1.Pharmacodynamic and Mechanism of Anti-influenza Effect of Jiawei Xiangru Oral Liquid

		                        			OBJECTIVE 
		                        			To observe the anti-influenza effect of Jiawei Xiangru oral liquid through MDCK cells and mice, and predict its therapeutic mechanism for influenza based on network pharmacology.
METHODS 
Observed the effect of different concentrations of Jiawei Xiangru oral liquid on MDCK cell damage caused by influenza A virus type 3 and its protective effect on influenza virus infected mice. The effective ingredients and action targets of each drug were collected through the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform(TCMSP). Collect influenza disease related targets using GeneCards 5.14, OMMI and other databases, and construct a network diagram. Build PPI network diagrams, GO enrichment, and KEGG pathway analysis using STRING and Metascape databases. Complete molecular docking and 3D visualization display using AutoDockTools and PyMOL software.
RESULTS 
In vitro experiments shown that the Jiawei Xiangru oral liquid had a significant inhibitory effect on MDCK cell damage and hemagglutination caused by influenza virus. In vivo experiments shown that it could prolong the survival time of mice infected with influenza A virus, improve the death protection rate of mice infected with the virus, and reduce the lung index and lung tissue virus titer of mice. The 82 active ingredients and 168 common targets were screened, with carotenoid, folic acid, 3'- methoxy daidzein, coellitin, and kaempferol as key components, and TNF, AKT1, EGFR, STAT3, SRC, MMP9, and PTGS2 as core targets. KEGG pathway enrichment analysis showed that the main mechanism of action maight exert anti-influenza virus effects through the TNF signaling pathway, chemokine signaling pathway, PI3K/Akt signaling pathway, and VEGF signaling pathway.
CONCLUSION 
Pharmacodynamics have shown that the Jiawei Xiangru oral liquid can effectively treat influenza diseases, and its mechanism maybe related to the synergistic regulation of "multi components, multi targets, and multi pathways".
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
2.Total body water percentage and 3rd space water are novel risk factors for training-related lower extremity muscle injuries in young males

		                        			Purpose::To identify the risk factors for training-related lower extremity muscle injuries in young males by a non-invasive method of body composition analysis.Methods::A total of 282 healthy young male volunteers aged 18 -20 years participated in this cohort study. Injury location, degree, and injury rate were adjusted by a questionnaire based on the overuse injury assessment methods used in epidemiological studies of sports injuries. The occurrence of training injuries is monitored and diagnosed by physicians and treated accordingly. The body composition was measured using the BodyStat QuadScan 4000 multifrequency Bio-impedance system at 5, 50, 100 and 200 kHz to obtain 4 impedance values. The Shapiro-Wilk test was used to check whether the data conformed to a normal distribution. Data of normal distribution were shown as mean ± SD and analyzed by t-test, while those of non-normal distribution were shown as median (Q 1, Q 3) and analyzed by Wilcoxon rank sum test. The receiver operator characteristic curve and logistic regression analysis were performed to investigate risk factors for developing training-related lower extremity injuries and accuracy. Results::Among the 282 subjects, 78 (27.7%) developed training injuries. Lower extremity training injuries revealed the highest incidence, accounting for 23.4% (66 cases). These patients showed higher percentages of lean body mass ( p = 0.001), total body water (TBW, p=0.006), extracellular water ( p=0.020) and intracellular water ( p=0.010) as well as a larger ratio of basal metabolic rate/total weight ( p=0.006), compared with those without lower extremity muscle injuries. On the contrary, the percentage of body fat ( p=0.001) and body fat mass index ( p=0.002) were lower. Logistic regression analysis showed that TBW percentage > 65.35% ( p=0.050, odds ratio =3.114) and 3rd space water > 0.95% ( p=0.045, odds ratio =2.342) were independent risk factors for lower extremity muscle injuries. Conclusion::TBW percentage and 3rd space water measured with bio-impedance method are potential risk factors for predicting the incidence of lower extremity muscle injuries in young males following training.

