Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma(PPAR-γ)is a member of the ligand-activated nuclear tran-scription factor superfamily.Activated PPAR-γ is involved in the regulation of many central nervous system(CNS)events,and is involved in cholesterol metabolism by inducing or inhibi-ting a series of gene pathways,thereby inhibiting the deposition of β-amyloid protein(Aβ).It plays an important neuroprotec-tive role in Alzheimer's disease(AD),improves memory and cognition in AD,and is a potential target for AD.Drug develop-ment aimed at restoring cholesterol homeostasis may be a poten-tial strategy to counteract AD.By analyzing the distribution and structure of PPAR-γ,focusing on the biological correlation be-tween PPAR-γ-mediated cholesterol metabolism and AD,this paper describes the mechanism regulation of PPAR-γ on key proteins,genes and their corresponding molecules,providing a new reference for the treatment of AD.
2.Clinical features of children with coronavirus disease 2019 caused by Delta variant infection in different age groups.

OBJECTIVES:
To study the clinical features of children with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by Delta variant infection in different ages groups.
METHODS:
A total of 45 children with COVID-19 caused by Delta variant infection who were hospitalized in the designated hospital in Henan Province, China, from November 17 to December 17, 2021, were included. They were divided into three groups: <6 years group (n=16), 6-13 years group (n=16), and >13 years group (n=13). The three groups were compared in clinical features and laboratory examination data.
RESULTS:
COVID-19 in all age groups was mainly mild. Main manifestations included cough and expectoration in the three groups, and fever was only observed in the 6-13 years group. The <6 years group had significantly higher serum levels of aspartate aminotransferase, lactate dehydrogenase, and creatine kinase isoenzymes than the other two groups (P<0.05). The 6-13 years group had the highest proportion of children with elevated serum creatinine levels (50%). Among the three groups, only 4 children in the >13 years group had an increase in serum C-reactive protein levels. The 6-13 years group had the lowest counts of CD3+CD4+ lymphocytes, CD3+CD8+ lymphocytes, and natural killer cells in the peripheral blood among the three groups. The >13 years group had a significantly higher positive rate of SARS-CoV-2 IgG on admission than the other two groups (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the imaging findings on chest CT among the three groups (P>0.05).
CONCLUSIONS
The clinical features of COVID-19 caused by Delta variant infection in children of different age groups may be different: children aged <6 years tend to develop myocardial injury, and those aged 6-13 years have fever except cough and expectoration and tend to develop renal and immune dysfunction.

3.Impacts of androgen deprivation therapy on the risks and outcomes of SARS-CoV-2 infection in patients with prostate cancer.

Studies have investigated the effects of androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) use on the incidence and clinical outcomes of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19); however, the results have been inconsistent. We searched the PubMed, Medline, Cochrane, Scopus, and Web of Science databases from inception to March 2022; 13 studies covering 84 003 prostate cancer (PCa) patients with or without ADT met the eligibility criteria and were included in the meta-analysis. We calculated the pooled risk ratios (RRs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) to explore the association between ADT use and the infection risk of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and severity of COVID-19. After synthesizing the evidence, the pooled RR in the SARS-CoV-2 positive group was equal to 1.17, and the SARS-CoV-2 positive risk in PCa patients using ADT was not significantly different from that in those not using ADT (P = 0.544). Moreover, no significant results concerning the beneficial effect of ADT on the rate of intensive care unit admission (RR = 1.04, P = 0.872) or death risk (RR = 1.23, P = 0.53) were found. However, PCa patients with a history of ADT use had a markedly higher COVID-19 hospitalization rate (RR = 1.31, P = 0.015) than those with no history of ADT use. These findings indicate that ADT use by PCa patients is associated with a high risk of hospitalization during infection with SARS-CoV-2. A large number of high quality studies are needed to confirm these results.

4.Clinical features of children with coronavirus disease 2019 Delta variant infection after vaccination with inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine.

