Objective:
To explore the current situation and related factors of AIDS discrimination among junior medical students in Jiangxi Province, so as to provide a reference for effective AIDS anti discrimination intervention measures in medical colleges.
Methods:
Using a convenience sampling approach, 2 484 medical students were selected from five universities in Jiangxi Province from July to August 2023. An anonymous survey was conducted using a general information questionnaire, a AIDS knowledge questionnaire, and the Chinese version of Zelaya s AIDS Stigma Scale. Independent sample t-tests and analysis of variance were carried out to analyze the level of AIDS discrimination among medical students with different characteristics. Multiple stepwise regression analysis was performed to identify the related factors of AIDS discrimination.
Results:
The total score of AIDS discrimination among medical students was (2.55±0.67). The dimension with the highest score was fear of contracting the disease (2.89±1.01). The results of the multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that the factors related to AIDS discrimination included gender ( β = -0.17 ), grade ( β =-0.08), being an only child or not ( β =-0.04), whether knowing about AIDS knowledge or not ( β =0.22), willingness to use condoms during sexual activity ( β =0.07), willingness to participate in school sexual health knowledge based activities ( β =0.05) and the perceived importance of selfhealth ( β =0.11) ( P <0.05).
Conclusions
AIDS discrimination is prevalent among junior medical students in Jiangxi Province. Efforts should be undertaken to enhance humanistic education and relevant knowledge dissemination among junior medical students to reduce the level of AIDS discrimination.

BackgroundIn China, the structure shift from just one-child family to both one-child and more-than-one-child families is happening. Exploring how the sibling relationships effect between adolescent personality impulsivity and aggressivity is of great significance for promoting adolescent mental health as well as maintaining social harmony and stability. ObjectiveTo investigate the effecting path of sibling relationships between personality impulsivity and aggressivity in adolescents, so as to provide references for the prevention of violent and aggressive behavior in adolescents. MethodsFrom February to April, 2023, a total of 1 200 students with sibling relationships from 12 primary and secondary schools in a county of Sichuan province were included by random sampling. Barratt Impulsivity Scale (BIS-11), Chinese Version of Buss & Perry Aggression Questionnaire (AQ-CV), and Sibling Relationship Questionnaire (SRQ) were used for cross-sectional investigation. Pearson Correlation Analysis was used to analyze the correlation between the scores of these scales. Bootstrap method was used to test the effecting path of sibling relationships between personality impulsivity and aggressivity. ResultsThe total score of BIS-11 was positively correlated with that of AQ-CV as well as the scores of conflict and competition dimensions in SRQ (r=0.485、0.276、0.280,P<0.01), while negatively correlated with the score of warmth/intimacy dimension in SRQ (r=-0.383, P<0.01). The total score of AQ-CV was positively correlated with the scores of conflict and competition dimensions in SRQ (r=0.387, 0.340, P<0.01), while negatively correlated with the score of warmth/intimacy dimension in SRQ (r=-0.304, P<0.01). Within SRQ, negative correlations could be observed between the score of warmth/intimacy and scores of conflict and competition (r=-0.307, -0.375, P<0.01), whereas positive correlation could be observed between the score of conflict and that of competition (r=0.267, P<0.01). The total effect of personality impulsivity level on aggressivity level in adolescent was 0.480 (P<0.01). Sibling relationships played a mediating role between personality impulsivity and aggressivity in adolescents. Meanwhile, the indirect effect values of warmth/intimacy, conflict and competition were 0.054, 0.075 and 0.062, with the effect values accounting for 11.21%, 15.70% and 12.93%, respectively. ConclusionThe personality impulsivity of adolescents can directly affect their aggressivity, and sibling relationships may act as an important channel connecting personality impulsivity and aggressivity. Aim To discover the potential active compounds and possible mechanisms in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) treatment with Zhi-Huang-Zhi-Tong powder (ZHZTP) by using network pharmacology and in vitro study. Methods The active ingredient targets and disease targets of Zhihuang Zhitong Powder were searched and screened by database; they intersected to get a common target; and the "drug-component-target" relationship network diagram was constructed for GO and KEGG enrichment analysis of the overlapping genes; then the core components were docked with the core targets. Finally, based on the inflammation model of HUVECs in vitro, the efficacy and mechanism of Zhihuang Zhitong powder were verified by MTT method, plate scratch test and Western blot. Results Active compounds involved in RA treatment were screened in the present study, and the top two were ursolic acid and emodin, all playing crucial roles in RA treatment with ZHZTP. Additionally, the key target was AKTA, TNF and IL-6. GO and KEGG enrichment analysis revealed that ZHZTP regulated BP, MF and CC, and also focused on regulating AKTA, TNF and IL-6 signaling pathway. Molecular docking showed that interactions between key active compounds and key targets were stable. In vitro ZHZTP significantly inhibited cell viability and migration of TNF-a-stimulated HUVECs, and the involved mechanism may be associated with PI3K/AKT/m-TOR signaling. Conclusions The present study reveals that the potential active compounds of ZHZTP are ursolic acid and emodin, and moreover, the involved mechanisms of ZHZTP for RA treatment are associated with PI3 K/AKT/m-TOR signaling.

