Objective:
To understand the current situation and related factors of screening myopia among students in special education schools, so as to provide evidence for promoting the health level of this population.
Methods:
From November 2021 to December 2023, a total of 281 students from 6 special education schools in 5 districts of Tianjin were selected by cluster random sampling method for computer optometry visual acuity examination for non ciliary paralysis and questionnaire survey. Multiple Logistic regression was performed to analyze the influencing factors of screening myopia among special education students.
Results:
The screening myopia detection rate among these special education students in Tianjin was 27.0%, and the screening myopia detection rates of students with autism, developmental delays, and intellectual disabilities were 22.4%, 12.5%, and 33.0%, respectively. The degree of myopia increased with age ( χ 2 trend =22.65, P <0.01). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that age(10-13 years old: OR =5.40, 14-17 years old: OR =8.40, 18-23 years old: OR =6.02), accommodation(non resident: OR =0.29), daily mobile phone usage ≥2 hours ( OR =2.37), and daily computer/tablet usage ≥2 hours ( OR =2.70) were the risk factors for screening myopia among special education students ( P <0.05).
Conclusions
The detection rate and degree of screening myopia increase with age in special education students. Prolonged screen time exposure is a primary risk factor for screening myopia in special education students. Effective myopia prevention and control strategies should be designed according to the characteristics of special education students.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2025;46(2):162-166
Objective:
To investigate the association of physical activity and screen time with overweight and obesity among children and adolescents with special needs in Tianjin, so as to provide scientific evidence for childhood obesity prevention and intervention measures in the population.
Methods:
From January 2022 to June 2024, 296 children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders aged 2-18 years were recruited from special education schools and institutions in Tianjin. Height and weight were measured, and a standardized questionnaire was used to assess physical activity and screen time. Binary Logistic regression analysis was carried out to investigate the association of physical activity and screen time with overweight and obesity.
Results:
The prevalence of overweight and obesity among children and adolescents with special needs in Tianjin were 17.2% and 21.6%, respectively, and the combined prevalence of overweight and obesity was 38.9%. The median of moderatetovigorous physical activity (MVPA) time was 0.20 h/d, and physical activity sufficiency rate was 7.8%. The median of screen time was 1.79 h/d, and the screen time compliance rate was 68.2%. The binary Logistic regression results showed that lower levels of MVPA time and increased screen time were associated with a higher risk of overweight and obesity among children and adolescents with special needs [OR(95%CI)=1.80(1.06-3.07), 2.40(1.42-4.07),P<0.05].
Conclusions
Insufficient physical activity and excessive screen time are associated with an increased risk of overweight and obesity among children and adolescents with special needs. Therefore, comprehensive intervention measures should be implemented as early as possible to prevent and reduce the incidence of overweight and obesity in this population.

