Chinese Journal of School Health 2025;46(4):539-543
Objective:
To explore the relationship between parenting styles and depressive symptoms in adolescents with nightmare disorder, so as to provide a scientific basis for formulating effective family intervention measures and psychological counseling.
Methods:
From January 2023 to August 2024, 90 adolescents diagnosed with nightmare disorder and admitted to Hangzhou Seventh Peoples Hospital, along with 176 healthy controls from the urban areas of Hangzhou, were recruited as participants in the study. All participants were assessed using the Nightmare Experience Questionnaire (NEQ), Family Relationship Questionnaire (FRQ), and Plutchik-van Praag Selfreport Depression Scale (PVP). The ttest and Chisquare test were conducted to compare two groups. Pearson correlation and stepwise multiple linear regression were employed to explore the correlations between PVP and NEQ or FRQ. The Process model was used to testing the mediating effects among NEQ/FRQ/PVP.
Results:
The nightmare disorder group had higher scores in nightmare frequency, the four factors of NEQ (physical effect, negative emotion, meaning interpretation, horrible stimulation), and PVP than the healthy control group (24.86±18.89, 10.12±3.67, 19.01±3.51, 17.02±3.31, 15.14±3.26, 14.02±4.38; 2.34±1.04, 6.49±2.18, 17.63±4.76, 13.91±4.24, 12.40±4.49, 9.39±3.28)(t=15.79, 10.11, 2.43, 6.09, 5.14, 27.46, P<0.05). The nightmare disorder group reported significantly lower scores in FRQ general attachment and maternal encouragement than the healthy control group (7.22±2.81, 16.39±3.28) (t=-5.53, -4.95). In contrast, they exhibited significantly higher scores in maternal abuse, maternal dominance, paternal freedom release, and paternal dominance than the healthy control group (8.23±1.80, 13.11±3.73, 18.36±3.37, 12.04±3.29; 6.07±1.85, 8.48±3.80, 15.15±2.51, 9.47±3.03) (t=6.70, 8.96, 5.90, 7.04, P<0.01). The results of Pearson correlation analysis showed that, in the nightmare disorder group, the PVP score was positively correlated with negative emotion, nightmare frequency, maternal abuse, and maternal dominance score (r=0.14, 0.63, 0.26, 0.51, P<0.05). The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that when using FRQ score to predict NEQ score, the adjusted R2 in the nightmare disorder group was 0.01-0.59. Mother abuse could prediced physical effect (β=0.33); maternal dominance significantly predicted negative emotion, horrible stimulation, and nightmare frequency (β=0.29, 0.30, 0.79); paternal freedom release could predict negative emotion (β=0.26), paternal dominance predicted both negative emotion and nightmare frequency (β=0.22, 0.45) (P<0.05). Mediation analysis further revealed that, in the nightmare disorder group, PVP scores served as a mediating variable between FRQ and NEQ.
Conclusion
Abusive, controlling, and neglectful family upbringing styles as well as depression maybe are key factors that may contribute to the development of nightmare disorder among adolescents.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2024;45(5):737-741
Objective:
The study aims to analyze the prevalence and associated factors of myopia among 4 to 9 grade students in Guangdong Province in 2022, so as to provide a scientific basis for targeted intervention measures for myopia in children and adolescents.
Methods:
From September to October 2022, stratified cluster random sampling was used to select 29 095 of 4 to 9 grade students from Guangzhou, Jiangmen, and Meizhou in Guangdong Province for myopia screening and questionnaire surveys. The Chisquare test was applied to compare the differences between groups, and multivariable Logistic stepwise regression analysis was used to analyze factors associated with myopia.
