1.Effects and mechanisms of swimming for inhibiting traumatic joint contracture in a rat model

		                        			BACKGROUND:Early exercise treatment is the main prevention way for traumatic joint contracture and is also a research focus.Swimming may be a potential intervention for joint contracture due to the special physical properties of water. OBJECTIVE:To explore the effects of swimming on the development of joint contracture in a rat model and study its mechanisms. METHODS:Twenty-four Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a blank control group(n=8)and a joint contracture group(n=16).After the surgical operation of knee joint contracture rat models,the joint contracture group was randomly subdivided into a surgical control group(n=8)and a swimming treatment group(n=8).Swimming started in the swimming treatment group in the second week after surgery and lasted for a total of 5 weeks.At the 6th week after surgery,the body mass,knee joint range of motion,and quadriceps diameter were tested,and the diameter/body mass index was calculated.Hematoxylin-eosin staining was performed to detect the pathological changes in the knee joint capsule and quadriceps muscle,and Masson staining was used to observe fibrotic changes in the knee joint capsule.Furthermore,the protein expression of transforming growth factor β1 and type I collagen in the knee joint capsule was quantified by immunohistochemical assay and western blot was performed to detect the protein expression of MuRF1 in the quadriceps femoris. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Compared with the blank control group,the knee range of motion decreased in the surgical control and swimming treatment groups(P<0.01),and knee extension deficit and arthrogenic extension deficit were significantly increased(P<0.01),the diameter of the quadriceps muscle was decreased(P<0.01),the joint capsule showed significant fibrosis,the quadriceps muscle was atrophied,and the diameter/body mass index was decreased(P<0.01).Compared with the surgical control group,the swimming treatment group showed a significant increase in knee joint range of motion and quadriceps diameter(P<0.01),and significant improvement in joint capsule fibrosis and quadriceps atrophy.Compared with the blank control group,collagen fiber content and expression of transforming growth factor β1 and type I collagen were increased in the joint capsule of rats in both the surgical control group and the swimming treatment group(P<0.01).Compared with the surgical control group,collagen fiber content and expression of transforming growth factor β1 and type I collagen protein in the joint capsule were decreased in the swimming treatment group.Compared with the blank control group,the expression of MuRF1 protein in the quadriceps muscle of rats in the surgical control group and the swimming treatment group was increased(P<0.05).Compared with the surgical control group,the expression of MuRF1 protein in the quadriceps muscle of rats in the swimming treatment group was decreased(P<0.05).To conclude,early swimming intervention reduces transforming growth factor β1 and type I collagen expression in the joint capsule of traumatic joint contracture rats,decreases MuRF1 expression in the quadriceps muscle,and increases joint range of motion and quadriceps diameter,thereby inhibiting the development of joint contracture.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
2.Investigation on the Correlation Between Traditional Chinese Medicine Constitution and Pathogenic Factors in Patients with Ankylosing Spondylitis

		                        			Objective To study the correlation between traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)constitution and pathogenic factors in patients with ankylosing spondylitis(AS).Methods One hundred patients of AS and their family members who had medical consultation in the Fifth Hospital of Xi'an(i.e.,Shaanxi Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine)in August 2019 and September 2020 were selected as the study subjects.The guidelines of Classification and Determination of Traditional Chinese Medicine Constitution issued by the China Association of Chinese Medicine were adopted to determine the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)constitution types of the study subjects.The sociodemographic information,living habits,clinical symptoms,and TCM constitution types of the AS patients and their family members were collected by means of questionnaires and clinical investigations,and then the pathogenic factors of the patients with AS were investigated.The binomial Logistic regression model was used to analyze the correlation between TCM constitution types and pathogenic factors in patients with AS.Results(1)Among the 100 AS patients,the majority of them had the biased constitutions,and the biased constitutions with the occurrence frequency in descending order were yang deficiency constitution,qi deficiency constitution,and damp-heat constitution,which accounted for 33.00%,14.00%,and 18.00%,respectively.