ObjectiveTo delineate the species composition structure and seasonal density fluctuations of mosquito populations in Yangpu District, Shanghai, and to provide scientific insights for the prevention and control of vector-borne diseases. MethodsA total of 12 monitoring sites from different habitats were selected to conduct adult mosquito monitoring using the CO2 trap light method during 2019‒2023, elucidating the temporal and spatial distribution and change patterns of mosquito populations and densities in Yangpu District. ResultsFrom 2019 to 2023, a total of 1 321 female mosquitoes was captured, with an overall density of 0.16 case·(lamp·h)-1. The species identified were predominantly Culex pipiens pallens (87.28%), followed by Aedes albopictus (12.64%), and Culex tritaeniorhynchus (0.08%). Seasonal distribution showed a typical single-peak pattern, with June‒August being the peak period. In terms of habitat distribution, the highest mosquito population density was found in residential areas [0.18 case·(lamp·h)-1], followed by hospitals [0.13 case·(lamp·h)-1] and parks [0.11 case·(lamp·h)-1]. Culex pipiens pallens was the dominant species in all habitats, with a density of [0.14 case·(lamp·h)-1]. Notably, there was a statistically significant difference in the composition of Culex pipiens pallens and Aedes albopictus among the three habitats mentioned(χ2=38.396, P<0.001; χ2=36.790, P<0.001). The mosquito density of the 12 streets from high to low is Changhai Road, Pingliang, Yinhang, Xinjiangwan City, Yanji, Daqiao, Wujiaochang, Kongjiang, Changbai New Village, Jiangpu, Siping and Dinghai. The distribution of mosquito density was relatively balanced across different communities (H=1.559, P=1.000). ConclusionThe results of CO2 trap light monitoring reveals a relatively low density of adult mosquitoes in Yangpu District, with Culex pipiens pallens as the predominant species, and summer being the peak season for mosquitoes. In light of the threat of mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue fever, more effective and evidence-based mosquito control strategies, aligning with the distribution and behavioral patterns of mosquitoes, should be developed.

OBJECTIVE
To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of the sedative effect of remimazolam in endoscopy and to compare it with propofol and midazolam.
METHODS
Search PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Wanfang database, CNKI and other databases to collect the literature of randomized controlled trials of remimazolam for sedation in endoscopy. The search period was from 2018 onwards when remimazolam was approved for clinical trials until April 2022. The search strategy included the following variable keywords: remimazolam, gastroscopy, bronchoscopy, and colonoscopy. The quality of the included literature was assessed and the collected data were subjected to meta-analysis by RevMan 5.4 software.
RESULTS
Ten relevant RCTs involving midazolam and propofol, involving a total of 2 076 patients were included in the analysis. The results showed that the sedative effect of remimazolam was significantly higher than that of midazolam [OR=0.03, 95%CI(0.02, 0.05), I2=0%, P<0.000 01]; but lower than that of propofol [OR=11.32, 95%CI(2.12, 60.56), I2=0%, P=0.005]. The onset time of remimazolam was longer than that of propofol, but shorter than that of midazolam; the recovery time was faster than that of propofol and midazolam. Compared with midazolam, there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions. Compared with propofol, remimazolam was associated with lower rates of hypotension, slowed heart rate, hypoxemia, and injection pain, but higher risk ratio of nausea, with no difference invomiting.
CONCLUSION
The sedative effect and onset of action of remimazolam are better than midazolam but less than propofol when used for endoscopy. Wake-up time is faster than that of propofol and midazolam. The incidence of respiratory and circulatory depression is lower with remimazolam than with propofol, and there are no significant differences in adverse effects compared with midazolam.

Objective To observe and compare the concentrations of tryptophan-kynurenine pathway metabolites in serum and urine of adolescents with depression individuals using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS).Methods The major metabolites in this pathway, such as tryptophan(TRP),kynurenine(KYN),kynurenic acid(KYNA),and 3-hydroxykynurenine(3-HK)were quantitatively analyzed using isotope-labeled internal standards. The separation was achieved using a Shimadzu C18 col-umn with gradient elution of 0.2%aqueous acid and acetonitrile. The detection was performed within 7 minutes using positive ion mode and multiple reaction monitoring(MRM).The parameters, such as linear range and precision were evaluated to assess reliability of the method.Subsequently, this method was applied to detect and compare the results in the samples of serum and urine from 143 adoles-cents with depression and 110 healthy controls. Results Taking TRP as the example, the linear ranges for serum and urine were 0.54 to 107.84 μmol/L and 0.74 to 147.06 μmol/L,respectively.The intra-batch coefficient of variation(CV)was ≤6.3%,the inter-batch CV was ≤3.22%,and the total laboratory CV was ≤6.5%.The results showed the KYNA,KYN and TRP levels were lower in the de-pression group compared to the control group, while 3-HK levels were higher in the depression group with statistical significance(P<0.01).Apart from TRP,the levels of other metabolites were significantly higher in urine than those in serum, with statistical signifi-cance(P<0.01).Conclusion Compared to the results of serum, the concentrations of TRP metabolites, including KYN,KYNA and 3-HK were higher than those in urine. The concentrations of TRP-KP metabolites in urine,i.e.,KYN,KYNA and 3-HK were higher than those in serum, and the detection of TRP-KP metabolites in urine may offer a greater advantage because the urine collection process is non-invasive.

Objective To investigate the predictive value of Cys C and AT Ⅲ for CIAKI in elderly hypertensive patients with AMI after PCI.Methods A total of 911 elderly hypertensive patients with AMI undergoing emergency PCI in the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from January 2019 to May 2023 were consecutively enrolled, and then randomly divided into a training group(731 cases)and a validation group(180 cases)in a ratio of 8∶2.According to the diagnostic criteria of CIAKI defined by the European Society of Urogenital Radiology, the patients of the training group were further divided into CIAKI subgroup(n=91)and non-CIAKI sub-group(n=640).The basic clinical data were compared between the CIAKI and non-CIAKI sub-groups and between the training and validation groups.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used.ROC curve was drawn to analyze the predictive value of Cys C,ATⅢ and their combina-tion for CIAKI.Results Fasting blood glucose,TG,Cys C,and diuretics were independent risk factors(OR=1.116,95%CI:1.009-1.235;OR=1.786,95%CI:1.363-2.339;OR=13.360,95%CI:4.462-39.999;OR=10.606,95%CI:4.110-27.370),while LVEF and AT Ⅲ were protective factors(OR=0.932,95%CI:0.897-0.968;OR=0.949,95%CI:0.929-0.969)for CIAKI in eld-erly hypertensive patients after emergency PCI.The AUC value of Cys C and AT Ⅲ combined to-gether in predicting CIAKI after emergency PCI was 0.818(95%CI:0.773-0.863,P<0.01),which was better than either of them alone. When Cys C level ≥1.10 mg/L,the risk of CIAKI was increased with the increment of the level;when AT Ⅲ ≥69%,the risk of CIAKI was decreased with the increase of AT Ⅲ level. Conclusion High Cys C level and low AT Ⅲ level are independ-ent risk factors for CIAKI,and their combination can improve the accuracy of predicting CIAKI after emergency PCI in elderly patients with hypertensive AMI.
