Objective:To investigate the prevalence of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) in rehabilitation therapists. Methods:In September 2023, the computer searched Chinese and English databases such as CNKI database, Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform, VIP Chinese Science and Technology Journal Database, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Embase database, etc. The retrieval time was from the establishment of the database to September 2023. Musculoskeletal disorders, rehabilitation therapists were selected as search terms, and the author, publication time, prevalence rate, and study type were analyzed. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) tool and The Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS) were used to evaluate the quality of the literature. Stata 15.0 software was used for meta-analysis.Results:A total of 28 literatures were included, including 8039 rehabilitation therapists. Meta-analysis showed that the overall prevalence rate of WMSDs among rehabilitation therapists was 72% (95% CI: 64%-80%). The top 3 annual prevalence rates were lower back (51%, 95% CI: 38%-64%), neck (42%, 95% CI: 30%-54%) and shoulder (32%, 95% CI: 23%-41%). The top 3 weekly prevalence rates were lower back (47%, 95% CI: 28%-65%), neck (35%, 95% CI: 14%-55%) and back (30%, 95% CI: 17%-44%) . Conclusion:The higher prevalence of WMSDs in rehabilitation therapists, especially in the lower back, neck, shoulder and back, may be related to the prolonged stouching posture and the continuous or repeated exertion of the upper limbs.

Objective:To analyze the imaging manifestations of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography(18F-FDG PET/CT)in the patients with pleural and peritoneal mesothelioma, and to enhance the diagnostic accuracy for this disease. Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging and immunohistochemical results of 22 patients confirmed pleural and peritoneal mesothelioma(21 malignant and 1 benign)by pathology. The imaging features and glucose metabolism characteristics were summarized. Results:The majority of the patients with malignant pleural mesothelioma presented with unilateral pleural diffuse thickening accompanied by increased radiotracer uptake, and the thicknesses were ranged from 1.0 to 10.6 cm and the average semi-quantitative maximum standard uptake value(SUVmax)was 10.1.Over half of these patients also had a small amount of pleural effusion. The patients with malignant peritoneal mesothelioma mostly showed diffuse thickening of the peritoneum, omentum, and mesentery with increased radiotracer uptake, and the thicknesses were from 1.2 to 6.6 cm and the average SUVmax was 8.4,and over half of these patients had a significant amount of abdominal ascites.Besides the primary sites, nodular, striated, and mass-like abnormal radiotracer uptakes were observed in other metastatic sites in 17 cases of malignant mesothelioma, suggesting metastasis, and the average SUVmax was 7.4,predominantly surrounding lymph node metastasis.Bone and muscle metastases were visible in the patients with malignant pleural mesothelioma, while no such metastasis were seen in those with malignant peritoneal mesothelioma. One patient with benign pleural mesothelioma presented with bilateral pleural diffuse thickening approximately 3.5 cm thick, without significant abnormal radiotracer uptake and with a minor pleural effusion. Conclusion:The 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging manifestations of pleural and peritoneal mesothelioma exhibit the distinctive characteristics. The mode and thickness of pleural and peritoneal thickening, the presence and degree of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose uptake, can preliminarily differentiate between benign and malignant mesothelioma, thus providing valuable references for the early clinical diagnosis of mesothelioma.PET/CT based on whole-body imaging can determine whether there are other sites of metastasis, which is helpful for clinical staging.

With good prognosis of differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC), the 10-year survival rate of DTC patients is more than 90%. As a kind of radiation exposure, radioactive iodine (RAI) treatment has the potential to induce malignancies. Based on this view, whether RAI treatment will increase the risk of secondary primary malignancy (SPM) still has a lot of controversy. This review summarizes current situation of related researches, and also summarizes the limitations of the current researches and the problems to be solved in the future research. In this review, it is believed that RAI treatment does not increase the overall risk of SPM in postoperative-DTC patients.

Peptide‒drug conjugates (PDCs) are drug delivery systems consisting of a drug covalently coupled to a multifunctional peptide via a cleavable linker. As an emerging prodrug strategy, PDCs not only preserve the function and bioactivity of the peptides but also release the drugs responsively with the cleavable property of the linkers. Given the ability to significantly improve the circulation stability and targeting of drugs in vivo and reduce the toxic side effects of drugs, PDCs have already been extensively applied in drug delivery. Herein, we review the types and mechanisms of peptides, linkers and drugs used to construct PDCs, and summarize the clinical applications and challenges of PDC drugs.

Objective:To explore the effect of gene polymorphism on workers suffering from noise induced hearing loss (NIHL) .Methods:In May 2019, a case-control study was conducted to select noise exposed workers in five factories in Zhejiang Province from 2017 to 2018. The average hearing threshold of binaural high frequency (3, 4, 6 kHz) was >25 dB (A) as the NIHL group, and the hearing threshold of any language frequency (0.5, 1, 2 kHz) was ≤25 dB (A) as the non NIHL group, with 307 people in each group. The general demographic data, occupational history, pure tone audiometry results and oral swab mucosal samples of noise exposed workers were collected, and the DNA of oral mucosal cells was extracted. The relationship between genetic risk score (GRS) and NIHL was analyzed, single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) were genotyped, the relationship between genotype and NIHL was analyzed by logistic regression, and the relationship between haplotype and NIHL was analyzed by R language. Results:After adjusting for gender, age, education and working years, the risk of NIHL among workers carrying cysteine-aspartic acid protease 3 gene ( CASP3) rs1049216 recessive model GG genotype, rs6948 recessive model TT genotype, NADPH oxidase 3 gene ( NOX3) rs12195525 additive model GT genotype and dominant model TT+GT genotype decreased ( P<0.05) , the risk of disease was higher in workers with AA genotype carrying cysteine-aspartic acid protease 7 gene ( CASP7) rs12415607 additive model ( P<0.05) . There was a strong linkage disequilibrium (LD) relationship between rs1049216 and rs6948 ( D'>0.8) . Haplotype AT and GG composed of rs1049216-rs6948 increased the risk of NIHL ( P<0.05) . The risk of NIHL increased with the increase of GRS ( OR=2.69, P<0.05) . Conclusion:Genotype polymorphisms at rs1049216 and rs6948 ( CASP3) , rs12195525 ( NOX3) , rs12415607 ( CASP7) may be associated with susceptibility to NIHL.

Neurology Asia 2020;25(2):119-125
Background: Readmission after stroke is common, but limited data is available in West China. This
study aimed to assess the frequencies and influencing factors of unplanned readmissions within 3
months after hospital discharge. Methods: This was a retrospective study in a single center. In our
study, 596 ischemic stroke patients who were admitted to the Department of Neurology of West China
Hospital from November 2011 to August 2012 were enrolled. Demographic data, disease data and
follow–up data were collected at first admission and after 3 months of discharge. The readmission
rate and risk factors were calculated. Results: Of 596 ischemic stroke patients, the readmission
rate was 19.30% (115/596) within three-months, the top three reasons for readmission were needs
of rehabilitation (74/115, 64.35%), recurrence of stroke (14/115, 12.17%), complications (11/115,
9.57%). The readmission was associated with older age, whether patients have indwelling catheter
and endotracheal tube and pressure sores. (P < 0.05)
Conclusions: The rate of readmission within 3 months in ischemic stroke patients was 19.30%. Greater
attention should be paid to the elderly patients and patients with endotracheal tube on discharge to
reduce readmission. Extended nursing care is also needed to reduce the readmission rate of patients
with ischemic stroke.
