Journal of Preventive Medicine 2024;36(5):397-401
Objective:
To investigate the marriage intention and its influencing factors among HIV-infected men who have sex with men (MSM), so as to provide the reference for formulating high-risk behavior intervention strategies and reducing the risk of HIV transmission among this population.
Methods:
Unmarried HIV-infected MSM were sampled from newly reported HIV/AIDS patients in Gongshu District of Hangzhou City from 2020 to 2022. Participants' sociodemographic information, family status and marriage intention were collected using questionnaire surveys. Factors affecting marriage intention were identified using a multivariable logistic regression model.
Results:
A total of 430 questionnaires were allocated and 400 valid questionnaires were recovered, with an effective recovery rate of 93.02%. The respondents had a mean age of (28.90±4.67) years, and included 271 cases with registered residence outside Hangzhou City (67.75%). There were 82 cases indicating that they would probably or definitely get married, accounting for 20.50%, including 46 cases (56.10%) aged 30 years and older, 67 cases (81.71%) engaged in commercial services/freelance work/worker and 53 cases (64.63%) being the only children. Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that unmarried HIV-infected MSM who were aged 30 years and older (OR=2.751, 95%CI: 1.230-6.154), had a monthly income of <10 000 Yuan (5 000 to <10 000 Yuan, OR=7.010, 95%CI: 2.049-23.981; <5 000 Yuan, OR=5.229, 95%CI: 1.803-15.165), had a high school education and below (OR=5.935, 95%CI: 1.775-19.844), were the only children (OR=3.407, 95%CI: 1.468-7.910), came from families with economic conditions above the average level (OR=8.906, 95%CI: 2.070-38.308), did not disclose their sexual orientation (OR=3.298, 95%CI: 1.118-9.727), held a positive attitude towards government policies (OR=70.544, 95%CI: 14.583-341.237), had no homosexual intercourse in the past six months (OR=3.583, 95%CI: 1.278-10.044), and had not informed their sexual partners of their HIV status (OR=2.910, 95%CI: 1.228-6.897) were more willing to get married.
Conclusion
A certain proportion of unmarried HIV-infected MSM in Gongshu District are willing to get married, and their marriage intention is affected by age, educational level, family economic conditions, the only children or not, disclosing sexual orientation or not, having homosexual intercourse in the past six months or not, informing sexual partners of HIV status or not, and the attitude towards government policies.

Objective:To compare the localization accuracy of interictal 18F-FDG and 18F-flumazenil (FMZ) PET/CT imaging for focal cortical dysplasia (FCD). Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 22 patients (12 males, 10 females; age 8-36 years) with pathologically confirmed FCD who underwent surgical resection at Huashan Hospital, Fudan University from July 2021 to June 2023. All patients underwent 18F-FDG and 18F-FMZ PET/CT scans before surgery. Surgical pathological diagnosis was used as the gold standard. Visual scoring was used to analyze the images. The accuracy of the two imaging methods in the localization of FCD was compared, and subgroup analysis (FCD Ⅱa, FCD Ⅱb) of different pathological type was further performed. Paired- t test, χ2 test or Fisher′s exact test was used to analyze the data. Results:The visual score of 18F-FMZ PET/CT was higher than that of 18F-FDG (3.00±0.82 vs 2.27±0.92; t=4.17, P=0.020). The accuracy of interictal 18F-FMZ PET/CT was 77.27%(17/22), which was higher than that of 18F-FDG PET/CT (36.36%, 8/22; χ2=7.50, P=0.006). Subgroup analysis showed that within the cohort of patients diagnosed with FCD Ⅱa ( n=18), 18F-FMZ PET/CT outperformed 18F-FDG in terms of accuracy for localization (15/18 vs 6/18; P=0.006). Conclusion:Compared to 18F-FDG, 18F-FMZ PET/CT demonstrates clearer and more accurate identification of lesion borders, and exhibits higher precision, which provides valuable guidance for preoperative localization.

