Objective:To analyze the expression and clinical significance of serum microRNA (miR)-622 and miR-944 in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer. Methods:Seventy patients with ovarian epithelial cancer admitted in Yuyao People′s Hospital from January 2018 to June 2021 were selected as the study group, and 50 patients with benign ovarian tumors were selected as the control group. The expression of serum miR-622, miR-944 and the expression of tumor tissue protein E cadherin, mitogen-activated protein kinase-1(MAPK1), extracellular regulated protein kinases (ERK) were detected in both groups, and the correlation between miR-622, miR-944 and tumor tissue protein were analyzed. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was drawn to analyze the efficacy of miR-622 and miR-944 in the diagnosis of ovarian epithelial cancer. Results:The levels of serum miR-622, miR-944 and the expression of E-cadherin, MAPK1 and ERK in the study group were higher than those in the control group: 14.72 ± 1.87 vs. 5.94 ± 1.26, 13.02 ± 1.65 vs. 4.15 ± 0.62, (5.12 ± 0.77) scores vs. (2.37 ± 0.34) scores, (6.47 ± 1.09) scores vs. (2.56 ± 0.45) scores, (5.58 ± 0.86) scores vs. (1.87 ± 0.28) scores, there were statistical differences ( P<0.05). The serum levels of miR-622, miR-924 were positively correlated with the expression of E-cadherin, MAPK1 and ERK ( P<0.05). The area under the curve of miR-622, miR-944 and combined diagnosis of ovarian epithelial cancer were 0.763, 0.797, 0.808, respectively. Conclusions:The serum level of miR-622 and miR-944 were up-regulated in the patients with ovarian epithelial cancer, which was positively correlated with the expression of E-cadherin, MAPK1 and ERK protein in tumor tissues.

Objective:To explore the clinical effect of applying transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) to stroke survivors with dysphagia caused by bulbar or pseudobulbar palsy. Methods:Sixty stroke survivors with dysphagia caused by bulbar or pseudobulbar palsy were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, each of 30. All were given basic rehabilitation training, including cold stimulation of the pharynx and empty swallowing training twice a day, practicing the pronunciation of the sounds A, YI and WU five times a day, 30 to 60 repetitions of tongue aspirator training daily and three 15-minute massages with an electric toothbrush. Each subject also received 20 minutes of treatment with a Vocastim swallowing therapy apparatus every day, six times a week for two weeks. Those in the experimental group also received 20 minutes of tDCS every day, six times a week during the two weeks. Before and after the treatment, all were evaluated using the Kubota drinking water test, a functional oral intake scale (FOIS) and standardized swallowing assessment (SSA).Results:After the treatment, a significant improvement was observed in the average Kubata test scores, with the improvement of the experimental group significantly greater than that of the control group. The average FOIS score of those with pseudobulbar palsy in both groups also improved significantly, with the experimental group′s average significantly better than that of the control group. The average FOIS scores of those with bulbar palsy had also improved significantly, but there was no significant inter-group difference. The average SSA scores of those with pseudobulbar palsy in both groups improved significantly, with significantly greater improvement in the experimental group. The average scores of those with bulbar palsy decreased significantly, but without significant inter-group differences. Conclusions:Transcranial direct current stimulation can usefully supplement basic swallowing training, especially for those with pseudobulbar palsy.

Chronic active EBV (CAEBV) infection presents with persistent or recurring IM-like symptoms including fever, hepatosplenomegaly, lymphadenopathy, and liver dysfunction without definite underlying diseases at the diagnosis. No causative pathogenetic mechanisms have been sufficiently clarified, these patients have high EBV-DNA load in the peripheral blood and systemic clonal expansion of EBV-infected T cells, NK cells and B cells. Their prognosis is poor with life-threatening complications including hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, diverse organ failure, malignant lymphomas and so on. Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(Allo-HSCT)is the only effective therapy at present. This review outlines the recent progress of CAEBV clinical and fundamental research at home and abroad.

Objective To investigate the clinical features, laboratory diagnostics, treatments, and prognosis of neonates infected with influenza. Methods The clinical data of 16 neonates diagnosed as influenza admitted to the neonatal ward from January 2015 to May 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. Results Of the 16 neonates, 11 were male and 5 were female. Mean age was 18.5 days. 75% (12/16) of them were reported to be exposed to family members with common cold- like symptoms before hospitalization. Clinical manifestations included nasal obstruction (11/16), fever (10/16), cough (10/16), and rhinorrhea (8/16). Influenza antigen rapid detection (colloidal gold method) was positive in all cases. Influenza immunofluorescence assays were performed in 15 cases, only 6.67% (1/15) was positive. Sputum culture was performed in 13 cases, 8 of which were positive. Of them, 75% (12/16) neonates were diagnosed with pneumonia. Only 12.5% (2/16) neonates were treated with neuraminidase inhibitor. All cases recovered well and were discharged after antibiotic treatment. Conclusions Neonates contacted with family members displaying common cold-like symptoms should be examined for influenza in time. The common clinical manifestations include catarrhal symptoms, fever and cough. The sensitivity of the influenza immunofluorescence assay is lower as compared with the colloidal gold method. Pneumonia may often be developed in neonatal influenza. The prognosis of neonatal influenza is satisfactory if treated.

Objective: To investigate the expression of α-B crystalline in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and discuss its role in the prognosis and targeted therapy of TNBC by analyzing the correlation amongα-B crystalline and the clinico-pathological indi-ces of breast cancer. Methods:Immunohistochemistry SP assay was used to determineα-B crystalline expression in paraffin-embedded specimens of 30 cases of TNBC and 50 cases of non-TNBC tissues. The differences in protein expressions among tissues were com-pared, and correlation analysis was performed to determine the relationship between protein expression and clinico-pathological indi-ces. Results:The positive expression rate ofα-B crystalline was 66.67%in TNBC (20/30) and 42.00%in non-TNBC (21/50), which in-dicates that the expression is significantly higher in TNBC than in the non-TNBC tissues (χ2=4.566, P<0.05). The expression ofα-B crystalline in breast cancer has no significant difference in terms of age, tumor diameter, and cancer stage (P>0.05), but exhibits a differ-ence in terms of lymph node metastasis and the number of metastasized lymph nodes [P53, Ki67 (P<0.05)], which presents a positive correlation (r=0.251). Theα-B crystalline expression in TNBC has no significant difference among indices such as age, tumor diameter, nodal metastasis, number of metastasis, P53, cancer stage, and Ki67 (P>0.05). Conclusion:Significant differences were found inα-B crystalline expression between TNBC and non-TNBC.α-B crystalline is highly expressed in TNBC tissues, and the expression is signif-icantly higher in TNBC tissues than that in non-TNBC tissues.α-B crystalline is associated with poor prognosis of breast cancer. Conse-quently, the overexpression ofα-B crystalline in TNBC may be a reason for unfavorable TNBC prognosis.
