1.Pyogenic Granuloma Arising from a Port-Wine Stain on the Scalp: A Case Report and Literature Review

Pyogenic granulomas (PGs), also known as lobular capillary hemangiomas, are common reactive lesions that are non-neoplastic in nature. While they typically present as isolated lesions, they can rarely develop from preexisting port-wine stains (PWSs). PWS-associated PGs may occur spontaneously but are often linked to pregnancy or prior treatments such as laser therapy, intense pulsed light therapy, or radiotherapy. Here, we report a rare case of a PG arising from a PWS on the parietal scalp of a 27-year-old man with no history of trauma or prior treatment for his PWS. Given the potential for secondary lesion development in PWS, regular monitoring is essential, particularly in patients with associated risk factors.

An auricular pseudocyst is an uncommon, benign cystic lesion that frequently occurs in the auricles of middle-aged male patients, characterized histologically by an intracartilaginous, non-epithelial-lined cystic space. This report presents two cases of auricular pseudocysts successfully treated using deroofing procedures, with excellent long-term outcomes observed at 6-month and 5-year follow-up, respectively. Although various treatment modalities may be employed for these lesions, surgical deroofing is considered a conventional and reliable option that provides low recurrence rates and superior aesthetic outcomes.

Glomus tumors (GTs) are rare benign vascular neoplasms that predominantly occur in the subungual region of the digits. However, these neoplasms have also been reported in other anatomical locations. Extradigital GTs often present in atypical locations with unconventional symptoms, posing potential diagnostic challenges for clinicians. Herein, we present a recent case of an extradigital GT found in the forearm of a 76-yearold male patient that exhibited intraoperative features similar to those of a nerve sheath tumor or intravascular tumor, further underscoring these diagnostic challenges. This report highlights the pivotal role of frozen section pathology in diagnosing and managing this atypical lesion, thereby facilitating optimal patient care.
10.Successful Treatment of Chronic Ulcerative Lesion on the Heel with a Half-Width Reverse Sural Flap in a Patient Who Underwent Achilles Tendon Repair Three Years Ago: A Case Report

A reverse sural flap is a surgical procedure to repair soft tissue defects, usually in the ankle region. This procedure involves moving a tissue flap from the calf to cover a defect in the ankle. The flap is turned 180° so that the tissue around the wound is supplied with blood by the vessels at the base of the flap, typically preserving the sural nerve and artery. This method is particularly valuable when thick and robust tissue is required to cover defects resulting from traumatic injuries, chronic wounds, or post-skin tumor removal when the local tissue is insufficient for direct closure. In this case, a patient who had undergone surgery for a chronic ulcerative lesion on the Achilles tendon three years prior to presentation at the authors’ hospital was treated using a half-width reverse sural flap. Modifications to the sural flap design may be crucial considering the surgical history, blood supply, and defect size around the lower leg. In particular, previous surgeries for lower leg fractures or ligament damage may limit blood supply and require flap design modifications.
