		                        			Further evidence is needed to explore the impact of high-altitude environments on the neurologic function of neonates.Non-invasive techniques such as cerebral near-infrared spectroscopy and amplitude-integrated electroencephalography can provide data on cerebral oxygenation and brain electrical activity.This study will conduct multiple cerebral near-infrared spectroscopy and amplitude-integrated electroencephalography monitoring sessions at various time points within the first 3 days postpartum for healthy full-term neonates at different altitudes.The obtained data on cerebral oxygenation and brain electrical activity will be compared between different altitudes,and corresponding reference ranges will be established.The study involves 6 participating centers in the Chinese High Altitude Neonatal Medicine Alliance,with altitude gradients divided into 4 categories:800 m,1 900 m,2 400 m,and 3 500 m,with an anticipated sample size of 170 neonates per altitude gradient.This multicenter prospective cohort study aims to provide evidence supporting the impact of high-altitude environments on early brain function and metabolism in neonates.[Chinese Journal of Contemporary Pediatrics,2024,26(4):403-409]
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
2.Association of sleep duration and risk of frailty among the elderly over 80 years old in China: a prospective cohort study.

		                        			Objective: To explore the association between sleep duration and the risk of frailty among the elderly over 80 years old in China. Methods: Using the data from five surveys of the China Elderly Health Influencing Factors Follow-up Survey (CLHLS) (2005, 2008-2009, 2011-2012, 2014, and 2017-2018), 7 024 elderly people aged 80 years and above were selected as the study subjects. Questionnaires and physical examinations were used to collect information on sleep time, general demographic characteristics, functional status, physical signs, and illness. The frailty state was evaluated based on a frailty index that included 39 variables. The Cox proportional risk regression model was used to analyze the correlation between sleep time and the risk of frailty occurrence. A restricted cubic spline function was used to analyze the dose-response relationship between sleep time and the risk of frailty occurrence. The likelihood ratio test was used to analyze the interaction between age, gender, sleep quality, cognitive impairment, and sleep duration. Results: The age M (Q1, Q3) of 7 024 subjects was 87 (82, 92) years old, with a total of 3 435 (48.9%) patients experiencing frailty. The results of restricted cubic spline function analysis showed that there was an approximate U-shaped relationship between sleep time and the risk of frailty. When sleep time was 6.5-8.5 hours, the elderly had the lowest risk of frailty; Multivariate Cox proportional risk regression model analysis showed that compared to 6.5-8.5 hours of sleep, long sleep duration (>8.5 hours) increased the risk of frailty by 13% (HR: 1.13; 95%CI: 1.04-1.22). 3.Development and application syndromic surveillance and early warning system in border area in Yunnan Province.

		                        			Objective: To establish a dynamic syndromic surveillance system in the border areas of Yunnan Province based on information technology, evaluate its effectiveness and timeliness in the response to common communicable disease epidemics and improve the communicable disease prevention and control in border areas. Methods: Three border counties were selected for full coverage as study areas, and dynamic surveillance for 14 symptoms and 6 syndromes were conducted in medical institutions, the daily collection of information about students' school absence in primary schools and febrile illness in inbound people at border ports were conducted in these counties from January 2016 to February 2018 to establish an early warning system based on mobile phone and computer platform for a field experimental study. Results: With syndromes of rash, influenza-like illness and the numbers of primary school absence, the most common communicable disease events, such as hand foot and mouth disease, influenza and chickenpox, can be identified 1-5 days in advance by using EARS-3C and Kulldorff time-space scanning models with high sensitivity and specificity. The system is easy to use with strong security and feasibility. All the information and the warning alerts are released in the form of interactive charts and visual maps, which can facilitate the timely response. Conclusions: This system is highly effective and easy to operate in the detection of possible outbreaks of common communicable diseases in border areas in real time, so the timely and effective intervention can be conducted to reduce the risk of local and cross-border communicable disease outbreaks. 4.Clinical observation on different frequency of auricular bloodletting combined with auricular point sticking for acne vulgaris.

		                        			OBJECTIVE:
		                        			To observe the clinical efficacy of different treatment frequency of auricular bloodletting combined with auricular point sticking for acne vulgaris.
		                        		
		                        			METHODS:
		                        			A total of 90 patients with acne vulgaris were randomized into a treatment group 1 (30 cases, 2 cases dropped off), a treatment group 2 (30 cases, 4 cases dropped off) and a treatment group 3 (30 cases, 5 cases dropped off). Combination therapy of auricular bloodletting and auricular point sticking at Fei (CO14), Shenmen (TF4), Neifenmi (CO18) and Shenshangxian (TG2p) were given once a week, twice a week and 3 times a week in the treatment group 1, the treatment group 2 and the treatment group 3 respectively, 4 weeks were as one course and totally 3 courses were required in the 3 groups. Before treatment and after 1, 2, 3 courses of treatment, the scores of global acne grading system (GAGS), skin lesion and quality of life-acne (QoL-Acne) were observed, the clinical efficacy was evaluated after 3 courses of treatment and the recurrence rate was evaluated in follow-up of 1 month after treatment in the 3 groups.
		                        		
