Dachengqi Decoction is a classic prescription attacked by Yangming excessive syndromes in clinic, which has the effects of relieving heat, softening and dispersing knots, etc., and is often used in the treatment of gastrointestinal dysfunction caused by various diseases. This article reviewed the recent studies on the chemical compositions and pharmacological effects of Dachengqi Decoction in recent years. On this basis, combined with the "five principles" of TCM quality markers, the quality markers of Dachengqi Decoction were predicted and analyzed. It is suggested that emodin, Rhein, chrysophanol, aloe-emodin, synephrine, hesperidin, naringin, magnolol and magnolol can be used as quality markers of Dachengqi Decoction.

Objective To summarize clinical experience of transabdominal pericardial anastomosis of suprahepatic vena cava of the donor and right atrium of the recipient in liver transplantation for Budd-Chiari syndrome (BCS) complicated with liver cancer. Methods Clinical data of a BCS patient complicated with liver cancer undergoing transabdominal pericardial anastomosis of suprahepatic vena cava and right atrium in liver transplantation were retrospectively analyzed. Results The hepatic vein and suprahepatic vena cava were partially occluded in the patient. Liver transplantation was completed by transabdominal pericardial anastomosis of suprahepatic vena cava and right atrium with beating-heart. In addition, due to pathological changes of the recipient's hepatic artery, splenic artery of the recipient was cut off, distal ligation was performed, and the proximal end was reversed and anastomosed with the common hepatic artery of the donor liver, and the reconstruction of hepatic artery was completed. The surgery was successfully performed. At approximately postoperative 1 week, the function of the liver allograft was gradually restored to normal, and no major complications occurred. The patient was discharged at postoperative 25 d. No signs of BCS recurrence was reported after 8-month follow-up. Conclusions It is safe and feasible to treat BCS by liver transplantation with transabdominal pericardial anastomosis of suprahepatic vena cava and right atrium. BCS patients complicated with liver cancer obtain favorable prognosis.

During the COVID-19 epidemic, our national guidelines have suggested that surgical patients should wear a mask to decrease the potential transmission of COVID-19 in the operating room, as long as the condition allows. However, so far, there is no study to discuss the influence of wearing a mask on the ventilation and blood oxygenation status in patients of spontaneous breathing with supplementary oxygen through an anesthetic facemask. This is a before-after study in the same patient, and 10 healthy volunteers were recruited, by testing the arterial blood gas parameters at key time points before and after oxygen inhalation to evaluate the effects of two different supplementary oxygen methods ('disposable medical mask + anesthetic facemask' and 'anesthetic facemask only') on the oxygenation of subjects. Our data demonstrated whether wearing a disposable medical mask or not could effectively increase the oxygen supply of the subjects compared with the basic value before oxygen inhalation; however, compared with the group without mask, the arterial oxygen partial (PaO

Objective:To analyze the characteristics of malaria epidemic situation before and after malaria elimination in Qiandongnan Prefecture, and to provide the basis for establishment of effective strategies and measures to consolidate the achievements of malaria prevention and control. Methods:The data of malaria cases in 16 counties (cities) of Qiandongnan Prefecture from 2005 to 2018 were collected, and descriptive epidemiological method was used to analyze the infection rate of Plasmodium among local residents and floating population before (2005-2011) and after (2012-2018) elimination of malaria, and the characteristics of population distribution, seasonal distribution, species of Plasmodium and types of malaria vectors were analyzed. Results:Before elimination of malaria, total of 1 412 cases of malaria were reported, among those cases, 1 361 cases were local cases, accounting for 96.39% of the total cases. After elimination of malaria, total of 17 cases were reported, all of them were imported cases. After comparison of malaria cases before and after the elimination, the proportion of people aged from 18 to 60 was 70.54% (996/1 412) before the elimination, all 17 imported cases were 18-60 years old after the elimination, and the proportion of children/students decreased from 24.65% (348/1 412) before the elimination to 0 after the elimination. The peak incidence of malaria cases before the elimination was from June to October, and cases occurred every month. After the elimination, the imported cases were sporadic. Plasmodium vivax was the main species of Plasmodium before the elimination (98.58%, 1 392/1 412), and Plasmodium falciparum was mainly imported after the elimination (70.59%, 12/17). Before and after the elimination, Anopheles sinensis, the malaria vector, was the dominant population, but no distribution of Anopheles minimus and Anopheles anthropophagus was found after 2015. Conclusions:After the elimination of malaria in Qiandongnan Prefecture, there is a risk of local malaria cases caused by imported cases. It is suggested that local authorities should focus on the treatment of suspected malaria cases and vector surveillance of overseas returnees in the future.

