Since December 2019, an outbreak of novel coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19) in Wuhan, Hubei Province, which has caused wide public concern all through the world. Although artificial intelligence is a priority development fields in recent years, there is no study on the application and effect of AI in this epidemic. Based on the application of AI scenarios in typical cases, the research analyzes the practice and effectiveness of AI in epidemic surveillance, clinical diagnose, public health management and other related scientific research. Besides, combined with the current situation of development, some suggestions are put forward in order to better play the role of artificial intelligence in the public health emergency system in China.

Objective To investigate whether the median(50%)effective effect-concentration(EC50)of propofol inducing loss of consciousness (LOC) varies. Methods 56 patients undergoing gastroscopy under general anaesthesia were enrolled on the study. Anaesthesia was conducted with a target-controlled infusion(TCI) of propofol. The initial target effect-site propofol concentration (Ceprop) was 5.00 μg/mL and was adjusted stepwise by 0.50μg/mL by an up-down sequential method to reach no-movement. Results Propofol EC50 to induce no-movement was higher in patients with anxiety than those without anxiety(6.46μg/mL vs. 5.75μg/mL,P<0.05). Conclusions During general anaesthesia ,patients with anxiety had a higher propofol EC50 for no-movement compared with those without anxiety. Differences in preoperative anxiety levels may reduce anaesthetic effects.

Objective To observe the effect of Huangxiong Kangshuan capsule on serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods Ninety-two patients with acute cerebral infarction admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicinefrom July 2013 to December 2016 were enrolled, and they were divided into an observation group (47 cases) and a control group (45 cases) by random number table. The control group was given conventional treatment of ischemic cerebrovascular disease, while the observation group was additionally treated by Huangxiong Kangshuan capsule orally taken, once 3 tablets, 3 times a day, on the basis of routine treatment; the duration of treatment was 2 weeks in both groups. After 2 weeks of treatment, the clinical effects of the two groups and the changes of serum hs-CRP and IL-6 levels were observed. Results After treatment, the levels of serum hs-CRP and IL-6 were decreased significantly compared with those before treatment in the two groups [observation group: hs-CRP (mg/L) was 6.18±2.17 vs. 14.11±3.01, IL-6 (ng/L): 28.10±11.47 vs. 120.83±24.51; control group: hs-CRP (mg/L) was 8.89±2.46 vs. 13.97±2.69, IL-6 (ng/L) was 49.48±16.43 vs. 115.25±24.05], and the degree of decline in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group [hs-CRP (mg/L): 6.18±2.17 vs. 8.89±2.46, IL-6 (ng/L): 28.10±11.47 vs. 49.48±16.43, bothP < 0.01]; the total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group [87.2% (41/47) vs. 71.1% (32/45),P < 0.05]. Conclusion Huangxiong Kangshuan capsule can decrease the serum hs-CRP and IL-6 levels in patients with acute cerebral infarction, and has a role in brain protection and nerve function defect improvement.

Objective To explore the neuroprotective effect of cyclosporine A against cerebral ischemia in a rat model of cerebral ischemia reperfusion. Methods Fifty-two adult male SD rats, weighted 250-280 gram, were randomly divided into three groups: the sham group (group A, n=6), PBS control group (group B, n=23) and cyclosporine A group (group C, n=23). Group C received hypodermic injection of cyclosporine A 10mg/kg daily after surgery and group B re?ceived equal volume of PBS instead. Modified Neurological Severity(mNss)scores were used to assess the neurological deficits at 3, 7, 14, 21 and 30 days following cerebral ischemia. The infarct volume were measured 3 days after reperfu?sion. The neurons, reactive microglia and astrocytes around the infract area were detected by immunofluorescence at 3 and 30 days after surgery. Results Modified Neurological Severity scores were significantly lower in group C than group B at the third(P=0.003),seventh (P=0.011),Fourteenth (P=0.000),twenty-first (P=0.003) and thirtieth (P=0.004) days after surgery. cyclosporine A reduced infarct volume, reactive microglia and astrocytes while increased survived neurons (P<0.001) in ischemic penumbra 3 and 30 days after reperfusion (all P<0.001). Conclusion Continuous injection of cyclosporine A not only protects neurons against ischemia damage but also improves neurological functional recovery af?ter acute stage of damage, possibly through reduction of reactive microglia cells and proliferation of astrocytes.

Objective To observe the effect of core stability training combined with eye acupuncture on motor function in patients with hemiplegia after stroke. Methods Eighty patients with hemiplegia after stroke were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group (40 cases in each). Both groups were given regular rehabilitation training, but the patients in the treatment group also were taught core stability training of their waist and abdominal muscle groups, their shoulder muscles, trunk and pelvis. They were also given eye acupuncture.A trunk control test (TCT) , Berg's balance scale (BBS), the modified Barthel index (MBI), functional ambulation categories (FACs) and the Fugl Meyer assessment scale (FMA) were used to assess motor function before and after treatment. Results At the end of 6 weeks of treatment, all of the measurements in both groups had significantly improved. The average TCT, BBS, MBI, FMA, and FAC scores of the treatment group significantly exceeded those of the control group. Conclusions Core stability training and eye acupuncture together can significantly improve the motor function of hemiplegic stroke survivors. The combination therapy is worthy of clinical popularization and application.

Objective To conduct a Meta?analysis to compare the safety and short?term efficacy of laparoscopic assisted distal gastrectomy (LADG)and open distal gastrectomy(ODG)in D2 radical surgeries for locally advanced distal gastric cancer. Methods The literatures from Janurary,1990 to August,2014 on the evaluation of safety and short?term efficacy of LADG versus ODG in D2 radical surgeries for locally advanced distal gastric cancer were collected. The quality of the enrolled articles was evaluated and the software Revman 5.2 was adopted to analyze the cura?tive effect. Results Totally 25 articles met the inclusion criteria, including 5 044 patients with treatment of D2 radical surgeries for locally advanced distal gastric cancer. There was no significant difference in the cleaning number of lymph nodes between LADG and ODG in patients undergoing D2 radical surgeries for locally advanced distal gastric cancer. The operation time was longer for LADG than ODG,but the postoperative evaluation in?dexes such as the intraoperative blood loss and the short?term efficacy of LADG were superior to ODG. Conclusion In the treatment of locally ad?vanced distal gastric cancer, there were differences in the safety and short?term efficacy between LADG and ODG,and surgeons should give concern to these differences in clinical practice to select appropriate surgical approaches. Further research is still needed to explore the long?term efficacy.
