Due to the high similarity with the lipid layer between human skin keratinocytes, functional cosmetics with layered liquid crystal structure prepared by liquid crystal emulsification technology encapsulating natural active substances have become a hot research topic in recent years. This type of functional cosmetic often has a fresh and natural skin feel, excellent skin barrier repair function and efficient moisturizing effect, etc., showing great potential in cosmetic application. However, the present research on the application of liquid crystal emulsification technology to functional cosmetics is still in the initial stage, and there are fewer relevant reports with reference values. Based on the mentioned above, this review provides a comprehensive summary of functional cosmetics with layered liquid crystal structures prepared by liquid crystal emulsification technology from the following aspects: the structure of human skin, the composition of lamellar liquid crystal, the advantages of liquid crystal emulsification technology containing natural active substances used in the field of functional cosmetics, the preparation process, main components, influencing factors during the preparation and the market functional cosmetics with lamellar liquid crystal structure. Finally, the prospect of the application of liquid crystal emulsification technology in functional cosmetics is presented, to provide useful references for those engaged in the research of liquid crystal emulsification technology-related functional cosmetics.

Galectin-9 （Gal-9） is a member of the galectin family that can specifically recognize and bind to galactosides. Recent studies have shown that Gal-9 is highly expressed in the liver and can help to maintain intrahepatic immune homeostasis and perform biological functions in various liver diseases. This article reviews the immunomodulatory functions of Gal-9 and its role in different liver diseases. Studies have shown that Gal-9 has important biological functions in different liver diseases through multiple pathways. Research on the specific immunomodulatory mechanisms and functions of Gal-9 may help to discover the therapeutic role of Gal-9 in liver diseases.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of modified Fuzheng Yiliu Decoction(composed of Astragali Radix,Codonopsis Radix,Ligustri Lucidi Fructus,Hedyotis Diffusae Herba,Moutan Cortex,Visci Herba,etc.)combined with XELOX regimen(Oxaliplatin plus Capecitabine)for the treatment of postoperative patients with advanced gastric cancer of qi and yin deficiency type.Methods A total of 80 postoperative patients with advanced gastric cancer of qi and yin deficiency type were randomly divided into the Chinese medicine group and the control group,with 40 cases in each group.Both groups received chemotherapy with XELOX regimen,while the Chinese medicine group was given modified Fuzheng Yiliu Decoction.Three weeks constituted a course of treatment,the medication of Chinese medicine decoction lasted for two weeks or more in each course of treatment,and a total of 8 courses of treatment were performed.The incidence of adverse reactions during chemotherapy was monitored and changes in serum tumor markers of serum carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),carbohydrate antigen 199(CA199)and alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)were observed in the two groups before and after treatment.Moreover,the patients'quality of life was assessed by the scores of Karnofsky's Performance Status(KPS)and World Health Organization Quality of Life Measurement Scale(WHOQOL-100).Long-term follow-up was carried out for the evaluation of the prognostic indicators such as overall survival and one-year and 2-year overall survival rates.Results(1)Patients in the two groups were all followed up,and the median follow-up time was 27 months(95%CI:23.59-27.86).(2)After treatment,the levels of serum CEA and AFP in the Chinese medicine group were significantly lower than those before treatment(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01),while serum CA199 tended to decrease compared with those before treatment,but the difference was not statistically significant(P＞0.05);in the control group,the levels of serum CEA,CA199,and AFP were not significantly decreased after treatment(P＞0.05).The intergroup comparison showed that the decrease of serum CEA,CA199 and AFP levels in the Chinese medicine group was significantly superior to that in the control group(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01).(3)The adverse reactions during chemotherapy in the two groups mainly involved bone marrow suppression,gastrointestinal reactions and liver function abnormalities,etc.The incidences of all adverse reactions in the Chinese medicine group tended to be lower than those in the control group,but the differences were not statistically significant(P＞0.05).(4)After treatment,the KPS scores of patients in both groups were improved compared with those before treatment(P＜0.01),and the improvement in the Chinese medicine group was significantly superior to that in the control group(P＜0.01).(5)After treatment,the scores of the four dimensions of WHOQOL-100 such as health status,mobility,life feelings,and other activities of daily life in the Chinese medicine group were significantly improved compared with the pre-treatment(P＜0.05),whereas there was no significant improvement in the control group(P＞0.05).The intergroup comparison showed that the improvement of the scores of each dimension of the WHOQOL-100 in the Chinese medicine group was significantly superior to that in the control group(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01).(6)The median survival in the Chinese medicine group was 29.0 months(95%CI:25.95-31.70)and that in the control group was 22.0 months(95%CI:19.67-25.58),indicating that the median survival was significantly prolonged in Chinese medicine group(P＜0.01).The one-year and 2-year postoperative survival rates were 97.5%and 77.5%in the Chinese medicine group and 92.5%and 47.5%in the control group,respectively.The intergroup comparison showed that the one-year and 2-year postoperative survival rates in the Chinese medicine group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.01).Conclusion Modified Fuzheng Yiliu Decoction can effectively alleviate the adverse reactions during adjuvant chemotherapy for postoperative patients with advanced gastric cancer of qi and yin deficiency type,improve the quality of life of patients,and prolong the survival time of patients.