(2)The prevalence rates of AS in the first-,second-,and third-degree relatives of AS patients were 56.25%,40.00%and 25.00%,respectively.For the positive rates of human leukocyte antigen B27(HLA-B27)in AS patients and their family members,HLA-B27 in AS patients was all positive,while the positive rates of HLA-B27 in the first-,second-,and third-degree relatives of AS patients were 44.31%,30.67%and 15.63%,respectively.(3)The results of regression analysis showed that the disease duration of AS patients was significantly correlated with qi deficiency constitution,the grading of sacroiliac arthritis was correlated with qi stagnation constitution,and age was correlated with blood stasis constitution(P<0.05 or P<0.01).The results indicated that disease duration and age were the important factors affecting the constitution types of AS patients,and disease duration was closely related to qi deficiency while age was closely related to blood stasis.Conclusion AS is a highly hereditary autoimmune disease,and its onset is associated with HLA-B27.Yang deficiency is the basic constitution type of AS,and damp-heat constitution is the main constitution type in the progression of AS(especially in the active stage of the disease).The prolongation of the disease will exacerbate the illness condition of AS and then the manifestations of qi deficiency will be more obvious.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
3.Establishment of HPLC characteristic chromatogram and quantitative transmission laws for Baqi Rougan Decoction reference sample

		                        			AIM To establish the HPLC characteristic chromatogram of Baqi Rougan Decoction reference sample,and to investigate its quantitative transmission laws.METHODS The contents of calycosin 7-O-glucoside,hesperidin,rosmarinic acid,curcumenol and nystose were determined.The transfer rates of decoction piece-aqueous decoction-reference sample were calculated,after which the paste-forming rate and pH value were recorded.RESULTS There were sixteen characteristic peaks in fifteen batches of reference samples with the similarities of 0.90,nine of which were identified.The average transfer rates of nystose and calycosin 7-O-glucoside in the reference sample were(83.14±6.25)%and(77.81±8.31)%,while those of rosmarinic acid and curcumenol in the aqueous decoction-reference sample were(81.71±6.27)%and(72.16±5.91)%,along with the average paste-forming rate and pH value of(38.91%±1.46%)and 5.13±0.08,respectively.CONCLUSION This stable and feasible method can provide a reference for the selection of preparation process and evaluation of key chemical properties for Baqi Rougan Decoction.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
4.Study on the correlation between angiopoietin-2 and prognosis in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome

		                        			Objective:To evaluate the predictive value of angiopoietin-2 (Ang-2) for the prognosis in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).Methods:A retrospective study was conducted, and ARDS patients admitted to the department of emergency medicine of Tongde Hospital of Zhejiang Province from December 2020 to September 2022 were enrolled. General information including gender, age, causes of ARDS, disease severity scores, plasma Ang-2 levels before treatment and at 24, 48, and 72 hours after treatment, and record the 60-day prognosis were collected. Differences in clinical data between groups were compared. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to identify the independent risk factors affecting the 60-day prognosis of ARDS patients, and the receiver operator characteristic curve (ROC curve) was plotted to assess the predictive value of these risk factors for patient outcomes. Pearson correlation analysis was used to assess the correlation between Ang-2 and pulmonary vascular permeability index (PVPI) and extravascular lung water index (EVLWI).Results:A total of 132 ARDS patients were included, of which 49 patients died within 60 days and 83 patients survived. In the death group, plasma Ang-2 levels showed a gradually increasing trend, all significantly higher than before treatment (μg/L: 12.75±1.81, 12.74±1.48, 13.45±2.21 vs. 5.98±0.57, all P < 0.05), while the trend in the survival group was not significant. At 24, 48, and 72 hours after treatment, plasma Ang-2 levels in the death group were significantly higher than those in the survival group (μg/L: 12.75±1.81 vs. 7.48±1.22, 12.74±1.48 vs. 7.41±1.19, 13.45±1.41 vs. 6.88±1.41, all P < 0.05). After adjusting for confounding variables, increased plasma Ang-2 level was an independent risk factor for prognosis in ARDS patients within 60 days [odds ratio ( OR) = 0.998, 95% confidence interval (95% CI) was 0.997-0.999, P < 0.01]. ROC curve analysis demonstrated that Ang-2 levels had predictive value for prognosis in ARDS patients [area under the ROC curve (AUC) = 0.985, 95% CI was 0.971-1.000, approximate maximum Youden's index 0.867, optimal cut-off value 8.43 μg/L]. Pearson correlation analysis showed that plasma Ang-2 levels were positively correlated with PVPI and EVLWI ( r values were 0.620 and 0.712 respectively, both P < 0.01). Conclusions:Elevated level of Ang-2 is an independent risk factor for increased mortality in patients with ARDS. 5.Risk factors of gastrointestinal bleeding after type A aortic dissection