Objective:To investigate the accuracy and feasibility of applying rapid immunohistochemistry(IHC) with CK5/6 antibodies in prostate biopsy tissues to assist frozen pathology diagnosis. Methods:The data of 41 patients who underwent prostate puncture and frozen tissue rapid IHC with CK5/6 antibody in Beijing Hospital from October 2022 to April 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. The median age of the patients was 76 (69, 79) years old, and the median PSA value was 12.37 (7.07, 26.17) ng/ml.The Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System (PI-RADS) scores of the target lesions were all ≥3. The PI-RADS score of 9 patients(21.95%) was 3, 15 (36.59%) was 4, and 17(41.46%) was 5. The median diameter of the lesions in the MRI examination was 1.40 (1.09, 2.20) cm.Fourteen lesions (34.14%) were located in the migratory zone, 23 (56.10%) were located in the peripheral zone, and 4 (9.76%) involved both peripheral and migratory zone lesions. Transperineal cognitive fusion targeted combined systematic biopsy was used, and intraoperatively, 1 additional needle was taken from each of the target and non-target areas for frozen pathology section, and hematoxylin eosin(HE) staining and rapid IHC staining with CK5/6 antibody was performed, then the frozen remaining tissue was HE staining and CK5/6 IHC staining. Data such as HE and rapid IHC results of frozen pathology sections and HE and IHC results of routine sections of the frozen remaining tissues, International Society of Urological Pathology (ISUP) grading groupings(GG), and actual diagnostic results of targeted combined systematic puncture were recorded. Using the routine IHC results of the same needle tissue as the gold standard, the sensitivity and positive predictive value of applying rapid IHC frozen pathology to diagnose prostate cancer and the accuracy of its pathological GG were analyzed. Results:Among the 41 patients, a total of 35 cases were diagnosed with prostate cancer(PCa) by HE staining in frozen section of target tissue, with a positivity rate of 85.37%(35/41). Among these, there were 17 cases (48.57%) in ISUP GG 1, 8 cases (22.86%) in GG 2, 4 cases (11.43%) in GG 3, and 6 cases (17.14%) in GG 4 to 5. In addition, a total of 35 cases were diagnosed with PCa by HE staining in frozen remaining section of target tissue, with a positivity rate of 85.37%(35/41). Among these, there were 17 cases (48.57%) in ISUP GG 1, 8 cases (22.86%) in GG 2, 4 cases (11.43%) in GG 3, and 6 cases (17.14%) in GG 4 to 5. The results of rapid IHC of target tissue: 35 cases were negative for CK5/6 expression and 6 cases were positive. The results of routine IHC of target tissue: 35 cases were negative for CK5/6 expression and 6 cases were positive. The results of rapid IHC of non-target tissue: 12 cases were negative for CK5/6 expression and 29 cases were positive. The results of routine IHC of non-target tissue: 12 cases were negative for CK5/6 expression and 29 cases were positive. Thirty-five cases of target tissue rapid IHC diagnosis of PCa were in complete agreement with routine IHC diagnosis, with a false-positive rate of 0, a sensitivity of 100.00% (35/35) and a positive predictive value of 100.00% (35/35). Twelve cases of non-target tissue rapid IHC diagnosis of PCa were in complete agreement with routine IHC diagnosis, with a false-positive rate of 0, a sensitivity of 100.00% (35/35), and a positive predictive value of 100.00% (12/12).Conclusions:The preliminarily study results confirmed that the application of rapid IHC with CK5/6 antibodies in prostate biopsy tissues assisted frozen pathology diagnosis with high accuracy, but the reliability of rapid IHC technology in assisting frozen pathological diagnosis during puncture surgery still needs further validation through large sample size prospective studies.

Aim To investigate the impact of Cinobu-facini on the proliferation, invasion, and apoptosis of HepG2 cells and the underlying mechanism. Methods The proliferation of HepG2 cells was assessed using the CCK-8 method following treatment with Cinobufaci-ni.The invasion capability of HepG2 cells was evalua-ted through Transwell assay after exposure to Cinobufa-cini.The apoptosis rates of HepG2 cells post Cinobufa-cini intervention were measured using flow cytometry, and the expression levels of VEGF in the culture medi-um of HepG2 cells were determined using enzyme-linked immunoassay.Furthermore,qRT-PCR and Western blot analyses were conducted to assess the im-pact of Cinobufacini on mRNA and protein expression levels related to the CXCL5/FOXD1/VEGF pathway. The interaction between CXCL5 and FOXD1 was inves-tigated via co-immunoprecipitation.Results Cinobufa-cini treatment led to a gradual decrease in HepG2 cell viability in a dose-dependent manner compared to the control group(P<0.05).Moreover,Cinobufacini sig-nificantly suppressed HepG2 cell invasion(P<0.05)while enhancing cell apoptosis(P<0.05).Notably,Cinobufacini exhibited inhibitory effects on the CX-CL5/FOXD1/VEGF pathway,as evidenced by re-duced expression of related mRNA and proteins(P<0.05).FOXD1 was identified as the binding site of CXCL5.Overexpression of CXCL5 resulted in in-creased proliferation and VEGF secretion by HepG2 cells(P<0.05),and increased expression of FOXD1 and VEGF(P<0.05).However,Cinobufacini inter-vention effectively inhibited liver cancer cell prolifera-tion and invasion(P<0.05),promoted apoptosis(P<0.05),reduced VEGF secretion by HepG2 cells(P<0.05),and downregulated the expression of CXCL5 and FOXD1 in HepG2 cells(P<0.05);but com-pared with the unexpressed group of Cinobufacini, its ability to inhibit cell activity was weakened(P<0.05),and its ability to inhibit the expression of CX-CL5,FOXD1,and VEGF was weakened(P<0.05).Conclusion Cinobufacini may inhibit HepG2 cell pro-liferation and invasion and promote HepG2 cell apopto-sis by regulating the CXCL5/FOXD1/VEGF pathway.

