Objective To investigate the changes in distribution of Oncomelania hupensis snails in forestlands in Songjiang District, Shanghai Municipality from 2009 to 2023, so as to provide insights into formulation of O. hupensis snail surveillance programs. Methods The reports on O. hupensis snail surveillance in Songjiang District, Shanghai Municipality from 2009 to 2023 were collected, and the snail surveillance data in forestlands were extracted. The trends in the proportion of areas with snails in forestlands in total areas with snails, occurrence of frames with living snails and density of living snails were evaluated using a Joinpoint regression model in Songjiang District from 2009 to 2023, and the annual percent change (APC) and average annual percent change (AAPC). Results A total of 40 sites with snails were found in forestlands in 14 administrative villages of 4 townships, Songjiang District, Shanghai Municipality from 2009 to 2023. A total of 39 065 frames were surveyed for snails in settings covering an area of 609 600 m2, and there were 6 084 frames with snails, covering 151 250 m2 snail habitats. A total of 22 210 snails were captured, with the highest density of 260.00 snails/0.1 m2, and 6 262 snails were dissected, with no Schistosoma japonicum infection identified in snails. The proportion of areas with snails in forestlands in total areas with snails appeared a tendency towards a rise in forestlands in Songjiang District, Shanghai Municipality from 2009 to 2023 (APC = AAPC = 24.9%, P > 0.05); however, there were no turning points in the trend curve, with the highest proportion seen in 2009 (53.81%), the lowest in 2011 and 2023 (both 0) and a mean proportion of 24.81%. The occurrence of frames with living snails appeared a tendency towards a rise from 2009 to 2023 (APC = AAPC = 41.5%, P > 0.05); however, there were no turning points in the trend curve, with the highest occurrence in 2009 (53.81%), the lowest in 2011 and 2013 (both 0), and the mean occurrence of 15.57%. In addition, the density of living snails appeared a tendency towards a rise from 2009 to 2023 (APC = AAPC = 55.0%, P > 0.05); however, there were no turning points in the trend curve, with the highest density in 2023 (0.96 snails/0.1 m2), the lowest in 2011 and 2013 (both 0), and a mean density of 0.57 snails/0.1 m2. Conclusions The difficulty in O. hupensis snail control and risk of imported snails appeared a tendency towards a rise in forestlands in Songjiang District, Shanghai Municipality over years from 2009 to 2023. Supervision and assessment prior to seedling transplantation and intensified surveillance post-transplantation are recommended to reduce the risk of O. hupensis snail importation and spread.

ObjectiveTo analyze the monitoring results and trends of Oncomelania in Songjiang District of Shanghai from 2007 to 2023, and to provide reference for future monitoring work. MethodsThe data of snail monitoring in Songjiang District from 2007 to 2023 were collected, including the location of snail spots, the number of survey frames, the area with snails, the number of frames with snails, the total number of snails, etc. The density of living snails and the occurrence rate of living snail frames were calculated. ResultsFrom 2007 to 2023, a total of 158 snail spots were found in 22 administrative villages in 4 towns in Songjiang District, including 131 emerging snail habitats (82.91%) and 27 reemerging snail habitats (17.09%). The total snail area was 175 980 m2, the number of snail frames was 10 061, and 33 302 snails were captured. The highest density was 260/0.11 m2, and 15 662 snails were dissected. No positive snails were found. The average density of living snails was 0.60/0.11 m2 and the average occurrence rate of living snail frames was 17.99%. The snail areas in different areas were Yexie Town 126 000 m2 (71.60%), Maogang Town 26 470 m2 (15.04%), Xinbang Town 17 040 m2 (9.68%), and Shihudang Town 6 470 m2 (3.68%). The average density of living snails in different areas was 0.89/0.11 m2 in Yexie Town, 0.65/0.11 m2 in Maogang Town, 0.26/0.11 m2 in Shihudang Town and 0.24/0.11 m2 in Xinbang Town. The snail areas of different snail habitats were as follows: woodland 151 250 m2(85.95%), river 13 810 m2(7.85%), ditch 6 910 m2(3.93%), farmland 4 010 m2(2.28%). The average density of living snails in different snail habitats: ditch 1.01/0.11 m2, beach 0.86/0.11 m2, woodland 0.57/0.11 m2, river 0.40/0.11 m2. The occurrence rate of living snail frames in different regions and different snail environment types showed a downward trend and the difference was statistically significant. ConclusionAlthough the snail monitoring indicators such as snail area, average living snail density and average living snail frame occurrence rate in Songjiang District are still at its historically low level, the average living snail density and average living snail frame occurrence rate are still high compared with other regions or the national average. We should focus on the upper reaches and tributaries of the Huangpu River, especially the key areas of seedling transplantation, and strengthen monitoring and supervision to reduce the risk of snail input.

