1.Therapeutic Outcomes and Electrophysiological Biomarkers in Anti-Myelin-Associated Glycoprotein Neuropathy:A Multicenter Cohort Study in South Korea

		                        			 Background:
		                        			and Purpose Unlike other immune-mediated neuropathies, anti-myelin-associated glycoprotein (MAG) neuropathy is often refractory to immunotherapy. It is necessary to compare the relative efficacies of various immunotherapies and develop objective biomarkers in order to optimize its clinical management. 
		                        		
		                        			Methods:
		                        			This study recruited 91 patients with high anti-MAG antibody titers from 7 tertiary hospitals in South Korea. We analyzed the baseline characteristics, therapeutic outcomes, and nerve conduction study (NCS) findings of 68 patients and excluded 23 false positive cases. 
		                        		
		                        			Results:
		                        			The rate of positive responses to treatment was highest using zanubrutinib (50%) and rituximab (36.4%), followed by corticosteroids (16.7%), immunosuppressants (9.5%), intravenous immunoglobulin (5%), and plasma exchange (0%). Disability and weakness were significantly associated with multiple NCS parameters at the time of diagnosis, especially distal compound muscle action potential (CMAP) amplitudes. Moreover, the longitudinal trajectory of the average CMAP amplitudes paralleled the clinical courses, with a 16.2 percentile decrease as an optimal cutoff for predicting a clinical exacerbation (area under the receiver operating characteristic curve=0.792). 
		                        		
		                        			Conclusions
		                        			Our study supports the use of NCS as an objective marker for estimating disease burden and tracking clinical changes in patients with anti-MAG neuropathy. We have described the beneficial effects of rituximab and a new drug, zanubrutinib, compared with conventional immunotherapies.

		                        			 A retained surgical drain in the operation site is a rare complication that may cause clinical problems and result in medical disputes.The discovery of a retained drain is most often reported after abdominal and pelvis surgery but drain migration in the prevertebral space after anterior cervical spine surgery has not been reported. 3.Arthroscopic Iliopsoas Tenotomy of Iliopsoas Impingement after Total Hip Arthroplasty

		                        			 Purpose:
		                        			The clinical outcomes were investigated to determine if arthroscopic management is a useful method for 19 hips with iliopsoas tendon impingement (IPI) after total hip arthroplasty (THA). 
		                        		
		                        			Materials and Methods:
		                        			Eighteen patients (19 hips), who complained of groin pain and flexion pain that persisted after THA from September 2013 to December 2019, were the subjects of this investigation. The mean time to manifestation after THA was four months (range, 1–9 months) in patients of an average age of 60 years (range, 50–69 years). Thirteen out of 18 patients underwent THA using the direct anterior approach and five by the lateral approach. IPI was diagnosed by the medical history, physical examination, blood test, radiographic examination using X-ray and computed tomography, and topical injection therapy. All patients underwent arthroscopic treatment and a dynamic arthroscopic physical examination after exposure to the iliopsoas tendon revealed impingement. Tenotomy was then performed on the muscle portion through the total tendon portion. Symptoms and pain levels of preoperative, postoperative and follow-up period were investigated and compared. 
		                        		
		                        			Results:
		                        			The Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index score decreased from an average of 58.4 (range, 40–88) before surgery to an average of 35.0 (range, 15–76) after surgery. Similarly, the visual analogue scale decreased from an average of 4.0 (range, 2–6) before surgery to an average of 1.4 (range, 0–4) after surgery. Sixteen patients (88.9%) showed pain relief and improvement in the straight leg raise test, and two patients showed postoperative muscle weakness and sustained pain. In the follow-up period, muscle weakness improved. One patient underwent arthroscopic iliopsoas tenotomy at the lesser trochanteric level but the symptoms persisted.The clinical symptoms were improved after one more tenotomy at the joint level. 
		                        		
		                        			Conclusion
		                        			Arthroscopic iliopsoas tenotomy performed in patients with IPI after THA showed good clinical results. 
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
4.Estimating Baseline Incidence of Conditions Potentially Associated with Vaccine Adverse Events: a Call for Surveillance System Using the Korean National Health Insurance Claims Data

		                        			Vaccines against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) are raising concerns about vaccine safety, particularly in the context of large-scale immunization. To address public concerns, we measured the baseline incidence rates of major conditions potentially related to vaccine-related adverse events (VAEs). We aimed to provide a basis for evaluating VAEs and verifying causality. 
		                        		