OBJECTIVE:
To analyze the clinical characteristics and spectrum of SPTB gene variants among 16 Chinese children with Hereditary spherocytosis (HS) and explore their genotype-phenotype correlation.
METHODS:
Sixteen children who were diagnosed with HS at the Affiliated Hospital of Capital Institute of Pediatrics from November 2018 to July 2022 were selected as the research subjects. Genetic testing was carried out by whole exome sequencing. Candidate variants were verified by Sanger sequencing and subjected to bioinformatic analysis and prediction of 3D structure of the protein. Correlation between the SPTB genotypes and clinical phenotypes was analyzed using Chi-squared test.
RESULTS:
The male-to-female ratio of the HS patients was 6 : 10, with the median age being 7-year-and-10-month. Clinical features of the patients have included anemia, reticulocytosis and gradual onset of splenomegaly. Mild, moderate and severe anemia have respectively occurred in 56.25% (9/16), 31.25% (5/16) and 12.50% (2/16) of the patients. SPTB gene variants were detected in all patients, among which 10 were unreported previously and 7 were de novo in origin. Loss of function (LOF) variants accounted for 93.75% (15/16). Only one missense variant was detected. Eleven, 4 and 1 of the variants had occurred in the repeat domain, CH1 domain, and dimerization domain, respectively. There was no significant correlation between the type or domain of the SPTB gene variants with the clinical features such as severity of anemia (x² = 3.345, P > 0.05). All of the variants were predicted to be pathogenic or likely pathogenic based on the guidelines from the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics.
CONCLUSION
Mild to moderate anemia are predominant clinical features of the HS children harboring a SPTB gene variant, for which LOF variants are the main mutational type. The clinical feature of HS is unaffected by the type of the variants.

OBJECTIVE:
To review the research progress of the feasibility of a new treatment method for atrophic rhinitis (ATR) based on tissue engineering technology (seed cells, scaffold materials, and growth factors), and provide new ideas for the treatment of ATR.
METHODS:
The literature related to ATR was extensively reviewed. Focusing on the three aspects of seed cells, scaffold materials, and growth factors, the recent research progress of ATR treatment was reviewed, and the future directions of tissue engineering technology to treat ATR were proposed.
RESULTS:
The pathogenesis and etiology of ATR are still unclear, and the effectiveness of the current treatments are still unsatisfactory. The construction of a cell-scaffold complex with sustained and controlled release of exogenous cytokines is expected to reverse the pathological changes of ATR, promoting the regeneration of normal nasal mucosa and reconstructing the atrophic turbinate. In recent years, the research progress of exosomes, three-dimensional printing, and organoids will promote the development of tissue engineering technology for ATR.
CONCLUSION
Tissue engineering technology can provide a new treatment method for ATR.

China Pharmacy 2022;33(10):1177-1182
OBJECTIVE To screen the effective anti-depressant part from Coreopsis tinctoria and study its mechanism. METHODS The anti-depressant effects of 30%,50%,70% and 90% ethanol elution fractions from 75% ethanol extract of C. tinctoria(CCTE)were investigated by tail suspension test and forced swimming test. Mice head-drop test ,reserpine antagonistic test, yohimbine toxicity enhancement test and in vitro monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibition test were used to explore the mechanism of the relationship between the effective parts and 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) and norepinephrine (NE) nerves. RESULTS The 50% and 70%CCTE could significantly shorten the accumulative immobility time in tail suspension test and forced swimming test (P<0.05 or P<0.01),increase the number of head-shaking times (P<0.01),reverse the eyelid ptosis , hypothermia and immobility caused by hematopin (P<0.05 or P<0.01),and increase the number of dead mice caused by yohimbine toxicity (P<0.01). IC 50 of okanin (CCT-6),isookanin(CCT-7)and taxifolin (CCT-8)against MAO were 8.71,37.89 and 67.07 µmol/L,respectively. CONCLUSIONS The 50% and 70%CCTE are the effective anti-depressant parts of C. tinctoria . Its anti-depressant effect may be related to the reinforcement of 5-HT and the activation of NE nerves. The inhibition of CCT- 6, CCT-7 and CCT- 8 against MAO may be one of the anti-depressant mechanism of C. tinctoria .

