Objective:To explore the diagnostic value of improved 18F-prostate specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-1007 PET-CT score (referred to as PSMA score) and multi parameter magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) prostate imaging reporting and data system (PI-RADS) score (referred to as PI-RADS score) for primary prostate cancer (PCa). Methods:A retrospective case series study was conducted. The imaging and clinical data of 134 suspected PCa patients underwent 18F-PSMA-1007 PET-CT and mpMRI examinations at Shanxi Province Cancer Hospital from July 2018 to May 2023 were collected. Pathological diagnosis showed 92 cases of PCa and 42 cases of benign prostatic lesions. The clinical and imaging parameters, as well as the distribution of patients with two scores, were compared between the two groups. The blind diagnosis of benign and malignant lesions was made based on the improved PSMA score (dividing 1 point into 1a and 1b points, 1b, 2 and 3 points were diagnosed as PCa), PI-RADS score (3, 4 and 5 points were diagnosed as PCa) and the combination of the two (diagnosed as PCa when either PSMA score ≥ 1b point or PI-RADS score ≥ 4 points was met). The indicators of the diagnostic efficiency of PSMA score, PI-RADS score and the combination of the two for PCa were calculated. Using pathological results as the gold standard, the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve of PSMA score, PI-RADS score and the combination of the two for diagnosing PCa was drawn, and the diagnostic efficiency of the 3 methods was analyzed. Results:The age, serum prostate-specific antigen, and maximum standard uptake value of PET-CT in the PCa group were higher than those in the benign prostatic lesion group, and the differences were statistically significant (all P < 0.05). The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, false negative rate, false positive rate, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value of PSMA score for diagnosing PCa were 91.30% (84/92), 80.95% (34/42), 88.06% (118/134), 8.70% (8/92), 19.05% (8/42), 91.30% (84/92), and 80.95% (34/42), respectively; those of PI-RADS score were 93.48% (86/92), 61.90% (26/42), 83.58% (112/134), 61.90% (26/42), 38.10% (16/42), 84.31% (86/102), and 81.25% (26/32), respectively; those of the combination of the two were 97.83% (90/92), 88.10% (37/42), 94.78% (127/134), 2.17% (2/92), 11.90% (5/42), 94.74% (90/95), and 94.87% (37/39), respectively. The differences in specificity, accuracy, false negative rate, and false positive rate among the 3 methods were statistically significant (all P < 0.05). ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve of PSMA score, PI-RADS score and the combination of the two for diagnosing PCa were 0.930 (95% CI: 0.872-0.967), 0.935 (95% CI: 0.826-0.939) and 0.959 (95% CI: 0.910-0.986), respectively, and the differences between each two methods were statistically significant (all P < 0.05); the sensitivity of PSMA score, PI-RADS score and the combination of the two was 90.11%, 89.13% and 98.09%, and the specificity was 90.48%, 90.48% and 92.09%. Conclusions:Compared with the PI-RADS score, the improved PSMA score can improve the specificity and accuracy of PCa diagnosis, and decrease the false negative and false positive rates; the diagnostic efficiency of the combination of the two is superior.

Herald of Medicine 2023;42(12):1808-1812
Female patients with schizophrenia exhibit a slower rate of absorption and excretion, leading to higher blood levels of antipsychotic drugs in their bodies and consequently causing more drug side effects.Women also have different levels of estrogen at different stages of life, and estrogen improves the efficacy of antipsychotic drugs by increasing dopamine D2receptor sensitivity. It is necessary to adjust the dosage of antipsychotic medication based on the level of estrogen, while also monitoring indicators such as blood glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol, and prolactin to minimize medication side effects.Nevertheless, the current literatures do not provide specific treatment plans for schizophrenia tailored to different genders, which is not the optimal treatment strategy for female patients. This review aims to summarize and categorize the differences in prescription, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, efficacy, and side effects in female patients with schizophrenia, and to provide scientific recommendations for drug treatment strategies in different stages of a woman's life(premenopausal, pregnancy, lactation, postmenopausal).

