To clarify the structural characteristics of virus communities carried by primates in the Guangdong region, and evaluate the risk of the important zoonotic virus monkeypox virus(MPXV)being introduced into China through artificially do-mesticated primates, this study conducted metagenomic research on artificially domesticated primates and performed screening for MPXV.Primate samples were collected from 20 wildlife rescue centers or zoos in 14 prefecture level cities in Guangdong Province, and the structural characteristics of virus communities carried by artificially domesticated primates were identified through Illumina sequencing.Fluorescence quantitative PCR detection of MPXV excluded the risk of MPXV being introduced through artificially domesticated primates in Guangdong Prov-ince.A total of 489 oral and pharyngeal swabs and feces from primates were collected.High-throughput sequencing indicated that the viral group structure in the feces of artificially domesti-cated primates in the Guangdong region is complex and shows regional differences.Members of Alphaflexiviridae and Vir-gaviridae,followed by members of Parvoviridae and Genomo-viridae,had the highest abundance.Subsequently, fluorescence quantitative PCR results showed that all primates from wildlife rescue centers or zoos in Guangdong Province were MPXV neg-ative.This study provides the first description of the complex viral structure characteristics of artificially domesticated primates in the Guangdong region, and elucidates the differences in vi-ral communities among artificially domesticated primates in different regions. Our findings suggested that the risk of zoonotic diseases caused by artificially domesticated primates in Guangdong Province is extremely low,and the risk of MPXV being in-troduced into China through artificially domesticated primates in Guangdong Province is zero.

Rosae Radix et Rhizoma is a herbal medicine in a variety of famous Chinese patent medicines, while the quality standard for this medicine remains to be developed due to the insufficient research on the quality of Rosae Radix et Rhizoma from different sources. Therefore, this study comprehensively analyzed the components in Rosae Radix et Rhizoma of different sources from the aspects of extract, component category content, identification based on thin-lay chromatography, active component content determination, and fingerprint, so as to improve the quality control. The results showed that the content of chemical components varied in the samples of different sources, while there was little difference in the chemical composition among the samples. The content of components in the roots of Rosa laevigata was higher than that in the other two species, and the content of components in the roots was higher than that in the stems. The fingerprints of triterpenoids and non-triterpenoids were established, and the content of five main triterpenoids including multiflorin, rosamultin, myrianthic acid, rosolic acid, and tormentic acid in Rosae Radix et Rhizoma was determined. The results were consistent with those of major component categories. In conclusion, the quality of Rosae Radix et Rhizoma is associated with the plant species, producing area, and medicinal parts. The method established in this study lays a foundation for improving the quality standard of Rosae Radix et Rhizoma and provides data support for the rational use of the stem.

Objective:To evaluate the effects of a booster immunization with a candidate tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid and acellular pertussis combined vaccine (Tdap) in a rat model after primary vaccination with diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis and Sabin strain inactivated poliovirus combined vaccine (DTacP-sIPV) or diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis, inactivated poliovirus and haemophilus type b combined vaccine (DTacP-IPV/Hib) for further preclinical study. Methods:Wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups and respectively immunized with a self-developed DTacP-sIPV, a marketed DTacP-IPV/Hib and normal saline at 0, 1, and 2 months of age. Serum levels of antibody against each component in each group were detected before immunization and after each dose. A booster dose of the candidate Tdap was given 10 months after primary immunization. Serum levels of antibody against each component in each group were detected before, 1 month and 6 months after the booster immunization. Results:One month after three doses of primary immunization, the geometric mean titers (GMT, Log2) of antibodies against diphtheria toxoid (DT), tetanus toxoid (TT), pertussis toxin (PT), filamentous hemagglutinin (FHA) and pertactin (PRN) in the DTacP-sIPV group were 17.41, 18.34, 18.11, 19.93 and 13.91, respectively, and the seroconversion rates of these components all reached 100%. Ten months after primary immunization, the GMTs of antibodies against DT, TT, PT, FHA and PRN decreased to 15.17, 14.26, 13.60, 14.51 and 10.39, respectively, and the seroconversion rates remained above 89%. One month after booster immunization, the GMTs of antibodies against DT, TT, PT and FHA in the DTacP-sIPV and DTacP-IPV/Hib groups were 16.49/17.26, 16.80/17.63, 16.70/17.74 and 18.48/19.26, respectively, and the seroconversion rates of these components all reached 100% with no significant difference between the two groups ( P>0.05). The GMTs of anti-PRN antibody in the DTacP-sIPV and DTacP-IPV/Hib groups were 13.07 and 11.00, and the seroconversion rates were 100% and 88%, which were higher in the DTacP-sIPV group than in the DTacP-IPV/Hib group ( P<0.05). Six months after booster immunization, the GMTs of antibodies against DT, TT, PT, FHA and PRN in the DTacP-sIPV and DTacP-IPV/Hib groups decreased to 15.74/14.87, 15.07/15.14, 14.84/15.73, 16.62/16.37 and 11.44/9.96, respectively, and the seroconversion rates remained above 88%. Conclusions:Booster vaccination with the candidate Tdap vaccine induces humoral immune response following primary immunization with DTacP-sIPV or DTacP-IPV/Hib in the Wistar rat model, while the antibody titer decreases with time.

Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy of autologous fat injection and conjunctival pedicled orbital septal fat grafting for infraorbital margin depression in young people. Methods:Fourty young patients with lower eyelid pouch and infraorbital margin depression with age of 20 to 40 years and average age of 30.6 yaers in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from September 2017 to September 2019 were enrolled. According to the surgical method, all patients were divided into 2 groups with 20 cases each. Group 1 underwent transconjunctival orbital septum fat reset. Group 2 underwent various autologous fat injection after proper amount of orbital septal fat being removed, including structural fat, fine-particle fat and nano-fat, performed in different parts and layers. The tear trough rating scale (TTRS) scores and patients' satisfaction at 1 year after operation between 2 groups were compared. Results:Compared with the preoperative TTRS scores, the differences in scores at 6 months and 1 year after surgery were statistically significant ( P<0.01). The scores between two groups were compared at 6 months and 1 year respectively after the operation, and the difference were both statistically significant ( P<0.01). 6 months after the operation, the TTRS scores including four items were carefully compared between the two groups. It showed that the reduction of tear groove depth ( P<0.05), pigmentation ( P<0.01) and wrinkle ( P<0.01) in group 2 were more obvious than those in group 1. The percentage of satisfaction in group 2 (95%) was higher than that in the group 1 (70%), and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.01). Conclusions:For infraorbital margin depression of young people, after proper amount of orbital septal fat being removed, various free fats graft injection into different parts and layers could obtain better treatment results, reducing not only the depth of the tear groove, but also periorbital pigmentation and fine wrinkles.

The L(+)-form of tartaric acid (L(+)-TA) exists extensively in nature, and is widely used in the food, chemical, textile, building, and pharmaceutical industries (Su et al., 2001). The main method for L(+)-TA production is microbial transformation by cis-epoxysuccinate hydrolase (CESH), which can catalyze the asymmetric hydrolysis of cis-epoxysuccinic acid or its salts to TA or tartrate (Bao et al., 2019). Seventeen species containing CESH have been isolated so far. However, most species for L(+)-TA production have been reported from bacteria (Xuan and Feng, 2019). The only fungus isolated from soil by our lab recently, that could be used as catalyst for the process under acidic condition, is Aspergillus niger WH-2 (Bao et al., 2020). In order to find strains with new characteristics, this study attempted to isolate a new CESH source from fungi and investigate its application value.

Objective To analyze satisfaction with follow-up management of HIV/AIDS cases conducted by Community Health Service Center (CHS) and related factors in Hongkou district, Shanghai. Methods Out of 302 HIV/AIDS cases followed up by CHS in Hongkou district from 2012 to 2016, 263 HIV/AIDS cases were recruited to participate in a cross-sectional study assessed by self-designed questionnaire-based interview during October 1, 2016 and October 20, 2016, with efficiency of 87.1%. Information of basic characteristics including sociodemographic, routes of infection, CD4 +T cell counts, diagnose of AIDS and status of receiving ART were collected, as well as satisfaction with follow-up management conducted by CHS including service professionalism, service attitude, service environment, referral service, privacy protection, health education, psychological support, and care and assistance. Factors related to satisfaction were analyzed using multiple binary logistic regression. Results Among 263 HIV/AIDS cases, the average age was 42.0 ± 13.5, 93.2% (245 cases) were male and the proportion of overall satisfaction was 72.2%(190 cases). Out of 8 items of satisfaction, service attitude and health education got the highest score with a total number of 235 (89.4%) answering"very satisfied"or"satisfied", while care and assistance got the lowest score with a total number of 69 (26.2%) answering"dissatisfied"or"very dissatisfied". Compared to HIV/AIDS local residents and followed up by CHS<12 months, those who were non-local residents and followed up by CHS ≥12 months were more likely to be satisfied, the OR (95%CI) were 2.66 (1.30-5.44) and 2.52 (1.01-6.29), respectively. Compared to HIV/AIDS ≤30 years old and receiving ART, those who were 31-50 years or>50 years old and not receiving ART were less likely to be satisfied, the OR (95%CI) were 0.36 (0.15-0.89), 0.32 (0.10-0.97) and 0.11 (0.01-0.90), respectively. Conclusion Satisfaction with follow-up management conducted by CHS in Hongkou district is relatively high. Age, residence, status of receiving ART and cumulative time of following up by CHS are significantly associated with satisfaction, suggesting that CHS should improve their professional abilities during follow-up management, as well as be more targeted and focus on different aspects.