		                        			Objective To analyze the risk factors of gastrointestinal bleeding in patients with type A aortic dissection(TAAD)after Sun's operation.Methods The clinical data of 87 patients who underwent TAAD Sun's operation in our hospital from March 2021 to June 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.They were divided into the bleeding group and the non-bleeding group according to whether there was gastrointestinal bleeding after operation.The clinical data of patients in the two groups was compared and analyzed.The binary Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the risk factors of gastrointestinal bleeding.The clinical predictor of postoperative gastrointestinal bleeding was analyzed by receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve.Results In this study,there were 40 cases of postoperative gastrointestinal bleeding(the bleeding group)and 47 cases of non-bleeding(the non-bleeding group).Compared with the non-bleeding group,the bleeding group had a shorter onset time,a higher proportion of patients with hypertension history,a higher preoperative creatinine abnormality rate,more intraoperative blood loss,longer postoperative mechanical ventilation time,higher postoperative infection rate,and higher poor prognosis rate,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the gender,age,gastrointestinal diseases history,smoking history,preoperative platelets,preoperative international normalized ratio(INR),preoperative alanine aminotransferase(ALT),preoperative aspartate aminotransferase(AST),preoperative γ-glutamyl transpeptidase(GGT),preoperative dissection involving abdominal aorta,operation time,intraoperative cardiopulmonary bypass time,intraoperative circulatory arrest time,intraoperative aortic occlusion time or intraoperative blood transfusion rate.Logistic regression analysis showed that hypertension history(OR=2.468,95%CI:0.862 to 7.067,P=0.037),preoperative creatinine>105 μmol/L(OR=3.970,95%CI:1.352 to 11.659,P=0.011),long postoperative mechanical ventilation time(OR=1.015,95%CI:0.094 to 1.018,P=0.041)and postoperative infection(OR=3.435,95%CI:0.991 to 11.900,P=0.012)were the independent risk factors for postoperative gastrointestinal bleeding in TAAD patients.ROC curve showed that the postoperative mechanical ventilation time exceeding 64 hours were the clinical predictor of postoperative gastrointestinal bleeding in TAAD patients.Conclusion The prognosis of TAAD patients with postoperative gastrointestinal bleeding after Sun's operation is poor.Hypertension history,preoperative acute renal insufficiency,long postoperative mechanical ventilation time and postoperative infection are closely related to postoperative gastrointestinal bleeding in TAAD patients after operation,which should be paid more attention to,and corresponding evaluation,early identification and early intervention should be made to improve the prognosis of patients.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
6.Posterior femoral composite tissue flap pedicled with inferior gluteal artery for repair of huge sacrococcygel pressure injuries

		                        			Objective To investigate the clinical effect of posterior femoral composite tissue flap pedicled with inferior gluteal artery for repair of huge sacrococcygeal pressure injuries.Methods The clinical data of 11 patients with huge sacrococcygeal pressure injuries admitted to our hospital were retrospectively analyzed,with a mean wounds area of(205.3±15.3)cm2,and the depth of the wounds all reached the sacrococcygeal bone surface with partial sacrococcygeal necrosis.The inferior gluteal artery and its perforating branch were investigated with ultrasonic Doppler flow detector before operation,the posterior femoral composite tissue flap pedicled with inferior gluteal artery was designed according to the wound surface,and then the chronic sacrococcygeal wound was repaired.The operation time,intraoperative blood loss,wound healing,postoperative skin flap survival and occurrence of complications were recorded.The skin flap color,temperature and two-point discernability were monitored to evaluate skin flap sensory sensitivity.The visual analog scale(VAS)was used to evaluate the satisfaction of appearance.Results The operation time of patients was(2.8±0.1)hours and the intraoperative blood loss was(235.4±10.2)mL.The posterior femoral composite tissue flap pedicled with inferior gluteal artery of all the 11 patients survived.The distal part of the flap was necrotic in 1 case,which healed well after local debridement and suturing by amplification;other wounds healed well in the first stage without complications such as infection,fat liquefaction or hematoma.The skin flap has good color,soft texture,and good elasticity,with good healing in the donor area.There were significant differences in the skin flap temperature,two-point discernability and VAS score of appearance satisfaction between 12 months after operation and other time points(P<0.05).Conclusion The posterior femoral composite tissue flap pedicled with inferior gluteal artery has a constant blood supply,without damage to the main blood vessels.It can be transposed at anterograde or retrograde direction,with simple operation and less damage,which can reconstruct flap sense,and has significant clinical efficacy in repairing huge sacrococcygeal pressure injuries.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