Objective:To study the distribution and changes of dopamine transporter (DAT) in guinea pig eyes under different light patterns.Methods:Thirty-six 3-week-old white ordinary-grade guinea pigs were randomly selected and divided into groups of 10 000 lx, 5 000 lx, and 500 lx, with 12 guinea pigs in each group exposed to strong light, medium strong light, and normal light, respectively.Each group was randomly divided into 3 subgroups, with 4 guinea pigs in each subgroup.The 3 subgroups of 500 lx group received light exposure for 5, 20, and 40 minutes, respectively.The 3 subgroups of 5 000 lx group received light exposure for 2, 4, and 40 minutes, respectively.The 3 subgroups of 10 000 lx group received light exposure for 2, 5, and 20 minutes, respectively.After light treatment, each group of guinea pigs was injected with 99mTc-TRODAT-1 for SPECT DAT imaging, and image data were collected by Micro-SPECT.The region of interest (ROI) of guinea pig retinas was analyzed using Micro-CT software.The counts of ROI were expressed as Sum, which reflected the relative distribution or density of DAT.The DAT density between experimental and control eyes of guinea pigs after light exposure, the differences in DAT density between guinea pig eyes under different light intensities, the differences in DAT density between guinea pig eyes after different light durations, and the cumulative and interactive effects of light intensity and light duration on DAT aggregation in guinea pigs were compared.Another 3 guinea pigs were selected, and after light exposure, the 3 guinea pigs' eyes underwent continuous image acquisition for 6 hours at 20-minute intervals, and 18 images per guinea pig were acquired to analyze the trend of DAT density in guinea pig eyes over time.This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Shanghai General Hospital (No.2020SQ196). Results:The DAT density (Sum value) of experimental eyes at 500, 5 000, and 10 000 lx were 5 598.97±3 159.38, 8 636.78±2 503.16, and 7 407.39±2 053.41, respectively, significantly higher than 4 388.89±2 902.90, 5 981.92±3 057.44, and 5 091.32±2 039.36 of control eyes ( t=5.31, 4.69, 11.80; all at P<0.001). At 500 lx, there was a statistically significant difference in DAT density between the experimental and control eyes of guinea pigs at different light exposure durations ( F=14.01, P<0.01), while no significant difference was found at other light intensities at different light exposure durations (both at P>0.05). When the light exposure time was 5 minutes, the difference in DAT density between the experimental and control eyes of guinea pigs was significantly greater in the 10 000 lx group than in the 500 lx group ( t=-13.22, P<0.001). There was no statistically significant difference between different groups at other light exposure durations (all at P>0.05). No cumulative or interactive effects of light intensity and light duration were found on the differences in DAT density (all at P>0.05). Continuous scanning after illumination showed that DAT density in guinea pig retinas first increased to a peak over time and then gradually returned to normal values. Conclusions:Light, even under moderate or normal light levels, can cause an increase in the secretion of DAT in the retina and stimulate the production of DAT.Light intensity and duration have no cumulative or interactive effects on the distribution and density of retinal DAT.

