Objective To understand the basic information of the number, classification, and distribution of radiation work units in non-medical institutions in Shanxi Province, China, and to analyze the status quo of health management and radiation protection measures for radiation workers, so as to provide a scientific basis for occupational exposure protection in non-medical radiation work units and better protect the occupational health rights and interests of radiation workers. Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate some non-medical institutions in Shanxi Province. On-site testing was carried out to determine the risk factors for radioactive occupational diseases in the selected non-medical institutions. Results In 220 non-medical institutions, there were 340 radiation devices and 2284 radioactive sources. The rate of individual dose monitoring was 92.7% and the rate of occupational health examination was 87.2%. These devices were equipped with 325 detection instruments for radiation protection, 1316 personal protective equipment, and 730 personal dose alarms. Radiation occupational disease risk factors were investigated in 101 institutions. Conclusion The occupational health management of radiation workers in non-medical institutions in Shanxi Province is generally in line with the national standards. However, there is still a big gap with the level of occupational health management in medical institutions. The health administration departments should clarify the management measures for non-medical institutions and strengthen their supervision and management functions.

Journal of Gynecologic Oncology 2024;35(6):e79-
Objective:
Signaling lymphocytic activation molecule family members (SLAMFs) play a critical role in immune regulation of malignancies. This study aims to investigate the prognostic value and function of SLAMFs in ovarian cancer (OC).
Methods:
The expression analysis of SLAMFs was conducted based on The Cancer Genome Atlas Ovarian Cancer Collection (TCGA-OV) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) was further performed on tissue arrays (n=98) to determine the expression of SLAMF7. Kaplan-Meier plotter and multivariate Cox regression model were used to evaluate the correlation of SLAMF7 expression with survival outcomes of patients. The molecular function of SLAMF7 in OC was further investigated using Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA).
Results:
SLAMF7 mRNA expression were significantly upregulated in OC tumor tissue compared to normal tissue. IHC revealed that SLAMF7 expression was located in the interstitial parts of tumor tissue, and higher SLAMF7 expression was associated with favorable survival outcomes. GSEA demonstrated that SLAMF7 is involved immune-related pathways. Further analysis showed that SLAMF7 had a strong correlation with the T cellspecific biomarker (CD3) but not with the B cell (CD19, CD22, and CD23) and natural killer cell-specific biomarkers (CD85C, CD336, and CD337). Furthermore, IHC analysis confirmed that SLAMF7 was expressed in tumor-infiltrating T cells, and the IHC score of SLAMF7 was positively correlated with CD3 (r=0.85, p<0.001).
Conclusion
SLAMF7 is expressed in the interstitial components of clinical OC tissue, and higher SLAMF7 expression indicated a favorable prognosis for patients with OC.Additionally, SLAMF7 is involved in T-cell immune infiltration in OC.

Chinese Journal of Digestive Endoscopy 2023;40(6):467-471
Objective:To explore the cleansing effect of Nitric Oxide (NO) sustained-release silica nanoparticles (short for NO sustained-release agent) on endoscopic biofilm and its clinical application. Methods:A total of 160 clinical endoscopes were randomly divided into two groups: the cleansing agent group (80 pieces, disinfected with cleansing agents), NO group (80 pieces, disinfected with NO sustained-release agent). A biofilm model of Pseudomonas aeruginosa was constructed and used as the control for phosphate buffered solution (PBS) treatment. A biofilm model of Pseudomonas aeruginosa on the surface of endoscopic lumen was built first in vitro. Scanning electron microscopy was then used to observe the microstructure of biofilm after treatment with NO sustained-release agent. Viable counting method was used to evaluate the cleansing effect of NO sustained-release agent on biofilm. Finally, at the clinical level, the actual disinfection effect of NO sustained-release agent on clinical endoscopy was evaluated by detecting the protein residues, viable counting and adenosine triphosphate (ATP) biofluorescence detection. Results:The scanning electron microscopy showed that the biofilm was intact in the model group, but scattered bacteria were observed on the biofilm surface in the NO group and the detergent group. Compared with the model group [(4.86±2.67)×10 6(colony-forming units, CFU)/mL], the standard CFUs of the NO group [(1.37±0.61)×10 4CFU/mL] and the detergent group [(1.31±0.21)×10 5CFU/mL] were significantly lower (detergent group VS model group, P=0.009; NO group VS model group, P=0.008), and there was significant difference between the detergent group and the model group ( t=9.53, P=0.000 6). The levels of residual proteins in the endoscopic lumens before and after the treatment were 8.03±1.47 mg/mL and 0.50±0.37 mg/mL in the NO group, 8.01±1.51 mg/mL and 0.91±0.52 mg/mL in the detergent group with significant difference ( P<0.01), and the reduction effect of the NO group was more significant. The disinfection of NO group and cleaning agent group was within the qualifying range, but the ATP bioluminescence value, protein residue and colony count of NO group (78.56±42.59 RLU, 0.50±0.37 mg/mL, 7.55±4.56 CFU) were significantly lower than those of detergent agent group (120.80±54.00 RLU,0.91±0.52 mg/mL,11.50±4.75 CFU, P<0.01). Conclusion:NO sustained-release agent can effectively clear endoscopic biofilm and further improve the disinfection effect on endoscopes, which may be of great significance for improving the effects on treatment and prognosis of patients.