OBJECTIVES:
To study the clinical features of children with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) Delta variant infection vaccinated or not vaccinated with inactivated severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) vaccine.
METHODS:
A total of 11 children with COVID-19 Delta variant infection who were vaccinated with inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine and were hospitalized in the designated hospital in Henan Province, China, from November 3 to December 17, 2021 were enrolled as the vaccinated group. Thirty-one children with COVID-19 Delta variant infection who were not vaccinated and were hospitalized during the same period were enrolled as the unvaccinated group. A retrospective analysis was performed on their epidemiological data, clinical features, and laboratory examination results.
RESULTS:
There was no significant difference in gender composition and disease classification between the two groups (P>0.05), and there was also no significant difference in the incidence rates of the clinical symptoms such as cough, expectoration, and fever between the two groups (P>0.05). No significant difference was found between the two groups in leukocyte count, lymphocyte percentage, alanine aminotransferase, and serum creatinine (P>0.05). Compared with the unvaccinated group, the vaccinated group had significantly lower levels of aspartate aminotransferase, lactate dehydrogenase, and creatine kinase-MB (P<0.05). There was no significant difference between the two groups in the proportion of children with elevated C-reactive protein or procalcitonin and the levels of peripheral blood cytokines (P>0.05). The vaccinated group had significantly lower counts of B lymphocytes and total T lymphocytes (CD3+) than the unvaccinated group (P<0.05). Compared with the unvaccinated group, the vaccinated group had a significantly higher positive rate of IgG on admission and at week 2 of the course of disease (P<0.05), as well as a significantly higher Ct value of nucleic acid at weeks 1 and 2 of the course of disease (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONS
Vaccination with inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine may reduce myocardial injury caused by SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant. For children with SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant infection after the vaccination, more attention should be paid to their immune function.

6.Impacts of smoking status on the clinical outcomes of coronary non-target lesions in patients with coronary heart disease: a single-center angiographic study.

BACKGROUND:
Coronary atherosclerotic plaque could go through rapid progression and induce adverse cardiac events. This study aimed to evaluate the impacts of smoking status on clinical outcomes of coronary non-target lesions.
METHODS:
Consecutive patients with coronary heart disease who underwent two serial coronary angiographies were included. All coronary non-target lesions were recorded at first coronary angiography and analyzed using quantitative coronary angiography at both procedures. Patients were grouped into non-smokers, quitters, and smokers according to their smoking status. Clinical outcomes including rapid lesion progression, lesion re-vascularization, and myocardial infarction were recorded at second coronary angiography. Multivariable Cox regression analysis was used to investigate the association between smoking status and clinical outcomes.
RESULTS:
A total of 1255 patients and 1670 lesions were included. Smokers were younger and more likely to be male compared with non-smokers. Increase in percent diameter stenosis was significantly lower (2.7 [0.6, 7.1] % vs. 3.5 [0.9, 8.9]%) and 3.4 [1.1, 7.7]%, P = 0.020) in quitters than those in smokers and non-smokers. Quitters tended to have a decreased incidence of rapid lesions progression (15.8% [76/482] vs. 21.6% [74/342] and 20.6% [89/431], P = 0.062), lesion re-vascularization (13.1% [63/482] vs. 15.5% [53/432] and 15.5% [67/431], P = 0.448), lesion-related myocardial infarction (0.8% [4/482] vs. 2.6% [9/342] and 1.4% [6/431], P = 0.110) and all-cause myocardial infarction (1.9% [9/482] vs. 4.1% [14/342] and 2.3% [10/431], P = 0.128) compared with smokers and non-smokers. In multivariable analysis, smoking status was not an independent predictor for rapid lesion progression, lesion re-vascularization, and lesion-related myocardial infarction except that a higher risk of all-cause myocardial infarction was observed in smokers than non-smokers (hazards ratio: 3.00, 95% confidence interval: 1.04-8.62, P = 0.042).
CONCLUSION
Smoking cessation mitigates the increase in percent diameter stenosis of coronary non-target lesions, meanwhile, smokers are associated with increased risk for all-cause myocardial infarction compared with non-smokers.
7.Effects of biocontrol strain BZJN1 and streptoprofen on physicochemical properties and bacteria structure of rhizosphere soil of Atractylodes macrocephala.

