children with clinically proposed DSD, 980 were males and 255 were females of social gender at the time of initial diagnosis with the age ranged from 1 day of age to 17.92 years. A total of 443 children with pathogenic variants were detected through molecular genetic studies, with a positive detection rate of 35.9%. The most common clinical phenotypes were micropenis (455 cases), hypospadias (321 cases), and cryptorchidism (172 cases) and common mutations detected were in SRD5A2 gene (80 cases), AR gene (53 cases) and CYP21A2 gene (44 cases). Among them, the SRD5A2 mutation is the most common in children with simple micropenis and simple hypospadias, while the AMH mutation is the most common in children with simple cryptorchidism. Conclusions: The SRD5A2 mutation is the most common genetic variant in Chinese children with DSD, and micropenis, cryptorchidism, and hypospadias are the most common clinical phenotypes. Molecular diagnosis can provide clues about the biological basis of DSD, and can also guide clinicians to perform specific clinical examinations. Target sequence capture probes and next-generation sequencing technology can provide effective and economical genetic diagnosis for children with DSD.

		                        			OBJECTIVES:
		                        			To investigate the incidence of extrauterine growth retardation (EUGR) and its risk factors in very preterm infants (VPIs) during hospitalization in China.
		                        		
		                        			METHODS:
		                        			A prospective multicenter study was performed on the medical data of 2 514 VPIs who were hospitalized in the department of neonatology in 28 hospitals from 7 areas of China between September 2019 and December 2020. According to the presence or absence of EUGR based on the evaluation of body weight at the corrected gestational age of 36 weeks or at discharge, the VPIs were classified to two groups: EUGR group (n=1 189) and non-EUGR (n=1 325). The clinical features were compared between the two groups, and the incidence of EUGR and risk factors for EUGR were examined.
		                        		
		                        			RESULTS:
		                        			The incidence of EUGR was 47.30% (1 189/2 514) evaluated by weight. The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that higher weight growth velocity after regaining birth weight and higher cumulative calorie intake during the first week of hospitalization were protective factors against EUGR (P<0.05), while small-for-gestational-age birth, prolonged time to the initiation of total enteral feeding, prolonged cumulative fasting time, lower breast milk intake before starting human milk fortifiers, prolonged time to the initiation of full fortified feeding, and moderate-to-severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia were risk factors for EUGR (P<0.05).
		                        		
		                        			CONCLUSIONS
		                        			It is crucial to reduce the incidence of EUGR by achieving total enteral feeding as early as possible, strengthening breastfeeding, increasing calorie intake in the first week after birth, improving the velocity of weight gain, and preventing moderate-severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia in VPIs.

3.Investigation on intestinal absorption ingredients and their absorption characteristics in Pterocephali Herba by everted intestinal sac method.

		                        			The intestinal absorption characteristics of ten iridoid glycosides and phenolic acids in the Pterocephali Herba were evaluated via rat intestinal valgus model. The intestinal sac fluids at different time after administration of high,medium and low concentrations of Pterocephali Herba extract were collected and ten chemical components in fluid samples were detected by UPLC-PDA. Accumulative absorbed doses( Q) and absorption rate constants( Ka) of ten chemical constituents were calculated,while proportions between Pterocephali Herba extract and intestinal absorption liquid were compared. The results showed that the intestinal absorption of 10 chemical components was linear absorption( R2>0. 9) at different concentrations,which accorded with the zero-order absorption rate. The absorption rate constant was related to the concentration of the drug and the intestinal site,which indicated that intestinal adsorption mechanism of the components were passive diffusion and active transport. Proportions of chemical constituents in intestinal sac fluid were different from those in Pterocephali Herba extract. Therefore,those ten chemical components in Pterocephali Herba extract can be absorbed in whole intestine. Everted intestinal sac model can be used to evaluate intestinal absorption characteristics of ingredients in Pterocephali Herba extract effectively.

		                        			Dao-di herbs have been recognized as "quality models" with a firmly stable status. The formation of Dao-di herbs quality is involved from the genetic inheritance on the molecular level to the metabolic phenotype of final products, and the full material-based biosynthetic pathway remains unknown. In recent years, an increasing variety of omics technologies has provided new methods and ideas for the analysis of complex life systems and are suitable for explanation of quality formation in Dao-di herbs as well. In order to alleviate the scarcity of natural resources and offer scientific guidance of transplanting varieties, achievements of omics in the aspects of Dao-di herbs from genetics to phenotyping, the biosynthetic pathway of secondary metabolites, the interaction with human body and the new methods of quality evaluation have been summarized. 5.Brain injury after induction chemotherapy in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the changes in brain injury after the induction chemotherapy in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) by cranial MRI.
METHODSThe clinical data and cranial MRI results of 62 children with ALL who were hospitalized from March 2014 to June 2015 were analyzed retrospectively.
RESULTSBefore chemotherapy, MRI showed bone marrow infiltration of the skull in 33 patients (53%); the children with WBC<20×10(9)/Lhad a significantly lower incidence rate of bone marrow infiltration of the skull than those with WBC≥20×10(9)/L (16 patients/42% vs 17 patients/71%; P<0.05), and the high-risk group had a significantly higher incidence rate of bone marrow infiltration of the skull than the non-high-risk group (71% vs 44%; P<0.05). Before chemotherapy, there were 4 cases (7%) of brain atrophy, and 2 cases (3%) of abnormal signals in the sensory conduction bundle. MRI reexamination in 28 patients after 3 months of chemotherapy showed 3 new cases (11%) of brain atrophy and 1 aggravated case of brain atrophy.
CONCLUSIONSThe children with ALL have bone marrow infiltration of the skull, brain atrophy, and abnormal signals in the sensory conduction bundle before chemotherapy, especially bone marrow infiltration of the skull, and some changes in brain injury disappear after treatment.

