Objective: To investigate the coexistence of comorbidity of myopia, overweight/obesity and depressive symptoms among middle school students in Quzhou and its associated factors, so as to provide evidence for integrated prevention and control of common multiple health issues in students. Methods: From September to November 2023, a total of 5 867 middle school students from 6 counties (cities and districts) in Quzhou City were selected by stratified random cluster sampling. Physical and visual examinations were conducted, and the Center for Epidemiological Studies - Depression Scale (CES-D) along with a questionnaire on health status and influencing factors were completed. Multivariate Logistic regression was used to analyze the related factors of coexistence of myopia, overweight/obesity, and depressive symptoms among middle school students, and a nomogram model was constructed based on the results. Results: A total of 161 middle school students in Quzhou City were identified as having comorbid myopia, overweight/ obesity and depressive symptoms, with a detection rate of 2.74%. The results of multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the coexistence of myopia, overweight/obesity and depressive symptoms increased among middle school students with older age ( OR =1.11), a greater number unhealthy dietary behaviors (1,2,≥3; OR =2.40, 2.70, 4.63), insufficient sleep( OR =1.78) and alcohol consumption ( OR =2.11)(all P <0.05). Compared with no homework after class, those whose homework duration after class was 1 to < 2 hour had a lower risk of comorbidity of myopia, overweight/obesity and depressive symptoms ( OR =0.53, P <0.05). The results of the nomogram model showed that the AUC (95% CI ) was 0.71 (0.67-0.74). Conclusions The coexistence of myopia, overweight/obesity and depressive symptoms among middle school students in Quzhou City is related to age, sleeping, alcohol consumption, poor dietary behavior and the duration of after school homework. The nomogram model can assist in the early screening and intervention of multiple health issues among students.

Objective:To analyze the clinical characteristics and causes of death of patients with pneumoconiosis, and to provide evidence for the prevention and management of pneumoconiosis.Methods:From June 2022 to July 2023, 38 dead patients with pneumoconiosis confirmed by Shandong Academy of Occupational Health and Occupational Medicine were selected as the research objects. The clinical data of patients were collected through hospital information system (HIS) and laboratory information management system (LIS) to analyze the basic situation of patients with pneumoconiosis who died, the distribution of industry types, the course of disease, the nature of work, the type of reimbursement, complications/comorbidities, and the direct causes of death. Univariate analysis of variance was used to compare the course of pneumoconiosis death in patients with different age of exposure to dust.Results:Among the 38 patients with pneumoconiosis, there were 37 males and 1 female. The age of exposure to dust was 5-37 (19.29±8.17) years, the duration of disease was 5-41 (20.26±8.53) years, and the age of death was 27-86 (70.42±12.26) years old. There were 10 cases of stage Ⅰ pneumoconiosis, 18 cases of stage Ⅱ, 10 cases of stage Ⅲ pneumoconiosis and 32 cases (84.21%) of silicosis. There were 30 (78.95%) people aged ≥65 years and 8 (21.05%) people aged <65 years. The industry was mainly metal products (18 workers, 47.37%), and the distribution of work was mainly excavation workers (11 workers, 28.95%). The death course of pneumoconiosis patients with 10-<30 years of exposure to dust accounted for 76.32% (29/38). The average course of pneumoconiosis patients with 20-<30 years of exposure to dust was the longest[ (24.00±9.39) years], and there was no statistically significant difference in the average course of disease among different age of exposure to dust groups ( F=1.81, P=0.165). The working units of the deceased patients were private enterprises or factories, and the hospitalization expenses were borne by individuals for 21 people (55.26%). The working unit was a state-owned enterprise, and 17 people (44.74%) were reimbursed for hospitalization expenses and work-related injuries. The main comorbidities/complications of pneumoconiosis patients were respiratory infection in 18 cases (47.37%) and chronic pulmonary heart disease (47.37%). The top 3 direct causes of death were pneumoconiosis in 13 cases (34.21%), pulmonary infection in 10 cases (26.32%) and lung cancer in 7 cases (18.42%) . Conclusion:Most of 38 cases of pneumoconiosis patients death diseases such as multiple combination of respiratory system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system disease is a major cause of death in pneumoconiosis patients.

Objective:To investigate the safety and therapeutic effect of split liver transplantation (SLT) in clinical application.Methods:This is a retrospective case-series study. The clinical data of 203 consecutive SLT, 79 living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) and 1 298 whole liver transplantation (WLT) performed at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from July 2014 to July 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. Two hundred and three SLT liver grafts were obtained from 109 donors. One hundred and twenty-seven grafts were generated by in vitro splitting and 76 grafts were generated by in vivo splitting. There were 90 adult recipients and 113 pediatric recipients. According to time, SLT patients were divided into two groups: the early SLT group (40 cases, from July 2014 to December 2017) and the mature SLT technology group (163 cases, from January 2018 to July 2023). The survival of each group was analyzed and the main factors affecting the survival rate of SLT were analyzed. The Kaplan-Meier method and Log-rank test were used for survival analysis.Results:The cumulative survival rates at 1-, 3-, and 5-year were 74.58%, 71.47%, and 71.47% in the early SLT group, and 88.03%, 87.23%, and 87.23% in the mature SLT group, respectively. Survival rates in the mature SLT group were significantly higher than those in the early SLT group ( χ2=5.560, P=0.018). The cumulative survival rates at 1-, 3- and 5-year were 93.41%, 93.41%, 89.95% in the LDLT group and 87.38%, 81.98%, 77.04% in the WLT group, respectively. There was no significant difference among the mature SLT group, the LDLT group and the WLT group ( χ2=4.016, P=0.134). Abdominal hemorrhage, infection, primary liver graft nonfunction,and portal vein thrombosis were the main causes of early postoperative death. Conclusion:SLT can achieve results comparable to those of WLT and LDLT in mature technology liver transplant centers, but it needs to go through a certain time learning curve.