Soil microorganisms are one of the important biological indictors of soil quality and can reflct the comprehensive ecological environment characteristics of the soil. The research of soil microbial diversity is the key to know the ecological functions and balance with soil. In this paper, high-throughput sequencing on PCR-amplified 16 S rRNA gene V3-V4 fragments was used to determine the bacterial diversity in rhizosphere soil of A. macrocephala under the treatment with BZJN1 or streptoprofen. The results showed that there were no significant differences of the bacteria in A. macrocephala rhizosphere soil of the streptoprofen treatment group and the biocontrol BZJN1 treatment group. All the soil bacteria was classified into 25 categories,67 classes, 108 orders, 167 families and 271 generas, except some unidentified bacteria. Proteobacteria(30.7%-34.8%) was the dominant phylum, of which Alphaproteobacteria(16.8%-18.5%) was the dominant subgroup. Compared with the control group, the relative abundance of multiple phylums bacteria in the rhizosphere soil of A. macrocephala was significantly changed in the streptoprofen treatment group and the biocontrol BZJN1 treatment group. In addition, RDA analysis showed that there was connection with different environmental factors and microbial communities. The abundance of the three genera in the rhizosphere soil of A. macrocephala was significantly positively correlated with Invertase, Urease and AP. PICRUSt function prediction results showed that BZNJ1 could enhance some bacterial functions and promote the plant growth. Biocontrol is a new type of green and safety control pest method. BZNJ1 significantly enhances some bacterial functions on the basis of effectively preventing root rot of A. macrocephala and promoting plant growth, and has no significant effect on the soil bacterial community structure. All the results can provide theoretical support for popularization of BZNJ1.

8.Impact of type 2 diabetes mellitus on the progression and revascularization of coronary non-target lesions in patients with coronary heart disease.

Objective: To investigate the impact of type 2 diabetes mellitus on progression and revascularization of coronary non-target lesions in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods: From January 2010 to September 2014, we retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of patients with coronary heart disease who underwent two consecutive coronary angiographies at Fuwai Hospital. At least one coronary non-target lesion was recorded at the first procedure in these patients. Patients were grouped according to the diagnose of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Demographic features, risk factors of coronary heart disease, laboratory results as well as characteristics of coronary non-target lesions were collected at baseline (first coronary angiography) and follow-up (second coronary angiography). Lesion progression was defined by quantitative coronary angiography analysis. Lesions revascularization was recorded. Multivariable Cox regression analysis was used to define the impacts of diabetes mellitus on progression and revascularization of non-target lesions. Subgroup analysis in diabetic and non-diabetic groups were further performed. Receiver operating characteristics curve was used to identify the predictive value of HbA1c. Results: A total of 1 255 patients were included, and 1 003(79.9%) were male, age was(58.0±9.7) years old. And 486 patients were diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Follow-up time was (14.8±4.5) months. Compared with non-diabetic group, diabetic group were older with less male and had higher BMI index as well as higher prevalence of hypertension, dyslipidemia, prior myocardial infarction and prior percutaneous coronary intervention(all P<0.05). Diabetic patients also had higher level of white blood cells, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C-reactive protein, endothelin and HbA1c at both baseline and follow-up compared with non-diabetic patients (all P<0.01). There was no significant difference on progression of non-target lesions (20.0%(97/486) vs. 18.5%(142/769), P=0.512), revascularization of non-target lesions (13.2%(64/486) vs. 15.9%(122/769), P=0.190) and non-target lesion related myocardial infarction(1.9%(9/486) vs. 1.3%(10/769), P=0.436) between diabetic and non-diabetic patients. Multivariable Cox regression analysis revealed that diabetes mellitus was not an independent predictor for progression and revascularization of non-target lesions (Both P>0.05). Subgroup analysis in diabetic patients showed that baseline HbA1c level(HR=1.160, 95%CI 1.009-1.333, P=0.037) was an independent predictor for non-target lesion progression. Cut-off value of HbA1c was 6.5% (Area Under Curve(AUC) 0.57, specificity 88.7%; sensitivity 24.2%, P=0.046) by receiver operating characteristics curve. Patients with HbA1c level above 6.5% had 2.8 times higher risk of lesion progression compared with patients with HbA1c level below 6.5% (HR=2.838, 95%CI 1.505-5.349, P=0.001). Compared with non-diabetic patients, diabetic patients with HbA1c below 6.5% also had lower risk of lesion progression (HR=0.469, 95%CI 0.252-0.872, P=0.012). ST-segment elevated myocardial infarction was an independent predictor for revascularization of non-target lesions in diabetic patients. Conclusion: Type 2 diabetes mellitus is not an independent predictor for progression and revascularization of coronary non-target lesions in patients with coronary heart disease. However, elevated HbA1c level is a risk factor for progression of non-target lesion in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