		                        			Human brain banks use a standardized protocol to collect,process and store post-mortem human brains and related tissues,along with relevant clinical information,and to provide the tissue samples and data as a resource to foster neuroscience research according to a standardized operating protocols(SOP).Human brain bank serves as the foundation for neuroscience research and the diagnosis of neurological disorders,highlighting the crucial rule of ensuring the consistency of standardized quality for brain tissue samples.The first version of SOP in 2017 was published by the China Human Brain Bank Consortium.As members increases from different regions in China,a revised SOP was drafted by experts from the China Human Brain Bank Consortium to meet the growing demands for neuroscience research.The revised SOP places a strong emphasis on ethical standards,incorporates neuropathological evaluation of brain regions,and provides clarity on spinal cord sampling and pathological assessment.Notable enhancements in this updated version of the SOP include reinforced ethical guidelines,inclusion of matching controls in recruitment,and expansion of brain regions to be sampled for neuropathological evaluation.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
4.The inhibitory effect of artesunate on hepatocellular carcinoma cells by regulating expression of GADD45A and NACC1

		                        			Aim To explore the effect and mechanism of the artesunate(ART)on hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods The cell lines MHCC-97H and HCC-LM3 were used to be detected.MTT and clone formation were used to determine the cell proliferation;Wound healing was used to detect the cell migration;Transwell was used to test the cell invasion.Flow-cy-tometry was used to detect cell apoptosis and cell cy-cle.RNA-seq and qRT-PCR was used to detect the genes expression.Results The proliferation,migra-tion and invasion of treated cells were obviously inhibi-ted(P<0.01).Moreover,the apoptosis rate in-creased significantly,so did the proportion of G2/M cells.Transcriptomic analysis identified GADD45A as a potential target of ART through RNA-sequencing da-ta,and suggested that ART might induce apoptosis and cell cycle arrest through regulating the expression of GADD45A.In addition,the results of mechanism studies and signaling analysis suggested that GADD45A had interaction with its upstream gene NACC1(nucle-us accumbens associated 1).Moreover,after ART treatment,the expressions of GADD45A and NACC1 were changed significantly.Conclusion ART may be a potential drug to resist HCC by affecting the expres-sion of GADD45A and its upstream gene NACC1,which provides a new drug,a new direction and a new method for the clinical treatment of HCC.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
5.Multicenter epidemiological characteristics of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection in children in Hainan Province, 2012-2020

		                        			Abstract:  Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics (season, age, gender, mixed infection and clinical manifestations, etc.) of Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) infection in children in Hainan Province, so as to provide epidemiological evidence-based medical basis for the prevention and control of MP infection in children in Hainan Province. Methods The serum IgM antibodies of MP, Legionella pneumophila, Chlamydia pneumoniae, adenovirus, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), Q fever Rickettsia, parainfluenza virus, influenza A virus and influenza B virus in children with respiratory tract infections (RTIs) who were hospitalized in pediatrics of many hospitals in Hainan Province from March 2012 to February 2020 were detected by indirect immunofluorescence method. The positive serum MP-IgM antibody was defined as MP infection. The epidemiological and clinical data of MP infected cases were analyzed retrospectively. Results From March, 2012 to February, 2020, a total of 35 731 qualified pediatric inpatients with RTIs in many hospitals in Hainan Province were tested for serum MP-IgM with the total positive rate of 39.12% (13 978/35 731). The yearly positive rates of MP-IgM from 2012 to 2020 were 48.39%, 56.23%, 56.62%, 47.04%, 29.71%, 24.14%, 47.55%, 36.84% and 24.46% respectively. The positive rates of MP-IgM in 2013 and 2014 were significantly higher than those in other years (P<0.05). The positive rate of MP-IgM in summer in Hainan Province was the highest (41.34%) and the lowest in winter (35.77%) (P<0.05). MP infection occurred in all age groups, the positive rate of MP-IgM in children of preschool (51.80%) was significantly higher than that in other age groups (P<0.01), and the positive rate of MP IgM in children of infancy (15.36%) was lower than that in other age groups (P<0.01). The positive rate of MP-IgM in female was 44.77%, which was significantly higher than that in male (35.83%) (P<0.05). MP infection combined with positive IgM of another pathogen accounted for 32.63% (4 561 cases), positive IgM of another two pathogens accounted for 1.26% (176 cases). MP infection was mostly found in pneumonia (68.73%), and the main clinical symptoms were cough (84.72%), fever (51.01%) and wheezing (3.16%). Conclusions MP is an important pathogen of respiratory tract infection in children in Hainan Province, and infection is more common in children in early school age and early childhood. Mp-specific tests should be performed to identify the pathogen in children suspected of MP infection. 6.Prevalence of chronic kidney disease and its association with lifestyle factors in adults from 10 regions of China.