Objective To compare the influence between self-monitoring of blood gluocose(SMBG)combined with digital diabetes management and traditional management mode on the related clinical indexes in the patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods A total of 100 patients with T2DM treated in the endocrinology and metabolism outpatient department of this hospital from January 2022 to June 2022 and meeting the inclusion criteria of this study were successively included.They were divided into the experimental group and control group.The experimental group was managed by SMBG combined with digital diabetes man-agement mode,while the control group adopted the traditional management mode,the outpatient clinic follow up once a month.After 6 months of follow-up,fasting blood glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)and urinary microalbumin/creatinine ratio(UACR)were compared between the two groups.Results The FBG,HbA1c,LDL-C,and UACR of the experimental group decreased after intervention when compared with baseline.Compared with the control group,the FBG[8.7(7.7,9.2)mmol/L vs.10.8(8.8,12.7)mmol/L,Z=-4.660,P＜0.001],HbA1c[6.3％(5.3,7.8)％vs.8.5％(7.2,10.0)％,Z=-5.130,P＜0.001],LDL-C[2.6(1.8,3.1)mmol/L vs.3.3(2.6,4.0)mmol/L,Z=-4.112,P＜0.001],UACR[16.1(3.5,46.5)mg/g vs.58.4(11.9,108.0)mg/g,Z=-2.220,P=0.026]for patients in the expriemental group after intervention were significantly decreased.Conclusion SMBG combined with digital diabetes management model can significantly improve the clinical indicators of patients.

Objective:To explore the feasibility and application value of indocyanine green(ICG)lymph node tracer in clinical early stage cervical cancer staging surgery.Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed on 31 patients with early clinical stage(ⅠA1-ⅡA1)cervical cancer who underwent laparoscopic radical hysterectomy,pelvic lymph node resection and para-aortic lymph node sampling were selected as the study subjects in Sichuan Provincial Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from April 1,2022 to July 31,2023.They were divided into the ICG fluorescence tracer group(ICG group,17 cases)and the conventional surgery group(control group,14 ca-ses)based on whether ICG was injected or not.The resected lymph nodes were classified and submitted for ex-amination according to location and whether they presented visualization.The method of contingency coefficient was used to analyze the correlations between lymph node visualization patterns and lymph node metastasis and clinicopathological characteristics,and the perioperative data of the two groups were compared.Results:①The postoperative stage of 8 patients(25.8％)(4 in each group)were improved compared with the preoperative clini-cal stage.The number of resected lymph nodes in the ICG group was less than that in the control group(18±9 nodes/person vs.26±11 nodes/person,P＜0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in operation time,intraoperative blood loss,postoperative FIGO(2018)staging,lymph node metastasis rate,and positive rate of resected lymph nodes between the two groups(P＞0.05).②The visualization rate in the ICG group was 64.71％(11/17).There was no statistically significant difference in the positive rate between the visualized and non-visualized lymph nodes(P＞0.05).There was a significant correlation between lymph node visualization and lymph node metastasis(C=0.707,P＜0.05),and a significant correlation was found between lymph node visual-ization and lymph node metastasis in the same patient(C=0.557,P＜0.05).Conclusions:The rate of lymph node metastasis in clinical early stage cervical cancer is low.ICG fluorescence visualization can trace lymph nodes and predict the risk of metastasis.By only resecting the visualized lymph nodes under the guidance of ICG tracer,the lymph node metastasis status of early-stage cervical cancer can be fully evaluated,which is worthy of further research.

