Methods The prescriptions of patients with subsolid pulmonary nodules who were diagnosed and treated by Professor Hua Baojin at Guang’anmen Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2024 were retrospectively collected. Data were imported into the Ancient and Modern Medical Case Cloud Platform for analysis of drug frequency, four natures and five flavors, meridian tropism, drug association, and hierarchical clustering. 2.Clinical Characteristics and TCM Syndrome Patterns in 721 Female Patients with Pulmonary Nodules

		                        			Objective To explore the clinical information of female patients with pulmonary nodules and the distribution of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndromes and their elements. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted to collect the basic information, medical history data, image data, and four diagnostic information of female patients with pulmonary nodules. The distribution characteristics of TCM syndromes and their elements in female patients with pulmonary nodules were determined by KMO test, Bartlett spherical test, systematic cluster analysis, chi-square test, and other methods. Results A total of 721 female patients with pulmonary nodules were included in this study. The patients were mainly 45-59 years old, had secondary school education or above, and had a history of oil smoke exposure as clinical characteristics. The pulmonary nodules were mainly 6-10 mm in size and appeared as multiple and ground glass nodules. The clinical symptoms were mainly fatigue, emotional irritability, and shortness of breath. The main syndromes of disease location were the spleen, liver, and lung; and the main syndromes of disease were phlegm, dampness, and qi deficiency. The main complex syndromes were spleen deficiency and dampness, liver stagnation, and qi/yin deficiency. Conclusion Middle age, high education, and multiple small ground glass nodules are the clinical characteristics of female patients with pulmonary nodules. Exposure to oil smoke is an important cause of the occurrence of female pulmonary nodules. During treatment, attention should be paid to strengthening the spleen, removing dampness, soothing the liver, regulating and tonifying qi, and nourishing yin.

4.Carrier screening for 223 monogenic diseases in Chinese population:a multi-center study in 33 104 individuals

		                        			Objective To investigate the epidemiological characteristics and mutation spectrum of monogenic diseases in Chinese population through a large-scale,multicenter carrier screening.Methods This study was conducted among a total of 33 104 participants(16 610 females)from 12 clinical centers across China.Carrier status for 223 genes was analyzed using high-throughput sequencing and different PCR methods.Results The overall combined carrier frequency was 55.58%for 197 autosomal genes and 1.84%for 26 X-linked genes in these participants.Among the 16 669 families,874 at-risk couples(5.24%)were identified.Specifically,584 couples(3.50%)were at risk for autosomal genes,306(1.84%)for X-linked genes,and 16 for both autosomal and X-linked genes.The most frequently detected autosomal at-risk genes included GJB2(autosomal recessive deafness type 1A,393 couples),HBA1/HBA2(α-thalassemia,36 couples),PAH(phenylketonuria,14 couples),and SMN1(spinal muscular atrophy,14 couples).The most frequently detected X-linked at-risk genes were G6PD(G6PD deficiency,236 couples),DMD(Duchenne muscular dystrophy,23 couples),and FMR1(fragile X syndrome,17 couples).After excluding GJB2 c.109G>A,the detection rate of at-risk couples was 3.91%(651/16 669),which was lowered to 1.72%(287/16 669)after further excluding G6PD.The theoretical incidence rate of severe monogenic birth defects was approximately 4.35‰(72.5/16 669).Screening for a battery of the top 22 most frequent genes in the at-risk couples could detect over 95%of at-risk couples,while screening for the top 54 genes further increased the detection rate to over 99%.Conclusion This study reveals the carrier frequencies of 223 monogenic genetic disorders in the Chinese population and provides evidence for carrier screening strategy development and panel design tailored to the Chinese population.In carrier testing,genetic counseling for specific genes or gene variants can be challenging,and the couples need to be informed of these difficulties before testing and provided with options for not screening these genes or gene variants.