Objective:To evaluate the diagnostic efficacy and practicality of the Jaundice color card (JCard) as a screening tool for neonatal jaundice. Methods:Following the standards for reporting of diagnostic accuracy studies (STARD) statement, a multicenter prospective study was conducted in 9 hospitals in China from October 2019 to September 2021. A total of 845 newborns who were admitted to the hospital or outpatient department for liver function testing due to their own diseases. The inclusion criteria were a gestational age of ≥35 weeks, a birth weight of ≥2 000 g, and an age of ≤28 days. The neonate′s parents used the JCard to measure jaundice at the neonate′s cheek. Within 2 hours of the JCard measurement, transcutaneous bilirubin (TcB) was measured with a JH20-1B device and total serum bilirubin (TSB) was detected. The Pearson′s correlation analysis, Bland-Altman plots and the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve were used for statistic analysis. Results:Out of the 854 newborns, 445 were male and 409 were female; 46 were born at 35-36 weeks of gestational age and 808 were born at ≥37 weeks of gestational age. Additionally, 432 cases were aged 0-3 days, 236 cases were aged 4-7 days, and 186 cases were aged 8-28 days. The TSB level was (227.4±89.6) μmol/L, with a range of 23.7-717.0 μmol/L. The JCard level was (221.4±77.0) μmol/L and the TcB level was (252.5±76.0) μmol/L. Both the JCard and TcB values showed good correlation ( r=0.77 and 0.80, respectively) and agreements (96.0% (820/854) and 95.2% (813/854) of samples fell within the 95% limits of agreement, respectively) with TSB. The JCard value of 12 had a sensitivity of 0.93 and specificity of 0.75 for identifying a TSB ≥205.2?μmol/L, and a sensitivity of 1.00 and specificity of 0.35 for identifying a TSB ≥342.0?μmol/L. The TcB value of 205.2?μmol/L had a sensitivity of 0.97 and specificity of 0.60 for identifying TSB levels of 205.2 μmol/L, and a sensitivity of 1.00 and specificity of 0.26 for identifying TSB levels of 342.0 μmol/L. The areas under the ROC curve (AUC) of JCard for identifying TSB levels of 153.9, 205.2, 256.5, and 342.0 μmol/L were 0.96, 0.92, 0.83, and 0.83, respectively. The AUC of TcB were 0.94, 0.91, 0.86, and 0.87, respectively. There were both no significant differences between the AUC of JCard and TcB in identifying TSB levels of 153.9 and 205.2 μmol/L (both P>0.05). However, the AUC of JCard were both lower than those of TcB in identifying TSB levels of 256.5 and 342.0 μmol/L (both P<0.05). Conclusions:JCard can be used to classify different levels of bilirubin, but its diagnostic efficacy decreases with increasing bilirubin levels. When TSB level are ≤205.2 μmol/L, its diagnostic efficacy is equivalent to that of the JH20-1B. To prevent the misdiagnosis of severe jaundice, it is recommended that parents use a low JCard score, such as 12, to identify severe hyperbilirubinemia (TSB ≥342.0 μmol/L).