Objective To investigate the effects of electroacupuncture on the intestinal NIMA-related kinase 7(NEK7)/NOD-like receptor thermal protein domain associated protein 3(NLRP3)signaling pathway in mice with Parkinson's disease.Methods According to the randomized number table method,36 C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into the control group,the model group,and the electroacupuncture group,with 12 mice per group.The Parkinson's disease mouse model was established by gavage of rotenone solution(10 mg/kg)for 28 d.After molding,the electroacupuncture group was stimulated with"Fengfu"(DU17),"Taichong"(LR3),and"Zusanli"(ST36)for 14 d,while the control group and the model group were only treated with immobilization.The motor ability of mice was detected by pole climbing test and hindlimb rating score,the positive expressions of nigral tyrosine hydroxylase(TH)and colon occludin were detected by immunohistochemistry,the histological morphology of colon was observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining,and Western blotting was used to detect the protein expressions of NEK7,NLRP3,Caspase-1,and interleukin-1β(IL-1β).Results Compared with the control group,mice in the model group had lower score on the pole climbing test and a higher hindlimb rating score(P＜0.01);the average optical densities of nigral TH and colon occludin were decreased(P＜0.01);significant inflammatory infiltration was observed in the colonic tissue,and the muscularis propria was thinned;and the protein expressions of NEK7,NLRP3,Caspase-1,and IL-1β in the colonic tissue were elevated(P＜0.01).Compared with the model group,mice in the electroacupuncture group had higher score on the pole climbing test and a lower hindlimb rating score(P＜0.01);the average optical densities of nigral TH and colon occludin were increased(P＜0.01);the degree of inflammatory infiltration of colonic tissues decreased,and the muscularis propria was thickened;and the protein expressions of NEK7,NLRP3,Caspase-1,and IL-1β of colonic tissues were decreased(P＜0.01).Conclusion Electroacupuncture at"Fengfu"(DU17),"Taichong"(LR3),and"Zusanli"(ST36)can improve motor functional impairments in mice with Parkinson's disease,and the mechanism may be through the inhibition of intestinal NEK7/NLRP3 pathway,improving the intestinal barrier damage,relieving the intestinal inflammation,and improving the dopaminergic neuron injury.

Objective To investigate the changes of macular microcirculation and aqueous humor cytokine expression in patients with diabetic macular edema(DME)after anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)treatment,and analyze the relationship with efficacy.Methods A total of 62 patients(91 eyes)with DME who were treated in the First Hospital of Nanchang from October 2021 to August 2023 were selected and treated with intravitreal injection of conbercept.According to the reduction of central macular thickness(CMT),they were divided into efficacy significant group(CMT reduction≥100μm,59 eyes)and non-efficacy significant group(CMT reduction＜100μm or increase,32 eyes).The changes of CMT,vessel density(VD)of superficial capillary plexus(SCP),fovea avascular area(FAZ),VEGF,interleuki(IL)-6,IL-8,and IL-10 after anti-VEGF treatment were analyzed.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to evaluate the predictive value of each index.Results Before treatment,the levels of VEGF and IL-10 in aqueous humor in efficacy significant group were significantly higher than those in non-efficacy significant group,and the level of IL-8 was significantly lower than that in non-efficacy significant group(P＜0.05).After treatment,levels of VEGF,IL-6,IL-8 and IL-10 in aqueous humor in both groups were significantly lower than before treatment(P＜0.05).The levels of VEGF,IL-6 and IL-8 in aqueous humor in efficacy significant group were significantly lower than those in non-efficacy significant group,and the level of IL-10 was significantly higher than that in non-efficacy significant group(P＜0.05).Before and after anti-VEGF treatment,there were no significant changes in FAZ area and SCP-VD in both groups(P＞0.05).Correlation analysis showed that VEGF(r=0.571,P＜0.001)and IL-10(r=0.382,P=0.008)in aqueous humor at baseline were positively correlated with CMT reduction,IL-8 was negatively correlated with CMT reduction(r=-0.689,P＜0.001).IL-6,FAZ area and SCP-VD were not correlated with CMT reduction(P＞0.05).Cytokine levels were not correlated with FAZ area and SCP-VD(P＞0.05).ROC curve results showed that area under the curve of IL-8,VEGF and IL-10 at baseline predicting anti-VEGF efficacy were 0.825,0.813 and 0.676,respectively.Conclusion The levels of VEGF,IL-8,and IL-10 in aqueous humor at baseline in DME patients were correlated with anti-VEGF efficacy and could predict the efficacy of anti-VEGF.

