		                        			Tooth extraction is a common and widely employed therapeutic procedure in oral and maxillofacial surgery.Minimally invasive tooth extraction can reduce both physical and psychological trauma to the patients,and is widely recommended as a first-line clinical treatment.But currently no guidelines or consensus has been available to provide a systematic introduction of minimally invasive tooth extraction to guide the clinical practices.To address this issue,this consensus,based on a comprehensive literature review and clinical experiences of experts,systematically summarizes the indications,target patients,and contraindications of minimally invasive tooth extraction,the overall workflow of this procedure(preoperative preparation,surgical steps,postoperative management,postoperative instructions,medications,and follow-up),and its common postoperative complications to provide a comprehensive guidance for clinical application of this technique.

		                        			Patients with severe trauma require an extremely timely treatment and transfusion plays an irreplaceable role in the emergency treatment of such patients. An increasing number of evidence-based medicinal evidences and clinical practices suggest that patients with severe traumatic bleeding benefit from early transfusion of low-titer group O whole blood or hemostatic resuscitation with red blood cells, plasma and platelet of a balanced ratio. However, the current domestic mode of blood supply cannot fully meet the requirements of timely and effective blood transfusion for emergency treatment of patients with severe trauma in clinical practice. In order to solve the key problems in blood supply and blood transfusion strategies for emergency treatment of severe trauma, Branch of Clinical Transfusion Medicine of Chinese Medical Association, Group for Trauma Emergency Care and Multiple Injuries of Trauma Branch of Chinese Medical Association, Young Scholar Group of Disaster Medicine Branch of Chinese Medical Association organized domestic experts of blood transfusion medicine and trauma treatment to jointly formulate Chinese expert consensus on blood support mode and blood transfusion strategies for emergency treatment of severe trauma patients ( version 2024). Based on the evidence-based medical evidence and Delphi method of expert consultation and voting, 10 recommendations were put forward from two aspects of blood support mode and transfusion strategies, aiming to provide a reference for transfusion resuscitation in the emergency treatment of severe trauma and further improve the success rate of treatment of patients with severe trauma.

4.Exploration and practice of Peking University Model to improve the clinical teaching effect of clinical postgraduates majoring in periodontology.

		                        			The number of patients with periodontal disease in China is large, and the ratio of doctors to patients is seriously imbalanced, especially in the insufficient number of periodontal specialists and periodontal teachers. Strengthening the cultivation of professional postgraduates in periodontology can effectively solve this problem. This paper summarizes the experiences of Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology in the teaching of periodontal postgraduate students for more than 30 years, in cluding teaching objectives formulation, teaching resources allocation and enhancement of the quality control system of clinical teaching, for ensuring that the periodontal professional postgraduates could reach the expected level after training. This formed the current "Peking University Model". There are both opportunities and challenges in clinical teaching of periodontal postgraduates in domestic stomatology community. 		                        			The Baimai Ointment with the effect of relaxing sinew and activating collaterals demonstrates a definite effect on Baimai disease with pain, spasm, stiffness and other symptoms, while the pharmacodynamic characteristics and mechanism of this agent remain unclear. In this study, a rat model of chronic compression of L4 dorsal root ganglion(CCD) was established by lumbar disc herniation, and the efficacy and mechanism of Baimai Ointment in the treatment of CCD were preliminarily explored by behavioral tests, side effect evaluation, network analysis, antagonist and molecular biology verification. The pharmacodynamic experiment indicated that Baimai Ointment significantly improved the pain thresholds(mechanical pain, thermal pain, and cold pain) and gait behavior of CCD model rats without causing tolerance or obvious toxic and side effects. Baimai Ointment inhibited the second-phase nociceptive response of mice in the formalin test, increased the hot plate threshold of normal mice, and down-regulated the expression of inflammatory cytokines in the spinal cord. Network analysis showed that Baimai Ointment had synergistic effect in the treatment of CCD and was related to descending inhibition/facilitation system and neuroinflammation. Furthermore, behavioral tests, Western blot, and immunofluorescence assay revealed that the pain-relieving effect of Baimai Ointment on CCD may be related to the regulation of the interaction between neuroactive ligand and receptors(neuroligands) such as CHRNA7, ADRA2A, and ADRB2, and the down-regulation of the expression of NOS2/pERK/PI3K, the core regulatory element of HIF-1 signaling pathway in spinal microglia. The findings preliminarily reveal the mechanism of relaxing sinew and activating collaterals of Baimai Ointment in the treatment of Baimai disease, providing a reference for the rational drug use and further research of this agent.

6.A close contact of coronavirus disease 2019 with severe imported malaria: a case report.

		                        			This article presents a severe cerebral malaria patient in shock with a close contact of COVID-19 that was successfully cured in a negative pressure ward during the global pandemic of COVID-19. The patient experienced a sudden onset of high fever and coma in a designated isolation hotel after returning from Africa, and was transferred to a designated hospital. Following antimalarial therapy, blood pressure elevation, increase of blood volume, bedside hemodialysis, mechanical ventilation, plasma and platelet transfusions, the case gradual recovered.