		                        			Objective: To investigate the distribution of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in participants from the China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB) study and evaluate the association between lifestyle risk factors and CKD. Methods: Based on the baseline survey data and follow-up data (as of December 31, 2018) of the CKB study, the differences in CKD cases' area and population distributions were described. Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to estimate the association between lifestyle risk factors and the risk of CKD. Results: A total of 505 147 participants, 4 920 cases of CKD were recorded in 11.26 year follow up with a incidence rate of 83.43/100 000 person-years. Glomerulonephropathy was the most common type. The incidence of CKD was higher in the urban area, men, and the elderly aged 60 years and above (87.83/100 000 person-years, 86.37/100 000 person-years, and 132.06/100 000 person-years). Current male smokers had an increased risk for CKD compared with non-smokers or occasional smokers (HR=1.18, 95%CI: 1.05-1.31). The non-obese population was used as a control group, both general obesity determined by BMI (HR=1.19, 95%CI: 1.10-1.29) and central obesity determined by waist circumference (HR=1.27, 95%CI: 1.19-1.35) were associated with higher risk for CKD. Conclusion: The risks for CKD varied with area and population in the CKB cohort study, and the risk was influenced by multiple lifestyle factors.

		                        			Multiple sclerosis(MS) shows the pathological characteristics of "inflammatory injury of white matter" and "myelin repair disability" in the central nervous system(CNS). It is very essential for MS treatment and reduction of disease burden to strengthen repair, improve function, and reduce disability. Accordingly, different from the simple immunosuppression, we believe that key to strengthening remyelination and maintaining the "damage-repair" homeostasis of tissue is to change the current one-way immunosuppression strategy and achieve the "moderate pro-inflammation-effective inflammation removal" homeostasis. Traditional Chinese medicine shows huge potential in this strategy. Through literature research, this study summarized the research on remyelination, discussed the "mode-rate pro-inflammation-effective inflammation removal" homeostasis and the "damage-repair" homeostasis based on microglia, and summed up the key links in remyelination in MS. 8. The reversal effect of albiflorin on multidrug resistance of human ovarian cancer and its mechanism

		                        			 Aim To study the reversal effect of albiflorin(AL)on multidrug resistance of human ovarian cancer and the potential mechanism. Methods The drug resistance reversal effect of AL on SKOV3/DDP cells was detected by CCK-8 kit,and the effect of AL on P-glycoprotein(P-gp)function was detected by flow cytometry. The effects of AL on MYC,WWP1 and ABCB1 in SKOV3/DDP cells were detected by RT-qPCR and Western blot. The MYC-knockdown SKOV3/DDP cell line was constructed by RNA interference technology,and its drug resistance,P-gp function and related gene and protein expression changes were investigated. Results AL had a drug resistance reversal effect on SKOV3/DDP cells and a concentration-dependent inhibitory effect on P-gp function. The inhibitory effects of AL 25,50 and 100 μmol·L-1 on ABCB1/P-gp,MYC and WWP1 were gradually enhanced. The inhibitory effect of MYCi975,a MYC inhibitor,on ABCB1/P-gp,MYC and WWP1 was stronger than or equivalent to that of AL 100 μmol·L-1 group. After knockdown of MYC in SKOV3/DDP cells,cell drug resistance,P-gp function,and related gene and protein expression were inhibited. Conclusions The drug resistance reversal effect of AL on SKOV3/DDP cells may be related to the inhibition of P-gp function and the expression of ABCB1/P-gp,MYC and WWP1,which provides an experiment base for the development of AL as a drug resistance reversal agent for the clinical treatment of ovarian cancer. 
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
9.Naochang Tongtiao acupuncture based on brain-gut axis for acute ischemic stroke and its effect on levels of IL-17, hs-CRP and TMAO.

