Journal of Apoplexy and Nervous Diseases 2025;42(5):459-466
Objective To investigate the current research status of ferroptosis in Parkinson disease in recent years. Methods CiteSpace was used to perform bibliometric and visual analyses of the articles on the mechanism of action of ferroptosis in Parkinson disease and related prevention and treatment measures in CNKI and Web of Science (WoS). Results A total of 92 articles from CNKI and 273 articles from WoS were included in this study. There was a tendency of increase in the number of articles published in China and globally. In CNKI, the keywords of ferroptosis, Parkinson's disease, oxidative stress, and traditional Chinese medicine were cited for many times, while in WoS, activation, cell death, alpha-synuclein, and Parkinson disease were cited for many times. There were 7 clusters of keywords in CNKI and 12 clusters in WoS. The top 5 authors (teams) in terms of the number of publications in CNKI were Yang Xinling; Zhang Lijie; Li Shaodan; Hao Mengdie; and Lu Ranran, while the top 5 authors (teams) in WoS were Ayton, Scott; Zhu, Meiling; Qu, Le; Devos, David; and Xie, Junxia. The number of team members in China was lower than that in foreign countries, mainly small team cooperation. As for the number of articles published by institutional cooperation, Qingdao University published the highest number of articles in CNKI, while the University of Melbourne published the highest number of articles in WoS. Biochemistry was the subject with the highest frequency, and there were intersections between disciplines. China was the core representative of state cooperation with the highest frequency. Conclusion The research on the association between Parkinson disease and ferroptosis mainly focuses on oxidative stress, neuroprotection, traditional Chinese medicine, and neuroinflammation, among which neuroprotection and neuroinflammation are the latest trends for development. Therefore, there may be more targeted therapies for neuroinflammation and therapies that stimulate neuroprotection in the future to alleviate pain and improve the quality of life of patients.

Objective:To compare the therapeutic effect between regular spherical corneal refractive therapy (CRT) and dual axis CRT on myopia with corneal astigmatism. Methods:A non-randomized controlled study was conducted.Aged 8 to 14 years old, forty-eight patients (48 eyes) wearing CRT orthokeratology enrolled from May, 2018 to December, 2018 in First Affiliated Hospital of Army Medical University were divided into dual axis CRT group (24 eyes) and spherical CRT group (24 eyes) according to their guardians' willingness. After 1-year follow-up, the visual acuity, eccentricity distance in treatment area, annual axial growth and the corneal punctate staining incidence of the two groups were compared. The study followed the Declaration of Helsinki, and was approved by an Ethics Committee of First Affiliated Hospital of Army Medical University (No.KY201975). Written informed consent was obtained from guardians prior to any examination. Results:The uncorrected visual acuity of the dual axis CRT group was better than that of the spherical CRT group at one week and one month after correction, and the differences were statistically significant (both at P<0.05), and there was no significant difference in uncorrected visual acuity between the two groups at other time points (all at P>0.05). The deviations of optical center in the spherical CRT group at each observation time points were significantly larger than that in the dual axis group (all at P<0.05), and the deviation was not obviously changed with time in both groups and there was no significant difference in deviation change between the two groups ( Ftime=2.301, P=0.074). The eccentricity was mainly in horizontal direction in spherical CRT group. The median annual axial growth was 0.12 (0.10, 0.45)mm in the dual axis CRT group and 0.14 (0.10, 0.46)mm in the spherical CRT group, with no significant difference between the two groups ( Z=0.248, P=0.804). There was 4.2%(1/24) of the patients having grade Ⅲ-Ⅳ corneal punctate staining in the dual axis CRT group, and 25.0%(6/24) in the regular spherical CRT group, showing significant difference between the two groups ( χ2=4.180, P=0.049). Conclusions:For the treatment of myopia with astigmatism, dual axis CRT shows better centricity and safety than spherical CRT.

Objective To investigate whether inhibiting the expression of typeⅠ collagen gene is one of the mechanisms of action of electroacupuncture in improving knee osteoarthritis. Methods Forty male adult SD rats were randomized into normal, model, medication and electroacupuncture group, 10 rats each. A rat model of MIA-induced knee osteoarthritis was made by injecting monomer sodium iodoacetate (MIA) and driving rat movement. After model making, the medication group received an oral gavage of celecoxib dissolved in 10% DMSO and the electroacupuncture group, electroacupuncture at points Zusanli and Yanglingquan. Pain thresholds and the levels of cartilage expression of typeⅠ collagen mRNA were compared between various groups of rats before and after treatment. Results There was a statistically significant difference in pain threshold between the model, medication or electroacupuncture group of rats and the normal group after model making (P<0.01) and between the medication or electroacupuncture group of rats and the model group before sacrifice (P<0.01). There was no statistically significant difference in pain threshold between the medication and andelectroacupuncture groups of rats before sacrifice (P>0.05). There was a statistically significant difference in the expression of typeⅠ collagen mRNA between the model, medication or electroacupuncture group of rats and the normal group (P<0.01) and between the medication or electroacupuncture group of rats and the model group before sacrifice (P<0.01). There was no statistically significant difference in the expression of typeⅠ collagen mRNA between the electroacupuncture and medication groups of rats before sacrifice (P>0.05).Conclusion The mechanisms of actions of electroacupuncture and medication in treating knee osteoarthritis may be related to inhibiting the expression of typeⅠ collagen mRNA.

Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2015;(4):212-216
To summarize the clinical experience of Prof. Yan Jun-bai in treating rheumatic arthritis (RA) with suppurative moxibustion and aim to guide acupuncture treatment for RA. Prof. Yan believes that contributing factors of RA include external contraction of pathogenic factors, obstructed flow of qi and blood, internal phlegm-turbidity (due to deficiency of healthy qi or improper diet), and obstruction or malnourishment of meridians. As a result, the treatment strategies are to warm yang, remove pathogenic factors, and tonify the liver, spleen and kidney. Suppurative moxibustion is a reliable therapy for RA.

OBJECTIVETo explore the effect of heat shock protein 90 (HSP90) inhibitor (17-DMAG) and oxaliplatin on the proliferation and invasion of colorectal cancer.
METHODSAfter 17-DMAG, oxaliplatin and half-dose combination of 2 drugs processing colorectal cancer SW480 and HCT116 cell lines, CCK8 assay was applied to detect cell viability. RT-PCR and Western blot were used to detect the expression level of the apoptosis-related molecules. Transwell chemokine axis experiment and Western blot were employed to detect cell invasion ability and the expression level of tumor metastasis-associated protein.
RESULTSThe growth of SW480 and HCT116 cells was inhibited after the administration of 17-DMAG and oxaliplatin(P<0.05) in dose- and time-dependent manner. Processed by 17-DMAG 100 nmol/L, oxaliplatin 50 mg/L and half-dose combination of 2 drugs, transcription level of the apoptosis inhibitory gene (Bcl-2) in SW480 and HCT116 cells was decreased, the level of apoptosis promoting gene (Bax) transcription and protein PARP-1 spliceosome expression was increased, and the above trend was more obvious when using half-dose combination of 2 drugs. Transwell chemokine axis experiments showed the penetrating relative percentage and expression level of MMP9 and integrin β3 decreased, especially for half-dose combination of 2 drugs.
CONCLUSION17-DMAG and oxaliplatin can co-inhibit the proliferation and invasion of colorectal cancer.