Results:
The myopia detection rate of 4 to 9 grade students was 61.7%, with detection rates of 51.5% for 4 to 6 grade primary school students and 71.95% for 7 to 9 grade junior high school students. Multivariable Logistic regression analysis showed that higher myopia rates were detected among girls (OR=1.39, 95%CI=1.30-1.49), students with one (OR=1.82, 95%CI=1.69-1.96) or both parents having myopia (OR=2.86, 95%CI=2.56-3.18), and indoor sedentary time >6 h(OR=1.28, 95%CI=1.17-1.39) in the 4 to 6 grade. Lower myopia rates were detected in the county (OR=0.92, 95%CI=0.86-0.99) and outdoors at recess activities (OR=0.88, 95%CI=0.81-0.95). Meanwhile, higher myopia rates were detected among girls (OR=1.84, 95%CI=1.69-1.99), students with one (OR=1.87, 95%CI=1.71-2.04) or both parents having myopia (OR=3.03, 95%CI=2.63-3.50), and indoor sedentary time >6 h/d (OR=1.11, 95%CI=1.01-1.23) in the 7 to 9 grade. Lower myopia rates were detected in the county (OR=0.74, 95%CI=0.68-0.80), outdoors at recess activities (OR=0.83, 95%CI=0.76-0.91), and outdoor activity time ≥2 h/d(OR=0.87, 95%CI=0.80-0.95)(P<0.05).
Conclusions
The detection rate of myopia among 4 to 9 grade students in Guangdong Province is relatively high. Place of recess activities, daily outdoor activity and indoor sedentary duration are associated with myopia. Therefore, targeted intervention measures should be adopted, such as appropriately increasing outdoor activity to reduce the occurrence of myopia among primary and middle school students.

Papaya, which is mainly cultivated in the southeastern region of China, is one of the four famous fruits in Lingnan. It is favored by people because of its edible and medicinal value. Fructose-6-phosphate, 2-kinase/fructose-2, 6-bisphosphatase (F2KP) is a unique bifunctional enzyme with a kinase domain and an esterase domain that catalyzes the synthesis and degradation of fructose-2, 6-bisphosphate (Fru-2, 6-P2), an important regulator of glucose metabolism in organisms. In order to study the function of the gene CpF2KP encoding the enzyme in papaya, it is particularly important to obtain the target protein. In this study, the coding sequence (CDS) of CpF2KP, with a full-length of 2 274 bp, was got from the papaya genome. The amplified sequence of full-length CDS was cloned into the vector PGEX-4T-1 which was double digested with EcoR I and BamH I. The amplified sequence was constructed into a prokaryotic expression vector by genetic recombination. After exploring the induction conditions, the results of SDS-PAGE showed that the size of the recombinant GST-CpF2KP protein was about 110 kDa. The optimum IPTG concentration and temperature for CpF2KP induction were 0.5 mmol/L and 28 ℃, respectively. The purified sin[A1] gle target protein was obtained after purifying the induced CpF2KP protein. In addition, the expression level of this gene was detected in different tissues, and showed that the gene was expressed at the highest level in seeds and the lowest in pulp. This study provides an important basis for further revealing the function of CpF2KP protein and studying the involved biological processes of this gene in papaya.

Chinese Journal of Experimental and Clinical Virology 2023;37(1):50-54
Objective:To analyze the epidemiological characteristics and track probable imported sources of the local dengue outbreak in Zhangzhou city, Fujian province, 2019.Methods:Serum samples of patients with suspected dengue fever at acute phases were collected for virus detecting and serotyping by real-time fluorescence quantitative RT-PCR. For the positive specimens of local cases, full-length fragments of E gene were amplified by RT-PCR, and were sequenced and analyzed.Result:In 2019, there were 98 local cases of dengue fever in Zhangzhou city, which were concentrated in Zhao’an county, Longhai district and Yunxiao county. In this study, fourteen dengue virus E gene sequences representing different sources in different districts and counties were selected. The amino acid sequence virulence site analysis showed that the local epidemic strains were relatively virulent strains. The gene sequence alignment and phylogenetic analysis showed that all the local strains were classified as DENV-I subgenotype genotype I, divided into a, b and c three different branches. The evolutionary branch a contained all Zhao’an and Longhai sequences and was divided into three sub-branches, the b and c evolutionary branches were both the sequences of Yunxiao. There was a high correlation between the Shenqiao Town in Zhao’an and the Haicheng Town in Longhai. The other areas of the strains were limited to the towns, and the evolutionary branches were close to the other areas in China and countries in Southeast Asia. Conclusions:The indigenous dengue outbreaks in Zhangzhou, 2019 were caused by multiple sources of introduction and originated from other areas in China or from Southeast Asian countries and there was also the possibility of local cross-county transmission.