		                        			OBJECTIVE:
		                        			To compare the clinical therapeutic effect on acute ischemic stroke between Naochang Tongtiao acupuncture (acupuncture for brain-gut homology) and conventional acupuncture, and to explore the possible mechanism.
		                        		
		                        			METHODS:
		                        			A total of 64 patients with acute ischemic stroke were randomized into an observation group and a control group, 32 cases in each one. Basic western medical therapy was adopted in both groups. In the observation group, Naochang Tongtiao acupuncture was applied at anterior oblique line of vertex-temporal, Zhongwan (CV 12), Guanyuan (CV 4), Tianshu (ST 25), Zusanli (ST 36), Shangjuxu (ST 37) and Xiajuxu (ST 39). In the control group, conventional acupuncture was applied. The treatment was given once a day, 6 days a week for 3 weeks in both groups. Before and after treatment, National Institution of Health stroke scale (NIHSS) score, serum levels of interleukin-17 (IL-17) and hypersensitive C reactive protein (hs-CRP), and plasma level of trimethylamine oxide (TMAO) were compared in the two groups.
		                        		
		                        			RESULTS:
		                        			After treatment, NIHSS scores, serum levels of IL-17 and hs-CRP, and plasma levels of TMAO were decreased compared before treatment in both groups (P<0.01), and those in the observation group were lower than the control group (P<0.05).
		                        		
		                        			CONCLUSION
		                        			Naochang Tongtiao acupuncture can improve the nerve function in patients with acute ischemic stroke, its therapeutic effect is superior to conventional acupuncture, the mechanism may relate to the regulation on inflammatory reaction and the level of intestinal flora metabolite.

10.Risk factors for necrotizing enterocolitis in preterm infants: a Meta analysis.

		                        			OBJECTIVES:
		                        			To systematically evaluate the risk factors for necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) in preterm infants.
		                        		
		                        			METHODS:
		                        			PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and Wanfang Data were searched for case-control studies and cohort studies on the risk factors for NEC in preterm infants published up to December 2021. RevMan 5.3 software was used to perform the Meta analysis.
		                        		
		                        			RESULTS:
		                        			A total of 38 studies were included (28 case-control studies and 10 cohort studies). The Meta analysis showed that maternal gestational diabetes (OR=2.96, P<0.001), intrahepatic cholestasis during pregnancy (OR=2.53, P<0.001), preeclampsia (OR=1.73, P=0.020), history of neonatal asphyxia (OR=2.13, P<0.001), low gestational age (OR=1.23, P=0.010), sepsis (OR=5.32, P<0.001), patent ductus arteriosus (OR=1.57, P=0.001), congenital heart disease (OR=3.78, P<0.001), mechanical ventilation (OR=2.23, P=0.020), history of antibiotic use (OR=1.07, P<0.001), use of vasopressors (OR=2.34, P=0.040), and fasting (OR=1.08, P<0.001) were risk factors for NEC in preterm infants, while cesarean section (OR=0.73, P=0.004), use of pulmonary surfactant (OR=0.43, P=0.008), and breastfeeding (OR=0.24, P=0.020) were protective factors against NEC.
		                        		
		                        			CONCLUSIONS
		                        			Maternal gestational diabetes, intrahepatic cholestasis during pregnancy, preeclampsia, low gestational age, fasting, sepsis, patent ductus arteriosus, congenital heart disease, and histories of asphyxia, mechanical ventilation, antibiotic use, and use of vasopressors may increase the risk of NEC in preterm infants, while cesarean section, use of pulmonary surfactant, and breastfeeding may decrease the risk of NEC in preterm infants.