Objective:To analyze 12 antithrombins (AT) gene mutations that cause AT deficiency and discuss the relationship between the SERPINC1 gene. mutations and venous thrombotic events. Methods:This study belongs to case series of observational studies. Collected the clinical data of 12 AT deficiency cases in the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University from April 2014 to April 2021 and collected the blood samples before treatment. The AT activity (AT: A) and AT antigen (AT: Ag) was detected by chromogenic substrate and immunoturbidimetry, respectively. The 7 exons and flanking sequences of the SERPINC1 gene were sequenced directly by PCR, the suspected mutations were validated by reverse sequencing. Analyzed the correlation between the SERPINC1 gene. mutations and venous thrombotic events and figured out the proportion. Results:The AT: A of the 12 patients all decreased significantly, ranging from 30% to 66%, and the AT: Ag of the 7 patients decreased accordingly, showing type Ⅰ AT deficiency, and the AT: Ag of the other 5 patients were normal, presented type Ⅱ AT deficiency. 12 mutations were found including 6 heterozygous mutations which were discovered for the first time: c.456_458delCTT(p.phe121del), c.318_319insT(p.Asn75stop), c.922G>T(p.Gly276Cys), c.938T>C (p.Met281Thr), c.1346T>A(p.Leu417Gln)and c.851T>C(p.Met252Thr). All 12 patients had venous thrombosis, and 3 cases including 2 compound heterozygotes and 1 single heterozygote all suffered from deep venous thrombosis (DVT) when they were younger without obvious triggers. The other 9 patients all combined with the other thrombotic factors including old age, hypertensive, smoking, pregnancy, and prolonged immobilization. Conclusion:Patients with AT deficiency caused by SERPINC1 gene defects are prone to venous thrombosis, especially combined with other thrombotic factors.

Objective:To investigate the epidemiological characteristics, diagnosis, treat-ment and prognosis of gallbladder cancer in China from 2010 to 2017.Methods:The single disease retrospective registration cohort study was conducted. Based on the concept of the real world study, the clinicopathological data, from multicenter retrospective clinical data database of gallbladder cancer of Chinese Research Group of Gallbladder Cancer (CRGGC), of 6 159 patients with gallbladder cancer who were admitted to 42 hospitals from January 2010 to December 2017 were collected. Observation indicators: (1) case resources; (2) age and sex distribution; (3) diagnosis; (4) surgical treatment and prognosis; (5) multimodality therapy and prognosis. The follow-up data of the 42 hospitals were collected and analyzed by the CRGGC. The main outcome indicator was the overall survival time from date of operation for surgical patients or date of diagnosis for non-surgical patients to the end of outcome event or the last follow-up. Measurement data with normal distribu-tion were represented as Mean±SD, and comparison between groups was conducted using the t test. Measurement data with skewed distribution were represented as M( Q1, Q3) or M(range), and com-parison between groups was conducted using the U test. Count data were described as absolute numbers or percentages, and comparison between groups was conducted using the chi-square test. Univariate analysis was performed using the Logistic forced regression model, and variables with P<0.1 in the univariate analysis were included for multivariate analysis. Multivariate analysis was performed using the Logistic stepwise regression model. The life table method was used to calculate survival rates and the Kaplan-Meier method was used to draw survival curves. Log-rank test was used for survival analysis. Results:(1) Case resources: of the 42 hospitals, there were 35 class A of tertiary hospitals and 7 class B of tertiary hospitals, 16 hospitals with high admission of gallbladder cancer and 26 hospitals with low admission of gallbladder cancer, respectively. Geographical distribution of the 42 hospitals: there were 9 hospitals in central China, 5 hospitals in northeast China, 22 hospitals in eastern China and 6 hospitals in western China. Geographical distribution of the 6 159 patients: there were 2 154 cases(34.973%) from central China, 705 cases(11.447%) from northeast China, 1 969 cases(31.969%) from eastern China and 1 331 cases(21.611%) from western China.