Purpose To investigate the expression of Axin, β-catenin and p53 in the pleural fluid and to discuss their relationships and significances. Methods The expression of Axin, β-catenin and p53 was detected using immunocytochemistry in adenocarinoma cells of the pleural fluid from 40 patients with primary lung adenocarcinomas or reactive mesothelial cells of the pleural fluid from 40 pa-tients with benign lung diseases. Results Axin positive expression rate was 30% (12/40) in cases with primary lung adenocarcino-mas. The positive expression rate of β-catenin was 15% (6/40) on cell membrane and 60%(24/40) in cytoplasm. The expression rate of p53 was 57. 5% (23/40) in cases of primary lung adenocarcinomas. The expression of Axin was positively correlated with the membranous expression of β-catenin, and negatively correlated with p53 in cancer cells of the pleural fluids. The positive expression rate of Axin was 77. 5% (31/40), but the expression rate of p53 was 1. 25% (5/40). There was no expression ofβ-catenin in reac-tive mesothelial cells from benign lung diseases. Conclusions The expression of Axin is significantly reduced in adenocarcinoma cells. The expression rate ofβ-catenin in cytoplasm is higher than that in membrane of cancer cells. It has a certain value to detect the expression of Axin,β-catenin and p53 for diagnosis and differential diagnosis of lung adenocaicinomas from benign lung diseases.

BACKGROUND:It has been studied that the distribution of bone morphogenetic protein 2 is regular under bone defect situation. OBJECTIVE:To observe the expression of bone morphogenetic protein 2 in rabbit radial defect site with different lengths. METHODS:Forty-eight New Zealand rabbits were divided into two groups randomly, 0.5 cm bone defect and 3.0 cm bone defect were made by wire saw at the middle part of radius bone after anaesthesia. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Western blot results showed that in the 0.5 cm bone defect group, the expression of bone morphogenetic protein 2 of the tissues in the bone defect site was increased gradual y at 1, 3, 4 weeks after operation, and the expression in each defect group was increased when compared with that immediately after injury (P<0.05). In the 3.0 cm bone defect group, the expression of bone morphogenetic protein 2 of tissues in bone defect site was increased gradual y and reached to its peak at 3 weeks after the operation (P<0.05), and the peak value in the 3.0 cm bone defect group was significantly higher than that in 0.5 cm bone defect group (P<0.05). The peak value was maintained in high level. The comparison of bone cal us formation showed that the bone cal us formation of 3.0 cm bone defect group was less than that of the 0.5 cm bone defect group at 3 and 4 weeks after operation (P<0.05). The results indicate that expression of the bone morphogenetic protein 2 in 3.0 cm bone defect site is increased significantly, but the expression level cannot make the bone defect heal itself.

Objective To establish an objective animal experimental model for the experimental study of clinical bone defect, detect the BMP-2 activity in bone defect area, and observe the early healing situation of rabbit radial fracture. Methods A total of 72 New Zealand rabbits [weight/ each:(2.8 ±0.2)kg] were randomly divided into four experimental groups A,B,C,and D (18/each) with corresponding 0.5 cm,1.5 cm,2.0 cm,and 3.0 cm bone defect models abolished, respectively,in the middle of the rabbit left radius.By the time of modeling, all the bone segments were retained and a small amount of bone adjacent tissues were taken as E specimens of control group.Modeling time was recorded as 0 week, and six animals of each group were killed in 1 W,3 W,4 W later. Then the bone defect surrounding tissues were taken to check BMP-2 content by Western-blot detection, and the bone-healing situation was observed at different time. Results BMP-2 composition showed a significant increase in secretory volume of each group's bone defect area tissues after modeling one week, compared with E specimens of control group (P < 0.05).BMP-2 composition secretion capacity even reached its peak in the third week four groups (A,B,C,D)increased by 556.1%,385.9%,272.2%,171.2% respectively.and BMP-2 content reduced apparently in the fourth week than before(P < 0.05).At the same time,BMP-2 content decreased with the addition of bone defect length(P < 0.05).Also a correlation was shown between bone healing and time with the bone defect length. Conclusions A comparable rabbit radial bone defect model was successfully established. These objective animal models, which are closer to clinical reality, provide the theoretical basis of animal experiments to explore the mechanism of human fracture healing.