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2023;43(9):977-981
As a diagnostic method to guide the treatment of sinew/fascia diseases, jingjin (muscle regions of meridians) differentiation is an important component of syndrome differentiation system of acupuncture and moxibustion. In clinical practice, because of the limitations of the ideological guidance of the holistic view, the systemic and dialectical thinking and the syndrome element collection, the system of diagnosis and treatment of sinew/fascia diseases is not comprehensive. Through combing the origin of the holistic view of jingjin, the paper expounds the differentiation framework of sinew/fascia diseases from 4 aspects of differentiation, i.e. the location of disease, etiology, nature of disease and condition of disease. It suggests to construct jingjin differentiation system by taking the holistic ideas as the core, the syndrome element research as the common method and the evidence-based medicine as the theoretical basis so that the thinking of syndrome differentiation and the diagnostic approaches based on jingjin theory can be enriched.

Objective: This cross-sectional investigation aimed to determine the incidence, clinical characteristics, prognosis, and related risk factors of olfactory and gustatory dysfunctions related to infection with the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron strain in mainland China. Methods: Data of patients with SARS-CoV-2 from December 28, 2022, to February 21, 2023, were collected through online and offline questionnaires from 45 tertiary hospitals and one center for disease control and prevention in mainland China. The questionnaire included demographic information, previous health history, smoking and alcohol drinking, SARS-CoV-2 vaccination, olfactory and gustatory function before and after infection, other symptoms after infection, as well as the duration and improvement of olfactory and gustatory dysfunction. The self-reported olfactory and gustatory functions of patients were evaluated using the Olfactory VAS scale and Gustatory VAS scale. Results: A total of 35 566 valid questionnaires were obtained, revealing a high incidence of olfactory and taste dysfunctions related to infection with the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron strain (67.75%). Females(χ2=367.013, P<0.001) and young people(χ2=120.210, P<0.001) were more likely to develop these dysfunctions. Gender(OR=1.564, 95%CI: 1.487-1.645), SARS-CoV-2 vaccination status (OR=1.334, 95%CI: 1.164-1.530), oral health status (OR=0.881, 95%CI: 0.839-0.926), smoking history (OR=1.152, 95%CI=1.080-1.229), and drinking history (OR=0.854, 95%CI: 0.785-0.928) were correlated with the occurrence of olfactory and taste dysfunctions related to SARS-CoV-2(above P<0.001). 44.62% (4 391/9 840) of the patients who had not recovered their sense of smell and taste also suffered from nasal congestion, runny nose, and 32.62% (3 210/9 840) suffered from dry mouth and sore throat. The improvement of olfactory and taste functions was correlated with the persistence of accompanying symptoms(χ2=10.873, P=0.001). The average score of olfactory and taste VAS scale was 8.41 and 8.51 respectively before SARS-CoV-2 infection, but decreased to3.69 and 4.29 respectively after SARS-CoV-2 infection, and recovered to 5.83and 6.55 respectively at the time of the survey. The median duration of olfactory and gustatory dysfunctions was 15 days and 12 days, respectively, with 0.5% (121/24 096) of patients experiencing these dysfunctions for more than 28 days. The overall self-reported improvement rate of smell and taste dysfunctions was 59.16% (14 256/24 096). Gender(OR=0.893, 95%CI: 0.839-0.951), SARS-CoV-2 vaccination status (OR=1.334, 95%CI: 1.164-1.530), history of head and facial trauma(OR=1.180, 95%CI: 1.036-1.344, P=0.013), nose (OR=1.104, 95%CI: 1.042-1.171, P=0.001) and oral (OR=1.162, 95%CI: 1.096-1.233) health status, smoking history(OR=0.765, 95%CI: 0.709-0.825), and the persistence of accompanying symptoms (OR=0.359, 95%CI: 0.332-0.388) were correlated with the recovery of olfactory and taste dysfunctions related to SARS-CoV-2 (above P<0.001 except for the indicated values). Conclusion: The incidence of olfactory and taste dysfunctions related to infection with the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron strain is high in mainland China, with females and young people more likely to develop these dysfunctions. Active and effective intervention measures may be required for cases that persist for a long time. The recovery of olfactory and taste functions is influenced by several factors, including gender, SARS-CoV-2 vaccination status, history of head and facial trauma, nasal and oral health status, smoking history, and persistence of accompanying symptoms.