9.Studies on constituents of Polygonum multiflorum extract and based on UPLC-Q-TOF-MS.

To explore the drug-induced constituents of Polygonum multiflorum extract (PM). This study was the first to study the drug-induced constituents in target organ liver. Agilent MassHunter qualitative analysis software and Metabolite ID software were applied for the analysis of retention time, exact relative molecular mass, primary and secondary mass spectrum information based on ultra performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-Q-TOF-MS) and targeted-MS/MS. By comparison with literature and standards, a total of 5 prototypes and 6 metabolites were identified or tentatively elucidated from the liver samples. In addition, the drug-induced constituents in plasma and PM were also analyzed in this study and 8 prototypes and 19 metabolites were detected from the plasma samples, while 30 compounds were detected from the extract of PM. Emodin oxidative acetylation metabolites, hydroxyl methylation metabolites, carboxylation glucuronidation metabolites and ketone glucuronidation metabolites in this study were first reported. Through the comparative analysis between the and constituents of PM, the study preliminarily revealed the drug-induced constituents (prototypes and metabolites) in liver and clarified the transfer process and transmutation rules of constituents in PM, blood and liver, which would further deepen our understanding on constituents of PM .
10.Correlation Study Between Serum Level of Cardiac M2-muscarinic Receptor Autoantibody and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy

Objectives: To study serum level of M2-muscarinic receptor autoantibody (M2-AAb) in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) patients with its relationship to relevant clinical parameters. Methods: Our research included in 2 groups: HCM group, 133 patients and they were divided into 3 subgroups:Obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HOCM) subgroup, 72, Latent obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (LHOCM) subgroup, 22 and Non-obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (NOCM) subgroup, 39; since there was no obstruction of left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT) in LHOCM and NOCM patients at resting, LHOCM and NOCM patients were combined as LHOCM+NOCM subgroup, 61 in comparison with HOCM subgroup. And Control group, 40 subjects had no organic heart disease and autoimmune diseases which were confirmed by 12 lead ECG, transthoracic echocardiography and routine hematological tests, they were not using β-blockers, glucocorticoids and immune-suppressants. Serum levels of M2-AAb were examined by ELISA, the relationship between M2-AAb and relevant clinical parameters were studied. Results: Compared with Control group, HCM group had increased serum level of M2-AAb [22.91 (17.21, 29.64) ng/ml] vs (17.14±5.66) ng/ml, P<0.01; M2-AAb was similar among HOCM, LHOCM and NOCM subgroups; M2-AAb in female patients were higher than male, P=0.001. Further investigation presented that the patients with family history of sudden death had the higher M2-AAb, P<0.05; patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) or left atrial diameter (LAD)≥50 mm or moderate to severe mitral regurgitation (MR) had the higher M2-AAb than those without such problems, all P<0.05. In HCM group, log M2-AAb was positively related to resting LVOT gradient (r=0.178, P=0.040); in HOCM subgroup, log M2-AAb was marginal positively related to resting LVOT gradient (r=0.224, P=0.058). Conclusions: Serum M2-AAb was elevated in HCM patients; gender, family history of sudden death may affect M2-AAb level; patients combining AF or LAD≥50 mm or moderate-severe MR had the higher M2-AAb and it was related to resting LVOT gradient.