7.Mechanism of curcumin inhibiting choroidal neovascularization in brown Norway rat

		                        			 AIM:To investigate the mechanism of curcumin inhibiting the choroidal neovascularization(CNV)of brown Norway(BN)rats.METHODS: CNV model of 36 BN rats was established through laser photocoagulation induction, and they were divided into 6 groups with 6 rats in each group. Normal group was fed normally with no intervention, while 532nm laser photocoagulation was used to establish a experimental CNV model in BN rats. Rats after modeling were respectively intervened for 14d and divided into model group, ranibizumab group, curcumin low [100mg/(kg·d)], medium [200mg/(kg·d)], and high [400mg/(kg·d)] dose group. The model group was given intragastric administration of saline for 14d, ranibizumab(10mg/mL, 0.2mL/dose)was injected at 2d after photocoagulation with 5μL once for rats in ranibizumab group, and different concentrations of curcumin were intragastrically administrated to the rats in low, medium and high groups for 14d. Fundus photography, fundus fluorescein angiography(FFA)and indocyanine green angiography(ICGA)examination were performed at 14d after photocoagulation. Ocular histopathological specimens of rats with CNV were made, and the central thickness of CNV were observed by HE staining. Ocular histopathological specimens were made, and the expressions of AKT/p-AKT/HIF-1α/VEGF signaling pathway-related proteins were observed by immunohistochemistry. The mRNA relative expressions of AKT/HIF-1α/VEGF factor in CNV tissues were detected by RT-qPCR, and the protein expressions of AKT/p-AKT/HIF-1α/VEGF factor in CNV tissues were detected by Western-blot.RESULTS: CNV generation rates in the model group, the ranibizumab group, and the low, medium and high-dose curcumin groups were 78.18%, 73.21%, 77.19%, 75.86%, 74.55%, respectively, which were higher than 70%. The average absorbance were 182.12±6.59, 119.22±8.03, 166.45±8.33, 164.34±5.69, 149.22±6.45, respectively; the ranibizumab group was significantly lower than the model group(P<0.05); the low-dose, medium-dose and high-dose groups were significantly higher than the ranibizumab group(P<0.05), and the curcumin high-dose group was significantly lower than the model group(P<0.05). HE staining showed that the retinal tissue structure of BN rats in normal group was clear and neatly arranged. The central thickness of CNV in the ranibizumab group was significantly reduced at 14d after photocoagulation compared with the model group(P<0.05); While the curcumin high-dose group was significantly reduced compared with the model group(P<0.05), but increased when compared with ranibizumab group(P<0.05). Immunohistochemistry results showed that AKT, p-AKT, HIF-1α, and VEGF factors were negatively expressed in the retinal tissue structure of BN rats in the normal group, and no brown-yellow reactants were found. The expression of AKT, p-AKT, HIF-1α, and VEGF factors in the model group were higher than that in the normal group at 14d after photocoagulation(P<0.05); the ranibizumab group was lower than the model group(P<0.05). While the expression of the curcumin high-dose group was significantly decreased compared with the model group(P<0.05), but significantly increased when compared with ranibizumab group(P<0.05). The mRNA results showed that the relative expression levels of AKT, HIF-1α and VEGF mRNA in the model group at 14d after photocoagulation were higher than those of the normal group(P<0.05); the ranibizumab group was lower than the model group(P<0.05). While curcumin high-dose group was significantly decreased compared with the model group(P<0.05), but significantly increased when compared with ranibizumab group(P<0.05). Western-blot results showed that there was no significant difference in the relative expression of AKT protein among each experimental groups at 14d after photocoagulation. The relative expression of p-AKT protein in the model group was significantly higher than that in the normal group(P<0.05); the ranibizumab group was significantly lower than the model group(P<0.05); the curcumin high-dose group was significantly lower than the model group(P<0.05). The relative expression levels of HIF-1α protein were significantly higher in the model group than in the normal group(P<0.05), and the ranibizumab group was lower than in the model group(P<0.05). The relative expression levels of HIF-1α protein was lower in the curcumin high-dose group than in the model group(P<0.05)but higher than ranibizumab group(P<0.05). The relative expression level of VEGF protein was significantly lower in the curcumin medium/high-dose group than in the model group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION: Curcumin at 400mg/(kg·d)has an inhibitory effect on CNV in BN rats. 8.HbA1c comparison and diagnostic efficacy analysis of multi center different glycosylated hemoglobin detection systems.