Chinese Journal of Blood Transfusion 2021;34(1):22-26
【Objective】 To compare the detection performance of Cobas s201, a minipool(MP) nucleic acid test(NAT) system, and Panther, a individual donation(ID) NAT system, in blood donor screening. 【Methods】 NAT was conducted on 126 359 blood samples, and initially reactive (IR) samples were either discriminated or resolved by ID testing. The non-discriminated reactive (NDR) samples implicated in Panther sysytem were subjected to ID-NAT by Cobas s201. Some non-repeatable reactivet(NRR) and repeatable reactive (RR) samples implicated in Cobas s201 system were subjected to ID-NAT by Panther. 【Results】 61 MP-IR cases were implicated in a total of 85 128 samples that detected by Cobas 201, and 29(0.34‰) were RR after resolved by ID testing. 74(1.79‰)IR samples were implicated in 41 231 samples that detected by Panther, and 22 (29.73%) were DR-HBV after discriminatory test. Among the NDR 28 samples detected by Panther multiplex system, 7 were positive by Cobas s201 single sample (PP1) whereas non-reactive in simulated MPs of six by Cobas 201.In 28 RR samples resolved by Cobas 201, 24 positive and 4 negative samples were retested by Panther. Among the 11 samples presenting inconsistent retest results by Panther and Cobas 201, 10 were anti-HBc positive, carrying low viral load HBV. 【Conclusion】 The NAT-yield by Panther was significantly higher than that by Cobas s201. Some samples with negative discriminatory results were OBI, and it is necessary to further track and verify the unidentified samples. Cobas s201 is more suitable for a wide array of MP-NAT testing while Panther sample loading, which is flexible and easy to operate, is more suitable for ID-NAT with medium sample size.

Chinese Journal of Blood Transfusion 2021;34(1):55-59
【Objective】 To study and analyze the serological and viral charactereristics of hepatitis B virus(HBV) infection in voluntary blood donors in Qingdao. 【Methods】 315 520 blood samples of voluntary blood donors were screened by ELISA combined with nucleic acid testing (NAT). All HBsAg-/HBV DNA+ samples were subjected to high-precision viral load detection and five serological markers of HBV. The sequence of HBV S gene was detected by PCR direct sequencing, and virus genotypes and amino acid mutations were analyzed. 【Results】 A total of 604(0.20%)HBV ELISA or NAT reactive samples were detected: HBsAg+ /HBV DNA- in 307(0.10%) cases, HBsAg-/HBV DNA+ in 138(0.04%) and HBsAg+ /HBV DNA+ in 157(0.05%). Among the 138 HBsAg-/HBV DNA+ donors, 118(85.5%) carried anti-HBc, and 45 (32.61%) carried sole anti-HBc and 5 (3.62%) carried both HBsAg and anti-HBc. In viral load detection, 64 were quantitatively negative and 74 were quantitatively positive, of which 42 were HBV DNA <20 IU/mL and 32 > 20 IU/mL. 13 HBsAg-/HBV DNA+ samples were successfully amplified and sequenced, and 5 were genotype B, presenting a total of 17 amino acid mutations without any deletion or insertion, and 8 were genotype C, presenting a total of 41 amino acid mutations and 2 amino acid deletions. 【Conclusion】 NAT, in combination of ELISA, provides additional safety in detecting potentially infectious HBV during the window period and occult HBV infection (OBI). The viral load was low in OBI infected donors, and anti-HBc+ was the main manifestation. The dominating HBV genotypes are genotype B and C, suggesting HBsAg amino acid mutations may be related to the formation of OBI.
