1.Strategies and advances in hepatitis B vaccination in China

		                        			Hepatitis B is a major global public health issue. Through the implementation of comprehensive prevention and control strategies centered on hepatitis B vaccination, China has achieved remarkable progress in hepatitis B prevention and control, while there are still many issues and challenges. 		                        			Non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)is one of the malignant tumors with high morbidity and mortality worldwide.Ferroptosis is a new type of programmed cell death caused by abnormal accumulation of iron-dependent reactive oxygen species(ROS)leading to lipid peroxidation.It involves the balance between iron metabolism,lipid metabolism,oxy-gen free radical reaction and lipid peroxidation.Recent studies have found that ferroptosis is closely related to the occurrence and development of NSCLC.Due to the emergence of chemotherapy resistance and radiotherapy resistance in the treatment of NSCLC,there is an urgent need to develop new effective drugs and treatment strategies.Traditional Chinese medicine has unique advantages in the prevention and treatment of NSCLC due to its multi-targets and minimal side effects.In this review,we summarize the mechanism of ferroptosis in NSCLC,and discuss the research status of active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine,single-herb traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese herbal compounds in the intervention of NSCLC through ferroptosis,in order to provide a new theoretical basis for the research of ferroptosis pathway and the prevention and treatment of NSCLC by targeted ferroptosis of traditional Chinese medicine.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
3.Analysis of clinical characteristics and prognosis of patients with newly diagnosed mul-tiple myeloma with thrombocytopenia

		                        			Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics and prognosis of patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma(NDMM)with thrombocytopenia.Methods:Clinical data of 529 patients with NDMM admitted to The Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University between January 2012 and December 2021 were retrospectively analyzed.The patients were categorized into thrombocytopenia and nor-mal platelet count groups based on their platelet count levels.Results:A total of 529 patients with NDMM were included in this study,with 108(20.42%)patients in the thrombocytopenia group.The median progression-free survival(mPFS)was 30.64 months(95%confidence in-terval[CI]:23.43-37.85)in the thrombocytopenia group,which was shorter than that in the normal platelet count group(41.39 months[95%CI:37.37-45.39],P=0.002).The median overall survival(mOS)was 40.59 months(95%CI:30.61-50.57)in the thrombocytopenia group,which was shorter than that in the normal platelet count group(60.92 months[95%CI:54.54-67.29],P<0.001).Multivariate Cox regression analysis identified thrombocytopenia as a risk factor for OS in patients with NDMM(HR=1.238[95%CI:1.16-1.952],P=0.03).Conclusions:The prognosis of patients with NDMM with thrombocytopenia was worse than that of patients with NDMM who had normal platelet levels.Thrombocytopenia may serve as a poor prognostic indicator for NDMM.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
4.Machine-learning-based models assist the prediction of pulmonary embolism in autoimmune diseases: A retrospective, multicenter study

		                        			Background::Pulmonary embolism (PE) is a severe and acute cardiovascular syndrome with high mortality among patients with autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic diseases (AIIRDs). Accurate prediction and timely intervention play a pivotal role in enhancing survival rates. However, there is a notable scarcity of practical early prediction and risk assessment systems of PE in patients with AIIRD.Methods::In the training cohort, 60 AIIRD with PE cases and 180 age-, gender-, and disease-matched AIIRD non-PE cases were identified from 7254 AIIRD cases in Tongji Hospital from 2014 to 2022. Univariable logistic regression (LR) and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) were used to select the clinical features for further training with machine learning (ML) methods, including random forest (RF), support vector machines (SVM), neural network (NN), logistic regression (LR), gradient boosted decision tree (GBDT), classification and regression trees (CART), and C5.0 models. The performances of these models were subsequently validated using a multicenter validation cohort.Results::In the training cohort, 24 and 13 clinical features were selected by univariable LR and LASSO strategies, respectively. The five ML models (RF, SVM, NN, LR, and GBDT) showed promising performances, with an area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve (AUC) of 0.962-1.000 in the training cohort and 0.969-0.999 in the validation cohort. CART and C5.0 models achieved AUCs of 0.850 and 0.932, respectively, in the training cohort. Using D-dimer as a pre-screening index, the refined C5.0 model achieved an AUC exceeding 0.948 in the training cohort and an AUC above 0.925 in the validation cohort. These results markedly outperformed the use of D-dimer levels alone.Conclusion::ML-based models are proven to be precise for predicting the onset of PE in patients with AIIRD exhibiting clinical suspicion of PE.Trial Registration::Chictr.org.cn: ChiCTR2200059599.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
5.Biomechanical Study on Atlantoaxial Dislocation Combined with Basilar Invagination by Different Posterior Internal Fixation Methods