OBJECTIVES:
To study the clinical efficacy of ultrasound-guided endoscopic retrograde appendicitis therapy in children with appendix-related chronic abdominal pain.
METHODS:
A retrospective analysis was performed on the medical data of 30 children with the chief complaint of chronic abdominal pain who were admitted from August 2019 to May 2021. All the children were found to have inflammation of the appendix or intracavitary stool and fecalith by ultrasound and underwent ultrasound-guided endoscopic retrograde appendicitis therapy. The medical data for analysis included clinical manifestations, endoscopic findings, white blood cell count, neutrophil percentage, length of hospital stay, and cure rate.
RESULTS:
Among the 30 children with chronic abdominal pain, there were 13 boys (43%) and 17 girls (57%), with a mean age of (9±3) years (range 3-15 years) at diagnosis. The median duration of the disease was 12 months, and the median length of hospital stay was 3 days. The children had a median white blood cell count of 6.7×109/L and a neutrophil percentage of 50%±13%. Fecalith and a large amount of feces were flushed out of the appendix cavity for 21 children (70%) during surgery. The follow-up rate was 97% (29/30), and the median follow-up time was 11 months (range 5-26 months). Of the 29 children, abdominal pain completely disappeared in 27 children (93%).
CONCLUSIONS
Ultrasound-guided endoscopic retrograde appendicitis therapy is effective in children with chronic abdominal pain caused by feces or fecalith in the appendix cavity.

Objective:To explore the cause of death of 2 suspected Yunnan sudden unexplained death (YNSUD) cases in Dayao County, Yunnan Province. Methods:The field epidemiological investigation and autopsy of 2 cases of YNSUD in Dayao County from June 15 to 20, 2020 were conducted; and blood and tissue samples were collected for qualitative analysis of common poisons and drugs. Results:The areas where the two cases were located were all seriously ill villages with a history of YNSUD, and the time of death occurred in the onset season of YNSUD. There was no blood relationship between the 2 cases, no obvious abnormal symptoms before death, no special diet, no history of exposure to pesticides and other toxic chemicals, and the test results of common poisons were all negative. Autopsy pathological examination results showed that case 1 died of acute cardiac dysfunction caused by sudden acute myocardial infarction of coronary heart disease, and case 2 died of central respiratory and circulatory failure caused by spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage. Conclusions:The two cases are excluded from YNSUD through autopsy, and the cause of death is determined. It is suggested that emergency response should be taken as soon as possible for YNSUD cases, and autopsy should be actively carried out to clarify the cause of death from a pathological point of view.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2022;38(7):1072-1081
Aim To investigate the mechanism of eata- pol (CAT) inhibiting differentiation and glyeolysis of Thl7 eel Is through miR-143-3p.Method The peripheral hloorl CD4 ∗ T eells of HA patients were obtained to deteet the expression of miR-143-3p and the mRNA levels of key glycolytic enzymes, ineluding glucose transporter 1 ( Glutl ) , hexokinase 2 ( HK2 ) , pyruvate kinase 2 (PKM2) , laetate dehydrogenase A ( LDHA).The differentiation of Thl7 eells was induced in vitro, and the ShRNA/lentivirus was applied to achieve the overexpression or knockdown of miR- 143-3 p.Un-transfected eells were divided into control group and CAT group (20, 40, 80 mg • L 1 ) , and transfected eells were divided into four groups: negative control group, miR-143-3p inhibitor group, miR- 143-3p mimies group, miR-143-3p inhibitor + CAT group. The percentage of Thl7 eells was deteeted by flow cytometry, and the level of IL-17A was detected by EL1SA.Quantitative real-time PCR was used to detect the mRNA expression of miR-143-3p and key glycolytic enzymes, and the levels of pyruvate and lactate were also detected. Results The mRNA expression of miR-143-3p in RA peripheral blood CD4 ∗ T cells was negatively correlated with disease severity ( DAS28 ) , transcription factor ROR-yt, and the key glycolytic enzymes Glutl/HK2/LDHA.Compared with negative control group, the down-expression of miR-143-3p markedly elevated the mRNA expression of ROR-yt, Glutl, HK2, LDHA, and the levels of IL-17A, pyruvate, lactate.Catalpol groups significantly up-regula- ted the expression of miR-143-3p, decreased the mRNA expression of HK2/LDHA and the levels of pvru- vate/lactate, and inhibited Thl7 cells differentiation.Compared with miR - 1 4 3 - 3 p inhibitor group , catapol could significantly inhibit the abnormal up-regulated of HK2/LDHA mRNA relative expression, pyruvate/lactate levels and the abnormal differentiation of Thl7 eells. Conclusion MiR-143-3p inhibits the differentiation and glycolysis of Thl7 cells.Catalpol could sup-press the glycolysis and differentiation of Thl7 eells by regulating mill-143-3p.