Objective To explore the abnormal brain regions in morphology and its correlation with clinical symptoms of adolescents with major depression disorder.Methods Forty adolescents patients with major depression disorder were enrolled as the case group,and 30 healthy volunteers were recruited as the control group(age,gender,education level and handedness matched with the case group).Depressive symptoms in both groups were assessed by the 17-item Hamilton depression scale(HAMD-17).3D-T1 WI imaging data were acquired by GE 3.0T MR for the two groups.Freesurfer software was used to analyze the cortical thickness(CT)and surface area(SA)values of whole brain of the two groups.Two-sample independent t-test statistical analysis was used to analyze the differences of the values of the whole brain CT,SA between the two groups.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between abnormal CT,SA values and HAMD-17 score in case group.P＜0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results There were no statistically significant differences in gender,age,education level,origin of students and interests between the two groups(P＞0.05),while there was statistically significant difference in HAMD-17 score between the two groups(P＜0.05).The average course of disease in the case group was(14.84+2.71)months,and both groups were right-handed.Brain CT value increased in right medial orbitofrontal lobe and decreased in left anterior central gyrus in case group.There was no difference in the value of SA between the two groups(P＞0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that the CT value of right medial orbitofrontal lobe was positively correlated with HAMD-17 score.Conclusion It is abnormal for the CT of partial brain regions of adolescents with major depression disorder,but the SA hadn't change significantly.The right medial orbitofrontal lobe has important significance on adolescent depression symptoms.

Following the principles of evidence-based medicine,in accordance with the structure and drafting rules of standardized documents,based on literature research,according to the characteristics of chronic cough in children and issues that need to form a consensus,the TCM Guidelines for Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Cough in Children was formulated based on the Delphi method,expert discussion meetings,and public solicitation of opinions.The guideline includes scope of application,terms and definitions,eti-ology and diagnosis,auxiliary examination,treatment,prevention and care.The aim is to clarify the optimal treatment plan of Chinese medicine in the diagnosis and treatment of this disease,and to provide guidance for improving the clinical diagnosis and treatment of chronic cough in children with Chinese medicine.

Transradial approach is the classical access for coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). With the increase in the number of interventional procedures, some disadvantages of the transradial approach have also been found, it is easy to lead to various complications, such as radial artery occlusion, radial nerve injury, and puncture difficulties after radial artery spasm. Therefore, some experts put forward the approach of distal radial artery approach for interventional therapy, which has the advantages of convenient positioning, easy postoperative hemostasis, less damage to the proximal radial artery and improving patients' comfort. However, there is no special distal radial artery hemostat in clinic, which limits the development of this approach to a certain extent. Therefore, based on the principles of anatomy and physics, cardiovascular physician at Jiading District District Central Hospital in Shanghai designed and invented a distal radial artery hemostatic device, which is convenient for clinical hemostasis of distal radial artery puncture, and obtained the National Utility Model Patent (patent number: ZL 2021 2 2097829.6). The hemostatic device consists of a glove body with a silicone gasket protruding towards the skin on the inner surface and a binding component. The patient's hand is inserted into the glove body, and after being fixed by the restraint component, the silicone gasket can effectively compress the location of the radial artery puncture point, and play a good hemostatic effect with less pressure, avoid the common complications of proximal radial artery hemostatic, and reduce the discomfort of the patient. Has good application value.

Abstract Airborne microorganisms, especially pathogenic microorganisms, are easily transmitted through dust and droplets, leading to various infectious diseases. The study summarizes the status of airborne microbial pollution, potential exposure levels, particle size, and species distribution of microorganisms, discusses the impact of airborne microorganisms on human health, and analyzes specific factors affecting campus air microorganisms from four aspects:climate, anthropogenic factors, time, and space, to provide a scientific basis for formulating effective improvement measures, improving air quality and safeguarding the health of teachers and students.

Purpose: This study examined the diagnostic value of high-frequency ultrasound (HFUS) features in differentiating between benign and malignant skin lesions. Methods: A total of 1,392 patients with 1,422 skin lesions who underwent HFUS examinations were included in an initial dataset (cohort 1) to identify features indicative of malignancy. Qualitative clinical and HFUS characteristics were recorded for all lesions. To determine which HFUS and clinical features were suggestive of malignancy, univariable and multivariable logistic regression analyses were employed. The diagnostic performance of HFUS features combined with clinical information was evaluated. This assessment was validated using internal data (cohort 2) and multicenter external data (cohort 3). Results: Features significantly associated with malignancy included age above 60 years; lesion location in the head, face, and neck or genital regions; changes in macroscopic appearance; crawling or irregular growth pattern; convex or irregular base; punctate hyperechogenicity; blood flow signals; and feeding arteries. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve, sensitivity, and specificity of HFUS features combined with clinical information were 0.946, 92.5%, and 86.9% in cohort 1; 0.870, 93.1%, and 80.8% in cohort 2 (610 lesions); and 0.864, 86.2%, and 86.6% in cohort 3 (170 lesions), respectively. However, HFUS is not suitable for evaluating lesions less than 0.1 mm in thickness or lesions exhibiting surface hyperkeratosis. Conclusion In a clinical setting, the integration of HFUS with clinical information exhibited good diagnostic performance in differentiating malignant and benign skin lesions. However, its utility was limited in evaluating extremely thin lesions and those exhibiting hyperkeratosis.
