Taking the theory of zang-qiao (脏窍, viscera and orifices) as the framework, this paper elaborates on the connotation and expression of the holistic concept of zang-qiao. It expounds the concept from two dimensions, which are "integration of viscera and orifices" and "integration of the seven orifices", and explains the diagnostic and therapeutic approach characterized by "inferring the condition of the viscera through the orifices and conducting comprehensive diagnosis" in the context of ear, nose, pharynx and larynx diseases. Moreover, it explores specific therapeutic strategies for orifice-related diseases in otorhinolaryngology, including treatment of the orifices via viscera, simultaneous treatment of viscera and orifices, and external therapies targeting the orifices, which provides a multidimensional thinking model and practical path for clinical diagnosis and treatment.

Miao is an important ethnic minority in China. Miao medicine (MM) is a pivotal of traditional Chinese medicine. It is an accumulation of the Miao people's experience fighting against diseases for thousands of years and has been an important part of the Miao culture. The origin of MM is closely related to Miao culture, customs, and habits. MM gradually formed a traditional medical theoretical system with obvious regional characteristics, distinctive cultural characteristics, and unique efficacy. In this paper, we intro-duce and review the unique theoretical system of MM, including the basic theory of MM, the theory of medicine, nature, taste, and channel tropism, and the theory of entering the shelf. In addition, we summarize the development of MM to provide an overview of the theoretical characteristics and industrialisation of MM that is accessible to everyone.

Objective:To explore the mutuality among main caregivers of pancreatic cancer patients with surgery, and its correlations with the perceived social support and resilience. Methods:From March to July 2019, this study selected 150 main caregivers of pancreatic cancer patients with surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital with Nanjing Medical University as subjects by convenience sampling. All of patients were investigated with the General Information Questionnaire, the Mutuality Scale (MS) , Perceived Social Support Scale (PSSS) and the 10-item Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC-10) . A total of 150 questionnaires were sent out and 144 valid of them were collected. Results:Among 144 main caregivers of pancreatic cancer patients after surgery, the total average score of MS was (2.75±0.73) . Pearson correlation analysis results showed that the mutuality of main caregivers had positive correlations with the perceived social support and resilience with statistical differences ( P<0.05) . Hierarchical regression analysis showed that the genders, income, perceived social support and resilience went into the regression equation; except for the general information, the perceived social support and resilience could explain 24.5% of the variation. Conclusions:Main caregivers of pancreatic cancer patients with surgery have the above medium level of mutuality which has close correlations with the perceived social support and resilience. Medical staff should pay attention to maintaining the positive relations between caregivers and patients so as to promote the physical and mental health of caregivers.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2017;42(12):1375-1382
Objective:To evaluate the therapeutic effect of CXCL1 monoclonal antibody on dextra sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced acute ulcerative colitis (UC) in mice, and to elucidate its effect on the expressions ofTNF-α,IFN-γ,,IL-17 and IL-10 as well as neutrophil infiltration. Methods:Female BALB/c mice were randomly divided into a normal group (DSS-),a disease group (DSS+saline),an anti-CXCL1 antibody group (DSS+anti-CXCL1 Ab) and a treatment control group (DSS+IgG Ab).The DSS+saline,DSS+anti-CXCL1 Ab and DSS+anti-CXCL1 Ab groups were given 3.5% DSS solution as drinking water to induce acute intestinal inflammation, while the normal control was given distilled water freely. The DSS+anti-CXCL1 Ab mice were intraperitoneal injected with anti-CXCL1 Ab (4 mg/kg) on the 3rd and 6th day.Same amount of rat IgG Ab was given in the DSS+IgG Ab group. The normal group and the disease group were injected with 0.9% sodium chloride solution. The value of disease activity index (DAI) and the injury of colorectal tissue were measured. The levels of TNF-α,IFN-γ,IL-10 and IL-17 in colonic tissues of mice were detected by RT-PCR.Myeloperoxidase (MPO),a specific marker of neutrophils was measured by immunohistochemistry. Results:Compared with the normal control group,DAI score and colorectal injury score in the disease group were significantly increased, but the DAI and colorectal in the mice with acute ulcerative colitis tissue damage score were significantly reduced after anti-CXCL1 Ab intervention.Compared with the normal control group,mRNA levels of TNF-α,IFN-γ and IL-17 in the colorectal tissues were significantly elevated (P<0.05) in the disease group while the IL-10 was decreased;these effects were attenuated by anti-CXCL1 Ab intervention (P<0.05).Immunohistochemistry showed that the infiltration of neutrophils (MPO+) in the colon tissue was significantly increased in the disease group, while the anti-CXCL1 Ab treatment could significantly reduce the neutrophil infiltration in colon tissue (P<0.05).Conclusion:Anti-CXCL1 Ab relieves the progression of DSS-induced acute ulcerative colitis by suppressing proinflammatory expression and neutrophil infiltration.