		                        			Objective: Compare and analyze the results of the domestic Lanyi AH600 glycated hemoglobin analyzer and other different detection systems to understand the comparability of the detection results of different detectors, and establish the best cut point of Lanyi AH600 determination of haemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) in the diagnosis of diabetes. Methods: Multi center cohort study was adopted. The clinical laboratory departments of 18 medical institutions independently collected test samples from their respective hospitals from March to April 2022, and independently completed comparative analysis of the evaluated instrument (Lanyi AH600) and the reference instrument HbA1c. The reference instruments include four different brands of glycosylated hemoglobin meters, including Arkray, Bio-Rad, DOSOH, and Huizhong. Scatter plot was used to calculate the correlation between the results of different detection systems, and the regression equation was calculated. The consistency analysis between the results of different detection systems was evaluated by Bland Altman method. Consistency judgment principles: (1) When the 95% limits of agreement (95% LoA) of the measurement difference was within 0.4% HbA1c and the measurement score was≥80 points, the comparison consistency was good; (2) When the measurement difference of 95% LoA exceeded 0.4% HbA1c, and the measurement score was≥80 points, the comparison consistency was relatively good; (3) The measurement score was less than 80 points, the comparison consistency was poor. The difference between the results of different detection systems was tested by paired sample T test or Wilcoxon paired sign rank sum test; The best cut-off point of diabetes was analyzed by receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC). Results: The correlation coefficient R2 of results between Lanyi AH600 and the reference instrument in 16 hospitals is≥0.99; The Bland Altman consistency analysis showed that the difference of 95% LoA in Nanjing Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital in Jiangsu Province (reference instrument: Arkray HA8180) was -0.486%-0.325%, and the measurement score was 94.6 points (473/500); The difference of 95% LoA in the Tibetan Traditional Medical Hospital of TAR (reference instrument: Bio-Rad Variant II) was -0.727%-0.612%, and the measurement score was 89.8 points; The difference of 95% LoA in the People's Hospital of Chongqing Liang Jiang New Area (reference instrument: Huizhong MQ-2000PT) was -0.231%-0.461%, and the measurement score was 96.6 points; The difference of 95% LoA in the Taihe Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine in Anhui Province (reference instrument: Huizhong MQ-2000PT) was -0.469%-0.479%, and the measurement score was 91.9 points. The other 14 hospitals, Lanyi AH600, were compared with 4 reference instrument brands, the difference of 95% LoA was less than 0.4% HbA1c, and the scores were all greater than 95 points. The results of paired sample T test or Wilcoxon paired sign rank sum test showed that there was no statistically significant difference between Lanyi AH600 and the reference instrument Arkray HA8180 (Z=1.665,P=0.096), with no statistical difference. The mean difference between the measured values of the two instruments was 0.004%. The comparison data of Lanyi AH600 and the reference instrument of all other institutions had significant differences (all P<0.001), however, it was necessary to consider whether it was within the clinical acceptable range in combination with the results of the Bland-Altman consistency analysis. The ROC curve of HbA1c detected by Lanyi AH600 in 985 patients with diabetes and 3 423 patients with non-diabetes was analyzed, the area under curve (AUC) was 0.877, the standard error was 0.007, and the 95% confidence interval 95%CI was (0.864, 0.891), which was statistically significant (P<0.001). The maximum value of Youden index was 0.634, and the corresponding HbA1c cut point was 6.235%. The sensitivity and specificity of diabetes diagnosis were 76.2% and 87.2%, respectively. Conclusion: Among the hospitals and instruments currently included in this study, among these four hospitals included Nanjing Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital in Jiangsu Province (reference instrument: Arkray HA8180), Tibetan Traditional Medical Hospital of TAR (reference instrument: Bio-Rad Variant Ⅱ), the People's Hospital of Chongqing Liang Jiang New Area (reference instrument: Huizhong MQ-2000PT), and the Taihe Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine in Anhui Province (reference instrument: Huizhong MQ-2000PT), the comparison between Lanyi AH600 and the reference instruments showed relatively good consistency, while the other 14 hospitals involved four different brands of reference instruments: Arkray, Bio-Rad, DOSOH, and Huizhong, Lanyi AH600 had good consistency with its comparison. 		                        			