Abstract In recent years, the trend of getting chronic diseases at younger age has cast a shadow on the health of children around the world. In order to improve this situation, the paper analyzes the Guidelines on Physical Activity, Sedentary Behavior and Sleep for Children under 5 Years of Age, and explores its theoretical basis, behavioral norms and policy implementation. The present paper suggests to introduce the guidelines on health promotion for children under the age of 5 as soon as possible from the aspects of index system, publicity model and evaluation system, so as to provide impetus for the construction of "Healthy China".
