1.Empirical analysis on lumbar disc herniation treated with "sinew-bone three needling technique" of Chinese medicine.

		                        			The paper presents professor WU Han-qing's experience in treatment of lumbar disc herniation (LDH) with "sinew-bone three needling technique" of Chinese medicine. Based on the theory of meridian sinew, the points are located by "three-pass method" in terms of the distribution of meridian sinew and syndrome/pattern differentiation. The cord-like muscles and adhesion are relieved by relaxing technique to work directly on the affected sites and alleviate the local compression to the nerve root. The needle technique is operated flexibly according to the affected regions involved, due to which, the needling sensation is increased while the safety ensured. 2.Prediction of internal fixation failure of femoral trochanteric fracture by external wall morphology.

		                        			OBJECTIVE:
		                        			To investigate the relationship between the shape of the lateral wall and the early failure of internal fixation in the fracture of the femoral trochanteric region(FFT).
		                        		
		                        			METHODS:
		                        			Total 295 patients with femoral trochanteric fracture underwent internal fixation from January 2015 to January 2020 were selected. The patients were divided into two groups according to whether there was early internal fixation failure after surgery, 19 patients in the failure group and 276 patients in the normal group. Gender, affected side, age, AO classification, body mass index(BMI), preoperative hemoglobin, X-ray measurement of lower lateral wall thickness, preoperative internal diseases, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative tip apex distance(TAD), postoperative neck shaft angle, operation time and other data were compared between two groups. The shape of the lateral wall was compared between two groups, and the correlation between the shape of the lateral wall and the early internal fixation failure of femoral trochanteric fracture was analyzed.
		                        		
		                        			RESULTS:
		                        			All patients were followed up for more than 1 year. There was no significant difference between two groups in terms of intraoperative blood loss, operation time, postoperative TAD, and postoperative neck shaft angle(P>0.05). At the latest follow-up, the visual anaglue scale (VAS) of the failure group was higher than that of the normal group(P<0.01), and the Harris score of the failure group was lower than that of normal group(P<0.05). The receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve between shape of lateral wall and failure of early internal fixation of femoral trochanteric fracture was drawn. The critical value of the midpoint lateral wall thickness was 16.5 mm, and the area under the ROC curve was 0.845;The critical value of average sidewall thickness was 16.5 mm, and the area under ROC curve was 0.838;The critical value of the axial area of the sidewall was 7.5 mm, and the area under the ROC curve was 0.826.
		                        		
		                        			CONCLUSION
		                        			The shape of the lateral femoral wall measured by CT could be used as a predictive factor for the early failure of internal fixation of femoral trochanteric fractures. 		                        			The paper introduces the theory and the clinical application of "three regions, nine needles and twelve methods" summarized by professor WU Han-qing. On the basis of traditional nine needles and in association with taiji longguan needling technique handed down from family generations, WU Han-qing innovated "three regions, nine needles and twelve methods". According to the treating location and anatomical structure, the needling techniques are classified in terms of three regions, i.e. the needling technique of cutaneous region, that of sinew region and that of periosteum region. Nine kinds of needle devices are developed, including two categories, i.e. miniature sinew-bone needle and grand sinew-bone needle. Based on the three-region needling techniques, 12 acupuncture methods are summarized for different areas and layers of diseases. This acupuncture technique is applicable for the treatment of chronic pain such as injury of sinews, pain in the neck, shoulder, lumbar region and leg and sequela of apoplexy.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
4.Biological Mechanism of Specific Relationship between Gan (Liver) Meridian of Foot-Jueyin and Genitals.

		                        			From the perspective view of Chinese medicine, the Gan (Liver) meridian of Foot-Jueyin starts from the great toe, running upward along the medial side of the thigh to the perineal area, where it curves around the external genitalia and goes up to the lower abdomen. In clinical practice, acupoints in the feet of the Gan meridian of Foot-Jueyin are used to treat the genitourinary and external genitalia diseases. Studies have shown that reproductive system diseases have specific pathological reactions in the places (radial side of tibia and foot) where Gan meridian of Foot-Jueyin passes by. Why does this happen? In this article, we begin by briefly reviewing the evidences linking foot and genitalia. We then explore the potential mechanism of the relationship between genitals and the Gan meridian of Foot-Jueyin. The brain cerebral cortex is characterized by cortical interactions. Numerous studies show that different cerebral cortex function areas (especially the adjacent areas) are overlapping and interact with each other. Finally, we presume that there is a specific connection between the feet and the genitals. Physiologically in the cortical homunculus, the genital area lies adjacent or overlapped to the foot areas, the two areas may interact with each other. The functional reorganization between different areas of the cerebral cortex under pathological conditions may be the underlying mechanism of the relationship between the feet and the genitals.