		                        			RESULTS:
		                        			Compared before treatment, the scores of GAGS and skin lesion were decreased at each time point in the 3 groups (P<0.05), the QoL-Acne scores were increased after 1 course of treatment in the treatment group 3 and after 2, 3 courses of treatment in the 3 groups (P<0.05). There were no statistical differences in scores of GAGS, skin lesion and QoL-Acne among the 3 groups (P>0.05). There were no statistical differences in effective rate and recurrence rate among the 3 groups (P>0.05).
		                        		
		                        			CONCLUSION
		                        			Different frequency of auricular bloodletting combined with auricular point sticking have similar efficacy in treating acne vulgaris, all can improve the skin lesion and quality of life in patients with acne vulgaris, and have a cumulative effect and good long-term curative effect.

		                        			Objective:
		                        			Several COVID-19 patients have overlapping comorbidities. The independent role of each component contributing to the risk of COVID-19 is unknown, and how some non-cardiometabolic comorbidities affect the risk of COVID-19 remains unclear.
		                        		
		                        			Methods:
		                        			A retrospective follow-up design was adopted. A total of 1,160 laboratory-confirmed patients were enrolled from nine provinces in China. Data on comorbidities were obtained from the patients' medical records. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to estimate the odds ratio ( 
		                        		
		                        			Results:
		                        			Overall, 158 (13.6%) patients were diagnosed with severe illness and 32 (2.7%) had unfavorable outcomes. Hypertension (2.87, 1.30-6.32), type 2 diabetes (T2DM) (3.57, 2.32-5.49), cardiovascular disease (CVD) (3.78, 1.81-7.89), fatty liver disease (7.53, 1.96-28.96), hyperlipidemia (2.15, 1.26-3.67), other lung diseases (6.00, 3.01-11.96), and electrolyte imbalance (10.40, 3.00-26.10) were independently linked to increased odds of being severely ill. T2DM (6.07, 2.89-12.75), CVD (8.47, 6.03-11.89), and electrolyte imbalance (19.44, 11.47-32.96) were also strong predictors of unfavorable outcomes. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease on admission (5.46, 3.25-9.19), while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes (6.58, 1.46-29.64) within two weeks.
		                        		
		                        			Conclusion
		                        			Besides hypertension, diabetes, and CVD, fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia, other lung diseases, and electrolyte imbalance were independent risk factors for COVID-19 severity and poor treatment outcome. 6.Effectiveness of infectious source control after transmission control of schistosomiasis in Eryuan County of Yunnan Province

		                        			 Objective To assess the effectiveness of infectious source control at various stages of transmission control of schistosomiasis in Eryuan County of Yunnan Province, so as to provide insights into the further monitoring and management of infectious sources of schistosomiasis. Methods Wenbi Village, a plateau subtype region and Qiandian Village, a mountain subtype region in Eryuan County were selected as the study areas. The species, schistosome infection and transmission capability of infectious sources were investigated in Wenbi and Qiandian villages in 2011 and 2018 and were compared. Results Schistosome infections were detected in human, bovine, horse, dog and mouse in Qiandian Village in 2011, with positive rates of 1.19%, 0.91%, 1.25%, 3.13% and 0.95%, respectively, and human, bovine and dog were found to have schistosome infections, with positive rates of 0.76%, 1.66% and 9.30%, respectively. However, no infections were identified in human, bovine, horse, pig, dog, sheep or mouse in these two villages in 2018. A total of 731 wild feces were collected in both villages in 2011. In Qiandian Village, horse, bovine and dog feces accounted for 34.40%, 29.80% and 20.20% of all fecal samples, and dog and horse feces were found to have schistosome infections (11.94% and 6.90% positive rates, respectively). In Wenbi Village, dog, bovine and human feces accounted for 44.59%, 39.83% and 14.29% of all fecal samples, and dog, human and bovine feces were found to have schistosome infections (16.95%, 9.52% and 2.33% positive rates, respectively). In 2018, a total of 204 wild feces were collected in both villages, and no schistosome infections were identified. Sheep, dog and bovine feces accounted for 36.27%, 33.33% and 27.45% of all fecal samples in Qiandian Village, and dog, bovine and human feces accounted for 72.55%, 11.76% and 10.78% of all fecal samples in Wenbi Village. Conclusions A remarkable achievement has been obtained in the control of infectious sources of schistosomiasis in Eryuan County, and the role of human and bovine as the major infectious sources of schistosomiasis has been effectively controlled. In the future, the integrated strategy with emphasis on the control of infectious sources should be intensified, and the management of reservoir hosts including dog and mouse should be strengthened.

