Monotropein is a compound classified into iridoid which is found in herbaceous plants Morindae officinalis. It possesses anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-osteoarthritic activities. Previous study indicates that monotropein may have the potential to combat cardiovascular disease, although the related mechanism remains unclear. In this study, we constructed the model of atherosclerosis by oxidized low density lipoprotein-induced vascular smooth muscle cells and LDLR –/–mice given high-fat diet to investigate the effects of monotropein on atherosclerosis.Our results showed that monotropein treatment significantly reduced the area of atherosclerotic plaques and necrotic cores in mice, inhibited the proliferation and migration of vascular smooth muscle cells, and reduced inflammatory responses and oxidative stress, which in turn alleviated atherosclerosis. In addition, we found that monotropein reduced the expression levels of P-NF-κB and P-AP-1. In conclusion, our data suggest that monotropein inhibited the proliferation and migration of vascular smooth muscle cells by mediating the activity of NF-κB, AP-1, reducing the level of inflammation and oxidative stress, and thus resisting the development of atherosclerosis. These findings demonstrate the efficacious therapeutic impact of monotropein on atherosclerosis and elucidate its specific target.

Facing this international public health emergency, Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University has actively explored the management strategies to conduct standardized residency training in the epidemic prevention and control, including to ensure residents' health status before returning to work through accurate screening, focused monitoring and classified management; to conduct the training of COVID-19 knowledge and reasonably arrange the clinical work and actively explore innovative teaching models in multiple ways; to guarantee the normal restoration of the standardized residency training work on the basis of routine monitoring during the epidemic prevention and control as soon as possible. Through this epidemic outbreak, it's found that it's urgent to attach great importance to the cultivation of the ability to deal with public health emergencies, and the management departments should strengthen their ability to handle and manage public emergencies.

Objective: To explore the effect of plan-do-check-act (PDCA) cycle on contraceptive methods after induced abortion in female college students. Methods: A total of 456 unmarried female college students who underwent artificial abortion in Tongde Hospital of Zhejiang Province from January 2018 to May 2019 were selected. These students were randomly divided into control group (n=228) and intervention group(n=228). Students from the control group accepted Post Abortion Care (PAC) service, while the intervention group accepted the management of PDCA cycle on basis of PAC services. Results: In the intervention group, the rate of highly effective contraception immediately after abortion and six months after abortion were 91.23% and 71.17% respectively, while in the control group were 82.89% and 60.00%, the intervention group was higher than the control group(χ2=7.03, 5.98, P<0.05). The rate of unsafe contraceptive in the intervention group six months after abortion was 3.60%, while in the control group was 20.00%, the intervention group was lower than the control group(χ2=28.35, P<0.05). Conclusion The PDCA cycle can effectively improve the utilization rate of high efficiency contraceptive methods after induced abortion in college students, reduce the rate of unsafe contraceptive six months after abortion, and it is helpful to reduce the incidence of short-term unplanned pregnancy after abortion.

Objective: To explore the effect of reproductive health education on health literacy of hospitalized female adolescents,and to provide reference for the protection of their physical and mental health. Methods: A total of 102 female adolescents who were hospitalized in department of gynaecology from January 2019 to December 2019 were selected for reproductive health education and questionnaire survey. Results: There were 65 cases of unplanned pregnancy (4 cases of tubal pregnancy), 18 cases of gynecological tumor (1 case of ovarian malignancy), 11 cases of gynecological inflammation (1 case of tubal abscess), and 8 cases of abnormal uterine bleeding (2 cases of blood transfusion).Eighty-six patients (84.3%) were treated surgically, 7 cases had their ovaries and/or fallopian tubes removed. After reproductive health education,health literacy of menstruation and ovulation, reproductive organ tumor, gynecological inflammation(inducing factors,clinical manifestations,harmfulness), harm of premature sexual life, scientific contraception, sexually transmitted diseases(types,transmission routes,preventioe measures), abortion hazard(short-term and longterm complications) and necessity of health examination improved significantly(χ2=14.8, 25.1, 15.7, 30.6, 18.6, 25.9, 31.1, 17.8, 19.1, 15.2, 40.1, 58.6, 69.8, P<0.05). Conclusion The lack of reproductive health knowledge of female hospitalized adolescents may lead to unplanned pregnancy, tumor, inflammation and abnormal uterine bleeding.Reproductive health education can significantly improve the health literacy of female adolescents and ensure their physical and mental health.

Objective:To introduce the workflow of individualized 3D-printed intracavitary/interstitial vaginal template design. Dosimetric parameters and operation safety were investigated to evaluate the performance of 3D-printed template and freehand implantation.Methods:Forty patients previously treated with intracavitary/interstitial Ir-192 HDR brachytherapy were enrolled in this study. All patients were randomly divided into the treatment ( n=20) and control groups ( n=20). In the treatment group, twenty patients were treated with individualized 3D-printed template. CT-based preplan was carried out to determine the needle implantation cannels. Template with customized shape and implantation cannels was then produced by a 3D printer. Finally, the template was inserted under CT guidance. In the control group, twenty patients received freehand implantation. Needle insertion was decided empirically without the preplan process. Results:The difference of D 90 for high risk CTV was found to be minor, while the D 2cm 3 in the rectum, bladder and sigmoid was significantly improved in the treatment group. Meanwhile, the high dose region and conformal index were also improved in the treatment group. A total of 273 needles were inserted and one (0.3%) not-used needle was found. No normal tissues were penetrated during needle insertion in the treatment group. In the control group, a total of 203 needles were inserted and 4(2.0%) not-used needles were observed, and normal tissue penetration occurred in 3(1.5%) needle insertion. Conclusions:The individualized 3D-printed template implantation approach has advantages in terms of dosimetry and safety compared with freehand implantation. The actual treatment can achieve the dosimetric design requirements of the preplan.