		                        			 Objective To investigate biomechanical differences of two posterior occipitocervical internal fixation techniques for treating basilar invagination with atlantoaxial dislocation (BI-AAD). Methods Intra-articular cage + posterior occipital plate+C2 pedicle screw (Cage+C2PS+OP), and intra-articular cage+C1 lateral mass screw+C2PS (Cage+C1LMS+C2PS) models were established based on occipitocervical CT data of the BI-AAD and clinical operation scheme, and the stability of atlantoaxial joint and stress distribution characteristics of C2 endplate and implanted instruments under different motion states were analyzed. Results Compared with the Cage+C1LMS+C2PS model, the atlantoaxial range of motion ( ROM) under flexion, extension, lateral bending and axial rotation in the Cage+C2PS+OP model were reduced by 5. 26% , 33. 33% , 43. 75% , -5. 56% , and stress peak of screw-rod fixation system were reduced by 47. 81% , 60. 90% , 48. 45% , 39. 14% , respectively. Under two internal fixation modes, stresses of C2 endplate and cage were mainly distributed on the compressive side during the motion, and both the screw-bone interface and the caudal side of screw subjected to large loading. Conclusions Two internal fixation methods could provide similar stability. However, the stress concentration of screw-rod system was more obvious and the possibility of screw loosening and fracture was greater under Cage+ C1LMS+C2PS fixation. 
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
6.Application of cell-free transcription and translation system in CRISPR technologies and the associated biosensors.

		                        			Cell-free transcription and translation (TXTL) system is a cell extract-based system for rapid in vitro protein expression. The system bypasses routine laboratory processes such as bacterial transformation, clonal screening and cell lysis, which allows more precise and convenient control of reaction substrates, reduces the impact of bacteria on protein production, and provides a high degree of versatility and flexibility. In recent years, TXTL has been widely used as an emerging platform in clusterd regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat (CRISPR) technologies, enabling more rapid and convenient characterization of CRISPR/Cas systems, including screening highly specific gRNAs as well as anti-CRISPR proteins. Furthermore, TXTL-based CRISPR biosensors combined with biological materials and gene circuits are able to detect pathogens through validation of related antibiotics and nucleic acid-based markers, respectively. The reagents can be freeze-dried to improve portability and achieve point-of-care testing with high sensitivity. In addition, combinations of the sensor with programmable circuit elements and other technologies provide a non-biological alternative to whole-cell biosensors, which can improve biosafety and accelerate its application for approval. Here, this review discusses the TXTL-based characterization of CRISPR and their applications in biosensors, to facilitate the development of TXTL-based CRISPR/Cas systems in biosensors.