Objective To explore and compare the clinical efficacy of orthopedic robot assisted femoral neck system(FNS)and traditional manual FNS in the treatment of femoral neck fractures in middle-aged and young people.Methods The clinical data of 62 consecutive patients with femoral neck fracture and age less than 65 years old admitted to the Intelligent Or-thopaedic Department of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital from June 2021 to June 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.According to whether orthopedic robot-assisted surgery the patients were divided into two groups:30 patients aged 34 to 56 years old were treated with orthopedic robot assisted FNS internal fixation after closed or limited open reduction(experimental group);32 pa-tients aged 33 to 54 years old underwent FNS internal fixation after closed or limited open reduction(control group).The age,gender,time from injury to admission,average hospital stay,surgical duration,intraoperative bleeding volume,and intraopera-tive fluoroscopy frequency of two groups of patients were analyzed and compared.The hip joint function in both groups of pa-tients was evaluated using the Harris hip joint scoring standard at 6 months after surgery.Results All 62 patients with femoral neck fractures successfully completed the surgery.There was no significant difference(P＞0.05)between the experimental group and the control group in terms of baseline data such as age,gender,time from injury to admission,time from admission to surgery and the intraoperative bleeding.The surgical duration of the experimental group was significantly shorter than that of the control group[42.1(28.5,50.7)min vs.53.4(36.9,62.5)min,Z=-2.338,P=0.019].The intraoperative X-ray fluoroscopy frequency of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group[8.0(6.0,11.0)times vs.15.0(13.0,17.0)times,Z=-5.960,P＜0.001].In terms of postoperative hip joint function,there was no significant difference in Harris score between the two groups of patients at 6-month follow-up(P＞0.05).Conclusion Compared with manual operation of FNS,orthopedic robot assisted FNS in the treatment of femoral neck fractures can help shorten surgical time,reduce intraop-erative fluoroscopy frequency,and have similar therapeutic effects on long-term hip joint function recovery.

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of high hip center technique total hip arthroplasty(THA)for CroweⅡ and Ⅲ developmental dysplasia of hip(DDH)and severe hip osteoarthritis(HOA).Methods From January 2018 to Jan-uary 2020,74 patients with Crowe type Ⅱ and Ⅲ DDH and severe HOA were admitted,and 37 cases of anatomical hip center reconstruction were taken as control group,including 7 males and 30 females,aged from 42 to 65 years old with an average of(58.40±4.98)years old,body mass index(BMI)ranged from 18 to 29 kg·m-2 with an average of(23.02±2.21)kg·m-2.Thirty-seven routine high hip center technical reconstruction were performed as study group,including 5 males and 32 females,aged from 41 to 65 years old with an average of(57.31±5.42)years old,BMI ranged from 18 to 29 kg·m-2 with an average of(23.14±2.07)kg·m-2.The patients presented with hip pain,limited function and range of motion,and gait instability before surgery.All patients underwent THA,the control group underwent intraoperative anatomical hip center reconstruction,and the study group underwent intraoperative high hip joint reconstruction.The perioperative indicators of the two groups were com-pared.The hip joint function,balance function and gait of the patients were evaluated before surgery,3 months,6 months,and 12 months after surgery.The length difference of both lower limbs,horizontal distance of rotation center,vertical distance of ro-tation center and femoral eccentricity were measured before operation and 1 year after operation.The incidence of complica-tions in the two groups during the operation and postoperative follow-up was counted.Results The operation time of the study group was shorter than that of the control group,and the intraoperative blood loss was less than that of the control group(P＜0.05).After 12-months follow-up,1 was lost to followvup in study group and 2 were lost to follow-up in control group.The Har-ris scores and Berg balance scale(BBS),pace,stride frequency and single step length in the study group were higher than those in the control group at 3 months and 6 months after operation(P＜0.05);there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in the indexes 12 months after operation(P＞0.05).The vertical distance of the center of rotation of the study group was greater than that of the control group 12 months after operation(P＜0.05),and there was no significant difference in the length difference of the lower limbs,the horizontal distance of the center of rotation,and the femoral eccentricity between two groups(P＞0.05).There were no complications in either group.Conclusion The long-term effects of TH A in patients with DDH and severe HO A were similar between the two central hip reconstruction methods,and the safety was good,and the high hip central reconstruction technique could shorten the operation time and reduce the amount of intraoperative blood loss.At the same time,it has certain advantages in early recovery of hip joint function,balance function and walking function of patients.