Objective:To analyze the consistency and correlation between the Chinese Version of Swanson Nolan and Pelham, Version Ⅳ Scale (SNAP-Ⅳ) and the Integrated Visual and Auditory Continuous Performance Test (IVA-CPT) in the assessment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), thus providing a reliable basis for the diagnosis of ADHD, and reducing the misdiagnosis rate and missed diagnosis rate. Methods:Clinical data of children to be diagnosed as ADHD in the Department of Children′s Rehabilitation, Yuying Children′s Hospital of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University from October 2019 to July 2020 were collected.A total of 282 SNAP-Ⅳ and IVA-CPT profiles were collected, and the Kappa test and Pearson test were used to retrospectively analyzed for their consistency and correlation in the diagnosis of ADHD. Results:SNAP-Ⅳ and IVA-CPT were consistent in the diagnosis of ADHD (Kappa value=0.514, total coincidence rate=65.6%, P<0.000 1). Inattention subset scores of SNAP-Ⅳ were consistent with the assessment of ADHD by IVA-CPT (Kappa value=0.485, total coincidence rate=75.5%, P<0.000 1). Inattention subset scores of SNAP-Ⅳ were negatively correlated with the Full Scale Attention Quotient (FAQ) in IVA-CPT ( r=-0.71, P<0.000 1). Hyperactivity-impulsive subscale in the SNAP-Ⅳ and IVA-CPT were consistent in the assessment of hyperactivity-impulsive behavior (Kappa value=0.585, total coincidence rate=81.6%, P<0.000 1). Hyperactivity-impulse subset scores were negatively correlated with the Full Scale Response Control Quotient (FRCQ) in IVA-CPT ( r=-0.74, P<0.000 1). Conclusions:Both SNAP-Ⅳ and IVA-CPT have certain diagnostic potential of ADHD, showing good consistency and correlation. They can be both used to provide a more comprehensive diagnosis basis, thereby reducing the misdiagnosis rate and missed diagnosis rate of ADHD.

Objective:Using ultrasound imaging technology to evaluate the contraction characteristics of diaphragm in patients with chronic low back pain. Methods:Twenty nine patients with chronic low back pain and 26 healthy persons recruited from the rehabilitation department of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from November 2019 to April 2020 were selected and divided into the low back pain (LBP) group and the healthy control group. The thickness of the diaphragm (Tdi) of the subjects during deep breathing was evaluated by portable color Doppler ultrasound equipment under different body positions. The subjects were required to perform maximum inspiration for total lung capacity (TLC) and expiration for functional residual capacity (FRC) in the supine and standing position, respectively. The end-inspiratory diaphragm thickness (TdiTLC) and end-expiratory diaphragm thickness (TdiFRC) were recorded, and the diaphragmatic thickening fraction (DTF) was calculated. The general data of subjects with lower back pain and the correlation between Oswestry Dysfunction Index (ODI) and diaphragm function were analyzed; The diaphragm function of healthy control group and LBP group were compared; The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve of Tdi and DTF in the diagnosis of lower back pain were analyzed. Results:ODI lifting score was negatively correlated with standing TdiTLC ( r=-0.50, P<0.01). In intra-group comparison, the TdiTLC and TdiFRC values of healthy subjects in standing position were increased compared with those in supine position ( t=6.115, 7.314, all P<0.001); In standing position, TdiTCL and TdiFRC values in LBP group were increased compared with those in supine position ( t=2.834, 4.673, all P<0.01). In comparison between groups, TdiTLC values in supine and standing position of LBP group were significantly lower than those in healthy control group ( t=2.597, 3.338, all P<0.05); In standing position, TdiFRC of patients in LBP group was significantly lower than that of healthy control group ( t=2.098, P=0.041) and DTF value of patients in LBP group was significantly lower than that of healthy control group ( t=2.902, P=0.006). When TdiTCL≤3.3 mm in supine position was used to predict low back pain, the diagnostic sensitivity and specificity were 78.6% and 53.8%, respectively, and the area under the curve was 0.661. When TdiTCL≤4.5 mm in standing position was used to predict low back pain, the diagnostic sensitivity and specificity were 95.7% and 46.2%, respectively, and the area under the curve was 0.759. When DTF≤81.3% in standing position was used to predict low back pain, the diagnostic sensitivity and specificity were 52.2% and 84.6%, respectively, and the area under the curve was 0.698. Conclusions:It is found in our study that the diaphragm contractile function of patients with lower back pain is worse than that of normal subjects, and the difference was significant in standing position. We suggest that the right-side ultrasound image acquisition in the patient′s standing position is helpful to ensure the accuracy and objectivity of the measurement results. TdiTCL≤4.5 mm or DTF≤81.3% in standing position can be used as one of the reference indexes for the combined diagnosis of chronic low back pain.