		                        			 A three-level (provincial, municipal and county levels) schistosomiasis diagnosis network platform had been created in Yunnan Province, and assessment of laboratory quality-control samples and field evaluation of nucleic acid diagnostic techniques and immunodiagnostic reagents had been performed. This paper described the review process of the schistosomiasis diagnosis network laboratory and the operation of schistosomiasis diagnosis network laboratory and analyzed the problems of the schistosomiasis diagnosis network laboratory in Yunnan Province. 8.Short-term outcome of complex coronary lesions treated by excimer laser coronary atherectomy

		                        			Objective To investigate the feasibility, safety and efficacy of excimer laser coronary atherectomy used in complex lesions, including in-stent restenosis, non-crossable or nonexpandable lesions, heavily calcified lesions without successful wire-exchange and saphenous vein grafts lesions. Methods From Jul 24, 2017 to Aug 24, 2018, 22 cases with 24 lesions were treated with excimer laser coronary atherectomy in Peking University People's Hospital, combined with or without IVUS/OCT, rotational atherectomy or other percutaneous coronary intervention instrument, and with or without stent implantation. Results The procedural success rate was 23/24. There was no complications in all cases. Drug-eluting stents were implanted in 19/24 of lesions. There were no major advent cardiovascular events, including death, acute ST-segment-elevation myocardia and pericardial tamponade recorded. Conclusions Excimer laser coronary atherectomy used in complex lesions is feasible, safe and efficient with satisfactory in-hospital short-term outcome.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
9.Oncomelania hupensis status in national schistosomiasis surveillance sites of Yunnan Province from 2015 to 2017

		                        			 Objective To master the Oncomelania hupensis distribution and infection status in the national schistosomiasis surveillance sites of Yunnan Province, so as to provide the evidence for making the control and prevention measures. Methods The data of O. hupensis surveillance in the 18 national surveillance sites of Yunnan Province from 2015 to 2017 were collected and analyzed with the descriptive analysis method according to the national schistosomiasis surveillance programme. Results The total surveillance area was 5 710.94 hm2, the area with O. hupensis snails was 205.69 hm2. The number of surveillance frames was 2 094 553, the occurrence rate of frames with snails was 0.62%, and the density of living snails was 0.025 4 snails/0.1 m2. In the schistosomiasis epidemic controlled areas, the area with snails, the occurrence rate of frames with snails and the density of living snails were all the highest. The snail concentrated distribution areas were the small reservoir, bottomland, paddy field, ditch, and dry land, and the snails mainly distributed in the rice, dry crop, weed and wood vegetation. The number of frames with snails, occurrence rate of frames with snails, total number of snails, number of living snails, and repetition areas with snails presented increasing trends, and however, no schistosome-infected snails were found during the three years. Conclusions The O. hupensis snail status is obviously serious in the national schistosomiasis surveillance sites of Yunnan Province. The comprehensive snail control measures should continue to be strengthened, so as to effectively control the spread of the snails and reduce the risk of schistosomiasis outbreaks. 
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
10.Inhibitory effect of raw malt on the hyperprolactin of female rats induced by risperidone

		                        			Objective To study the effect of raw malt on contents of prolactin(PRL) in the serum and the of expression of PRL mRNA in hypophysis of female rats hyperprolactin (HPRL) induced by risperidone.Methods The rats were fed with risperidone 0.1 mg · kg-1 · d-1.After 30 d,the HPRL model was prepared.Then the rats were randomly divided into four groups according to their weight,each group had 10 rats:model group and experimental-L,experimental-M,experimental -H groups.And continued to be filled with risperidone 0.1 mg ·kg-1 · d-1 in 4 groups.In addition,the experimental-L,experimental-M,experimental-H groups were also fed with raw malt 10,20,40 g · kg-1 · d-1.Equal volume of 0.9% NaCl was given to normal group.After 45 d,serum PRL levels in rats were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay.Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) was used to measure hypophysis PRL mRNA expression,and calculate the difference multiples of expression.Results SerumPRLlevels were (16.75 ±2.55),(17.14±1.81),(14.15 ±3.02),(13.65 ±2.28),(14.45 ±1.71) pg· mL-1 in normal group,model group,experimental-L,experimental-M,experimental-H group;comparison between drugs groups and model group,the difference had significantly(all P < 0.05).The hypophysis PRL mRNA expression was 1,then 1.26 ± 1.21,4.29 ± 1.78,5.42 ±0.76,4.50 ±0.29 in normal group,model group,experimental -L,experimental-M,experimental-H group;comparison between three experimental groups and model group,the difference had significantly (all P < 0.05).Conclusion The serum PRL level in female rats can be increased by risperidone.The raw malt can treat the HPRL of female rats caused by risperidone.