7.Clinical application of minimal invasive liposuction system in lumbar abdominal liposuction

		                        			Objective:To investigate the clinical application and surgical effect of minimal invasive liposuction system (MILS) in lumbar abdominal liposuction.Methods:From July 2019 to March 2021, 985 patients were selected for lumbar and abdominal liposuction. Local anesthesia and intravenous anesthesia were used in all operations. The preoperative design and intraoperative procedures were carried out according to the requirements of MILS method. An average of 2 425 ml fat was aspirated, and the average operation time was 142.4 min.Results:After 3-18 (average 3.85 months) months of follow-up, 857 patients (87% of the patients) were discharged on the day of operation. The waist line curve of the patients was clear and the bulge of the upper and lower abdomen was significantly reduced. The satisfactory rate was 93.5%, and the incidence of complications was 2.8%. No severe complication occurred.Conclusions:MILS is a safe and effective method to perform the waist and abdominal liposuction scientifically and finely. The MILS method makes the lumbar abdominal liposuction standardized, reduces unnecessary procedure, shortens the liposuction learning curve, reduces the occurrence of complications, and achieves the best aesthetic effect.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
8.Discovery of small molecule Gαq/11 protein inhibitors against uveal melanoma.

		                        			Constitutively activated G proteins caused by specific mutations mediate the development of multiple malignancies. The mutated Gαq/11 are perceived as oncogenic drivers in the vast majority of uveal melanoma (UM) cases, making directly targeting Gαq/11 to be a promising strategy for combating UM. Herein, we report the optimization of imidazopiperazine derivatives as Gαq/11 inhibitors, and identified GQ262 with improved Gαq/11 inhibitory activity and drug-like properties. GQ262 efficiently blocked UM cell proliferation and migration in vitro. Analysis of the apoptosis-related proteins, extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), and yes-associated protein (YAP) demonstrated that GQ262 distinctly induced UM cells apoptosis and disrupted the downstream effectors by targeting Gαq/11 directly. Significantly, GQ262 showed outstanding antitumor efficacy in vivo with good safety at the testing dose. Collectively, our findings along with the favorable pharmacokinetics of GQ262 revealed that directly targeting Gαq/11 may be an efficient strategy against uveal melanoma.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
9.Predictive factors for poor prognosis of young patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding in emergency department

		                        			Objective:To investigate the prognostic risk factors of young patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGIB) in emergency department (ED), so as to improve the efficiency of emergency treatment and diversion of these patients.Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of young patients with UGIB in the ED of Hainan Provincial People's Hospital from January 1, 2019 to December 30, 2020. In-hospital mortality was the primary endpoint of the study, and admission to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and length of hospital stay were the secondary endpoints. Inclusion criteria: (1) patients met the diagnostic criteria of acute UGIB; (2) age ranged from 18 to 40 years old; and (3) complete clinical data. Exclusion criteria: (1) bleeding and hemoptysis from the mouth, nose and throat; (2) gastrointestinal bleeding occurred in hospital; (3) lower gastrointestinal bleeding; (4) incomplete clinical data.Results:Among the 383 patients, 268 (70.0%) underwent upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, and the most frequent endoscopic diagnoses were duodenal ulcer (64.6%) and esophageal-gastric varices bleeding (16.8%). Seventy-one (18.5%) patients required endoscopic treatment, 5 (1.3%) patients required surgical treatment, and 7 (1.8%) patients required intervention treatment. The mortality rate was 2.1%, the ICU admission rate was 2.3%, and the length of hospital stay was 5 (3, 6) d. The ICU admission rate and mortality rate were significantly higher in patients with liver disease and in patients with syncope/coma (all P<0.05). Patients with thrombocyte levels (<120×10 9/L) had a significantly longer length of hospital stay than that of patients with normal platelets [8 (5, 11) d vs. 4 (3, 6) d, P<0.001]. The dead patients had significantly higher white blood cell count, urea nitrogen, creatinine, aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase and activated partial thrombin time levels (all P<0.05), and significantly lower hemoglobin, albumin, SpO 2 and Glasgow coma score (GCS) levels (all P<0.05). Low GCS was an independent risk factor of ICU admission ( OR=33.973, 95% CI: 1.582~729.417, P=0.024) and mortality ( OR=20.583, 95% CI: 1.368~309.758, P=0.029). Conclusions:The poor prognostic factors of young patients with UGIB in ED are concomitant liver disease, syncope/coma, co-infection, hyperazotemia, impaired kidney function, liver dysfunction, coagulopathy, anemia, and low SpO 2, low GCS, and low hypoproteinemia on admission.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
10.Clinical application of minimal invasive liposuction system in thigh areas of liposuction

		                        			Objective:To investigate the clinical application and surgical effect of minimal invasive liposuction system (MILS) method in the thighs liposuction.Methods:From July 2019 to March 2021, 868 patients were selected for thigh liposuction. Local anesthesia and intravenous anesthesia were used in all operations. The preoperative design and intraoperative procedures were carried out according to the requirements of MILS ? method. There was an average of 2 154.4 ml fat aspirated, and the average operation time was 156.8 min. Results:After 2-18 months of follow-up, 83.3% of the patients were discharged on the day of operation. The thigh line curve of the patients was fluent and the perimeter of upper thigh was significantly reduced. The satisfactory rate was 92.3%, and the incidence of complications was 2.8%. No severe complication occurred.Conclusions:MILS method is a safe and effective procedure to partition thighs liposuction area scientifically and finely. The MILS method makes the lumbar abdominal liposuction operation standardized, reduces unnecessary operation, shortens the liposuction learning curve, reduces the occurrence of complications, and achieves the best aesthetic effect.
