Based on commonly used acupoints in the clinical acupuncture treatment of functional dyspepsia (FD), this study systematically analyzes the therapeutic differences and synergistic effects between local and distal point selection. It also examines the suitability of primary acupoint selection for different FD subtypes, postprandial distress syndrome (PDS) and epigastric pain syndrome (EPS). The findings suggest that a combination of local and distal acupoints may be more appropriate as primary points for PDS, whereas local acupoints alone may be more suitable for EPS. Additionally, the study explores the impact of various factors, such as stimulation techniques, needling order, intensity or stimulation parameters, and depth, on the efficacy of acupuncture. It concludes that the intrinsic properties of acupoints are the primary determinants of therapeutic direction. Other factors mainly influence the magnitude rather than the direction of the effect. Future research may further investigate how different acupoint combinations, local versus distal, affect the treatment outcomes of FD subtypes, providing new insights for clinical acupuncture prescriptions.

The acupoint sensitization theory,a breakthrough in acupuncture and moxibustion over the past two decades, has greatly enhanced the understanding of meridians and acupoints while increasing the effectiveness of clinical diagnosis and treatment in acupuncture and moxibustion practices. The number of studies on surface sensitization site detection for different diseases is increasing. However, systematic sorting and a summary of the detection mode of surface sensitization points are lacking. Therefore, this study categorizes the method of surface sensitization point detection into two modes:pan-scanning and focused scanning. The classification is based on the characteristics of the openness of the research purpose, the precision of the target range, and the degree of variation during detection. The two modes have considerable differences in the exploration efficiency and the presentation of result. The pan-scanning mode can be further subdivided into holistic and localized pan-scanning modes, whereas the focused-scanning mode can be subdivided into fixed-and variable-focused scanning modes. This study analyzes the application scenarios, characteristics, advantages, and limitations of each detection mode and presents opinions on mode selection, mode innovation, and future development directions. This study aims to provide valuable insights and guidance for the follow-up research on surface sensitization site detection of various diseases.

In the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery, the loss of organs or tissues caused by diseases or injuries has resulted in challenges, such as donor shortage and immunosuppression. In recent years, with the development of regenerative medicine, the decellularization-recellularization strategy seems to be a promising and attractive method to resolve these difficulties. The decellularized extracellular matrix contains no cells and genetic materials, while retaining the complex ultrastructure, and it can be used as a scaffold for cell seeding and subsequent transplantation, thereby promoting the regeneration of diseased or damaged tissues and organs. This review provided an overview of decellularization-recellularization technique, and mainly concentrated on the application of decellularization-recellularization technique in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery, including the remodeling of skin, nose, ears, face, and limbs. Finally, we proposed the challenges in and the direction of future development of decellularization-recellularization technique in plastic surgery.

Objective: To understand the infection status of HIV and related factors in men who have sex with men (MSM) in Shanxi province in 2010, 2015 and 2020. Methods: According to the sentinel surveillance protocol, continuous cross-sectional survey were conducted to collect the information about basic characteristics, general demographic characteristics, AIDS knowledge awareness, high-risk sexual behavior, sexually transmitted diseases, intervention services and HIV infection rate of the MSM in Shanxi in 2010, 2015 and 2020. Results: In 2010, 2015 and 2020, a total of 2 708 MSM were included in this study. There were significant differences in HIV infection rate among three years (χ2=23.76, P<0.001) with an increasing trend with year (trend χ2 =17.34, P<0.001). The rates of anal sex, commercial sex and heterosexual behavior in the past 6 months were 77.62% (2 102/2 708), 5.91% (160/2 708) and 28.14% (762/2 708) respectively, and the rates of consistent use of condom were 52.52% (1 104/2 102), 63.13% (101/160) and 23.49%(179/762) respectively, and the rate of consistent condom use was low. Results from multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that different cities, having educational level of junior high school or below, being recruited through internet, voluntary counseling and testing, suffering from sexually transmitted diseases, occasional condom use in anal sex in the past 6 months were the correlative factors of HIV infection of MSM. Conclusions: The HIV infection rate of MSM in Shanxi increased year by year from 2010, 2015 to 2020. The HIV/AIDS-related risk behavior persisted, and the proportion of condomuse adherence was low, and the HIV detection rate was low in the MSM, so targeted and effective measures should be taken to promote the condom use adherence and regular HIV testing in MSM.