Aim To investigate the therapeutic effect of the MW-9 on ulcerative colitis(UC)and reveal the underlying mechanism, so as to provide a scientific guidance for the MW-9 treatment of UC. Methods The model of lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophage cells was established. The effect of MW-9 on RAW264.7 cells viability was detected by MTT assay. The levels of nitric oxide(NO)in RAW264.7 macrophages were measured by Griess assay. Cell supernatants and serum levels of inflammatory cytokines containing IL-6, TNF-α and IL-1β were determined by ELISA kits. Dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)-induced UC model in mice was established and body weight of mice in each group was measured. The histopathological damage degree of colonic tissue was assessed by HE staining. The protein expression of p-p38, p-ERK1/2 and p-JNK was detected by Western blot. Results MW-9 intervention significantly inhibited NO release in RAW264.7 macrophages with IC50 of 20.47 mg·L-1 and decreased the overproduction of inflammatory factors IL-6, IL-1β and TNF-α(P<0.05). MW-9 had no cytotoxicity at the concentrations below 6 mg·L-1. After MW-9 treatment, mouse body weight was gradually reduced, and the serum IL-6, IL-1β and TNF-α levels were significantly down-regulated. Compared with the model group, MW-9 significantly decreased the expression of p-p38 and p-ERK1/2 protein. Conclusions MW-9 has significant anti-inflammatory activities both in vitro and in vivo, and its underlying mechanism for the treatment of UC may be associated with the inhibition of MAPK signaling pathway.

Objective:To compare the dynamic changes of transcutaneous partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PtCO 2) and treatment effect of non-invasive intermittent nebulization and non-invasive simultaneous nebulization in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods:This was a randomized parallel controlled trial study. A total of 70 patients with acute exacerbation of COPD in Changzhou First People′s Hospital from October 2021 to September 2022 were selected by convenience sampling method, and divided into control group and experimental group by randomized digits table method with 35 cases in each group. The control group was given non-invasive intermittent oxygen-driven nebulization, and the experimental group was given non-invasive simultaneous oxygen-driven nebulization. The PtCO 2 values at 0, 5, 10, 15 min (the end point of atomization) of the 2 groups were observed, the daily arterial blood gas analysis indexes (mainly including PaCO 2, PaO 2 and pH) were recorded, and the clinical pulmonary infection score and the self-assessment score of COPD patients were recorded before treatment, on the 4th and 7th day of treatment. Results:Finally, 33 patients were included in both the control group and the experimental group. There were 25 males and 8 females in the control group, aged (75.33 ± 8.24) years old. There were 25 males and 8 females in the experimental group, aged (72.39 ± 8.56) years old. The PtCO 2 values at 0, 5, 10, 15 min in the control group were (63.83 ± 12.47), (64.40 ± 12.57), (65.42 ± 13.77), (66.62 ± 14.59) mmHg (1 mmHg=0.133 kPa). There were statistically significant differences in PtCO 2 at all time points ( F=8.05, P<0.01). Further pairwise comparison by Sidak method showed that there were statistically significant differences in PtCO 2 at 15 min compared with 0, 5, 10 min (all P<0.05). The PtCO 2 values at 0, 5, 10, 15 min in the experimental group were (67.62 ± 11.89), (67.15 ± 12.12), (67.82 ± 12.22), (68.15 ± 12.09) mmHg. There was no statistically significant difference in PtCO 2 at all time points ( F=2.00, P>0.05). The PaCO 2 and pH value of the two groups were improved with the treatment time, the control group had a statistically significant difference on the 4th day of treatment compared with before treatment ( P<0.05), while the experimental group on the second day of treatment compared with before treatment ( P<0.05). Conclusions:Both kinds of nebulization have achieved good therapeutic effects, but non-invasive simultaneous nebulization can better maintain the stability of PtCO 2 in the process of nebulization with higher safety, and can improve the arterial blood gas index PaCO 2 and pH value of patients earlier, which is a more suitable nebulization method for the combination of non-invasive ventilation and nebulization, especially for patients with hypercapnia.