Objective:To explore the characteristics of gut microbiota in the preoperative, short-term postoperative and long-term postoperative period at (15.61±4.51) months in children with ventricular septal defect (VSD) of congenital heart disease (CHD) treated with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB).Methods:A prospective study was conducted. In Guangzhou Women and Children′s Medical Center, 13 patients with VSD who were scheduled for CPB and additional 10 age- and gender-matched healthy infants as pre-CPB control group from January 2021 to January 2022 were enrolled.Fecal samples were collected at pre- and early post-CPB.Meanwhile, 18 gender- and CHD diagnosis and operation-matched patients at (15.61±4.51) months after CPB and 8 healthy age- and gender-matched children as long-term control group after CPB were also enrolled, and fecal samples were collected.16S rRNA sequencing of fecal samples from all subjects were performed and comparing the differences in gut microbiota between two groups via comparing alpha and beta diversity, parameter test or nonparametric test, and LEfSe analysis. Results:Compared with those of pre-CPB control group, there was a significant difference in the composition of gut microbiota in the preoperative period of VSD children, with significantly increased abundances of Enterobacteriaceae and Shigella, and decreased abundance of Bifidobacterium (all P<0.05). The diversity of gut microbiota was comparable in VSD children before CPB and in the short period time after CPB (all P>0.05), except for the abundances of Clostridium and Streptococcus (all P<0.05), and there was no significant difference in the relative abundances of other highly abundant gut bacteria between the two periods (all P>0.05). Compared with that in VSD children in the short period time after CPB, the abundances of short-chain fatty acids-producing microbes were significantly higher at (15.61±4.51) months postoperatively (all P<0.05), and the gut bacteria profile was similar to that of the long-term control group after CPB (all P>0.05). Conclusions:Gut microbiota imbalance exists in VSD children before CPB.The gut microbiota profile is not influenced by CPB, which returns normal at (15.61±4.51) months postoperatively.

Objective:To analyze the risk factors and human papillomavirus (HPV) genotypes distribution in patients with condyloma acuminatum (CA) in two regions of Shandong province. Methods:From August 2019 to December 2020, an anonymous questionnaire survey of CA patients was conducted in three hospitals in Jinan City and Jining City, Shandong Province, and samples were collected for HPV typing. Multivariate binary logistic regression was used to analyze the risk factors of CA recurrence. HPV typing was detected by PCR-reverse dot blot hybridization. Results:A total of 653 questionnaires were collected, and the valid questionnaires accounted for 98.77% (645/653). Recurrence of the disease occurred in 174 patients, with a recurrence rate of 26.98%. Univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in the distribution of CA recurrence among residence time at current address, sexual frequency, genitalia cleaning, and knowledge of preventing HPV infection ( P<0.05). Multivariate binary logistic regression showed that knowing how to prevent HPV infection was a significant factor that influences CA recurrence. A total of 428 patients underwent HPV typing, and the positive detection rate of HPV was 98.60% (422/428). The top three positive rates were HPV6 (57.58%), HPV11 (36.49%) and HPV16 (11.37%). The main type of infection was low-risk HPV, accounting for 51.42% (217/422). Conclusions:CA patients have the phenomenon of "separation of knowledge and action" , so it is necessary to strengthen health education and behavioral intervention, guide the population to correctly treat sexual behavior, and improve self-prevention awareness and risk awareness.

Objective:To investigate the effects of iron deficiency in early life on neurobehavioral manifestations in CDH2 genetic mutation rats, in order to explore interaction between iron deficiency and CDH2 gene mutation in autism-like behavior. Methods:The 16 female SD rats with established CDH2 genetic mutations were randomly divided into 8 rats as iron deficiency group and 8 rats as normal diet control group. After mating, rats were fed low-iron diets during pregnancy and lactation or standard diets as control. The offsprings were randomly divided into 27 rats as iron deficiency group and 27 rats as control group. The voice communication ability of offspring was studied through ultrasonic vocalizations. The data and videos of open-field test, three-chamber social interaction test were recorded by animal behavioral video analysis system(Smart3.0). The characteristics of behavior changes were analyzed by statistical methods. Results:Total number of calls in rats aged 10 day in iron deficiency group[(755.67±161.86)times]were significantly lower than that in the control group[(1461.89±166.57)times]( P<0.05). Total calling duration[(41.77±16.17)s]were significantly lower than that in the control group[(86.22±10.07)s]( P<0.05). There is a certain synergistic effect of CDH2 genetic mutation and iron deficiency on the reduction of total calls in rats aged 6 and 8 day( P<0.05). The total distance, distance in zone-periphery, mean speed in zone-total and mean speed in zone-periphery of rats in iron deficiency group were all higher than that in the control group( P<0.05); the numbers of standing and rearing were reduced( P<0.05). In the second stage of the three-chamber test, the rats in the iron deficiency group had shorter communication time with the new stranger 2 and longer interaction time with the old stranger 1 compared with the control, showing a weakening trend of social ability, but the difference was not statistically significant( P>0.05). Conclusion:Autism-like behavioral changes occurred in rats with iron deficiency in early life and CDH2 genetic mutation, and there is a certain degree of synergy.Iron deficiency and CDH2 mutation may increase the risk of autism spectrum disorder.

Objectives To explore the effect of holder pasteurization, frozen storage time and thawing methods on macronutrients and energy content of donor human milk, and to provide theoretical basis for the rational use of breast milk. Methods Thirty-three samples of donor human milk were collected and an aliquot of each sample was analyzed before and after pasteurization. The remaining milk after pasteurization was split into 9 aliquot , and frozen at -20 ℃. After 30, 60, and 90 days, the milk was thawed by three different methods of room tempe-rature, 4 ℃ refrigeration, and 37 ℃ water bath, respectively. The nutrient components of each aliquot were analyzed and compared. Results We observed a mild reduction in fat and energy content after pasteurization (P <0.05). A significant decrease of fat, protein and energy content with the prolonged storage time was observed (P <0.01), and during the whole process (pasteurization + frozen storage), the decrease of fat, protein and energy content was 36.6%, 32.6%and 22.6%, respectively.