Objective: This cross-sectional investigation aimed to determine the incidence, clinical characteristics, prognosis, and related risk factors of olfactory and gustatory dysfunctions related to infection with the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron strain in mainland China. Methods: Data of patients with SARS-CoV-2 from December 28, 2022, to February 21, 2023, were collected through online and offline questionnaires from 45 tertiary hospitals and one center for disease control and prevention in mainland China. The questionnaire included demographic information, previous health history, smoking and alcohol drinking, SARS-CoV-2 vaccination, olfactory and gustatory function before and after infection, other symptoms after infection, as well as the duration and improvement of olfactory and gustatory dysfunction. The self-reported olfactory and gustatory functions of patients were evaluated using the Olfactory VAS scale and Gustatory VAS scale. Results: A total of 35 566 valid questionnaires were obtained, revealing a high incidence of olfactory and taste dysfunctions related to infection with the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron strain (67.75%). Females(χ2=367.013, P<0.001) and young people(χ2=120.210, P<0.001) were more likely to develop these dysfunctions. Gender(OR=1.564, 95%CI: 1.487-1.645), SARS-CoV-2 vaccination status (OR=1.334, 95%CI: 1.164-1.530), oral health status (OR=0.881, 95%CI: 0.839-0.926), smoking history (OR=1.152, 95%CI=1.080-1.229), and drinking history (OR=0.854, 95%CI: 0.785-0.928) were correlated with the occurrence of olfactory and taste dysfunctions related to SARS-CoV-2(above P<0.001). 44.62% (4 391/9 840) of the patients who had not recovered their sense of smell and taste also suffered from nasal congestion, runny nose, and 32.62% (3 210/9 840) suffered from dry mouth and sore throat. The improvement of olfactory and taste functions was correlated with the persistence of accompanying symptoms(χ2=10.873, P=0.001). The average score of olfactory and taste VAS scale was 8.41 and 8.51 respectively before SARS-CoV-2 infection, but decreased to3.69 and 4.29 respectively after SARS-CoV-2 infection, and recovered to 5.83and 6.55 respectively at the time of the survey. The median duration of olfactory and gustatory dysfunctions was 15 days and 12 days, respectively, with 0.5% (121/24 096) of patients experiencing these dysfunctions for more than 28 days. The overall self-reported improvement rate of smell and taste dysfunctions was 59.16% (14 256/24 096). Gender(OR=0.893, 95%CI: 0.839-0.951), SARS-CoV-2 vaccination status (OR=1.334, 95%CI: 1.164-1.530), history of head and facial trauma(OR=1.180, 95%CI: 1.036-1.344, P=0.013), nose (OR=1.104, 95%CI: 1.042-1.171, P=0.001) and oral (OR=1.162, 95%CI: 1.096-1.233) health status, smoking history(OR=0.765, 95%CI: 0.709-0.825), and the persistence of accompanying symptoms (OR=0.359, 95%CI: 0.332-0.388) were correlated with the recovery of olfactory and taste dysfunctions related to SARS-CoV-2 (above P<0.001 except for the indicated values). Conclusion: The incidence of olfactory and taste dysfunctions related to infection with the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron strain is high in mainland China, with females and young people more likely to develop these dysfunctions. Active and effective intervention measures may be required for cases that persist for a long time. The recovery of olfactory and taste functions is influenced by several factors, including gender, SARS-CoV-2 vaccination status, history of head and facial trauma, nasal and oral health status, smoking history, and persistence of accompanying symptoms.

10.Clinical experience of REcanalisation and balloon-oriented puncture for Re-insertion of long- term dialysis catheter in nonpatent central veins.

		                        			It is difficult to insert long-term dialysis catheters after severe stenosis or occlusion of the internal jugular vein and innominate vein. We used REcanalisation and balloon-oriented puncture for Re-insertion of dialysis catheter in nonpatent central veins (REBORN) in seven patients with severe central venous lesions, and all patients were inserted with long-term dialysis catheters successfully. None had severe complications such as pneumothorax, hemothorax, or pulmonary embolism during operation. All catheters functioned well after postoperative follow-up of 2 months.