6.iTRAQ-based quantitative proteomics of cultivated Pseudostellaria heterophylla and its wild type

		                        			 This work was designed to investigate proteins differentially expressed in cultivated Pseudostellaria heterophylla and its wild type using iTRAQ proteomics approach. The extracted proteins were digested using FASP method and identified by iTRAQ coupled with LC-MS/MS technology and then analyzed by Protein Pilot 5.0 search engine. Proteins differentially expressed were searched through comparison of relatively quantified proteins. The analysis was conducted using GO (gene ontology), KEGG and STRING. A total of 3 775 proteins were detected, among them, 3 676 proteins can be quantified, of which 127 proteins were up-regulated and 205 were down-regulated in cultivated Pseudostellaria heterophylla. We found 71 significantly differentially expressed proteins for further analysis. These proteins were classified into nine categories:heat shock proteins, transferases, oxidoreductases, lyases, isomerases, ligases, hydrolases, tubulin and translocases. The results indicated that the carbohydrate and cellular amino acids metabolism of cultivated Pseudostellaria heterophylla were weaker than its wild type and its ability of responding to stress was much stronger. GWD1, PHS1, GBE1, PGM, and BAM1 are the important proteins to regulate sucrose; metE and CYS are the key proteins that regulate amino acids in cultivated and wild Pseudostellaria heterophylla. This will provide the basic information for exploring the cause of secondary metabolites differences in different ecotype of Pseudostellaria heterophylla and the protein mechanism of its quality formation.

		                        			The present study was designed to isolate the polyphenol constituents of cultured cells of Saussurea involucrata. The polyphenol type constituents were isolated using chromatography methods, and then characterized by spectral analysis. 1,1-Diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical 2,2-Diphenyl-1-(2,4,6-trinitrophenyl)-hydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2'-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid (ABTS) free radical scavenging were assayed using Vitamin C as the positive control. One new polyphenol 18, 1, 3-di-O-caffeoyl-5-O-(1-methoxyl-2-O-caffeoyl-4-maloyl)-quinic acid, together with 17 known compounds, was isolated and characterized. In conclusion, Compound 18 was a new caffeoyl maloyl quinic acid type polyphenol and showed desired vitro anti-oxidant activity. 8.Chemical constituents in higher polar substances from Desmodium caudatum.

		                        			In this study the chemical constituents of the higher polar sustances from Desmodium caudatum were investigated.The compounds were isolated by using column chromatographies over silicagel, polyamide, ODS, Sephadex LH-20, and preparative HPLC. The structures of these compounds were identified on the basis of NMR and MS spectra. Thirteen compounds were obtained and their structures were identified as vanillin(1), loliolide(2), indole-3-carboxaldehyde(3), salicylic acid(4), swertisin(5), saccharumoside C(6), isosinensin (7), kaempferol 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside-7-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside (8), isovitexin (9), vitexin (10), nothofagin(11), resveratroloside (12), and 2"-α-rhamnopyranosyl-7-O-methylvitexin (13). Except for compound 5, the remaining compounds were isolated from D. caudatum for the first time. 9.Analysis on personality traits in patients undergoing LASlK

		                        			AlM: To analyze personality traits in preoperative patients who undergolaser in situ keratomileusis ( LASlK) and to provide psychological basis for the selection of refractive surgery. 
 METHODS: Eligible patientswere seeking customized LASlK (group A n=53), conventional LASlK(group B n=75)and non-operation patients with ametropia (group C n=71 ) , who completed 16 personality factor questionnaires (16PF). Statistical analyses were performed with one-way ANOVA by SPSS11. 0 software package. 
 RESULTS: Compared to group C, patients in group A scored high on dominance and tension levels, and low on emotional stability level(P<0. 05), while patients in group B were more venturesome and more experimenting, but were less vigilant ( P<0. 05 ). Additionally, there were statistical differences between group A and group B on dominance, gallantry and vigilance respectively(P<0. 05). CONCLUSlON: The data indicates that personality profiles of LASlK patients with refractive error influence their decision for correction. Patients need suitable psychological assessment before surgery who actively chose customized LASlK seem to be more assertive and suspicious.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
10.A comparison study on the multi-drug resistance of tuberculosis in Huzhou City

		                        			Objective To obtain the data on total drug resistance rate,initial drug resistant rate and acquired drug resistant rate and to analyze the efficacy of modern tuberculosis control strategy in Huzhou City.Methods Collect sputum specimens which were cultured positive from mycobacterium tuberculosis patients with new registration and identification in Huzhou in the first stage (2001-2004)and second stage (2009-2010).The sample size was 192 and 772 respectively. We used cultured positive specimens for drug sensitivity test which was by means of proportion method.Results In the first stage (2001-2004 ),the rate of total drug resistance,multi -drug resistance,initial resistance and acquired resistance was 25.25%,6.9%,19.02% and 51.30% respectively.The rates above in the second stage (2009-2010) were 15.41%,3.50%,1 1.95% and 43.02% respectively.There was significant difference (P<0.01 )in the rates of total drug resistance,multi-drug resistance and initial resistance between the two stages,but no significant difference (P>0.05 ) in the rate of acquired resistance. Conclusion Modern tuberculosis control strategy makes noticeable achievements for the drug resistant tuberculosis control,but the acquired drug resistance remains to be the focus of tuberculosis prevention and control in the current strategy.
