ObjectiveTo investigate the contamination status of Staphylococcus aureus in food and the presence of enterotoxin genes in Jiading District, Shanghai, and to provide a basis for the prevention and treatment of foodborne Staphylococcus aureus disease. MethodsFrom 2021 to 2023, 15 types of food were sampled for S. aureus testing, and the presence of five enterotoxin genes, including sea⁃see, was tested in the strains. ResultsOut of 705 food samples, 88 (12.48%) were positive for S. aureus. S. aureus was detected in 12 of the 15 food types, with the three food types with the highest positive rates being cold noodles (45.00%), raw poultry (26.25%), and vegetable salads (20.00%). The enterotoxin gene carriage rate was 32.95% in food strains. The carriage rates for sea, seb, and sec were 7.95%, 12.50%, and 14.77%, respectively. Neither sed nor see was detected. The detection rate of strains carrying two types of enterotoxin genes was 2.27%. The enterotoxin carriage rates in strains from vegetables, beverages, and raw meat were 57.14%, 40.00%, and 30.00%, respectively. ConclusionThe S. aureus detection rate in food in Jiading District is much higher than the national average. The enterotoxin gene carriage rates are high, with food strains carrying sea, seb, and sec, with sec being the most prevalent. There is a need to enhance monitoring of S. aureus and enterotoxins, especially in high-risk foods such as noodles, vegetables, and non-packaged beverages.

Objective:
To investigate the dietary lead exposure level among children aged 3 to 4 years in Jiading District, Shanghai Municipality, and assess the health risk caused by lead exposure, so as to provide the basis for the management of children's food safety.
Methods:
Based on the 2023 Dietary and Health Status Surveillance Project in Jiading District, children aged 3 to 4 years from 12 streets (townships) in Jiading District were selected as the subjects using a multi-stage stratified random sampling method. The consumption frequency and daily intake of seven subcategories of four major food groups (beans, tofu), cereals (wheat, rice), meat (animal viscera), and aquatic products (mantis shrimps, bivalves) consumed by children over the past three months were collected using a food frequency questionnaire. Food samples were collected according to the food safety risk monitoring plan in Jiading District, and the lead content was detected. The health risks of dietary lead exposure among 3-4-year-old children were quantitatively assessed using the single-factor pollution index method, the Nemerow comprehensive pollution index method, and the margin of safety (MOS) method.
Results:
A total of 143 3-4-year-old children were surveyed, including 69 boys (48.25%) and 74 girls (51.75%). A total of 317 food samples were tested, and lead was detected in all seven subcategories of food samples, with an overall detection rate of 77.29%. The detection rates of lead in bivalves and mantis shrimps of aquatic products were relatively high (98.75% and 100.00%, respectively). The mean lead content of various foods ranged from 0.003 4 to 0.090 7, with the highest level found in bivalves. The lead content of all food samples did not exceed the standard. The single-factor pollution index of seven subcategories ranged from 0.017 2 to 0.148 0, and the Nemerow comprehensive pollution index ranged from 0.116 5 to 0.424 4, both of which were less than 0.7. The MOS (mean) ranged from 0.000 3 to 0.003 9, with an overall MOS (mean) of 0.012 2. The MOS (P95) ranged from 0.005 7 to 0.055 9, with an overall MOS (P95) of 0.112 4, both of which were less than 1.
Conclusions
The lead pollution level in the diet among children aged 3 to 4 years in Jiading District is safe and clean, with an acceptable impact on food safety. However, the detection rate of lead is relatively high, and the main source of dietary lead exposure is aquatic products.

The Wnt signaling pathway includes both classical and non classical pathways,Wnt5a-Frizzled-2 pathway participates in the Wnt/Ca2+signaling pathway in the non-classical pathway, which is activated by the Wnt-related protein Wnt5a and its ligand Frizzled-2.It can regulate some key sites in cells to affect cell signal transduction, and is closely related to cell growth process.Activation of Wnt5a-Fizzled-2 pathway occurs in some tissues with abundant blood supply, such as heart and brain tissues, during ischemia-reperfusion.Activation of the Wnt5a-Frizzled-2 pathway causes these intracellular calcium overload, ultimately promoting apoptosis. This article reviews the abnormal activation of Wnt5a-Frizzled-2 signaling pathway in ischemia-reperfusion injury diseases and the induced calcium overload leading to apoptosis,in order to provide reference for the study of physiological mechanisms of ischemia-reperfusion injury.

Objective To compare the biomechanical properties of new type of unicortical and unilateral external fixators by finite element analysis. Methods Firstly,a tibia model was reconstructed based on the CT data images using Mimics software, and then processed and modified by Geomagic Wrap software.Secondly,Solidworks software was used to establish the 3D models for new type of unicortical and unilateral external fixators, and fracture defect was made in the tibia model and then the model was assembled with the external fixators. Finally, mesh delineation was performed using ABAQUS software, and axial compression, torsion and bending loads were applied to the assemblies, respectively,to observe the stress distributions and fracture displacements and to evaluate the biomechanical properties of the 2 types of external fixators. Results The new type of unicortical external fixator had the mean and maximum stresses at the nail-bone interface and the stress distribution at the pin-bone contact surface lower than those of the unilateral external fixator under the three different loads, which behaved better in torsional resistance while worse in axial compression and bending resistance than the unilateral external fixator. Conclusion The new type of unicortical external fixator has the biomechanical stability slightly weaker than that of the unilateral external fixator, which shows sufficient stability and reasonable load distribution when used for temporary fixation with lower likelihood of nail breaking, periprosthetic fractures of the tibia pin tract and loosening of the bone pins when compared with the unilateral external fixator.[Chinese Medical Equipment Journal,2024,45(11):32-38]
