Objective:To explore the effects of staged thematic painting therapy on positive emotions, alexithymia and self-efficacy in children with emotional disorders. Methods:This was a quasi-experimental study. By convenient sampling, 61 children with emotional disorders admitted from January 2022 to December 2022 to the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychology, Affiliated Psychological Hospital of Anhui Medical University were selected as the research objects, 31 patients admitted from January 2022 to June 2022 were listed as the control group and 30 patients admitted from July 2022 to December 2022 were listed as the observation group according to the time of admission. The control group was given routine psychiatric care, and the observation group was given staged thematic painting therapy on this basis. The intervention time was 6 weeks. The intervention effect was evaluated by Positive and Negative Affect Scale,Toronto Alexithymia Scale, and General Self-Efficacy Scale. Results:There were 15 males and 16 females in the control group, aged (14.19 ± 1.79) years old. There were 13 males and 17 females in the observation group, aged (14.47 ± 1.55) years old. The difference in baseline data between the two groups was not statistically significant ( P>0.05) and was comparable. There was no significant difference in the score of positive emotions, alexithymia and self-efficacy before intervention between the two groups (all P>0.05). After intervention, the scores of positive emotions and self-efficacy in the observation group were (43.20±7.41), (31.88 ± 5.42) points, which were higher than those in the control group (33.81 ± 6.92), (21.24 ± 5.41) points, the differences were statistically significant ( t=-6.19, -5.63, both P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of alexithymia in the observation group was (53.44 ± 4.68) points, which was lower than that in the control group (60.44 ± 5.52) points, the difference was statistically significant ( t=-8.72, P<0.05). Conclusions:Staged thematic painting therapy can effectively improve the positive emotions, self-efficacy and alexithymia level of children with emotional disorders, help the patients establish confidence to overcome the disease. It is valuable in clinical practice.

Sichuan Mental Health 2024;37(6):520-525
BackgroundThe issue of depression among adolescents is becoming increasingly serious, seriously endangering their healthy development. The issue of sleep disturbances in adolescents with depressive disorder is gradually receiving attention, but there is currently a lack of research on the relationship between sleep quality and suicide risk in this patient population. ObjectiveTo explore the relationship between suicide risk and sleep quality in adolescents with depressive disorders, and analyze the influencing factors of suicide risk, so as to provide references for clinical intervention. MethodsA total of 101 adolescents patients who met the diagnostic criteria for depressive disorder in the International Classification of Diseases, 10th edition (ICD-10) and were hospitalized at Hefei Fourth People's Hospital from June 2020 to February 2023 were selected. The patients were evaluated using the Nurses' Global Assessment of Suicide Risk (NGASR) and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). According to the NGASR score, patients were divided into severe suicide risk group (n=35) and non-severe suicide risk group (n=66). Pearson correlation analysis was used to examine the correlation between sleep quality and suicide risk in adolescents with depression. Multiple Logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of severe suicide risk in adolescent patients with depression. ResultsStatistically significant differences were found between the two groups in terms of academic pressure, peer relationship and family relationship (t=3.942, 4.378, 6.748, P<0.05). Moreover, there was a statistically significant difference in PSQI score between two groups (t=7.398, P<0.05). There was also a statistically significant difference in sleep quality between the two groups (χ2=4.986, P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed a positive correlation between total PSQI score and NGASR score (r=0.698, P<0.05). Severe depression (OR=1.628, 95% CI: 1.079~2.457), high academic pressure (OR=1.118, 95% CI: 1.018~1.228) and poor sleep quality (OR=1.158, 95% CI: 1.033~1.297) were identified as risk factors of severe suicide risk, while good relationships with classmates (OR=0.908, 95% CI: 0.826~0.998) and family (OR=0.904, 95% CI: 0.823~0.993) were protective factors. ConclusionSleep quality in adolescents with depression is negatively correlated with suicide risk and poor sleep quality may be a risk factor for severe suicide risk.

Objective:
To investigate the effect of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which is dominated by nurses, on depression in patients with acute leukemia.
Methods:
Patients with acute leukemia admitted to the Department of Hematology, Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine were evaluated with a rapid depressive symptom (QIDS-SR16) self-rating scale. Patients with a score higher than 11 were psychiatrists from the Shanghai Mental Health Center. Interviews and Hamilton Depression Rating (HAMD-17) assessment and clinical stereotype examination (SCID-I) diagnostic screening were performed. Patients with significant depressive symptoms who met the inclusion criteria were included (without considering DSM-5 diagnosis for depressive disorder). The computer random number method was assigned to the control group (group C), the therapist-led group CBT group (group T), the group CBT group with the nurse as the main body and therapists as the supervisors (group N). The group C was given the conventional method and the group T and N was given the standardized group CBT once a week for 8 weeks. Interviews were performed at baseline (before intervention), 4 weeks, and 8 weekends to assess the HAMD scale score.
Results:
Finally, 90 patients were enrolled, 30 in each group. At the end of the 4th week, the HAMD scale score (22.60±2.71) in the group T was lower than that before the intervention (25.77±2.93), and lower than the group N (24.57±2.82) and the group C (25.90± 3.88), the difference was statistically significant (