		                        			Methods:
		                        			Conditions of interest were selected from the US Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System Table of Reportable Events and a recent report from a European consortium on vaccine surveillance. We used the National Health Insurance Service database in Korea to identify the monthly numbers of cases with these conditions. Data from January 2006 to June 2020 were included. Prediction models were constructed from the observed incidences using an autoregressive integrated moving average. We predicted the incidences of the conditions and their respective 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for January through December 2021. In addition, subgroup analysis for the expected vaccination population was conducted. 
		                        		
		                        			Results:
		                        			Mean values (95% CIs) of the predicted monthly incidence of vasovagal syncope, anaphylaxis, brachial neuritis, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, Bell's palsy, Guillain-Barré syndrome, encephalopathy, optic neuritis, transverse myelitis, immune thrombocytopenic purpura, and systemic lupus erythematosus in 2021 were 23.89 (19.81– 27.98), 4.72 (3.83–5.61), 57.62 (51.37–63.88), 0.03 (0.01–0.04), 8.58 (7.90–9.26), 0.26 (0.18– 0.34), 2.13 (1.42–2.83), 1.65 (1.17–2.13), 0.19 (0.14–0.25), 0.75 (0.61–0.90), and 3.40 (2.79– 4.01) cases per 100,000 respectively. The majority of the conditions showed an increasing trend with seasonal variations in their incidences. 
		                        		
		                        			Conclusion
		                        			We measured the incidence of a total of 11 conditions that could potentially be associated with VAEs to predict the monthly incidence in 2021. 6.Injury of the Ascending Branch of the Lateral Femoral Circumflex Artery Caused by a Spike of the Displaced Lesser Trochanter in an Intertrochanteric Femoral Fracture - A Case Report -

		                        			Although vascular injuries associated with femoral intertrochanteric fractures have been reported infrequently, bleeding due to vascular injury can lead to severe complications that can be potentially life and limb-threatening. The authors report a case of an injury of the ascending branch of the lateral femoral convolutional artery in a patient who underwent surgical treatment for a femoral intertrochanteric fracture. Vascular injury occurred due to the sharp margin of displaced lesser trochanter five weeks after surgery. Percutaneous transcatheter embolization was done and improved without additional complications. Therefore, the surgeons need to be aware of possible associated vascular injuries caused by displaced lesser trochanter fragments in femoral intertrochanteric fractures.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
7.Helical Blade Locking Sleeve Disassembly Following Failed Femur Intertrochanter Fracture

		                        			A helical blade type of hip screw is used widely for the operative management of femoral trochanteric fractures. A 73-year-old female patient was admitted for femoral trochanteric fracture AO/OTA type 31A2.2. A helical blade locking sleeve dissembled 18 weeks after surgery did not achieve accurate reduction. The patient underwent bipolar hip hemiarthroplasty because the fracture reduction was lost, and it was impossible to remove the remaining helical blade without bone loss. 8.A Network Model of Positive Resources, Temperament, Childhood Trauma, and Comorbid Symptoms for Patient with Depressive Disorders

		                        			Temperament, positive resources, childhood trauma, and other clinical comorbid symptoms are related to depressive symptom severity. Here, we used network analysis to examine the interrelations between these clinical factors in patients with depressive disorders. 
		                        		
		                        			Methods:
		                        			Patients with depressive disorders (n=454) completed self-report questionnaires evaluating clinical symptoms, childhood trauma, temperament, and positive resources. To identify network pattern and the most central aspect, we performed network analysis and centrality analyses. First, we analyzed the network pattern in total participants. Second, we established two groups of those with severe depressive symptoms and those with mild depressive symptoms and compared their network patterns. 
		                        		
		                        			Results:
		                        			Deficient optimism and depression were the central factors in the network of total participants. In the group with severe depressive symptoms, lack of social support and childhood emotional trauma showed high centrality. Deficient social support and other positive resources played central roles in the group with mild depressive symptoms. 
		                        		
		                        			Conclusion
		                        			Network pattern of psychological factors was different between those with mild or severe depression. Lack of positive resources is an important factor in psychological processes in both mild and severe depression.