		                        			The characteristics of syndrome differentiation and the experience of professor were briefly introduced for the treatment of infertility of ovulation disturbance, including three aspects, named the thought of diagnosis and treatment, the therapeutic method and the acupoint prescription, as well as the clinical case report. Academically, professor is deeply influenced by professor , the acupuncture master of Xin'an school and Lingnan school. Regarding the treatment of gynecological diseases, the academic thought of professor - and - is contributed. Professor attaches the importance to the syndrome differentiation based on meridian and collateral, supplemented by the syndrome differentiation of , , and blood, cold and heat, as well as the deficiency and excess. In clinical treatment, the acupoints are selected specially from the conception vessel, the governor vessel, the thoroughfare vessel and the belt vessel. The extra meridians are equally important as the regular ones in the treatment, especially the belt vessel. Additionally, the treatment focuses on communicating the congenital with the acquired one, regulating the liver and benefiting the kidney, as well as adjusting the heart, the spleen and the stomach to ease the uterus. 6. Basal metabolic rate, body fat distribution and its correlation among Xibo adults in Xinjiang

		                        			 Objective To understand the distribution characteristics of body fat content and basal metabolic rate among Xibo adults in Xinjiang and to explore the correlation between them. Methods The people aged between 35 and 70 were randomly selected to be the research object, and a total of 536 people (263 males and 273 females) were selected for the study. Subcutaneous fat, visceral fat, weight, stature, defat weight, body fat rate and basal metabolic rate were measured using the body composition analyzer. The correlation between body fat content and basal metabolic rate was studied by regression analysis, and regression equation coefficient was calculated. Results There were statistically significant in total fat, defate body weight and body fat percentage (P<0. 05) of different aged Xibo adults in Xinjiang, except for male visceral fat and female subcutaneous fat. There were statistically significant subcutaneous fat, total fat and body fat percentage(P<0. 05) between the sexes, except for visceral fat. The visceral fat content among Xibo adults in Xinjiang was negatively correlated with basal metabolic rate (P<0. 05). Conclusion Body lipid distribution is differences in different aged and gender among Xibo adults in Xinjiang. 7.Modern research and application of Longgu.

9.Follow-up of N400 in the Rehabilitation of First-episode Schizophrenia.

BACKGROUNDThe N400 component of event-related potentials (ERP) has recently drawn widespread attention at home and abroad. This study was to explore the relationship between N400 changes and risperidone treatment and rehabilitation infirst-episode schizophrenia (FES).
METHODSERP component N400 was recorded by Guangzhou Runjie WJ-1 ERP instruments, in 58 FES before and 6 months, 15 months after risperidone treatment, and in 62 normal controls. The patients' syndromes were assessed by Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS). And the stimuli are Chinese sentences with matching (congruent) or mismatching (incongruent) ending words.
RESULTSN400 latencies were prolonged, and amplitudes were decreased in Cz, Pz, Fz, C3, C4, in FES compared with in NC, before treatment. The prolonged N400 latencies and decreased amplitudes were negatively correlated with the patients' positive scale and total scale of PANSS. There are significant differences of N400 amplitudes and latencies in 6 months and 15 months follow-up after treatment. Before treatment, 6 months and 15 months after treatment, N400 latencies are 446 ± 35 ms, 440 ± 37 ms, 414 ± 31 ms (F = 9.72, P < 0.01) in incongruent situation; N400 amplitudes are 5.2 ± 4.6 μV, 5.7 ± 4.8 μV, 7.3 ± 5.0 μV (F = 2.06, P > 0.05) in congruent situation, and 8.5 ± 5.9 μV, 10.1 ± 5.0 μV, 11.9 ± 7.0 μV (F = 3.697, P < 0.05) in incongruent situation.
CONCLUSIONSN400 could be used to predict the effects of treatment of schizophrenia to some degree. The linguistic and cognitive impairment in schizophrenia can be improved by antipsychotic drugs.

10.Effects of Danshen Injection () on inhibiting proliferation and inducing apoptosis through down-regulation of mutant JAK2 gene and its protein phosphorylation in human erythroid leukemic cells.

OBJECTIVETo explore the effects of Danshen Injection () on inhibition proliferation, inducing apoptosis and its possible mechanisms on human erythroid leukemic (HEL) cells.
METHODSThe commercial Chinese patent medicine of Danshen Injection was extracted and isolated from Chinese herb of Salvia miltiorrhiza bung. The inhibition effects of proliferation were assayed by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) method in HEL cells treated by Danshen Injection at various concentrations for 48 h. The cellular apoptosis was observed in morphology, analyzed by flow cytometry with annexin V and propidium iodide (PI) staining, and examined by DNA degradation ladder on agarose gel electrophoresis. Meanwhile, the expression levels of mutant Janus kinasez (JAK2) gene and phosphorylation-JAK2 (P-JAK2) protein were detected by allele specific-polymerase chain reaction and Western blot.
RESULTSThe proliferation of HEL cells was effectively inhibited by Danshen Injection in a dose-dependent manner, with suppression rates from 19.46±2.31% to 50.20±5.21%. Typical apoptosis cells was observed in Danshen Injection treated HEL cells, the rates of annexin V positive cells increased obviously in a dose-dependent manner, as well as the DNA degradation ladder of apoptosis revealed on gel electrophoresis. The expression levels of mutant JAK2 gene and P-JAK2 protein reduced gradually with increasing dosage of Danshen injection.
CONCLUSIONDanshen Injection could not only significantly inhibit the proliferation, but also induce apoptosis in HEL cells; down-regulation of the mutant JAK2 gene and P-JAK2 protein expressions are probably one of its molecular mechanisms.