Objective:To evaluate the risk factors of acute kidney injury (AKI) in patients with multiple wasp stings. Methods:Patients with multiple wasp stings were retrospectively enrolled in Hanzhong Central Hospital from September 2010 to November 2020. Based on whether the patients developed AKI, the patients were divided into AKI group and non-AKI group. The general characteristics and laboratory examinations between the two groups were compared. The logistic regression model was used to analyze the risk factors of AKI.Results:A total of 356 patients with multiple wasp stings were recruited in this study, with 196 males (55.1%). The age was 56.0(45.0, 64.0) years old. There were 59 patients (16.6%) with hypertension and 13 patients (3.6%) with diabetes. There were 51 patients (14.3%) in the AKI group and 305 patients (85.7%) in the non-AKI group. Baseline data and biochemical examinations indicated that the two groups showed significant differences in gender, age, sting sites (systemic or local), sting needles, proportions of gross hematuria, leukocyte count, hemoglobin, creatine kinase, alanine transaminase, aspartate aminotransferase, total bilirubin, proportions of urinary protein, and proportions of urine occult blood (all P<0.05). The multivariate logistic regression analysis results showed that the increasing number of sting needles (every 10 needles increase, OR=1.866, 95% CI 1.289-2.071, P=0.001), gross hematuria ( OR=9.770, 95% CI 2.586-36.910, P=0.001), decreasing hemoglobin (every 1 g/L increase, OR=0.016, 95% CI 0.001-0.355, P=0.009), increasing aspartate aminotransferase (every 100 U/L increase, OR=1.311, 95% CI 1.144-1.502, P<0.001), and increasing total bilirubin (every 10 μmol/L increase, OR=1.200, 95% CI 1.008-1.430, P=0.041) were independent influencing factors of AKI. Conclusions:The increasing number of sting needles, gross hematuria, decreasing hemoglobin, increasing aspartate aminotransferase, and increasing total bilirubin are independent risk factors of AKI in patients with multiple wasp stings.

Background::Compared with human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-matched sibling donor (MSD) transplantation, it remains unclear whether haploidentical donor (HID) transplantation has a superior graft-versus-leukemia (GVL) effect for Philadelphia-negative (Ph-) high-risk B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). This study aimed to compare the GVL effect between HID and MSD transplantation for Ph- high-risk B-ALL.Methods::This study population came from two prospective multicenter trials (NCT01883180, NCT02673008). Immunosuppressant withdrawal and prophylactic or pre-emptive donor lymphocyte infusion (DLI) were administered in patients without active graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) to prevent relapse. All patients with measurable residual disease (MRD) positivity posttransplantation (post-MRD+) or non-remission (NR) pre-transplantation received prophylactic/pre-emptive interventions. The primary endpoint was the incidence of post-MRD+.Results::A total of 335 patients with Ph- high-risk B-ALL were enrolled, including 145 and 190, respectively, in the HID and MSD groups. The 3-year cumulative incidence of post-MRD+ was 27.2% (95% confidence interval [CI]: 20.2%-34.7%) and 42.6% (35.5%-49.6%) in the HID and MSD groups (P = 0.003), respectively. A total of 156 patients received DLI, including 60 (41.4%) and 96 (50.5%), respectively, in the HID and MSD groups ( P= 0.096). The 3-year cumulative incidence of relapse was 18.6% (95% CI: 12.7%-25.4%) and 25.9% (19.9%-32.3%; P = 0.116) in the two groups, respectively. The 3-year overall survival (OS) was 67.4% (95% CI: 59.1%-74.4%) and 61.6% (54.2%-68.1%; P = 0.382), leukemia-free survival (LFS) was 63.4% (95% CI: 55.0%-70.7%) and 58.2% (50.8%-64.9%; P= 0.429), and GVHD-free/relapse-free survival (GRFS) was 51.7% (95% CI: 43.3%-59.5%) and 37.8% (30.9%-44.6%; P= 0.041), respectively, in the HID and MSD groups. Conclusion::HID transplantation has a lower incidence of post-MRD+ than MSD transplantation, suggesting that HID transplantation might have a superior GVL effect than MSD transplantation for Ph- high-risk B-ALL patients.Trial registration::ClinicalTrials.gov: NCT01883180, NCT02673008.

Biomedical and Environmental Sciences 2021;34(2):89-100
Objective:
The relationship between outdoor temperature and blood pressure (BP) has been inconclusive. We analyzed data from a prospective cohort study in northwestern China to investigate the effect of outdoor temperature on BP and effect modification by season.
Methods:
A total of 32,710 individuals who participated in both the baseline survey and the first follow-up in 2011-2015 were included in the study. A linear mixed-effect model and generalized additive mixed model (GAMM) were applied to estimate the association between outdoor temperature and BP after adjusting for confounding variables.
Results:
The mean differences in systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) between summer and winter were 3.5 mmHg and 2.75 mmHg, respectively. After adjusting for individual characteristics, meteorological factors and air pollutants, a significant increase in SBP and DBP was observed for lag 06 day and lag 04 day, a 0.28 mmHg (95%
Conclusions
This study demonstrated a significant negative association between outdoor temperature and BP in a high-altitude environment of northwest China. Moreover, BP showed a significant seasonal variation. The association between BP and temperature differed by season and individuals' demographic characteristics (age, gender, BMI), unhealthy behaviors (smoking and alcohol consumption), and chronic disease status (CVDs, hypertension, and diabetes).