7.Investigation of contamination of SARS-CoV-2 in imported frozen seafood from a foreign cargo ship and risk factors for infection in stevedores in Qingdao

		                        			Objective:To investigate the contamination status of SARS-CoV-2 in imported frozen seafood from a Russia cargo ship in Qingdao and to analyze the risk factors for infection in local stevedores.Methods:The method of "two-stage, full coverage and mixed sampling" was used to collect the seafood packaging samples for the nucleic acid detection of SARS-CoV-2 by real-time fluorescent quantitative RT-PCR. A unified questionnaire was designed to investigate 71 stevedores in two shifts through telephone interview. The stevedores were divided into two groups, with 23 in the shit with two infections was group A and 48 in the shift without infection was group B. Software Epi Info7.2 was used to identify the risk factors for SARS-CoV-2 infections in the stevedores.Results:In the frozen seafood from a Russia cargo ship, the total positive rate of SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid in the frozen seafood was 11.53% (106/919). The positive rate of SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid in the frozen seafood unloaded by group A (14.29%,70/490) was significantly higher than that in the frozen seafood unloaded by group B (8.39%,36/429)( χ2=7.79, P=0.01) and the viral loads detected in the frozen seafood unloaded by group A were higher than those detected in the frozen seafood unloaded by group B. The scores of personal protection and behaviors in the stevedores in group A were significantly lower than those in group B ( P<0.05), and toilet use, smoking and improper hand washing before meals were the risk factors for the infection. Conclusions:The imported frozen seafood was contaminated by SARS-CoV-2 and the contamination distribution was uneven. Supervision and management of personal occupational protection and behaviors of workers engaged in imported frozen food transportation should be strengthened. It is suggested that a closed-loop monitoring and management system for the whole process of "fishing-transport- loading/unloading" should be established by marine fishery authority.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
8. The effects of ApoE epsilon4 alleles on cognitive function and resting-state functional MRI in patients with amnestic mild cognitive impairment: a prospective cohort study

		                        			To explore the effects of ApoE epsilon4 (ApoE-ε4) alleles on cognitive function and resting-state functional MRI (rs-fMRI) in patients with amnestic mild cognitive impairment(aMCI) based on a prospective cohort study.

		                        			An average of 20 months of prospective observations were conducted on 16 ApoE-ε4-carriers and 24 non-carriers of aMCI. Neuropsychological assessments and rs-fMRI data were collected at both baseline and follow-up. All participants were assessed by a battery of neuropsychological tests and underwent rs-fMRI. Two core regions of the default mode network (DMN), the left posterior cingulate cortex (PCC) and the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC), were selected as seeds to calculate the functional connectivity. 9.Clinical efficacy of dye laser combined with Xin'an repair solution in the treatment of superficial infantile hemangioma

		                        			Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of dye laser combined with Xin'an repair solution in the treating superficial infantile hemangioma(IH). Methods 100 patients with superficial IH were randomly divided into observation group and control group.The observation group received dye laser combined with Xin'an re-pair solution,while the control group was treated only with dye laser.The clinical efficacy and the rate of complica-tions after treatment were compared between the two groups,and the different efficacy between the head neck group and the non head neck group in the observation group was further analyzed. Results The total effective rate of the observation group(90%)was significantly higher than the control group(70%),and the difference was sta-tistically significant(P<0.05).The rate of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(6%vs.32%,P<0.05).In the observation group,the total effective rate of head neck group was better than that the non head neck group(P<0.05). 10.The diagnostic and prognostic value of CT scans in patients with acute pancreatitis complications

		                        			Objective To analyze the diagnosis and prognosis value of abdominal CT scans in patients with acute pancreatitis complications.Methods 151 cases with acute pancreatitis were selected.The relationship between abdominal CT performances and the common complications and death in patients was analyzed.The prognosis of patients with different Balthazar CT severity index (CTSI) grade was compared.Results The complication rate of patients with CT signs of fatty liver, pleural effusion, liver gap effusion, adrenal gland involvement (AGI), penirenal space involvement (PSI) and gastric bare area involvement (GBAI) was significantly higher than that of patients with negative CT findings above (P<0.05).With CTSI grading increasing, the patient''s fasting time, heating time, hospital stay, recovery time of blood amylase were extended, and the incidence of pseudo cyst, transit surgery, organ failure and death was gradually increasing (P<0.05).Conclusion Severe fatty liver, AGI, GBAI, PSI and liver gap effusion are risk factors for acute complications and death in patients with pancreatitis.