		                        			Objective:To investigate the value of systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS), pediatric sequential organ failure assessment (pSOFA) and pediatric critical illness score (PCIS) in predicting mortality of pediatric sepsis in pediatric intensive care units (PICU) from Southwest China.Methods:This was a prospective multicenter observational study. A total of 447 children with sepsis admitted to 12 PICU in Southwest China from April 2022 to March 2023 were enrolled. Based on the prognosis, the patients were divided into survival group and non-survival group. The physiological parameters of SIRS, pSOFA and PCIS were recorded and scored within 24 h after PICU admission. The general clinical data and some laboratory results were recorded. The area under the curve (AUC) of the receiver operating characteristic curve was used to compare the predictive value of SIRS, pSOFA and PCIS in mortality of pediatric sepsis.Results:Amongst 447 children with sepsis, 260 patients were male and 187 patients were female, aged 2.5 (0.8, 7.0) years, 405 patients were in the survival group and 42 patients were in the non-survival group. 418 patients (93.5%) met the criteria of SIRS, and 440 patients (98.4%) met the criteria of pSOFA≥2. There was no significant difference in the number of items meeting the SIRS criteria between the survival group and the non-survival group (3(2, 4) vs. 3(3, 4) points, Z=1.30, P=0.192). The pSOFA score of the non-survival group was significantly higher than that of the survival group (9(6, 12) vs. 4(3, 7) points, Z=6.56, P<0.001), and the PCIS score was significantly lower than that of the survival group (72(68, 81) vs. 82(76, 88) points, Z=5.90, P<0.001). The predictive value of pSOFA (AUC=0.82) and PCIS (AUC=0.78) for sepsis mortality was significantly higher than that of SIRS (AUC=0.56) ( Z=6.59, 4.23, both P<0.001). There was no significant difference between pSOFA and PCIS ( Z=1.35, P=0.176). Platelet count, procalcitonin, lactic acid, albumin, creatinine, total bilirubin, activated partial thromboplastin time, prothrombin time and international normalized ratio were all able to predict mortality of sepsis to a certain degree (AUC=0.64, 0.68, 0.80, 0.64, 0.68, 0.60, 0.77, 0.75, 0.76, all P<0.05). Conclusion:Compared with SIRS, both pSOFA and PCIS had better predictive value in the mortality of pediatric sepsis in PICU.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
6.Effects of protopanaxadiol on the proliferation and apoptosis of human ovarian cancer cells HO-8910 through regulation

		                        			Objective To investigate the effect of propanaxanediol on proliferation and apoptosis of human ovarian cancer cell HO-8910 and analyze the mechanism.Methods Human ovarian cancer cell HO-8910 were randomly divided into blank group(0.9%NaCl)and experimental-L,-M,-H groups(25,50,100 mg·kg-1 propanaxanadiol treated cells,respectively).Cell counting kit-8(CCK-8)was used to detect the proliferation inhibition;the apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry;the migration was detected by cell scratch test;the invasion was detected by Transwell assay;the expression levels of phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase(PI3K),phosphorylated protein kinase B(p-AKT),proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA),B cell lymphoma-2(Bcl-2)and Bcl-2 associated X protein(Bax)were detected by Western blot.Results The proliferation inhibition rates of blank group and experimental-L,-M,-H groups were(16.89±4.15)%,(28.43±3.66)%,(37.96±4.98)%and(50.11±5.24)%;the apoptosis rates were(4.23±1.07)%,(12.36±2.79)%,(24.32±2.93)%and(42.40±3.28)%;the expression levels of PCNA protein were 0.85±0.08,0.69±0.06,0.43±0.06 and 0.25±0.03;the expression levels of Bax protein were 0.18±0.03,0.33±0.04,0.50±0.05 and 0.69±0.05;the expression levels of Bcl-2 protein were 0.82±0.07,0.63±0.04,0.47±0.05 and 0.30±0.03;the mobility were(52.33±4.25)%,(40.16±4.03)%,(29.63±3.25)%and(20.15±2.12)%;the invasion rates were(60.26±5.88)%,(49.33±4.28)%,(30.15±3.68)%and(22.15±1.96)%;the expression levels of PI3K protein were 0.48±0.04,0.34±0.04,0.26±0.03 and 0.15±0.01;the expression levels of p-AKT protein were 0.45±0.03,0.35±0.02,0.23±0.03 and 0.13±0.02,respectively.There were statistically significant differences in the above indexes between the experimental-L,-M,-H groups and the blank group(all P<0.05).Conclusion Protopanaxadiol may inhibit the proliferation,migration and invasion of human ovarian cancer cell HO-8910 by blocking the activation of PI3K/AKT signaling pathway,regulating the expression of PCNA,Bax and Bcl-2 proteins and promoting their apoptosis,thus achieving anti-ovarian cancer effects.

8.Effects of Electroacupuncture on Hippocampal AcH3 and BDNF in the Rat Model of SNI-induced Pain-Depression Dyad

		                        			ObjectiveTo observe the impacts of electroacupuncture (EA) on the expression of hippocampal brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and acetylated histone (AcH3) in the rat model of spared nerve injury (SNI), so as to explore the analgesic and antidepressant effects of EA. MethodsTwenty-four Male SD rats were randomly divided into 4 groups, with 6 in each group. SNI was used to establish the model of pain and depression. All the groups were intervened one week after SNI surgery and persisted 5 weeks. The EA group was treated with EA (2 Hz) for 30 min every other day and imipramine drug group (IMP) group with peritoneal imipramine injection (10 mg/kg) per day. The sham surgery group (SS) and model group (SNI) received the same grasping stimulation. The paw mechanical withdrawal threshold (PWT) test was performed before the SNI surgery, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 weeks after surgery, respectively. The forced swimming test (FST) and the sucrose preference test (SPT) were performed 6 weeks after SNI surgery. The Western blot method was employed to detect the expression of BDNF and AcH3 from the rat hippocampal tissue at the end of the behavioral tests. ResultsCompared with the SS group, the SNI group had significantly decreased PWT and sucrose consumption, prolonged FST immobility time (all P<0.01), down-regulated BDNF and AcH3 expression (P<0.05 & P<0.01) in the hippocampus, which indicated the successful construction of the pain-depression model. Compared with the SNI group, 6 weeks after SNI surgery, the EA and IMP groups had significantly increased PWT and sucrose consumption, and reduced FST immobility time (all P<0.01); the EA group had up-regulated BDNF and AcH3 expression (both P<0.05) in the hippocampus, the IMP group had up-regulated AcH3 (P<0.05) expression but no difference in BDNF expression. ConclusionEA could relieve pain and depressive behavioral symptoms in SNI rats. 9.Clinical Analysis of Matched Sibling Donor Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation in the Treatment of Young Patients with Multiple Myeloma.

		                        			OBJECTIVE:
		                        			To investigate the efficacy and safety of matched sibling donor allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) in the treatment of young patients with multiple myeloma (MM).
		                        		
		                        			METHODS:
		                        			The clinical data of 8 young patients (median age:46 years) with MM who underwent allo-HSCT from HLA-indentical sibling donors in the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from June 2013 to September 2021 were collected, and their survival and prognosis were retrospectively analyzed.
		                        		
		                        			RESULTS:
		                        			All the patients were successfully transplanted, and 7 patients could be evaluated the efficacy after transplantation. The median follow-up time was 35.2 (2.5-84.70) months. The complete response (CR) rate was 2/8 before transplantation and 6/7 after transplantation. Acute GVHD developed in 2 cases and extensive chronic GVHD developed in 1 case. Within 100 days, 1 case died of non-recurrent events, and 1-year and 2-year disease-free survival were 6 and 5 cases, respectively. At the end of follow-up, all the 5 patients who survived for more than 2 years survived, and the longest disease-free survival time has reached 84 months.
		                        		
		                        			CONCLUSION
		                        			With the development of new drugs, HLA-matched sibling donor allo-HSCT may be a curable treatment for young patients with MM.

		                        			Cardiovascular disease is a major threat to human health and has become the leading cause of death worldwide; therefore, early diagnosis and treatment are of great value. Due to its miniaturization, integration, and ease of operation, microfluidic technology enables the rapid, multi-target detection of cardiovascular disease markers and significantly facilitates the early and rapid diagnosis of cardiovascular disease. This article reviews the research progress of microfluidics in cardiovascular disease detection, analyzes its advantages and weaknesses in the rapid detection of protein, lipid, and nucleic acid biomarkers, hopes to provide a reference to promote the quick detection technology of cardiovascular disease, and thus proposes new considerations for the early management of cardiovascular disease.
